BlackBerry smartphones can't get Blackberry Desktop Software to install

I am trying to install the software from the CD that came with the phone, and I also tried download and install it in this way and still no luck. I use Windows XP.

I get the following:

The installation wizard appears and tells

Status: Awaiting the requirement: Microsoft.NET Framework 2.0 SP1

and when I click on install, as a first step, it is said

Status: download

And then an error message appears:

When you download the file http://saturn.installshield.com/prerequisites/microsoft .net framework 2.0 sp1.prq. What do you do?     Try again or cancel

If I click on start again it's just the same thing over and over again. If I click on cancel, the message changes to:

An error occurred when downloading the file http:..download.microsoft.com/download/0/8/c/08c19fa4-4c4f-4ffb-9d6c-150906578c9e/NetFX20SP1_x86.exe. What do you do?

Try again or cancel

Once again, Retry simply repeat the message. The final message after clicking on Cancel again reads as follows:

The files for the installation requirements Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 SP1 is not found. The installation will stop. This is probably because of a download, cancelled, or failed.   Yes No

And then it just closes. In this case, if I try to install from disc or downloaded file. What should I do?

Try to arrive here.

  • BlackBerry smartphones can not get the Desktop Manager to recognize the connection to the device

I tried for days now to get the Desktop Manager to recognize a connection on my phone so that I can sync my Outlook contacts and calendar.  So far, I deleted and reinstalled the Manager several times.  I downloaded and installed the driver package.  I tried to do a battery pull before connecting the phone.

Whenever I connect the phone Microsoft "new hardware found" Wizard opens and it recognizes the Blackberry device but it cannot complete the installation of the phone because apparently missing a driver.

I love the phone, but it is useless for me until and unless I can sync it with Outlook.  Any suggestions?

OK, I found and fixed the problem!  It had to do with the new Windows assistant material not being able to find the driver for the Blackberry device.  When I did the uninstall process part included saving the pilot atl.dll.  I assumed it was the driver that I needed to make things work.  I searched on the C: drive for the file, and when the new device Wizard came I pointed to the spot.  The Assistant began to load the driver.  He asked another file that is part of the Service Pack 2 of Windows and I searched and found this one as well and directed the Assistant for her.  It finishes loading and the device is connected.

The problem at the end of the day was that the wizard could not find the driver that he needed, even if it is there all the time.

Thank you for the help, it lead me to the solution I needed.

  • Smartphones from blackBerry Desktop Software not seeing music on computer

Recently, I replaced my computer.  I backed up the music folder and its subfolders on the old computer and restored to the new.  There is a subfolder under 'My Music' for each artist. It's the structure that was built by Windows Media Player, when I originally ripped music from the CD.

My Curve 8330 was about 8 GB of music on it I have Sync from your old computer.  Now, when I go to the page to synchronize your music, none of the music in subfolders appears.  The only thing I see are three artists that are in the folder "music sample" supplied with the PC default.  So I don't seem to be able to re - sync.  How can I get the Desktop software to recognize all the music on my computer?  I want to just make sure that when I run a synchronization is not annihilate everything on my Blackberry.  Thank you.

Apparently, I installed the Blackberry Desktop Software before I rebuilt my index of Windows Media Player.  I had to uninstall the Blackberry Desktop Software and resintall once I rebuilt the index WMP.  He recognizes now all music.  I hope that this will save someone else the trouble...

In addition, make sure you use only the root USB ports... without hubs (sometimes the front-end ports are hubs... use a rear USB port). And don't forget to try to disable the USB power management in the configuration of your system (Device Manager).

Check also on the incompatible software... it was reported that NTI Shadow Ninja & software can cause a conflict; Remove and reinstall the desktop software BB allows to install correctly.

  • Updated December 14, 2012 Smartphones blackBerry desktop software

Just downloaded and installed the desktop software was last updated and now 'requests' listing does not show or list of the 9900's 'Core Applications' contained in my previous version of the Desktop software?

I just finished a bad BBM 7 update, which addresses going back to BBM 6 and now this last gift from RIM has me scrambling to return to an earlier version of the Desktop software?

    What happens with RIM?

    Hello

There are some possibilities... but why not try it to see if it clears things upwards:

    1) uninstall all the BB OS packages from your PC,

    (2) make sure you have the BB Desktop Software already installed

    (3) download and install on your computer, the BB OS package that is currently running on your BB:

    (4) If this OS package comes from one carrier other carrier for which your BB was built, then remove, on your PC, all copies of the SELLER. XML... There will be at least one and maybe 2, and they will be located in the same way or to (it changes based on your version of Windows) these files:

    • C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
    • C:\Users\(your Windows username) \AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML

    (5) now run the Desktop software and connect your BB... the Basic apps should now be displayed.

Note that you can also use this update of your BB to any specific OS package you want. When replace you in step 3 above, the BB OS package you want to install on your BB, then when you get to the end, the software should offer the operating system package you have installed on your PC. If, during the process, your BB votre BB a '507' error, simply unplug the power cord of the BB USB and reinsert it. do nothing else... This should allow the installation to continue.

Good luck and let us know!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Blackberry Desktop Software said 'connection '.

I'm trying to back up my blackberry and it keeps saying for the last 30 minutes connecting to the right of the bottom of the screen.  It shows my camera but I can't click on the tab now backup and when I go to configure settings it tells me to connect a device.

Can someone tell me what is happening?

I currently have a "App Error 200" on my screen, and I'm trying to get rid of... is that may impact my connection? and I can do/use to get rid of him, if I can't access my blackberry desktop software?

I have the blackberry bold 9900

You will not be able to backup of the device with the app error 200 appearing.

You should start your BlackBerry in Mode safe and remove all third-party apps or themes that you could add, starting with the most recent added, first of all.

Article ID: KB17877 How to start a BlackBerry smartphone in safe mode

Then, on the BlackBerry, click Options > device > application management and remove these apps, you think that could be the culprit.

Restart the BlackBerry again and see if the error app has disappeared.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones will be Blackberry Desktop software work on a Mac under El Capitan?

Hello, I am completely new to BBs and have just received a Bold 9790 I'm happening to synchronize with my Contacts, etc., but it doesn't seem to work with the software.

If I select USB key when you are prompted, he IS recognized as a USB key, so there seems to be no problem with the connection.

The software does not launch automatically, even if that is selected in the preferences, and if I manually run the Blackberry Desktop software it won't do anything because he doesn't seem to know that there is a BB connected.

If the software does not work I will have to try to synchronize another way I guess? This is the contacts I wanted especially well.

Hope that there is someone out there that can help you...

    R

Thank you. Although I understand the requirement for end of LIFE, it can leave me and the other a backup dilemma. Fortunately, I have an iMAc under Snow Leopard where I can still use the BB Desktop Manager - but what of everyone? At least BB may provide another way to backup critical information such as Contacts. It almost seems a sneaky way to tell us to get rid of our older BB phones, but still very useful.

  • Email for blackBerry Smartphones application is greyed out on BlackBerry desktop software.

I have the Blackberry desktop software version 4.5 installed on my computer. I can't access the E-mail application because it is grayed out. When I try to access it I get an error message "this computer does not have his account address message. The messaging system is not configured properly or this e-mail system is not supported. "I use outlook for my email. I have a BlackBerry Curve 8330. It is updated with version 4.5. The software recognizes the phone. All other programs are available.

It's on a computer at home?  It seems that you have installed the desktop using the BES software / redirector option.  Redirector is designed to work with a server exchange; If you are using your home PC with a POP/IMAP e-mail address, the best solution would be to reinstall the Desktop Manager using BIS (located in the Setup Wizard), and then use the Blackberry Internet Service to configure your POP/IMAP e-mail.  With this configuration, you will over see the e-mail settings icon because it will no longer apply.  When you use the redirector on a computer that is not on an exchange server, you can receive messages on your device that say "this message is used to carry data between the blackberry and the server... ", which can be quite annoying.

  • Smartphones from blackBerry Desktop Software causing blue screen!

    Hey guys,.

I hope that there is someone out there who can help with this. I have a BlackBerry Curve with BlackBerry Desktop Software version 6.1 installed. Whenever I connect my BlackBerry via desktop software, my computer crashes with a blue screen. Regardless of whether or not you restart the computer, the same error. What I've noticed is that my CPU usage goes up to 100%, and the temperatures of the two nuclei exceeds 75 degrees during the connection. After that, the system hangs. In addition, it is not through the use of the processor or heat that the system hangs (the system is set to auto-sleep on 95 degrees).

I tried connecting to my BB from my systems but no luck. I also tried to downgrade the application to uninstall the latest version and installing the older version (version 6.0). For some reason any I can get hands on with the old version 5.0. Is there someone who has the same problem or perhaps have a solution to this problem?

    My system configurations:

    Main system:

    AMD Athlon X 2;

    4 GB OF RAM;

    Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise x 64 Edition

    Secondary system:

    Intel Core i5;

    4 GB OF RAM;

    Windows 7 Ultimate x 64

Do yourself a favor and open the BlackBerry Desktop Software, which is used to synchronize your blackberry with your computer. Note the program name in the title bar and the splash screen.

I understand that it is very clear that I won't be able to get help with this problem here - only option is to reverse engineer the software and redesign it so that his stable.

    Thank you for your time.

BUT... big but Blackberry Desktop Manager seems to have no way to allow me to put this old backup of data in the new 9650.

    How is that possible?

    Hello

You should probably switch to a later version of the Desktop software. You can then use this KB:
