6500 a printing problems

my printer was fine, have had it for a year now, it will print the color but not black, how to fix?

Ok. If you want you can try to soak the print head in the middle of the hot water. You can do this by removing the printhead of the printer. When you open the lid of the printer, the cartridge may slip to be accessible. First remove all the cartridges. Then, there is a level on the side on the transport. Pick up this lever gently and slide the carriage of the printer.

Now, you can put a small amount of water on a plate or shallow Bowl. Sit the cart in the right part of the water and let it sit for about 5 minutes. It is recommended to clean all the individual ink jets in the assembly.

Allow to dry then transport and then to reverse previous steps. Be sure to not get stuck back on the wet ramasseherbe! I would like to know if it works.

Thank you

Sean

  • Officejet 6500 wireless printing problem

Hello. Last week I got an Officejet 6500 Wireless, used. (toll-free from a friend)

Last week, I installed a new black ink cartridge. Yesterday I printed something for the first time and it worked very well. Today, I sent a print order for five pages to a single page text document (no color on the document). The machine three copies fine, then the last two are out stained as if the ink was running out.

I went out the black cartridge and it shook a little, used a can of air to eat the area where the cartridge fits inside the printer and I tried again, but now I get only blank pages! Does anyone have an idea of what could be the problem?

I'm sorry you have a problem with the printing of blank pages. It could be a couple of different reason.

The print head may need to clean or replace. Sometimes the cartridge needs to be cleaned.

Print a self-test page and see if you get white pages.

    Welcome to the mike325 forums

I saw your post on your Officejet 6500 more model cut your impressions. I suggest an alignment running on the printer to see if that helps. You can also run the HP print and Scan Doctor to solve printing problems and that the tool can help to clear up the problem.

To help alignment, click here and scroll down until "step 5: align the print head": align print head

I hope that these steps to do the trick, please let me know the results!

It seems that I too was victim of the issue of "change the cartridge and cannot print.

I changed the black cartridge, cleaned the heads several times and nothing.

I confirmed that the cartridge is properly ventilated.  I even checked to see if the filter to print screen

  • OfficeJet 6500 e709: printer carriage stuck far right - no. paper jams

    Hello community,

Recently my carriage of the printer on my HP Officejet 6500 E709n simply ceased to pass on the right side. I turn on my printer and he came with a message of paper jam.

I checked and traveled all Paper Jam troubleshooting steps and the steps to move the printer, nothing helps.   said videos and done all suggested steop nothing helps.

The last thing I printed has 3 addresses on envelopes. I have placed all three envelopes in the tray at the top of a stack of paper that was already there. The first envelope print, while the second has picked up two envelopes - but printed on the top - except, I noticed the corner of the return address, although entirely in tact, had a small spot of ink. I replaced the third envelope and it printed fine.

Please, can someone help me solve this problem?

    @JohnnyBones, welcome to the forums!

I read your post about the question of jam of transport that you are facing with the Officejet 6500 Wireless printer. I understand that you have already tried the recommended troubleshooting guides, I posted below, does not.

The following suggestion I have would be to ask to HP directly to see about having the printer repaired or replaced. If the issue was fixable, the troubleshooting steps should have helped!

    1. One "original jam: clear jam and press OK"message for HP Officejet and Photosmart all-in-One Series Printer.
    2. "A 'carriage jam' or ' 0X610000F6" message for HP Officejet 6500 (E709a) and 6500 wireless (E709n and E709q) all-in-One printers

    Hello

Sorry to hear that you are experiencing printing problems.

You use the functions AirPrint and ePrint? The phone is able to see the printer?

Things to check would be that the printer and the telephone are always connected to the same wifi network and that there has been no wifi password.

    Hi AZGUY47,

I'm happy that has managed to solve the problem for you, most of the time. Individual programs sometimes do not hold settings, if it is not set in the driver itself. If you have time, you can certainly try to check the updates of Chrome or uninstall/reinstall Chrome as well.

If you feel that my previous post was a solution, would you be able to mark as one acceptable Solution to others with the same question can more easily find this post?

Hope this helps, have a great weekend!

  • OfficeJet 6500 only prints the top of the page

Have a problem with getting my Officejet 6500 to print the entire page.  Top of the body impression seems to be running on the top of the page, as if the paper was not inserted enough away early in the cycle of printing.  Became "paper mismatch" error message briefly, but that does not appear now.  To check the installation of the printer for proper paper size (8.5 "x 11").  Was printing normally until recently.  Uninstalled and reinstalled HP web page software.  Any suggestions?

    Problem seems to be resolved!

The printing Assembly that fits into the back of the unit was not completely seated.  There is no warning generated unit that the Assembly was not in place, just erratic behavior and various messages like "out of paper" and jamming of paper.  I recommend that if you are having similar problems, that you check carefully that the back print Assembly is properly inserted into the machine.

    Kind regards

  • OfficeJet 6500 has printed a full page of black streaks when copying

My HP Officejet 6500 a prints a black page ridged when the copy of the glass or ADF. I cleaned the glass and ADF and got the same result. I can print the docs okay, it's just when I try to copy when I have the problem.

That's the bad news, I didn't want to hear. The warranty expired 3 months ago.  (

  • OfficeJet 6500 not print pdf files.

I had this problem for a while and really need help.  My officejet 6500 not print pdf files. It gives me just a little "beep", gushes out a piece of paper and that's it!  Prints everything else very well.  Removed and installed Adobe updated software, but that did not help.

I found that a McAfee application has been interfering and causes the error.  Removal of this application solves the problem.

  • Where can I find better, more correct instructions to solve printing problems by editing prefs.js?

Instructions of "resolve printing problems | Firefox Help, line 6. Delete all the lines in prefs.js that begin with print_ and save the file. "do not match what is actually in my prefs.js file.

In other words, he didn't y not the lines * beginning * with "print" or "print_". However, the string of five characters 'print' is * very * many times buried deep in a line of characters, but never at the beginning of a line and rarely followed by underscore. So I have no idea what I'm actually planned to do to solve my problem.

It seems to me that this is just a badly phrased statement that might be more appropriate for someone who is familiar with the codification and development of software, which I'm not. I don't have the time, experience or knowledge to understand. I need more literal/explicit/specific instructions.

The printing problem I have is that I have to print via WiFi to a printer in another room wired to another computer, and Firefox seems to switch or possibly reverse scales fonts for information of margin and the text of the Web page. In other words, the title of the document, date, time, prints etc very wide and the content of the page text prints almost too small to read.

If there is a lot of user set prefs involved that need to be reset, then it's much easier to delete related lines of the prefs.js is each of them with the button straight on the topic: config page and click Reset.
This is the main reason (single) to edit the prefs.js file.
