Backgammon Internet came with my Windows XP. It has worked well for years, then quit the sound. By clicking on "his power" in the options does not help. Help!

I tried the "sound on / off" in the game options. The speaker volume is high, but the game has more noise.

shastaman,
Here are a few things to try.
The problems of sound in XP

You can turn off the game (uninstall) turn it on (restore).  To do this follow the steps below.
Click Start > Control Panel > Add / Remove Programs > (on the left side of the window) Add/Remove Windows components
Select accessories and utilities, and then click Details. Select games, and then click Details; then uncheck Internet games and click OK to add/remove Windows components > click Next > click Finish.

Restart your system and then repeat the steps and put the check mark back next to games on the Internet.  Then test after the reboot.
