ANOTHER CUSTOMER WHOSE PRINTER IS NOT WORKING__HP 6520 NEW BLACK HPPHOTOSMART PRINTER

Hello, I have a printer HP Photosmart 6520, who takes the 564 ink.

Last I replaced all the cartridges for my printer. I bought the new ink and the printer recognize new cartridges were inserted.   Ink levels showed that they were all full... .new ink in the printer but when went to print something, the black does not print. He spits just blank pages.  After 4 print alignments and quality diagnostics I went to Staples... (and YES, AMAZING customer service)... they replaced the cartridge 564XL thinking that maybe the question... that their cartrdige qwas defective... apparently it was not.     I came home, replaced it again, tried to print, done 4 diagnistics more print quality and black still does not work.  I have ran the printer status reports, print quality, aligned the printer reports and clean the print head... and watched videos and went through all the steps several times...  I've used a decent amount of my color cartridges trying to fix this... Please advise... Thank you.

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! I see that you are facing some print quality problems on your HP Photosmart 6520, you cannot print in black ink.

I see that you have performed the steps listed here: printer does not print black ink or color of ink or prints blank Pages, without success.

I suspect that the issue may be the printer and not the cartridge.     You can also contact the place you bought the cartridge to see if they will swap out for another cartridge for you. However, it depends on the stores return policy if they accept the cartridge back or not. This option, you can try everything first because it would be quicker for you to get a replacement cartridge locally. If the store does not replace the cartridge for you, call the HP Technical Support I've provided to process a replacement under the warranty of the cartridge. Just make sure that you have the cartridge faulty with you when you call our support number.

  • Photosmart 6520 does not print the new black ink cartridge

    My new black ink no longer works on the printer.  This seems to be a problem throughout all of the printers HP no matter what model.  Did someone with similar problems had success getting their black to print despite all recommendations of manufacturing without success?  I have my printer just over a year.  I think it's ridiculous that a product falls down that quickly for money which is devoted to this topic.  I called HP for technical support and after doing all the things, he recommended that he told me that my printer is broken... is no longer under warranty... but he will sell me gladly one handed to nine for more than the cost I would pay if I bought it new from Amazon.  I trust is no longer the product... Why would I want one handed to nine?  Just looking for more tips out there who may have worked for others, before going out and buying an Epson.

    Had same problem, went out and bought new cartridges ink and all but worked black, what to do, throw it in the trash? or have a go at fixing, because I had just spent more than $90 on new cartridges, I thought I'd be there is attachment.

    To cut a long story short, that I managed to detach, scratching the dining room in the process, wife not impressed! puledl the ink outside, white liquor dispenser put spray gave him a good squirt, put back together, it now works like a new! Yay! Geez I'm so smart.

    Exchanged a defective HP Officejet Pro 6835 at Costco. I kept the old cartridges and Costco pulled the new printer cartridges and kept them. During the installation of the printer does not recognize the used cartridges. Error message received to use cartridges supplied with the printer configuration. Did not have them. Is gone to town & bought new HP cartridges and install. The printer took over in the same place on the installer. It does not recognize the new cartridges. What can I do? I can't start the installation program. I remove the new cartridges and reinstall them using and get the same message again. She can't get to work, so I'll have to make another 90 mile round trip to Costco to replace this printer.  Any suggestions?

    You will need to install cartridges for initial configuration, Costco shouldn't have removed the cartridges setup.  You can contact HP, they could send replacement cartridges setup or they may suggest that you only contact Costco.

    From a post of Sunshyn2005, contact technical support HP see the following link to create yourself a file number, then call and it can help to expedite the appeal process:

    Step 1. Open the link: www.hp.com/contacthp/
    Step 2. Enter the product number or select Auto detection
    Step 3. Scroll up to "still need help? Fill out the form to select your contact options.
    Step 4. Scroll down and click on: contact HP options - click Get phone number

    File number and phone number appear, this allows to contact HP.

    Thank you for your message.  To clarify, you are able to print out your design program?  You can try to perform a clean boot and printing of your design program.  A clean boot will start your computer without any 3rd party applications, you can then start your design software and test the printing functionality.  If you are able to print, the problem may be caused by another application of part 3.  Click HERE for instructions to boot.

    I get a message after my computer starts "the component you are trying to use is on a CD-ROM or another removable disk that is not available. Insert the 'TrayApp' disk then I have another box that says please wait while the window configures TraApp. They're going away the screen, I'm sure it's something on my beginning of preety menu up which should be removed, but don't know what it is. Please can someone help?

    2. don't you make changes to the computer before the issue occur?

    TrayApp disk is a HP printing software, I suggest you perform clean boot and remove the program that is causing the problem.

    Try printing on paper 3 3/4 "X 6 3/4" (95 x 172 mm). 98% of my attempts, the book is not picked up or jams immediately. All attempts to set the guides and performance white paper, the same results. Appreciated recommendations.

    You can try the No. 6 3/4 envelope size and check if this can work, it seems to be close enough to the mentioned size

  • new black cartridge does not print

    I just installed a new black cartrdige of ink in my printer HP 6520.  It will not be printed.  I tried soaking of the thought of the cartridge it may be clogged.  That did not help

    This printer has been replaced once already because it has not previously.  Is there something else to try?

    The message here is a troubleshooting document links for the Photosmart 6520.  If steps it do not solve the problem, Please contact the HP Support, even if the printer is no longer under warranty.   If the foregoing is not satisfactory results so thanks for posting here.

  • HP Photosmart Premium Fax all-in-One Printer-C309a-new black ink cartridge will not print

    I just installed a new black cartridge (made by HP) what print quality became poor in the middle of a job.  He completed the job just fine, but when I tried to print later, the parts of the document that are in color/black and white will be printed.  Black is simply absent from the document.  the level of supply shows as thin and all the diagnostics indicate that there is no probem.  I have not received the error messages.  I tried to turn the printer power switch.  I tried to clean the print heads.  I tried to uninstall & reinstall the cartridge.  I do not have the black cartridges extra to try to see if that does not solve the problem, but as stated above, it worked at first.  I have just printed on ordinary regular white printer paper.  I tried all the relevant measures in the troubleshooting document of poor mailed print quality HP elsewhere on this page.  nothing worked!  another post mentioned someone resetting the printer, but did not say how it was done.  any ideas on a solution? Thank you!

    To reset the printer, follow these steps:

    While the unit is turned on, remove the power cord at the back of the printer. Wait at least 30 seconds, then plug the power cord to the back of the printer, then turn on the device. That will complement a power reset.

    Now, lack of black printing can be the result of a number of things. If it's only missing say when printing from Word, then print settings in Word are set to grayscale only (or something similar) which would exclude the black cartridge. If all programs, so it's either the main print in grayscale settings only the value or the cartridge/print head is blocked to the top/Sales. If this isn't the print settings, then create a report of print quality and follow the steps described in this document:

    I'm sorry that you're having this problem, but the printer will NOT work without the color cartridges.

    Even if you chose to print in B & W, the printer still need to use each cartridge colors to mix with black to make a true black color.

    If you put in the color cartridges before printing.

    Then install a unique program for the web camera and check if it works.
