AMD-FX6100 run a bit hot in HP pavilion h8m

Hello

My 6 h8-1100 processor runs hot when using lazy and a little warmer when slight to moderate. I can feel it just in case of feeling where the processor. I opened the case and the fan seems to barely work. Today I underclocked to 3 GHz to 3.3. but did not help much.

I'm ready to buy a new CPU cooler and fan, but this old computer a month ago, when I received it 06/01/12.

Or can HP help me with this problem for free?

Thank you

Download and run CoreTemp.
After the time that you get.

As long as temperatures are below 60 degrees C for normal use, life is good. The max temp is 70 degrees C (from the AMD card)

  • Machines which can run 64-bit images?

I'm sure you've seen this question so many times in the forum alone so I'm sorry if I'm repeating old son.

Soon, my company will need to run 64 bit on their vmworkstation images 7 However, I understand that not all machines can run 64-bit images without worrying if they are 64-bit.  I have run the verification tool 64-bit on computers in my company and a list that may or may not run 64-bit images.

It turns out that we may have to replace some of our machines because they cannot run 64-bit (including my own) images.

My question is, what I look for when choosing new machines?  They say generally if it can run 64-bit images or not.

    Thanks in advance

    Marc

Any AMD 64-bit processor that you can buy at retail today can run the 64-bit clients.  Intel 64-bit processors also require VT - x.  See KB 1003945.

It's as if there is some sort of effect of Flikr between the office and the images, as well as between the images and the browser (a bit like old flikering of 16-bit video games). It's not too bad, but it's a question. I tried to reset firefox and restart the computer. I have not tried a repair, and I haven't done an uninstall.

    Hello

I agree with the user above. According to your VPN software it will maybe work on 64 bit OS because it s also able to handle 32-bit programs normally

In your case I would try to install the software and then you can give us feedback: how it works. It would be interesting, and I think for other users. :)

    Hello

Windows Vista does not include a 16-bit subsystem. You will not be able to run 16-bit applications on Windows Vista directly.

You can check if the program works in Windows XP compatibility mode.

Make older programs in this version of Windows

If you use Windows Vista business, Windows Vista Enterprise or Windows Vista Edition integral, you can try to install Virtual PC and then you can install Windows XP on your virtual PC to run 16-bit applications.

You can download Virtual PC for Vista from the link below:

How can I run 64-bit dxdiag?  I tried opening dxdiag & clicking on the 'Run 64-bit DxDiag' button on the bottom, but it doesn't close the window.  What I am doing wrong?

    Hello

    Method 1.
When you click on run 64-bit DxDiag it minimizes the window. But it performs the test and you can click next page to view the errors.
If the page closes directly can be a third-party application is causing the conflict. Let us check if the problem exists in the boot. See the article below for instructions on how to start your computer in a clean boot state.

    QUESTION:

I had no sound * on the 'go get' speakers (that is, from the cooktop for the first time). I say no sound with an asterisk (*) because it makes noise, just everytime he tries to make the sound he is supposed to make ends up looking like a noise low echo a little sound for a movie like "Friday the 13th" when Jason is lurking in the Woods (i.e., cheh-Shh-Shh-Shh... kah-ka-ka-ka). At no point has the appropriate sound has played from the speakers (start, stop and everything in between)... it was either the noise low echo or a sequence of tick-tick-tick sounds.

    TRIED SO FAR:

So far, I tried to solve problems by using the information below:

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c03257712

I tried each of the 'steps', but none of them are able to solve the problem. I should mention that it runs that diagnostic stuff are not errors... it seems to "think" the speakers work as it should.

I've seen many "solutions" here who describe the new drivers download (even though when I clicked on the audio driver update, it said it was updated). It makes sense, why one would need to do if the computer came originally pre-loaded with Windows 7 and the new OS W8 won't play nice with all the drivers existing, but I guess for me it is not make sense why a brand new computer which has Windows 8 pre-loaded would be defective right out of the box like that. Quality control does not check if the speakers correctly? Or could it just be a flaw introduced somewhere in the process of packing/shipping-related?

I would phone HP and request repair under warranty. Select your country here for the info page > Contact HP Envy The series has a separate section on the page of phone numbers.
