Audio HDMI only

I got a new Dell Studio laptop. It has an HDMI output, which does not recognize that it is plugged into an Ampliphier. I guess it'll work out fine when it is plugged into a TV, but I need only the audio to work. I went to my sound settings and it says device not connected hdmi (but it is). Help, please

Note: This works when it is connected to an LCD tv, but I don't have one, still.

Gddiva,

How it works when connected to an LCD, this would exclude Windows problems. By this I assume you have some sort of hardware / cable problem. I would like to follow up with Dell. I could also check and see if the devices HDMI ALL work when plugged into your amplipher.

Thank you

Shawn

  • Media Center Audio HDMI works partially

Under Windows 7 Ultimate on a HP laptop. The HDMI port on the laptop is connected to my HDTV 1080 p. The sound works fine through HDMI when I navigate the menus. All sounds click and selection in Media Center out of the TV and they sound wonderful: rich, deep tones. The sound does NOT come through the speakers of the laptop. It clearly comes through the cable HDMI and HDTV.

(Sorry to be so redundant here sounds but I needed to make it clear that HDMI audio through the TV works somehow.)

However, when I play recorded TV or live TV via Media Center, it is without audio at all. When I run the audio Setup Wizard in Media Center, I get the same result. I hear all the button press tones when executing step by step through the wizard, but the actual trial play without audio through the HDTV. I did the audio HDMI by default in Control Panel, but it does not help.

I got exactly the problem you described.  All the sound elements worked perfectly except for the live TV or record tv.  I tried all combinations of options that I could, I finally found this site with a slightly different question, but the settings got my audio work for the tv.
     http://www.gilsmethod.com/how-to-enable-HDMI-audio-using-your-HP-Pavilion-Media-Center-PC
Goto Control Panel / hardware and sound / manage audio devices
Make sure Realtek Digital Output Audio is the only one his device enabled
Update highlight digital audio output, and select Properties
    Then select Supported Formats tab
Deselect formats all encoded; so no encoded formats should be checked in this section (Note: If you do not select a format and then hit test you won't notice any noise is heard during the test)
Make sure that only 48.0 khz is selected in the section of sampling rate
    Apply the settings
Return to the Media center and sound should work for live TV

    Hello:

Here's what you need to do to get the HDMI audio to work...

Download and save, but are not run this graphics Intel W8.1 driver.

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp63501-64000/sp63750.exe

Download and install this free utility for files.  The 2nd file is 64-bit.

    http://www.7-zip.org/

After installing 7 - Zip, right-click on the file of the Intel graphics driver that you downloaded.

Select 7 - Zip from the list of items.

Have 7-zip extract of: and leave it to decompress the file in the file name (sp63750).

After 7-zip created the driver folder, go to the Device Manager and click on the Audio device high definition with the! Select this option.

Click on the driver tab, click on set to update driver.  Select her browse my computer for driver software option and navigate to the driver 7-zip created folder.

Make sure that the include subfolders is selected and the Intel HDMI driver should install.

Then restart the PC, and you should have video and audio plays from the HDMI port output.

    Hello:

Can you go to the "manage audio devices" under the material and audio menu in the control panel and select the integrated sound card?

I'm sure that when you connect an HDMI cable on a device, the sound from the audio chip in the chip audio hdmi, so see if you can change to the edge and then you should have your sound back.

The computer has no idea that the device at the other end of the hdmi cable has no audio capabilities and just assumes he did and think he's doing you a favor by automatically switching the audio chips.

  • Problem with my Acer Aspire 5552-5686 and 5.1 Audio HDMI

Hi all, I recently bought a SONY HT-SS380 Home Theatre, and I tried to connect it to my Acer Aspire 5552-5686 by HDMI port. (I have Windows 7).

My problem is that I have can´t set up the laptop to use more than 2 channels (stereo). I ve been looking around the internet and there seems to be a common problem with this computer, but I can´t understand why or how to fix it.

I ve tried to install the latest Realtek Audio drivers, the Catalyst Control Center, some Audio HDMI of ATI drivers. I Don t know what else to try!

    Any help?

    Thank you very much!

This isn't the audio chipset of this system, which I listed above.

The audio chipset to send the data in 5.1 surround.  The HDMI port would support, if it was sent.

It is not sent in this way, I listed above.

  • No audio HDMI with Windows 7 Ultimate

Since the departure of Vista with Windows 7 Ultimate, I lost audio HDMI.  I can connect video successfully to my Sony KDL46VL150 but will not come out through the home theater system.  It comes via the laptop.  I tried to update the drivers, but clearly, I have not found the right pair.  I tried as well through the website of HP, and Intel.

The audio drivers in the system are now:

Stwrt64.sys IDT High Definition Audio CODEC Version 6.10.6276.0

Intel(r) High Definition Audio HDMI IntcHdmi.sys Version 6.10.0.2056

I suspect that the HDMI driver is not 64-bit.

    Any other suggestions?

Thanks for the tips.  I downloaded the drivers and the saved on the desktop as you suggested.  However, I could not find the graphics driver as you have described.

I also followed the following suggestion I had to re-boot with the HDMI cable connected to the TV and it worked.  I see now that I have 2 identical drivers (Mobile Intel 4 Series Express Chipset Family) loaded in graphics cards.

In any case, the problem is resolved.

    Thank you very much.

  • How to convert video in audio CD only

    video conversion to CD audio__

How to convert video in audio CD only?

My suggestion would be to use Audacity (a free audio editing application) to record the audio.  You can then change the audio stream as you seems to (for example, cut into individual pieces) and export it to a certain formats.
I used it in the past to make an mp3 of the DVD concert album.  It works very well (if there is some time.)

  • When I select multiple video and audio tracks only follow to make a sequence source multicamera, why it does not two sequences multicamera source?

I have eight angles of camera and a single audio file only, that I would do in a multicamera source sequence. When I select these files two source multicamera sequences are created, one with two camera angles and the other with six camera angles. I tried to take these files and create an XML PluralEyes so and make a generic mistake to attempt to import the xml file and the import fails.

can give you some background info, version of pp etc are all files of the same format and the same source or mixed?

You can add clips in the sequence manually multicam as a workaround? Right-click in the tray and choose open in the timeline to have access to it. from there, you can try to add the other two clips and even use if necessary synchronization tool.

  • Laptop HP Pavilion 15 t W0P57AV: Audio HDMI problem

I have a new laptop that I just got ordered directly through the HP site. I plug the HDMI cable and plug the cable on my TV and I get no sound on my TV. I already have a click with the button straight on the volume icon and selected playback devices and there is no device audio high definiion listed. I also have a click right and select Show Disabled/switches and nothing appears.

How is it possible to have a new laptop with no Audio HDMI capabilies? Help, please. I tried to figure this out for days.

    Hello:

See if reinstalling the Intel HD audio driver and restart the PC solves the problem.

The graphic driver install the HDMI audio driver.

This package provides the driver that allows graphics Intel high definition (HD) in the notebook models that are running an operating system supported. If the video output high-definition multimedia interface (HDMI) is supported, this package also installs the HDMI Audio Driver.

  • Publish an audio stream only (HLS)

    Hello

    the documentation says:

"To serve the flow over a cellular network, one of the components must be audio only. For more information, see Overview of HTTP Live Streaming.

To publish an audio stream only, enter the following in the field of Flash Media Encoder stream:

    Livestream%i? ADBE-live-event =liveevent& adbe-audio-stream-name =livestream1_audio_only& adbe-audio-stream-src =livestream1

If the encoder specifies individual applications for each stream channels, use the individual data stream names instead of the variable %i :

    livestream1? ADBE-live-event =liveevent& adbe-audio-stream-name =livestream1_audio_only

    livestream2? ADBE-live-event =liveevent& adbe-audio-stream-name =livestream2_audio_only

    "

    ...

    "

To generate a playlist of variation at the level of the game when you use an audio stream only, specify the audio codec of the audio stream only. Specify the video streams containing audio and video codec and the audio. For more information on the use of the generator of F4M/M3U8 file at the level of the game, see publish and play live several debits broadcasts a HTTP.

    "

Does this mean that by using an encoder OUT (with the AAC plugin) installed I can stream BOTH audio + video AND audio only streams via HLS to iOS client?

If so, how to connect to a stream v + and how to connect audio streams only in iOS? (To be more precise - I would need two m3u8 file, how to create them in the supplied generator)

What about the need to provide multiple flows (for audio), probably 64 is not enough - multiple machines encoder or multiple instances of encoder?

Does this mean that using a GFFE encoder (with the AAC plugin) installed I can stream BOTH audio + video AND audio only streams via HLS to iOS client?

    Yes

If so, how to connect to a stream v + and how to connect audio streams only in iOS? (To be more precise - I would need two m3u8 file, how to create them in the supplied generator)

In this case, ios can play a + v flow using m3u8 url

    http://Server/HLS-live/livepkgr/_definst/LiveEvent/livestream1.m3u8

and audio streams only using m3u8 url

    http://Server/HLS-live/livepkgr/_definst_/LiveEvent/livestream1_audio_only.m3u8

Using Report Builder, you can create a playlist option where you can specify several bitrate has + v flow m3u8 url (you already know) and audio only stream m3u8 url. This tool is just a serialize all of the information you provide to it. It does not flow generate individual m3u8 URL on its own. This variant playlist can be hosted somewhere. When the player asking this playlist variant, it identifies all correspondents m3u8 URL and bitrate. Player will play the url m3u8 than hasbitrate just below its bandwidth of entry.

Probably I could not clearly to your question. Let me know if it helps.

  • Satellite A-L70-12W - HDMI only audio in stereo and 5.1 not send

    Hello

I have a question about my laptop's HDMI output.

When I connect an HDMI cable to my tv and cable toslink from my TV to my receiver, my laptop still sends 2.0 sound to my TV.

The TV I use is the LG 42LV3400-ZA, and he is certified Dolby Digital.

I have there any possibility of a 5.1 signal via this laptop HDMI port?

    Thanks in advance.

HDMI offers digital sound output means that the stereo and 5.1 would be financed.
The question is if you have used an audio source that supports 5.1, and if your playback software has been set to 5.1 too.

There is usually only one place where you can check the audio setup for HDMI output port.
This can be checked in Control Panel of-> sound-> the Read tab

Here you will find the different devices that are available for the audio output.

But as I said above: important are the settings in the software you use for audio playback.
