My Satellite A50 will record on Dvd, but not on a cd. It happens with power calibration error after about 5% of the record.

  • Why my self playing dvd will not be recorded dvd?

I have a saved auto dvd that won't play on windows media player despite me download a shedding of different codecs. I don't know what the record was made in format, it comes from a canon camera recorded to a dvd player/burner. My computer is HP pavilion and it sees the drive as white, any ideas anyone please.

I have experienced and recorded the dvd, as well, the DVD - RW and DVD + R with two freewares and I'm able to play an exceptional video on my computer or DVD player.  Two freewares are available on internet and their software can be downloaded and run your browser on a computer.  The two programs are DVDVideoSoft's "Free Disk Burner" and the other "Convert Video" by X2XSoft.  I use video conversion to convert my video the Audio_TS and Video_TS files and output them both in a directory on your hard drive.  C:/DVDdirectory/Audio_TS and Video_TS/DVDdirectory/C: use of software Free Burner of disc to burn both files on the DVD.  The files to burn must be considered in the as free disc burner: Audio_TS Video_TS, otherwise your DVD will not play on anything!

Free disc burner "finalize" the DVD for you.  The Audio_TS is to render the sounds.  The Video_TS is the image.  Do not be misled by the Audio_TS bend not containing or not list all files!  Your good and ready to burn.

A pointer, however.  You will find your best record burning SPEED on "more SLOW!  You may be using a DVD that can be recorded at 40 x or 48 x or 16 x, or some fast deal, but always choose 4 x or slower.  I check in at 2.4 x and get better results than the faster speeds.  You paid for the DVD, do what you want to do.  Hope you can understand this and happy saving!

    Hello

In my opinion, it is not wonder if something stops working after so long. This path is not easy to say anything because we don t know what did you do with the device (your personal configuration) or applications that you have installed. As far as I know done recording part of the recovery image and only if you install OS again everything should work again.

Otherwise definitely delete Sonic and test the drive with the other burning software.

  • TV recorded serious DVD movie out of sync when played. Syncs OK on PC.

Windows 7, Media center, all current updates.

Has had several tries to find the right combination of options to burn a movie recorded on DVD TV (Power options high performance/sleep off, DVD NTSC, video then play DVD menu options, 16:9), but finally managed to burn a DVD that will play.

    BUT

Its not synchronized with video on DVD.  IS synchronized when played on pc, so nothing wrong with the tuner (Hauppauge WinTV-HVR 950 (Q).  New HP Pavilion Slimline. No 3rd party software installed, burning, although I plan to MediaCoder for some audio projects.

High level of frustration. Open to suggestion.

    Thank you!

    Barbara,

In my own experience, this happens usually when the pace or the video frame rate or fps are smaller on your output video or vice versa (when video images are "fallen" or "added" audio goes out of sync).  I solved this situation by setting the pace on the target, be identical to the source. Check out the cadence on your source (film tv rec) and use that rate for your DVD. I don't know how you can do it because I don't have experiences with DVDs. I did it with flv, mov, mp4 movies only.

  • My windows will not recognize my CD/DVD drive

My computer crashed recently and since then windows will not recognize my CD/DVD drive. My removable disk (e :)) is there, but I was told that windows cannot access the disk.) Also when I try to eject a developed error warning.

    Hello

Step 1: Please do all the same underneath if you did some before as is often total
a process that solves the problem.

Try this - Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double click on the device - driver tab.
Click on update drivers (this will probably do nothing) - RIGHT click ON the drive - uninstall.
RESTART this will refresh the default driver stack. Even if the reader does not appear to continue
    below.

Then, work your way through these - don't forget the drive might be bad, could be a coward
cable or slight corrosion on the contacts (usually for a laptop) and other issues.

Another possibility is that the cables are loose. Remove ALL power, then make sure that the cables in both
ends. Remove and replace, do not just tight. For laptops, you can often clean power and
contacts data with a pencil eraser.

Some DVD players do not use the Windows default drivers so check with the manufacturer of system and
manufacturer of device to see if there is a firmware or drivers for your drive if necessary.

    ===============================

Step 2: You have disc problems as the CD/DVD is actually 4 discs in 1 case (CD & DVD
Burn and CD and DVD read). So it is not unusual for 1 or 2 operational so that other parts
    do it right.

Did you follow the Troubleshooting Guide for the reader who still does not work? There are
the entries in registry that the troubleshooter does not solve and those who "might" be the cause.

Check with your Maker system and a device for the two possible firmware updates and
the correct registry entries for your car.

Here are the keys that I of course are those in question - for the subkeys of the CD/DVD drive
as there will be other subkeys in these keys. Do not forget to ask specific keys involved as well as
    the parameters.

  • HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GH70N will not write to blank DVD discs, but it will read all the OEM and the previous DVD I created.

When I check the properties of the device there is a message that says: Windows does not start a related device driver. To learn more, click on the driver tab, click Driver Details. Go to the driver tab and Driver Details reveal nothing.  When I try to save a blank DVD disc, the disc spins for a while and then I get a message that the disc is not recordable or it is not present in the drive.  I tried to uninstall the drive and let Win 7 reinstall the disc after that I reload.  I also noticed that the player goes to a CD player when I try to record a DVD disc.

I have since fixed the problem by using msconfig, I disabled the iTunes program. This solves the problem completely.  I had read somewhere that iTunes can interfere with optical drives.

    Hi, Frank Keller,.

Glad to know that the problem has been resolved. If you have any questions about Windows in the future, please let us know. We will be happy to help you.

The letter came to my Inbox to eighteen months ago, I must have deleted, I can't find a copy in the trash, letter to legal content inportant. I hope you can help. P.S. I have a donation to Mozilla. Thanks Anthony

It's the Thunderbird support forum. Most of the people here is volunteers devoting their time to help others.

you will have a record of it?

I don't know exactly what you meant when asking this question.
Mozilla is not a provider of e-mail and does not keep any of your messages. If so, you will need to check with your e-mail provider, assuming that you store messages on the server in the first place.
The most likely scenario is that your messages are all on your computer. So if you can't find the message you think you deleted anyway I would say that the chances are pretty slim to retrieve.

  • Satellite L30: reader will not read CDs or DVDs

In the evening, I was recently testing on various operating systems on my laptop and eventually decided to return to Windows Pro.
It was working fine until a couple of days, but then the hard drive started making a rattling noise, like R/RW head stuck.

Now it will not read CDs or DVDs, can someone please help and tell me if it's a failure of the software or hardware, and the best way to fix it?

    Hello

The drive problems are not uncommon and may still occur.
For the most part the purpose of calibration training does not work correctly.
The objective must be calibrated in the correct position until the player will read or write to the media.
This fault is not reperable and especially the drive needs to be replaced!

  • Tecra A8: audio stutters during playback of CD/DVD on Win2K

We recently started having the laptop Tecra A8 and we run Win2K on them. Everything works well except during playback of CD audio or DVD. Audio stutters really bad (worse with DVD to CD).
I tried to remove the silent acoustics and re - install the audio drivers but same problem.
As a test, I put the WinXP preinstalled on one, and then there is no problem. May be driver related issue, but we do not have the best experiences using XP drivers on a Win2K machine.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

As far as I know on the Tecra A8 has been preloaded with a Realtek HD Audio driver.
I guess you also need the same kind of audio driver for W2k.
This unit uses a link high-definition audio, and I think you'll need driver that supports this chip.

See the Toshiba driver for W2k drivers page. In addition if you don t use the Toshiba Recovery CD you need to install all the drivers of Toshiba in the right order. Please see the installation instructions and follow this guideline.

  • T520 will not use any device DVD

    People,

I was going to do a backup, when I noticed that the DVD player was no longer under my computer.

I when in Device Manager, where he showed with a yellow X... I tried to update the device driver, it said that I had the right device. I've done many other things - nothing has worked.

I really wanted to get the backup made, so I took my portable DVD player/burner and plugged. The laptop computer found a loaded device OK... but it does not appear in my computer. I had the same problem as the DVD drive internal.

Then I got a USB drive external Passport, connected to the same USB port, no problems... He mounted the disk and I made the backup.

My T520 will not use any device DVD... ideas?

    Hello ShawnKohl,

We can also try to go back to a time where he worked with system restore.

Once this has been done, check the hat of Windows updates are available and hide the audio driver updates that are available.

    System Restore:

    Windows XP - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/306084

    Windows Vista/7 - http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/products/features/system-restore

    Updates of masking:

Please note that in addition to that, the advice of the previous poster remains true: we want to get the latest audio driver on the system of the manufacturer.

drive CD - rw will play CD but not dvd it says: "Please insert the disk".

It would be like a CD player is designed to play CD to play a DVD, you need get a DVD player.
