• OfficeJet 6500: Fax appears not when you add the printer with El Capitan

  I've just upgraded to El Capitan.  I have a 6500 Officejet and Officejet 6700 on the network and that you can print on both but fax is not working.

  I tried to delete faxes from the Printers & Scanners window in the settings, but when I try to add more once they are not appearing in the list.  When I click on add everything I see is the following:

  

  It should be an option fax for two (well I want that the created such as 6700 6500 is not connected to a phone line).  Anything I can try to get the Fax option to appear so that I can set up the Fax network (the printer is in a different area of the building so my work around printing and then manually fax is a pain - unfortunately, one of our main suppliers insists on faxes and will not accept orders by email if I need this to work!)

  By the way I tried selecting the 6500 in the list and then change the print to fax driver driver in the area of USE, but the printer is not sending it by fax - print only a few pages of garbage.

  Any help would be great because I find it very frustrating.  Also, I have another Mac with Yosomite on which has the same problem, so I don't think it's specific to El Capitan (but mine was working when I got Yosomite, but I installed the printer/fax under an earlier version originally).

  Try to update the software by following these steps:

  First of all make sure that the printer is turned on and connected to your Mac or on the same network.

  Click on the Apple icon, then select about this Mac.
  Click software update, and then click the Store from the top of the indicated window menu and click on reload the Page.

  Be sure to install any update HP or Apple, then check for the difference.

  If it persists, try manually install the package below:
  http://support.Apple.com/kb/dl907

  Search for now no difference.

  Note that it may take up to a minute for the Fax queue to appear.

  I have a phone that has an included answering machine. My connections with the phone jack, phone and printer are all properly connected and voice calls and faxes are basically works well.  My problem is when I have the off Auto answer and I receive a call, the answering machine get it if they want to leave a message, but if they press send at the end of a FAX, it won't in fax mode.  I have to be present and manual press FAX on my end.  If I put it on Auto answer, then when the phone rings and he answers it automatically in FAX mode, regardless if it is a fax or voice call. The rings before answer is 4, but I also tried with 2.

  How can I configure it so that I can do both... which means that when a call comes in, it can get picked up by the answering machine if they want to leave a message or if they want to send a FAX, press they SEND to their end and it passes the FAX on my end.  I used to have like that with my other all in one printer so I know its possible... at least with another HP model.   Thank you in advance.

  Try all the 'rings to answer' on the fax machine to 6. You must set the 'rings to answer' on the bigger than the 'rings to answer' fax on the answering machine the answering machine have a chance to pick first, and if it is a fax tone, the fax is then pick up.

  I just bought this printer Office Jet Pro 6978, All In One Printer.  It won't let me download the driver listed in the steps to implement, it fails every time.  I tried to use the CD that came with it, it gave me a message "this computer's operating system is not supported."   So this printer will not work on my 64-bit?  Or elsewhere?  My computer is a HP.  Where can I find a download driver for this printer for my operating system?  When it prints, it prints a nonsense.  % beginprolog % beginresource: file and so on with such things.  I am at a loss... Any help would be great.

• All-in-one Officejet 6700 Premium does not work when a cartridge is empty

  On my officejet 6700 Premium, I have had trouble since the magenta cartridge was missing.  I'm unable to print even if you select using black only, it appears on the screen that gives me the choice to order or cancel, it gives also this pop up if I try to scan documents to save to my computer and even trying to fax.

  I am currently using Windows 7 Ultimate service pack 1

  I am at a loss on it and a plan to buy a cartridge, but in the meantime all that I need is to use black and also to scan documents.  Is there a way around this issue?

  I'm sorry that you are experiencing this issue.

  You will not be able to print WITHOUT this magenta cartridge. Some printers (older models) can print certain colors without another cartridge in the printer. The reason why it is not printing because this magenta blends in with all the other cartridges to perform a true black.

  So if it was another cartridge, it would give you the same error message and do not print.

  first of all, sorry for my bad English; I'm Italian and the Italian Forum, I can't find anything that can help with my problem.

  I use my old (and wise... ;-)) OfficeJet J5780 on my laptop with MS Windows 7 SP1 64 bit for years without any problem. In particular, I use the option to manually print on both sides; This means that, once selected this option, the printer automatically prints odd pages in reverse order, and then a pop up tell me to take the papers printed, rotate and load them again; then I click OK and print even pages in the right orders.

  Suddenly after any event special, for a few months, or even I select this option, the printer prints the odd pages and then nothing happens on my pc, no pop-up window appears, the printing process remains in the coil and I can not the printer to print even pages too. The only way is to remove the process, clean the spooler and restart it.

  I also installed the latest version of the drivers and all of the full package of the HP software, but the problem is still there.

  As a solution, I apply manually print the odd pages in reverse order first, then same pages, but it's really a mess...

  Could someone help me?

  If this is the case then itreally could be drivers.

  You can follow this link to completely uninstall the old software and then use this tool to automatically install the correct software for your computer.

• I have a G510n all-in-one Officejet wireless that does not print in Cyan.

  The cartridges are full, I cleaned the printheads several times, made all the diagnostic tests, restarted the computer, reinstalled the software and drivers.  I can't align the print heads because the scanner cannot see blue lines due to their not printing not.  The printer is out of warranty, so I need to know if I need to trash or is there another solution for this problem.  Following a forum, the person said it was chip problem, but did not specify how they fixed it.  Coult it will be the same question?  Any suggestions would be extremely useful.

  Printer all-in-one OfficeJet J6400 jammed all preparing to scan from the glass. I turned off the printer, but the scanning light remained on. Now he's stuck: when I unplug it and plug it back light scanning back the LCD screen does not light, but the printer does not turn on.

  I have a HP5610 all-in-one officejet via USB connected to my computer windows 10 laptop. Printing and digitization of works excellent.

  I can send faxes manually from the HP 5610 machine, which means I have to print documents on paper and that put the document in the HP fax machine.

  Is there a utility that I can use to fax documents directly from my PC using the machine HP 5610 fax modem?

  I found a Microsoft "Windows Microsoft Fax Scan" utility. This tool needs a separate fax modem. I can't find a way to specify this tool in use moden fax unit HP 5610.

  Anyone have a solution for me?

  I see you are trying to fax from your PC in 10 Windows with printer all-in-one Officejet 5610. I can help you with that.

  You should be able to fax if you download and install the latest drivers. You can find the drivers by clicking on this link.

  When you want to fax you must start by opening to the top of the print window, as if you were going to print. When you do, you should see a printer or a file to print with the printer name and (Fax) at the end. If you select that and try to print, you should see your fax options appears.

• OfficeJet 4315v: all-in-one Officejet 4315v Telec impossible. Dials ok but receives always a 'no response '.

  Office Jet 4315v won't send fax. Dials ok and you can hear the ring of fax receipt machine but after a number of rings, a leaf print and says 'no response '. The fax Mach I am trying to fax in functioning.  The Officejet 4315v worked flawlessly in XP, but has not worked since buying a new HP desktop with windows 7 64 bit. The 'new' on the HP website driver doesn't help.

  I noticed that there is the same question on the forumn since 2009. either HP didn't and answer or that they no longer support this equipment.

  Thanks for posting on the HP Forums!

  I should be able to provide a few suggestions that may fix the problem.  You mentioned that the problem started after installing the printer to your computer running Windows 7.  Do you send the fax through the computer jobs, or you use the front panel of the printer to send?

  If you put the paper in the fax machine and dial the number and send the document by the front of the printer software should not affect the functionality of fax.  Software will be just the effect of fax if you have the document on the computer as a digital copy and go to file > print and select the fax as the destination.

  The first thing I would suggest is to stand alone on the Officejet 4315v fax test to see that everything goes or if something breaks down.

  To run a test fax:

  1. Press the printer setup button
  2. Use the left or right arrows to access the tools
  3. Press OK on the tools
  4. Use the left or right arrows to navigate to run the Fax Test
  5. Press OK to Run Fax Test
  6. A fax report should printer

  Another thing to try is send a fax to the fax HP Server.  It would be a good idea to try to fax to another number, just to check. HP fax number is 1-888-473-2963.  There is no charge for the number of fax HP.  If the fax is accepted Fax HP Server will automatically send a fax to prove the sending and receiving.  If the fax is successful and the fax test passes, then the problem may be with the other fax line.

  My HP Officejet J4680 all-in-one ink jet printer will not print in Word 2010 documents. It will print .pdf and Excel 2010 documents. I ran printing HP and doctor Scan and check it and put to date and said all is fine. Just around checking on my computer it said in the devices that the printer is ok. I printed the test from the doctor of Hp Plug and it came out ok. Seems so that Word documents are the only problem. I installed Windows 10 earlier so not totally sure that's the problem I don't remember if I used the word since installation up to now.

  I bought this printer in 2010 and have had no problems with it and I can tell you that I have printed a large NUMBER of pages.

  Any ideas how to get this printer working?
