It seems that you have permission to order configured in acs. Make sure you have checked shell on acs---> defined group exec.

    Hello MCL_999,

Thanks for posting your question on the Microsoft Answers forum!

From your description, you get a message indicating that Core Services Shell.exe meets an Application error.

We will try to solve this by using a clean boot.

  • ACS 5.2 Access Services

Can someone explain the differences between

    Default device Admin

    and

    Default network access

5.2 ACS uses a model policy for the processing of applications. When applications are received, they are initially processed by the rules defined in the selection of Service rules. They are assessed in a first basis of correspondence to decide what AccessService to use. Each AccessService contains within it a politics of identity, mapping Group (optional for more advanced use cases) and authorization. Identity politics is similarlyy a first political mactch which is used to determine the identity, such as internal users store or Active Directory, to use to authenticate the user. [Note indetity policy can be set for "single selection" in which cases, identity database is used for all applications]. The authorization policy is used to determine the results of authorzation must be returned to the user. In the case of RADIUS request that returns a set of authorization profiles which is a set of attributes RADIUS and their values. In the case of GANYMEDE + requests that this may return a profile (a set of attributes) of the shell and/or the command sets that determine approval of the order.

During installation and default Service selection rules are configured so that all RADIUS requests are handled by the default network access service and all GANYMEDE + applications managed by admin by default in either device, the politics of identity and authorization are defined at authentifcate on the internal database and access with no additional attributes retrurned. So when installing, everything it takes to get the applications processed is defined a corresponding user and the network device and processing must complete.

These default definitions allow you to start quicked and then change the settings to change the policies to meet the needs of the Organization

  • "" Cisco ASA multiple defects remote control let users deny Service and bypass the security controls ".

Recently we have heard people talk of "Cisco ASA several flaws let users deny remote Service and bypass the security controls" under the securitytracker. However, as everyone knew, ASA 8.3 need a lot more resources on ASA HW to run. I checked that the bugs associated to above problem "CSCtg69742, CSCth36592, CSCtg61810, CSCte53635, CSCte46460, CSCte20030, CSCtf29867, CSCte14901, CSCsz80777, CSCsz36816" in the Cisco Bug Toolkit. None of them show any information if there is a fix for ASA 8.2 (x).

This means that Cisco starts to stop supporting 8.2 (x) and to push customers to their "so-called" best image 8.3 version (x) as a strategy of "marketing?

Cisco is best to find a solution for this problem on 8.2 (x) rather than push customers to something Cisco "love." It may not be the best interest of the customers AT ALL. Instead of pushing customers to ASA 8.3 (x), Cisco likely to push customers to its big competitor Juniper:)

I presented these 3 topics, which are bugs in the cmd shell. first they said I should introduce him to technet.  then they said I should present the msdn forums, although I don't see how it's appropriate, then told me I should post to Microsoft Answers, so I'm back to where I started.

I suspect that these bugs may not affect only XP but the newer versions of windows as well.

I have a XP Pro 32-bit and 3 GB of RAM, Pentium 4 HT 2.8GHz system (1 core, 2-wire).  It is a relatively new installation of windows, and I recently cleaned the CPU cooler.  I'm doing the repair of computers as my business and software development as a hobby.

    • do the hibernation twice in a row causes the need for a hard stop.  This is not good.  I should be able to do the overwintering without end.
    • Windows gets more unstable as time goes by, until I need a reboot after about a week or two of the race.  I wouldn't restart.  I don't want to restart. I need my development environment I need to put in place every time.
    • Windows gets slower and slower to react to the events of keyboard and mouse over time.  services.exe is apparently chewing 50% cpu for a few seconds so that this 'pause for the system' is happening.

I agree with the response of Al Dunbar, posted to your thread in the TechNet forum.

  • Shell CMD commands do not run

well this very annoying or maybe I am stupid and do something wrong, but... every time I goto "Start" then "run", type "cmd" to open the window of cmd and then try to type of destinations it does not work... For clarity, the text of the cmd window will have brackets on the left side of the line

For example... This is what it looks like when the window opens:

    [Microsoft Windows XP [Version 5.1.2600]
    [Copyright (C) 1985-2001 Microsoft Corp.
    [
    [C:\Documents and Settings\Matt >]

then leaves said: I want to go to the root C: / drive so I type in "C:\". ', it will give me the following message is displayed.

[« C:\ ' is not recognized as an internal or external, order
    [operable program or batch file.]

It keeps giving me this message whenever I type in whatever the destination I want to goto or record or other thing

    Any suggestions?

Use the cd command to change directories on the current disc.  By default, the change is relative to the current directory:

    CD...                          (one level up)
CD 'my documents' (the subfolder named My Documents )

Add the /d option to perform absolute change:

CD /d c:\                    (at the root of drive C :)

You can put another disk by typing just the drive letter:

    d: (change of drive d :))

  • User in several Windows/ACS group. Deny a permit

I have several groups on ACS each tied to a group of AD windows.

I have a VPN concentrator and a wireless Lan controller.

I use ACS to authenticate access to the time, but I would like some VPN users have wireless users too, not all.

If I use NAR to limit the "VPN users" to access WLC device all users with access to the VPN is not wireless, even those who are in the wireless group.

Is - it there anyway to operate?

    This is how it works.

Lets say you have three different groups on ad for NetworkAdmin, RouterAdmin,.

    Wireless.

Go to the external user database == database group mappings == Windows NT/2000 == select the field

to which you log == Add mapping.

Select the ad NetworkAdmin group and ciscosecure Group 1 card select the ad RouterAdmin group and map it to ciscosecure Group 2

Select the ad wireless Group and map it to ciscosecure Group 3

Mappings of working groups in the order in which they are defined, first set up mapping is

considered first and then second, third and so on. If a user is in AD Group NetworkAdmin and

which is mapped to the ACS 1 group and it's the first configured mapping is

First of ALL (if there is a user in the Group NetworkAdmin, it is always mapped to ciscosecure

1 and NO further mappings for this user group is enabled and the user is authenticated or

    rejected)

Scenario: If you have a user called cisco, group NetworkAdmin, cisco1 in RouterAdmin

Group and cisco2 wireless. They will be always dynamically mapped to group 1, 2 ACS

and 3 respectively as above mappings.

You can see the mappings on authentication passed to users as to which group are

    they are mapped to.

    SCENARIO:

Now if you want a NetworkAdmin user to authenticate to the NetworkAdmin devices and not

devices or wireless RouterAdmin you should apply NARs for Group 1 because

NetworkAdmin users connect to this group. Which will allow you access on the Group

basis for a particular NetworkAdmin NDG or NetworkAdmin individual NAS device.

    NOTE:

If you are applying NARs for VPN or wireless devices, you must configure two IP

Base AND CLI/DNIS founded together as NARs were originally designed for cisco IOS for

    routers and switches.

IMPORTANT: If a user authenticates successfully to the database AD once, his user name is cached on the database of ACS (NOT password) the only way to remove the previously cached user name is to go to usersetup find this user and manually remove it.

ACS will not support the following configuration:

    * A user active directory which is a member of the 3 AD groups (groups A, B and C) * 3 people

    groups are mapped within FAC as follows-> A Group1, Group2-> B and group 3-> C.

    * The user is in the 3 groups, however it will be always authenticated by Group 1 because

This is the first group, it appears in, even if there is a configured NAR summons

    the group-specific AAA clients.

However there are if your maps are below order...

    Groups NT groups ACS

    A, B, C ===> Group 1

    A ===> group 2

    B ===> group 3

    C ===> Group 4.

You can create a rule DIFFERENT for users a, B, C by configuring the NARS in Group1.

This rule applies for use ONLY if it is present in ALL three groups (A, B and C).

You can create a rule for users in Group A (Group 2)

You can create a rule for users in Group B (Group 3)

You can create a rule for users in Group C (Group 4)

Here I am also attaching links related to the group mapping in the user guide:

  • Refusing to sub-commands

Background: I am running SRA4 image on my 7613 router. The router crashes when I give the command "no tunnelx interface.

    Required Soultion:

I need to refuse a specific command on my router config mode: "no xyz Tunnel interface". How can I achieve this? The user must have administrative privileges to run "no interface vlan", "no interface G1/0.1"etc. ". I tried to do this but, ACS 4.0 is not looking for the auxiliary command, for example if I deny no tunnel interface in series of Shell commands, ACS seeks only two keywords, in this case no and interface... ASSISTANCE REQUESTED...

    Hello

One thing I would like to point out, looking at the screenshot is that the commands are case-sensitive and they must be defined the exactly as they are available.

But this does not mean that when executing these commands, you need to type them as case-sensitive. During the execution of the command, you can then run normally.

Taking as an example, the doc that you provided, as you can see that you have typed the command

    No int tu131

and in the journals of the ACS you followed.

Service = shell cmd = no Tunnel 131 interface

which means that you must create your shell command authorization

    deny no - interface Tunnel

    rather than,.

    deny not - tunnel interface

"no - deny the Tunnel interface" works in most cases, do not specify the full syntax. But if its doesn't and you can go to more granularity.

Subject of your question, the attached screenshot, you have checked, then

    "Unmatched orders: (*) allowed.

This means, wherever you apply this set of shell commands. * All * orders will be * permits *, with the exception of those that you refuse.

And it seems that you are denied time tunnel and interface on the router, the only reason I can think about this, the shell command authorization set you set is valid only up to the,.

    deny no - interface

"tunnel" is not correct, it should be "Tunnel".

    or to be more precise,

    deny no - interface Tunnel [0-9] [0-9] [0-9]

Since you can create 999 tunnels, so over wild-card will cover 0-999 tunnels.

Let me know if it helps.

    Kind regards

  • Windows 7: error 5 (access denied) when you try to start the Volume Shadow Copy (VSS) service

System: Win 7 Ultimate x 64 on a HP Pavilion DV6. My account is the user account only suitable on the laptop and an administrator account.

When you try to do a system restore, it came with an error that the Volume Shadow Copy Service did not work, even if this error code is not relevant for the purposes of this question later, I managed to run the system restore in SafeMode to an old restore point...

When you try to turn on VSS, I checked services.msc (which I ran as administrator) and VSS was off and on the manual. I tried clicking on start, the following error message came:

"Windows didn't start the Volume shadow copy on the Local computer service."
Error 5: access is denied. »

I then switched to automatic and tried again, same error. I tried since everything I can possibly think (including the definition of back and forth between manual & auto then trying the solutions below) to get the service starts, nothing helps. The solutions tried so far:

-net start vss high cmd - returns the same error (error 5 access is denied)
    -high vssvc.exe cmd - same
-changed the full control permissions for me, the group admin and NETWORK SERVICE (that I had to add) to the System32 folder and vssvc.exe but no change
-changed the permissions to full control for myself, admin and NETWORK SERVICE group (who even once, I must add) for VSS in regedit (open as administrator) still nothing
-even tried to restart explorer.exe a high cmd and a task manager high and again made the permissions - still nothing.

The only thing I haven't done is run a sfc scan, but tbh, I doubt that will fix anything. It also seems that VSS has been turned off for a while, as my last restore point was about 3 months ago and I installed things since.

Any suggestions/ideas would be appreciated, because I'm going nuts with that now! Thank you!

The Volume Shadow Copy Service must not be on auto-start.

According to the site TechNet Microsoft VSS THAT was introduced with Windows XP SP1 and since that time it has always installed as manual start since he does not need to be started automatically and it works day and night to do nothing.  Some places say different times when VSS has been introduced, but be sure that it was a long time ago.

A popular site to see how Windows Services should / could be put in place is here:

    http://www.blackviper.com/service-configurations/

If you've read about VSS on Microsoft TechNet, it says:

    https://TechNet.Microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh125927 (v = ws.10) .aspx

So do you think the MS TechNet site is fake and that each installation of Windows since XP has a badly installed VSS Service?  If that were the case all Windows systems in the world would be in trouble.

On an unafflicted system if you open the services applet and observe the VSS Service, it should look like this:

So if you start a backup operation or even create a Restore Point, go back to the Service applet and press F5 to refresh you'll see that the VSS Service changed its status to start:

Once the operation is complete the VSS Service will stop itself (it may take a while).

That's how it is supposed to work.

We should certainly be able to affect the automatic VSS Service and you should be able to start, but you shouldn't need to.  People who say that "solved their problem" forgets to mention the days/weeks to try things that lead to get their system of work.  There is no way of knowing which of the dozens of things that they could have tried really solved the problem.

You say that the system restore worked in Mode safe (but not a normal startup) and if it is true that means usually something to load in a normal trunk causing a problem and that something is usually an antivirus/antimalware application that is 'protect' your system against the changes.  When you start mode safe these things are usually not loaded this is why sometimes your system restore mode without failure.

Contributors known for these programs are Norton, McAfee, Avast, Avira, Kaspersky and probably others.

So what antivirus/antimalware programs you are running and have checked their support pages for known problems with backup/restore system restore?

Norton has even a page about these issues:

    https://support.Norton.com/SP/en/us/home/current/solutions/v51118464_EndUserProfile_en_us

Even McAfee told their product to uninstall completely before doing a system restore:

"Intel Security recommends that you remove McAfee security products before to proceed with an upgrade of the operating system or the Microsoft System Restore and then re-install your McAfee product when the update/restore is complete. "

So I assumed that whatever your AV program happens to be could be part of the issue here - but we don't know what it is.

We know error 5 is a permissions/access denied error type, but you shouldn't make adjustments to get VSS to start if something is wrong.  If as you have tried adjustments have been necessary every Windows system in the world should also make these adjustments and coming is not past.

Of course, now, your system might be more affected since you've been changing permissions on the things trying to VSS to start when there is probably not a problem with VSS in the first place, so who knows what condition are in now.

You could start by uninstalling what your AV software (most manufacturers have a special program for that) and by eliminating third-party applications that are known to interfere.  You can always reinstall them again later, no?

  • Permission of AAA with ACS Shell-games

    Hi all

I use a router cisco 871 running that version 12.4 (11) T advanced IP Services.

I have difficulty getting permission to AAA to work properly with ACS.

I am able to configure ACS fine users and assign them shell and private level 7.

I then install a set of Shell Auth and enter the issuance of orders and configure.

When I log in as a user, I get an exec with a level of 7 priv no problem, but I never seem to be able to

to access global configuration mode by typing in conf (or set up) terminal or t.

If I type con? It is the only command connect, configure is never an option...

The only way I can get this to work is by entering the command:

privilege exec level 7 Configure terminal

I thought the whole purpose of the ACS Shell Set to provide this information to the router?

    It's frustrating

The ACS server is set up with the Shell Set named Level_7 order authorization

It is attributed to the relevant groups and I have the 'Unmatched orders' option selected in the 'license '.

    Hello

    So now,

You're actually using two different options and trying to couple then together. What I would say is you either use authorization Command Shell function or play with level privileges. Not mixed together both.

Above scenario might work, if you move orders to focus on level 6 and give the 7 user privilege level. He couldn't be sure. Try it and share the results.

That's what I suggest that orders back to a normal level.

Provided below are the steps to set up the shell command authorization:

Is this some kind of joke, "allowed"?

Sony has authorized service centers, but they do not accept to repair the devices not sold by them specifically.

What I really have to wait for my next trip to the place where I got on the phone to fix it?

So, what's the point of 'authorized service centers "?

Sorry, but I'm a little upset by the situation and all the 'authorized' rubish

    Thank you for your response.

My phone stopped responding after a while when I plugged in the charger after turning off due to low battery.

No led light when connected to the charger nothing. Love - [https://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/Xperia-Z3-Compact/Sudden-Death-of-Sony-xperia-Z3-Compact/td-p/877345]...

I left the phone for a day, and the next day when I plugged in the charger it started to load. Also, he began to start, but kept at restarting during boot animation process.

So, I flashed the latest version of the software using Flashtool, Androxyde since I use linux and do not have access to a Windows PC.

Now it starts up to the configuration of the process, but restarting once more before I could complete the setting to the top.

That's when I went to the service center authorized, and tried to get help. What they did not even check the problem.

The other day, I found a shop that also serves the phones and they took a glance at my camera.

The technician said it could be a software problem and in any case, they will all first make sure before diagnosing the battery (and opening the unit).

They have restored the software and it starts without any problem. Thus, since 2-3 days my phone has worked.

It's a shame that I've been denied service to the AUTHORIZED service center for a simple issue that could have quickly repaired with a software upgrade.

I understand now why Sony was victim when it comes to its mobile division, because they are dealing with horrible service centres when there are other ones that actually try to fix your phone and not force you to buy a new one rather than repair.

If only Sony listen to complaints, even if they might be stupid. But stupid situations like these are where you're losing customers.

When an unauthorized service center is ready to give me the time to listen and to try to fix my phone, while the AUTHORIZED service center does not even look my camera, it says a lot about society.

    Thank you for your time
