Airport Extreme 7,7,7 drop connection and internet high speed

My Airport Extreme (6th generation) have had the serious problems of the internet, as said in the title I had problems with my internet connection, I checked if that was the problem of the modem to the beginning (D3.0 Ubee) which was provided by my Internet, Charter provider.

I've had Airport Extreme for almost a year to 2 years now and since then, I had no problem with my internet until 7.7.7 update came.

I updated my firmware and this is where my random internet connection problem started.

My current contract with the Charter are their 60 Mbps (download speed) and 4 Mbps (download speed), during the first days since I've updated 7.7.7 connections was fine and then my internet has started to decline since a means 50-60 Mbps (download speed) to 0.1 - 2 mb/s (download speed), my download speed has remained a constant 3-4 MB/s (download speed). I have tried and used Opendns several times, he really did nothing.

I tried to turn off both modem and Airport extreme for a couple of minutes and turn on their return, but he does nothing and just refers to an extremely slow speed.

My question is what could I do to fix this problem if the decommissioning of my extreme (I need instructions with this too), change some settings, get rid of the * thing and get a new router, or am I stuck resetting to the parameter by default whenever she acts upward.

Unfortunately, the first question that you encountered is the AirPort for Windows utility has not been updated since Windows 7. In addition, it is not supported for use with the 802.11ac latest versions of airport base stations.     Recently, I am facing a problem of unstable wifi, slow speed of the internet of my macbook pro. I hope someone could help me with my problem.


    Symptom:

    Internet mainly speed just unstable using a wifi connection. (no problem with wifi connection self and my wifi suddenly grave would not be)

    Turn off my wifi and connect my macbook pro with modem & router with cable, internet high speed is stable and fast. Internet speed download speed test result display is of around 60Mbps, download speed is around 8Mbps. And I tried streaming using the connection cable, there was no buffering.

    I already tried the possible Solutions:

    • Restart the Macbook pro and restart Modem & router: will not work. I mean the internet will be very well at first, but later would be unstable again.
    • Reset Wireless Modem & router and change channels: useful, but not completely solve the problem. After you change the wireless channel, I tested my internet speed and the result showing 20-40Mbps (slower than 60mbps) speed download. Sometimes, the result will be like 6-8Mbps and sometimes it will be 60Mbps. If its unstable.
    • Wireless diagnosis: result indicates connection is good.
    • Called my ISP provider: they checked and said all right.


    Other Questions & details:

    • The internet is ok for most of the time. But when all of a sudden I can't open site or I can't download and streaming & FaceTime at normal speed, his frustration.
    • I thought it might be related to my hardware since its an old macbook pro. I can't run Apple hardware test because I don't have the installation disc more and my macbook pro is very old. Is it a third party software that can perform the test hardware on mac?

    I think I bought the latest version of Airport Extreme.  It is the unit which is rectangular, is about 6 to 7 w., etc.  I have some basic questions that I do not understand:

    1. How will I know if I have the latest firmware for this device?  I read a few posts that make it sound as if it was just automatically updates.  Is this true?

    2. can someone tell me how to change the password used to connect to my wireless network?

    If a firmware update is available, AirPort Extreme flashes orange.

    The most up-to-date version of the firmware is 7.7.3.

    You can see what version you currently have the following on your Mac...

    Open Finder > Applications > utilities > AirPort Utility

    Click on the image of the AirPort Extreme

    Look for the Version

    If the new firmware was available, you will see a button update here

    To change the wireless network password...

    Click on edit in the window smaller than you watched just to check the firmware version

    Click on the Wireless tab at the top of the next window

    Go back / change the wireless password and enter a new password

    Do the same thing to check

    Click Update at the bottom right of the window and give the airport a minute full for restart

    No.... but any device connected to the Terminal AirPort Express will have a maximum speed of 100 Mbps. So, if you connect a 1 000 compatible device to the Ethernet port on the Express, it would appear as a device of 100 Mbps on the network as the Express is limiting speeds.

    So, if you want a device that is capable of 1 000 Mbit/s to have 1 000 Mbit/s speed on your network, it will have to connect to AirPort Extreme or time Capsule.

    I tried to redo the reboot: unplug the unit, hold down the reset button, then while holding down the reset button, add power on and continue now stuck until it flashes yellow... But curiously, after it flashes it goes straight to the green... (never asking me to airport utility to add a password)

    My Wifi speed stink...

    What continues with this device... anyone have recommendations?

    I already proved the cable line and the modem (with the support of motorola)...

    Most likely you have a faulty AirPort Extreme. Please ask Apple to replace this unit for you.

    If you wish to renew a reset, follow the instructions very carefully:

    Turning off AirPort Extreme

    Wait 7 - 8 seconds

    Hold the first reset button... and hold in an additional 7 to 8 seconds while simultaneously you reconnect the power on the AirPort Extreme.

    Release the reset button to zero after the period of detention

    Allow a minute for the AirPort Extreme restart. The light will be Orange fixed for 15-20 seconds about, then turn to flashing orange slowly after about 30 seconds

    A slow amber flashing light... about once per second... confirms that the airport has been reset and you can set it up again.

    I extend an existing AirPort Extreme of 5th generation (a year or so old) with a new one. When I connect a new one for the network and power, airport utility sees the two airports and asks me if I want to extend the existing one. I clicked on extend and every thing seems to be well - within the parameters, he said that the new airport will extend the existing wireless network. Unfortunately this seemed to cause my modem to lose its connection to the Internet. I have reset the modem a few times, but it wasn't until I disconnected and "forgot" to the new base station that I was able to retrieve internet. I would really like to have just a single network for both airports.  Is this possible or do I. To keep them separate?

    If you spread by wireless, you can't have the extreme new plugged in by ethernet.

    If you do not want to extend wired you don't use wireless extension... you use create a wireless network with the same SSID (name Apple Wireless speaks) and the same password.

    What is the brand and model of the main modem?

    Is this also a router? How the most extreme main airport is connected to the network?

    Please take a few screenshots of the existing configuration using airport utility to show how the current airport is the installation program. We can then tell you the right way to connect the new airport.

    Just to be clear is the New Extreme a nine Gen6... or you want to say you have an another Gen5. The Gen6 is now more than 3 years on the market... No gen5 were therefore sold for 3 years.

    My portable computer product number HP15-g019wm F9H60UA #ABA has been suspended on the black welcome screen after logging about two minutes before opening on the desktop. My mozilla firefox is slow to open and does not connect to any websites other than the home page. It is upgraded to the latest version, when I first tried to open it and then it opens slowly. Google chrome opens quickly but then freezes when I try to go to another site. My computer is running windows 64 bit system 8.1. Anyone know what could be causing the issues off the phone and internet on my laptop? I was able to connect and browse the internet very well last night, and these problems just started to happen this afternoon. Any help would be appreciated.

    We recently bought a new Portage Z30-A-13W and Hi-Speed Port Replicator III.
    Setting network and graphics work correctly with port replicator, but the USB ports don't work at all.

    I tried the port replicator USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 and I can't seem to work with a keyboard, mouse, USB key or a mobile phone.

    In the case of mobile phones, it is also no output power of the ports that the mobile does not start to load.

    As far as I know additional drivers are not really needed to use the USB ports.
    This is why I m wondering why don t USB ports work.

    It might be possible that ports high speed Port Replicator III USB are faulty, but to be honest, I can't imagine that all 6 USB ports may bad work at the same time.

    So maybe it s a software problem.
    First of all, I would recommend the default BIOS and check the USB legacy support for keyboard and mouse could be activated.
    After access to the Device Manager and remove / delete the USB hubs and controllers in the list of devices.

    Keep high speed Port Replicator III connected to the computer and restart the device.
    Usually, the system should recognize automatically deleted USB ports and must update the drivers of USB ports.

    I hope that the USB ports don't work after this short workaround solution.

  • Slow, Internet high speed, if I connect to my desktop via router WRVS4400N PC

    I bought a Cisco WRVS4400N. Which is highly recommended by my friend IT. In my office, I have a local telecommunications fiber-optic connection, which is 100 Mbps download and upload 40Mbps.

    If I connect to the Internet taken directly into the computer, it flyes to 100 Mbps when I test on speedtest.net. When I connect to internet with the Cisco router and therefore farther from router on my desktop, it slows down to 25Mbps. I think there should be some sort of restriction inside the modem configuration. I don't know how to overcome it. Perhaps someone knows how to remove all the distracting security and other setings from inside my Cisco have the full flow of the internet.

    I like the new ability to a background process, but I would like to know what background processes are underway and how long they have been broadcast.

    I recently had problems with connections dropped with our databases because of a recent. The problem is associated with the network not DB related exactly, but it would be nice not to have to manually disconnect and reconnect again. When we get the error - the connection has been lost or not connected, for me, it would be logical to be reconnect automatically or "Refresh" the connection via a button. I know it's a pending issue in sqldeveloper, but I can't believe it's so hard for developers to add this feature. It's happened to all that, take 30 minutes, coding for this problem? Thank you.

    To see what background processes are running you will need to use the progression of tasks pane (view > the task progress)-this will show in the progression of tasks as well as those who filled by mistake (I think it's he who filled watch tasks - it shows certainly tempted with errors of syntax of queries).

  • WNDR3700v2 dropped connection and other issues

    So a few days so that I was playing a game on my desktop connected via the ethernet cable disconnected from the internet and I got a metered connection. I noticed that the green light blinking on the modem was green and not flashing and even with the router so I turned my computer off and unplug the modem and the router, and 10 minutes later tried to connect the modem and it is not at all connect up to 30 minutes later. Then today, while using the computer my modem was fine but the active router orange power light and the activity of solid turned orange flashing light but the others were green and after a few minutes limited connection it started working again.

    At the moment I went into the settings on the router and I got a weird message say im signed another device which is impossible because I only have access to the settings on this computer. I immediately changed my password router and wifi password. He had nothing in the logs at all. I have the latest firmware and have UPNP turns off and wide and remote router PIN is disabled. I know that my computer does not have a virus because I just got 5 months ago and I use it only for my mmorpg games and not surfing the web, I use my phone for this. Also I leave only 1 devices to connect to the router at a time to prevent the spread of a virus, if one of them has been infected. My computer and drivers are up-to-date and secure, and so is the router. I tried to replace the modem and the surge protector and that did not help. Strangely enough, it is just started recently and I did not move my modem or router for about a year, so I can't imagine his interference.

    Try to reflash the firmware on the router, reset and reconfigure.

    When you reconfigure, replace all the settings to a different SSID wireless and use a wifi password stronger as well as the connection to the router password.

    Observe your connection.
