Backup to disk of UBS impossible

I tried in vain to save my data on a SanDisk Cruzer 8 GB thumb drive using Windows Vista Edition Backup Wizard family.   When I start the backup process, I get a pop-up window asking me to ' Label and insert a blank disc. I do not understand this message since the key USB is already inserted into the port of UBS. My only options are to click 'OK' or 'Stop the backup.  If I click 'OK', I get the save window pop up with the same message.

Anyone have a solution to this problem?

Thank you very much for your help!

  • Should I backup on disk hard E or outside?

I would like to know what the best backup option to use - hard E drive or external support please.

    Thank you

Is drive E: only partition on the first HARD disk or a second HDD?

In my opinion do not save data only on a HARD drive. I save my data always on an external HARD drive and every month I do a picture and save it to the HARD drive internal.
Why? Each HARD drive (external too) may be defective. So if you back up your data on two s HDD like me, you will lose all the things because normally two s HDD will get not defective at the same time.

I hope that you understand that a little bit.

I have a HP G62-340US notebook pc-product # XH066UA #ABA, OS is windows 7 64 bit.   The hard drive does not work so I'm relpacing with a new.  I have no os disks and any backup recovery.  When I turn on the laptop there that peripheral black splash screen States 3FO hard drive not found.

My question is that I don't know what drives I need to order at HP to reformat my laptop.  Again, I have no backup disk or any disks. I lost everything on the laptop. which is ok.  So it's like I'm starting with a blank slate.

Should I order the kit Media Ststem recovery for consumer notebook, which is a set of 4 discs?   and that's all that I need to install to return to the State wherever it was when I bought it new.  Are there other discs that I need to order or just that?

  • iCloud Photo library of backup hard disk external

Assuming that you don't use referenced files, copy & paste "Library.photoslibrary Photos" package to a hard external lead backup all my pictures in Photos? If I open this file on another computer, I will be able to access my photos?

Assuming that you don't use referenced files, copy & paste "Library.photoslibrary Photos" package to a hard external lead backup all my pictures in Photos?

Yes, you can simply drag and drop the photo library on an external drive.

But make sure, that the file system of the disk is Mac OS extended (journaled).  Otherwise, you may experience problems with errors in the file. (such as described here for Aperture: using Mac OS X extended, for your Aperture library locally mounted volumes)

Turn the meter of "Ignore ownership on this volume" for the external drive, if you want to open the library of another Mac.

If I open this file on another computer, I will be able to access my photos?

Yes, if the first mac has the same version of Mac OS X installed. Versions of Photos must be the same.

Using iCloud photo library? In this case depends on your preferences to "Optimize Mac Storage".  Optimize Mac storage' active your original photos will be in iCloud and not on your Mac and not copy on the external drive.  "Then you will need to disable optimize Mac storage" and wait for your photos to download before copying the library.

  • 2 questions: backups of disk XP and EULA talk about more than 1 CPU.

2 questions: The Windows XP Home EULA says that I can not use the program on more than one CPU. Does this mean that I am breaking the agreement by running on a dual-core CPU? Second question, it is good to re - install Windows XP from a backup copy, when I lost the original disk but still have a valid product code?

First question: a dual-core CPU has two processing cores, packaged in a single module.  It counts as a single processor for Windows XP license.

    Second question: Yes.

  • What is the function of drive D with respect to the C drive with regard to performing backups of disk?

I noticed that when I back up the drive 'local disk' C drive D "recovery" appears as a choice of backup also.

If I look at the contents of D drive, it reflect to some extent the contents of the C drive.  However, it also seems to be very comprehensive, showing only 2 GB free of possible 12 GB.

First of all, what is the purpose of the D drive?  I don't remember when I put anything in there manually.

Secondly, I should back up disk and drive C clear D?  Not that it would take long or take a lot of place, but it's too redundant to do?

Thanks for any comments on the ground!

D is something your OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer - the company that brought the computer in a package deal for you like HP, Dell, Gateway, Lenovo, etc) put it there in case you need to restore the default values.

I would like to backup everything.  The worst of the method chosen, it's that you probably do not have CD/DVD to restore the system in the event of a failure of hard drive... so, this hard drive dies and * poof *-you have nothing.

Call the manufacturer of your computer. Request a set of recovery disc for Vista Home Premium. Make sure that you mention, 32-bit or 64-bit in your operating system.
The cost of the set of disks is minimal and it should be spending money.
The set of disks will save your computer if it breaks in the future.

Buy an external USB disk for backup on.  Backup to the same disk hard physics is not a backup, if the hard drive dies, you lose your original and all backups.

    Yes.

I would like to point out something that you may not realize: Windows 8
has two interfaces; the modern/Metro Interface (which may be all the)
you have looked at) and the traditional desktop Interface. You can use
one or both. This traditional desktop Interface is almost
identical to the interface of Windows 7. the biggest difference is that
There is no Orb start clicking to bring up the start menu.
But note that you can get the ORB start by using one of the many
third-party programs, are free or very cheap (the classic interface
    http://classicshell.sourceforge.NET/ and debut8 to
    http://www.stardock.com/products/start8/; my personal preference is
Debut8, but they are both very good).  And goes from an interface to
the other is very easy; There are several ways, but simply by pressing
the Windows key is perhaps the easiest.
I use Windows 8, almost exclusively with traditional workstations
the interface and with 8 Start installed. If you were to look at and use
my computer, you would have a hard time realizing that it is not
    Windows 7.
I also recommend to read "how to make Windows 8 or 8.1 watch and.

  • Restore a full backup of disk created using HP Backup and Recovery Manager

I have a PC (dc7800) was complaining about the hard drive is about to fail so before you do the replaced disk, I ran a full disc backup in the hope that it would make restoreing the PC to its previous 'glorious' State reasonably easy. He created 3 DVD full of files. Now that the PC has been returned, I can't get the manager backup and restore see backup and restore their! What the feck I'm doing wrong? Does anyone have instructions on how to get this thing to work?

DVDs have a VHD file and a bunch of XML files. When I go to the recovery of the PC and select this option to restore to a point in time, I can navigate the OFN records DVD but no backup appears, I click Next and it just collapses the tree to the DVD player again! I'm doing my head here!

it... due fixed so that it is an OEM of Vista version with no support, I couldn't 'fix' under Advanced Startup option. I was able to get an ISO image of a boot to boot with Vista Recovery on that drive. From here, I was able to run a repair and restore a backup PC.

    I think you misunderstand concepts.

    (1) drop tablespace RTESTUSR including content and data files;

worth a command, it removes the tablespace named the database. There is nothing wrong with the database (even if it may be a logical (human) error). Restoration is used to fix the failings of the media. RMAN is just: ' RMAN-06019: could not translate tablespace name 'RTESTUSR' ', since there is no such tablespace in the actual database, the restore/recovery process fails.

    (2) Unfortunately, you hide the version of your database. Up to 10 gr 2 tablespace point-in-time recovery can be used to retrieve the abandoned spaces, 11 GR 1 material and higher it is possible.
And - TSPITR - requires a bit more than "set until...". ». Check the version of your unknown database will have.
