  Chaanged having you all the parameters or whatever it is on your BlackBerry?

  Do a simple reboot on the BlackBerry this way:

  With the BlackBerry powereddevice, remove the battery for a minute and then reinsert the battery to restart. A reboot in this way is prescirbed for most the gltiches and operating system errors, and you will lose any data on the device doing so.
  Now repeat your locking/unlocking.

  Recently when I click on the contacts shortcut it locks the phone.  The only way to unlock is to press stop on the far right.  The contacts are still there, because I can access it from the call log.

  can you please specify what shall I tell by touch shortcuts? Have you tried with a soft reset by removing the battery for 30 sec. ?
