  I understand your beeps at startup.

  You can try reinstalling the RAM.

  Remove the ram and then reinsert it.

  Also do a hard reset.
  Turn off the computer.
  Remove the power cable and battery.
  Hold down the power button for 15 sec while booth energy sources are deleted.

  This should reset the hardware in the computer.

  That you put it on press the F10 key. This will load the BIOS setup utility.
  Press F9 to load the default values.
  Press F10 to save and exit.

  When the computer starts up, check if everything is working.

  I started having 2beeps at startup. FUNCTIONALLY, IT IS THERE OF NOTHING WRONG. It's just that I have 2beeps.

  I received this unit about 2 weeks ago and it ran clean. I've been on it last week and I did something VERY MINOR. so little of I don't know what it was. whatever i may be, it makes beep - beep twice with no error message or anything like that, and that's all. nothing else has happened.

  because then I get 2beeps at startup, a splash screen very very fast that says something like "american megatrends" or something with some basic info, then another screen of boot very very fast showing what looks like information system database, then it goes quickly to the w7 splash screen. nothing else happens and the e73 works very well... HE DIDN'T THERE WAS NO ERROR MESSAGE. When I got the e73, it was not showing the two splash screens before started to w7.

  Maybe nothing is wrong but the computers not just to the top and do something out of the ordinary.

  and one last question. how quickly must the fan turn? literally, how fast should it spinning. This fan turn as fast as computers desktop that I am used to. It is spinning, it is air blowing, but it certainly don't spin as fast as my other office.

  Well, I gave up trying to solve the MB. Instead, I just bought a new MB of Ebay, it costs $72 but was worth it. I installed the MB easily and it starts right up normally with just 1 quick beep, BIOS opens and everything works except that I had to order a new Acer E-recovery disk to reinstall Windows 7 but it's worth the $19 to have the original software from Acer for this particular PC. I always tell people to keep the system disks because you always in the future need, but most of the people who bring in it PC always loses, lol. Well, for those of you who responded to thank you for the advice.

  I have an acer aspire v3 - 571 that keep a beep on startup. I can get into Windows 7 by pressing "ESC".

  However, after I enter Windows and use my browser (mozilla firefox), the Web page is scrolled automatically at the end of the page. Despite manually by pressing the scroll bar and bring the scroll bar to the top of the page, just wedpage keep automatic scrolling at the end of the page.

  Initially, I suspect my wireless mouse was defective, but even after changing for wired operation smile, the problem persists.

  Now I am suspecting if the problem is the built-in trackpad or the built-in keyboard key 'END '. Please en; ighten me on what I need to do to solve the problem above.

  There are many more to check, take a look at your 'End' button, use a cloth with compressed air to clean up a bit.

  The Dell Inspiron N5110 might emit a series of beeps at startup if the LCD monitor cannot display errors or problems. The beeps 8 on this model indicates an LCD failure. However, I suggest you try to plug a well known external monitor and check if it works (if available).

  I have a problem with my Dell insipiron r15 5558, I bought it 3 months ago. But last month my laptop beep 8 times at startup. When this happens, I usually only the power out of my laptop because of the distracting noise and turn it back on. Once I powered on / off power for 3 - 4 times it don't beep plus one works very well. Anyone know what could be the problem? I ran a Test LCD and an analysis of Pre-boot system, it was running fine without any problem, I used my warranty and sent the labtop to dell here the last 2 weeks, they sent and didn't tell that it is no problem with my laptop, but it is still beebing 8 times by clicking on the power on

  8 attention beep is usually to do with the problems of LCD, as you already know.   If diagnostics are passing and the system has been returned to the warehouse for the evaluation, the only thing I think it could be is a connecting cable of the LCD screen.  You said sometimes works very well after starting several times, then maybe it's the cable.

  Have you tried to hold the screen in different positions when it turn on?   Just to see if guidance works better and maybe the cable is a better connection.  You can check if the cable is loose yourself.  Here is a link to the online manual for the Inspiron 15r 5558.  You can use it to see how a screen is normally replaced, but instead to replace it you would just check the connection of the cable to make sure it's tight.  NOTE: Make sure you follow the safety instructions and information in the section "before you begin".

  Let us know if you find a loose fitting and if the adjustment of the angle of the screen change anything when you try to turn on the system.  I hope it's something as simple as a bad connection and you can correct it.  If the ringing continues I recommend to contact Dell support again and have them send it back for repair, unfortunately.

  A colleague has spilled water on an A200 Equium and therefore it emits a continuous beep on startup. In fact, you get one beep, immediately followed another. However, if you press F1 it starts OK and all is well. I ran Diagnostics and found nothing wrong.
  The only problem is that one or two of the keys work fine if you lightly touch them.
