Base device system (missing in the scanning device manager) _

Last week I upgraded my laptop from Windows XP to Windows 7 Enterprise. I use IBM Lenovo 3000/n100 laptop model. After installing the operating system and windows udpate alll my required drivers and updates and patches installed correctly. But by checking Device Manager there are 2 errors showing for not able to get the drivers. Those who are "Base system device". While checking that the entry, I'm not able to get exactly what driver is missing. I tried on many ways to update through Windows Update and update of Lenovo, but I'm not able to get / set what driver is missing. With this mail I ask that to provide me a tool I can able to get the driver for installation details.

Hi Srini,

These hardware IDS are for the memory card reader. It seems that Lenovo doesn't support Windows 7 on this computer, but you can try the Vista drivers. Here is a link. http://www-307.IBM.com/PC/support/site.WSS/document.do?sitestyle=Lenovo&lndocid=MIGR-67298

Thank you

  • Device driver base system missing + volume buttons do not work

    Hello

I have a SL400 and upgraded to windows 7, sold separately, as I bought before June 29, 2009. I installed the op system and 4.0 thinkvantage system update to install the drivers. Just fine, except 1 thing (actually 2) as Device Manager indicates that it y 2 missing drivers, poster-->--> Device(this displayed 2 times one under like 2 drivers are missing) Base system devices. I don't really know what devices here as it is not indicated. The other problem is that the volume buttons do not work. It is more updated available through the TVT system so update... No idea what can be the problem?

    Thank you

    David

All right, had basic system--> Ricoh card reader device. Installed the driver and works correctly. The volume buttons still do not work.

  • Base system - missing drivers device

    Hello

I have a ProBook 6560 b and a ProBook 5330 m, they are both new and I just installed WIN PRO 7 SP1 32 - BIT on them and Office 2010, no other software so far.

The problem is that the two laptops display the 'Base system device' under 'Other devices' in Device Manager. The difficulty is to know what drivers are missing. In addition, the 6560 b docking station doesn't seem to work correctly, some USB ports do not charge and the audio port does not work either. I have a secondary screen connected via DVI and that works very well, also portable across it costs too.

Any ideas on how I can answer these questions will be very appreciatted.

    Kind regards

    EB

I would setup the driver chipset first if you have not already done so.

For basic system devices, you need the card reader driver.

For any other device that requires drivers (such as strangers), go to the Device Manager and click on each of them, one at a time.

Then click on the Details tab.

There, you will now see a drop-down list of properties. Drop down on it and select the second element (Hardware ID).

After the first string of characters you see in the window for each device.

Those who will be ID, type, and model devices and I can send you the links to the drivers you need.

If after you have installed all the drivers, your docking station does not, I suggest that to start a new thread for the docking station does not.

I never use a docking station so I have not a clue how to go about solving the case.

I hope this problem with the chipset drivers.

  • DV6409ca No. Wireless and three device Base system in the Device Manager

I have a DV6409ca SNcnf73202t7 and ran Windows XP on it flawlessly for about a year.

Last night I asked my laptop and this morning I woke up to the orange light of death on the front of the computer for the wireless and three newspapers of device Base system in the Device Manager. They run:

    Bus PCI 7, device 5, function 3

    Bus PCI 7, device 5, function 2

    Bus PCI 7, device 5, function 4

I tried making restoration of the system, the removal of the chipset drivers / wireless/network and reinstall in safe mode and the search for solutions to many other people tried to make their wireless work.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

    Hello:

You must download and install the Ricoh 5-in-1 card reader driver support for your laptop and driver page.

Go to Device Manager and expand network adapters.

Is the model of your wireless poster card he or she has completely disappeared from the Device Manager, does not come under the section of the network cards, or in the General list of devices such as a network controller?

If she disappeared from the view, 99% chance the connection from the motherboard to the card slot plugs into is fried.

This is a very common problem with the dv6000/dv9000 models.

    Hello

You updated the BIOS and motherboard (chipset drivers)? All device drivers? By checking
    manually on the link above?

If so you need to contact the Sony Support as the error is in the provided OEM drivers and not
    Windows 7.

  • Portege 2000: How to add device in Device Manager base system?

    Hello

I'm trying to implement the SD card reader on my Portege 2000 running the Windows XP operating system.

I downloaded and installed the common modules and my BIOS has not updated.

I downloaded the SD host controller driver, but can't install it because I have no base system device manager for devices by reading me.

How do I get this so I can allow my SD card reader?

    Thank you, happy new year

    Becky

    Hello

Base system device is usually the SD card controller. If you just install it should correct the problem.
SD host controller driver should be installed first. After the SD host controller driver is installed, you can install the SD memory card driver. The driver can be installed as follows:

    SD host controller driver,
    1. from the [start] menu, select [Settings], then click [Control Panel].
    2. double-click [System], and select the [Hardware] tab.
    3. click on [Device Manager].
    4. double-click on [device Base System].
    5. Select the [driver] tab and click [set to update driver].
    6. click [next] and select [display a list of drivers that are known...].
    7. click [next] and select [ECS] in [hardware types].
    8. click on the [disc] button.
9 locate the folder "{CD player}: Windows XP Pro\Toshiba SD Host Controller Driver" and follow the instructions on the screen.
    10. Finally, restart the Windows

For the SD memory card driver

After you have installed the SD host controller driver,
    1. Insert the SD memory card into the SD slot.
2 operating system detects and starts to install the driver from SD card.
    3. specify the INF ({CD player}: Windows XP Pro\Toshiba Driver SD Memory Card) and forward the installation process.
4 copy the file SDDEVMGR.dll in the Windows system directory.
Note that the system directory means \WINDOWS\SYSTEM32 for Windows XP.

    Hi athithyanac.

Sony recommends to perform an upgrade of Windows 8 operating system instead of the new facility. I suggest you to perform the upgrade process so that your computer works perfectly with Windows 8 operating system.

Follow the instructions and install all the drivers in the same order: http://www.sony-asia.com/microsite/vaio/support/GetWindows8/UpgradeInstructions_EN.html

You can download and install all the drivers available from here: http://www.sony.co.in/support/product/vpcca15fg

If the problem persists, contact the Sony support team in your country for further assistance: http://www.sony.net/SonyInfo/Support/

    Hello

I just installed Win 7 (64-bit) and my volume control does not work properly. It does not turn the sound up and down, but the blue band is not displayed on the screen.

In addition, I seem to have a device or devices for which there is no drivers apparently. They are listed as "base system device" x 3 in Device Manager and "unknown device" x 1.

    Thanks for any help.

    Download and install:

MediaSmart SmartMenu here (version 3.1.2.2 for 32/64-bit Win7)

Before installing this software, that you must have installed at least a MediaSmart package software. The best choice will be in my opinion:

MediaSmart DVD here (version 4.1.4328 for 32/64-bit Win7)

If you do not use any additional software you can use another product that is:

    3VRX here (version 2.5 for 32/64-bit Win7)

    Note:

Here is YouTube video that shows what can be done with the 3VRX software.

Try following the steps under "Windows 7 or Windows Vista" in the MS KB article:

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/982116

These measures, to remove the UpperFilters and LowerFilters, values if they exist, in the registry key named can help.

Create a System Restore Point beforehand and restart the computer later.
