  Or you can try to reinstall BBM, do that first remove all existing versions of BBM options > device > application > locate and delete BlackBerry Messenger from this list. When reboot its perform another traction battery by removing the battery while your unit is powered.

  Finally, after rebooting your BlackBerry browser go to www.blackberry.com/bbm and download the latest version available for your device.

  Try it and see if that helps.

  In fact, I suspect that you use the same BB ID and not the same PIN. When the same BB ID is used on multiple devices, results exactly as you describe can happen.

  If you know the other person, you can chat with them and decide which of you will go through the painful process needed to remedy this situation:

  Who's going to do will have to do a complete device WIPE. To prepare, backups are necessary... See the link in my signature on this post to know... you'll need it all. You may also need a list of all your BBM contacts... If you're on BBM7, there is no way to condone those to restore after you are done as they are attached to your BBID, not your BB. If you are on pre-BBM7, then you can save and restore them. Otherwise, it will be a process of re-entry manual.

• OS upgrade for blackBerry Smartphones and BBM is missing!

  Last night I upgraded to 4.5.0.138 4.5.077 (I think) and now the BBM is missing.  I tried several times to download App World of BB BBM, but the page does not load!  I restarted the phone and tried to access the app again and it still does not work.  Is there another way for me to download BBM?  Also does anyone know how to return to the previous operating system?  I don't know if this upgrade is really terrible. I really prefer 5.0 but Verizon has not yet released...

  Go to Options > Advanced > Applications and search and scroll the Messenger app and do not click it, just highlight it. Click Menu > delete and remove the application.

  Now, do a restart: with the BlackBerry device powered on, remove the battery a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to restart.

  Finally, use your BlackBerry browser to go to http://blackberry.com/blackberrymessenger and download/install again the Messenger application.

  After installation and reboot if necessary, check your instant messaging, or downloads of the application folder.

• Missing icons from blackBerry Smartphones to bbm screen

  I replaced a torch, 9800, with a replacement unit. Everything seems to work except the icons at the bottom of the bbm screen.   Remove the battery while your phone is on, then replace it a few seconds later.

  Just bought my first BB, Bold 9700 at Wind Mobile.  I would like to know if it is possible to run WLM, BBM and/or e-mail (not BES) access without a data plan and how I can do this.

  1. currently with FIDO without a data plan (I asked to block access to data for the moment)

  2. pending for the code of the RIM so I can't unlock the Bold 9700

  3. has bought a 3 G SIM Fido handset which I use my Sony phone for now

  4. in vain tried to activate my IMEI with Blackberry (I guess I must do this and BB Messenger can work with BIS) after asking Fido to register IMEI on their network

  After I unlock BB and insert my 3G FIDO SIM, I'll be able to run WLM, BBM, or access to non - BES emails?

  I tried to register my phone via Blackberry as a Fido service my IMEI & pin, but she would not cross even if I asked FIDO to save my IMEI on their network.  Any ideas?  The phone has not been unlocked yet?   What I'm missing here?

  You have a BlackBerry ID. It is used when you want to download an application on BBWorld. You also need to log into the device then in BBM. There are some things in life that should be remembered. Your device password is one of them. You are suffering and begging me for help because he could not remember your own password. It goes the same for BBID.   I actually ended up having to completely remove the bbm and re - install an older version. Here is the link I used. is one of the 6. verseions so not bbm voice but at least uve As bbm up to that LEDGE that bothers to solve the problem.

  I had BBM 5.0.33 and upgraded to the BBM 5.0.55 yesterday and today someone I messaged so I answered, and in the chat next to my message, the icon is stuck at Red mini clock instead of going to the box.   A 'soft reboot' is not the same as the above.

  Your report is now the 2nd I remember users non-BB10 for that matter. Indeed, it seems a few problems widespread, although not necessarily universal. Given that you have already tried, I recommend that contact your mobile provider to support formal and potential climbing up to BlackBerry.

  When the phone started there was an option to configure the e-mail via BIS or BES. I had to cancel because I wasn't sure of what was our e-mail configuration.   You can try to restore the missing option by the reinstatement of your device. Go to Options | Advanced options | The host routing table. Select the "BOLD" in the list entry, hit, you're menu button, then choose Save now. Subsequently, reset your unit by removing the battery for 1 minutes and replace it to let the device will restart.
