BlackBerry Smartphones Blackberry 8120 4.5 symbol of Earth on the home screen
There is a symbol of the 'land' (number 1 next to it) on my homescreen to the left of the date and time, I searched some tutorials but do not understand what who and why is he here?
Any help appreciated.
Open your Messages folder > Menu key > folder view > Messages Browser (or perhaps the WAP Push messages) and find the messages, open or delete.

How can smartphones blackBerry I remove a new alert mail from the home screen icon
I set up a new e-mail account and received 7 new emails. Later, I deleted the email account, but did so before the opening of each of 7 new emails. The e-mail account has been deleted, but the number 7 and the new mail icon always appears on the home screen. I created the account once again to see if the emails were there, but they were not. I removed the battery and wait a few minutes and that did not work. Anyone have any ideas?
Press menu, menu again, mail, search, go to show and indicate unopened only

Smartphones blackBerry message folder may not have added to the home screen
I use the BES server and I just added my personal e-mail account to the bb storm and my account has been verified. The bb storm noted, "...". a new e-mail folder will be placed on your home screen... "but I've waited an hour and nothing has changed or happened to my home screen.
Thoughts?
BES server does not add the personal emails, only 1 work email
need to use your BIS site carrier personal email setup
did you go to oyur battery for 30 seconds and replaced it?
If you go to your BIS carrier site and login, you can repush service books
the icon of your personal e-mail MESSAGES will not be called, its name will be your e-mail address
go to options - advanced options-service books
check and see if you have the service books that have your email address

BlackBerry Smartphones permanent 1 unread message symbol on the home screen
Hello!
I have a Blackberry Curve 8330 relatively new (I bought 2 months ago!) and symbols at the top of the home screen (for missed calls, messages, unread, etc.) had been working well until a few weeks ago when the symbol of unread message became stuck on the screen for a while now. I've lived all my messages and even pressed 'U' to find messages unread - but the following message appears:
"No unread messages in the list."
There seems to be no real reason for the symbol to be blown up, since all my messages have been read.
It is annoying me and I really want to get rid of the symbol, since there are no unread messages.
How should I go about this?
Thank you!
No, reset I described the first bullet of the post above will remove NO contacts or data (or I would have notified you as so).
Similarly, this discount to zero just does NOT turn and the unit. Do it as described above.

Smartphones from blackBerry Torch 9810 locked to the home screen
Hello
I would ask you for help. I continued receive notifications of updates to BB App World, I found quite annoying, so I searched the Internet for trick how to avoid these. I followed the recommendation of someone to go to options > application > applications > app world > and then deny all of their parameters. After having done that, the unit restarted and showed the following: Application completed, access denied for user LpBBMBridgelmpl. This notification stays on the screen, then it goes to the home screen where the unit is locked and shows "new messgae" notes. But Im not able to touch anything, cannot. What should I do?
May thanks for your advice.

Hello and welcome to the community!
I recommend that you try to start safe mode:
- KB17877 How to start a smartphone BlackBerry in Mode safe
It will take several attempts to get the combination of keys ESC (press/release/hold) OK, so be patient. When properly in Safe Mode, try to reverse what you did.
Good luck and let us know!

BlackBerry smartphones how show appointments today on the home screen
The 8220 is my first BB. I used to have the cingular 3125 smartphone and was one of the most important features for me to have my next appointment show on the home screen. Then would come the point upward (that is to say 15 minutes) I would hit reject and would show the next appointment.
T Mobile BB technicians tell me that this option is available on all other BB, but they do not know how to activate it on the pearl flip 8220.
Did somebody to understand yet?

Perform a simple reboot on the BlackBerry this way: with smart BlackBerry poweredphone, remove the battery for a minute and then reinsert the battery to restart. A reboot in this manner is prescribed for most defects and errors of operating system, and you will lose any data on the device doing so.
Now, are the icons ok?

BlackBerry Smartphones Facebook icon not showing on the home screen
The facebook icon does not appear on the home screen. I deleted the facebook app, downloaded again, removed the battery, resent service books, re-registered my Blackberry. Nothing works. Any help?
1. look in EVERY folder on your device... Applications, instant messaging, downloads, etc.
If you don't see it still, look at the Options > advanced > Applications. Do you not see it listed there?2 is it hidden? On your home screen, press Menu > SHOW ALL, so that ALL DISPLAY is checked.
Now, back in ALL these folders.

My messages, all other next to the e-mail, because I have not yet implemented, just keep disappearing. I have the theme of the home screen that displays messages, calendar, call log, and applications. The messages section shows me when I have a missed call or text or something like that... but for some reason, I go back to my phone and I do not see who called or texted. The messages section of the home screen is blank and if I select and go to my App messages, there are only 3 registered and 2 are BlackBerry April 25 and July 30, only appears from my boss on 5 August. The only reason why I can not even imagine still appears so is because she too has a blackberry. I don't know, but it really starts to aggravate the crap out of me. Someone knows how to help?
I went to the General Options messages and ensures that all calls are sent to messages and call log.
Oh yes! The call log does not nothing either. It's ridiculous!
To please help because I love this phone, it does not work to the maximum but it's disappointing.
This has been asked before and solved... you have a problem of memory... you must have at least 12 MB of free space for the phone works smothly. If you have not yet get a memory card and move your photos and videos on memory card. and ringtones downloaded... to find out what the status of your file is click on options of--> the situation and see what your file free it is another thing that could help is to do a battery pull, then do step above... Also make sure you have all internet programs running in the background IE: weatherbug... it causes continually downloads of data... clear your browsing history by going to a browser opened by clicking on menu, then options and then cache and clear your history... There are other measures to help, but I don't see any at the present time...

The icons at the top of the home screen, life and the battery cover bar disappeared. How to make a comeback?
as well as the name of wi - fi network. They are all gone. I don't know how this has happened and I can't find a way to get back them. Any help would be appreciated.
I found the problem. The new installation of BlackBerry Protect caused the time and date and other above disappearing icons. I have since deleted the application and everything was restored.
Thank you for looking into this.

BlackBerry smartphones to change icons that appear on the home screen
Hi all:
Any new owner of the 9000.
I've had three questions for you gurus:
(1) is there a way that I can choose which icons appear on the home screen, so that I don't not to hit the MENU button and then scroll to access ones I use regularly...?
(2) ATT (in the United States) made wonder a user name and password when I try to connect to att.com/blackberrystart. I already put in place an email 'external' non-Exchange, the private, ([email protected]) on my phone, but of course I can't use it to connect to this site. Does anyone have an idea as to what is happening?
(3) even if I send emails using this account [email protected] of "BOLD", what should I do to RECEIVE emails on account of [email protected] using POP?
Any help on these three issues will be fantastic.
Thanks in advance.
-d.
You can hide those that you no longer want to see. Just ALT + click the trackball on those that you do not want to see and choose hide. With the default theme only the top row of icons will be visible without hitting the menu button.
Check out this post to other sites that have additional themes, you can install
http://supportforums.BlackBerry.com/Rim/Board/message?board.ID=bold&thread.ID=1065
When you go to the page AT & T BIS are you in the 'create new account' first? You can create an account to access the site. After you have created an account, you can access the sections of e-mail accounts to configure your BlackBerry email account.

Hello
I just got my phone this week. I loved this day! I am just confused with some things...
First of all:
I have my email to work for me and I have a gmail icon just to mail on the home screen. Is there a similar app AOL mail? or is the AOL Search icon only downloadable icon to the home screen?
Second:
On my phone, there is a world high above with the #2 in the left of it... My sister and my brother has the exact same phone me as long as they don't have it. what it means?
THANKS FOR YOUR HELP!
Nilda
If you use Gmail app. As much as I know there is no BB AOL application itself like Gmail app.
But you can incorporate into your AOL via BIS account (http://na.blackberry.com/eng/support/software/internet.jsp) and gmail account can be integrated in the same way. This way, your e-mail will be pushed the same corporate e-mail, without having to chk mailed on the app.
Can you be a bit more descriptive on your 2nd quest?

BlackBerry Smartphones stuck on the home screen
The system seems to be stuck on the "Home Screen" (the screen with the background image). You can hold down the blackberry button and it will bring up a menu where I can read my email and make calls (the trackball works here), but I can't choose anything on the home screen or the great list of icons.
Hi and welcome to the Forums!
Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.
Best!
