    Hi all

I found this on the discussion Forum and it worked!

Thank you John Ablordeppey of Ghana, West Africa, and Markus_M

Suggestion of John fixed the error on my JO 8620, too.

I was able to do it without removing the left cover.

Just open the cartridge door, have a flashlight and check all visible cables, pressing them firmly into the connectors.

  • Defective C4280 paper jam message

    tHEHello

My printer has only 3 months, not often used again. Now, I get the message "paper jam". I contacted HP and completed the 7 steps by following the instructions, yet it wont print and the message is always the same.

A ridiculous this question, but where is the OK button, at one point he said press the OK button, but I can't find one on the printer?

Not many problems are solved on this forum that I noticed, but heres hoping someone will answer and help me.

Thanks to all those who respond.

I just tried once again afetr the wiping roller bars, the message of paper jam has disappeared but it usually always print, I can hear it going through the motions, but he stops, displays nothing then dies.

This could be something to do with Active X if I remember to send a message to this topic, I installed it it was the wrong thing to do?

Sorry if this sounds stupid all you brain boxes but keep in mind I'm OLD, please.

    Hiya Dexter

    Finally - a result!

I rang HP and they went through all 7 procedures to correct the problem, the last message on the printer was paper jam, it's then the guy said that it would replace my printer and it would be delivered on Friday and UPS would collect the old one without cost to me. !

If it had not been for your advice, I don't know I would have been fobbed off by helpdesk UK and would probably buy a new one.

So, many thanks to you for helping an old lady.

    Hello, @ghlowell,

Thank you for the update. You can get the serial number of the printer using the HP utility on your computer. You must have the printer software installed to get the same thing.

Try the following steps to get the serial number.

    • Go to 'Finder' - select 'Applications' - folder Select "HP" or "Hewlett Packard".
    • Now find and open the "HP utility.
    • Click on "device information. Ideally, this should give details of the printer including the serial number.

Let me know if this helps. Good luck!

    See you soon

  • HP1212nfMFP: Blocking due to previous paper jam printer

I'm not able to restart my printer after a paper jam.   I made all the corrections and suggestions that I could find on the U-tube and the: various forums of the printer.   As all cleaning rollers, pick up pad, inspecting the inside with a strong light and magnifying glass, inversion and shaking the machine to dislodge any fragment of piece of paper etc.

I also recycled the machine several times without a power supply off and then the cycle.

What is happening is that all the above cleaning procedures.  I try to test print a Setup page...  A sheet of paper feeds and jams full length, just as she enters the pickup roller.  The machine hangs and displays a message that says: to remove a paper jam in the paper path area.

It must be a patch to do this, run completely tear the machine part, which I am tempted to do.  Help!

Thanks for your help what they call, but he did waste two hours of my time to discover that 1) HP has no interest to my problem unless the printer is under warranty.  Which they say, until you've dug product codes and serial numbers by standing on the head with a flashlight in hand.  Two 2) database of the problem is completely silent on this issue.  It's amazing given the trivialization of jam printer problems.  There must be a way to disable the short code locking of tearing the printer totally collapse.    Overall, I think thqt I'll never buy an HP product, new given the support of shit that does not exist.  Next, lift the printer on the cliff to the rocks

  • Designjet z6100: z6100 paper jam

Have a friend with a Z6100.  Said he was printing something and transport just stopped.  Indicates a paper jam error and a 86:01 error.  He said that it is certain that without paper in the paper path but cannot get the error to clear.  He jumped on the paper path.

I've never seen the machine so I'll try help diagnose from across the city.  86:01 said that it is an axis of analysis too short.  But manual says also can be a problem with encoder or transport servo problem.  Will probably go and do a diagnostic test, but I was wondering if anyone had a paper jam error code they could not erase.

    Thanks Mike.

Ran enjoyed and looked at this area and it turns out that the belt has shredded and stuck in the pulley.  I managed to get it unlock and the wagon moved freely so was able to restart and paper jam disappeared.  But the stuck belt again so looks like we'll replace belt.

Thanks again for the quick response!

  • 1102w paper jam

The printer paper gets about 4 inches in and then blocks. I did roll to hard reset, cleaned, etc. anything. It doesn't seem to be a reason I can find would jam. I am out of warranty and have had no problems so far.

    * SOLVED *.

    I had the same problem.

My HP1102W after printing about 10 pages has been stop and say there is a paper jam (but the book was not stuck!).

I have tried almost everything, update firmware, hard reset, reinstalled the drivers, cleaned the jams of transport.

THEN I CHANGED THE TONER AND THE PROBLEM WAS SOLVED!

HP support site doesn't say anywhere this problem may be caused by defective toner.

No apparent reason, suddenly blocking every time. Each sheet as jams is folded at the two main corners to meet the center top, like broad arrowhead. • Printer stopped working after I removed a paper jam - Deskjet 6988

I removed a paper jam today, according to the instructions. But since I did it, it will not be printed. The power light is, as if it's OK, but he absolutely refuses to print.

My printer is a HP Deskjet 6988 and I am on Windows 7, 64 bit.

Whenever I try to print, the print queue displays the print job for about a second, then he faints. I try to print again, it disappears. Then, if I do it a third time, it appears in the list and stays there, but the printer does nothing.

After two minutes the queue no longer mentions it as the "impression". Instead, it says, "error printing". I try to delete the print job, but it just sits there, saying "error printing". It will not erase. The only way to remove it is by the printer stop or restart the computer.

If I try to print after that stuff all over again.

I tried closing the printer and reboot, restart the computer, power cycling (stopping the printer, unplug the cables, waiting..., plug again and restart).  I ran the Diagnostic Utility and it tells me that it works very well - well, very good for a very large paperweight.  I used troubleshooting via the Control Panel, and he said: "a print job in the print queue prevents other printing of print." But as I have already said, delete the print job does not solve the problem.  I am stuck in a loop of the removal of print jobs and nothing works.

    Help, please!

    Hey Tigger,

It may have been stuck in the diagnostic mode - not able to move forward or backward for a time very long.

Next time, if this never happens again, you can try a Reset of the printer:

Here are two types of reset the base printer:

    (1) if there is a keyboard, turn it off, then on and press on # and 6 (press and hold while turning on the printer).

    (2) without a keyboard?  So unplug that LEAVE unplugged for 30 seconds to a minute.  Reconnect it.  (Be careful with this one - will not shock).

It can become a little more complicated than that, but a basic reset sometimes "will have the printer attention" if it's just "spinning" and nothing else will not physically.

    I'm glad it works again.

Maybe printers receive loners.   The smile.

  • OfficeJet 8500 document feeder paper jam

I have a paper jam in tray my 8500. I can open the scanner, but I can't understand how to access the mechanism for rolls below. In the (p. 187-188) owner's manual, it shows a picture how to do that, but it looks bad - it shows the cover disconnected the ADF mechanism, but I see no way to that.  Any ideas?

    Thank you!!
