  I have a MMIC 1.5.1b version. I can launch the KVM on place where the servers are. If I try to launch KVM thru aa VPN connection, that it will not start.

  Same issue on Firefox, IE and Chrome.  Java is current, and even in the Java log I don't see anyhing...

  If I use the same pc and vpn in my LABORATORY, all right.  I've heard of people seeing this issue, but nobody has posted no response...

  Mike,

  KVM uses the port 2068 to communicate on the network, make sure that the port is allowed via VPN and its is not blocked by firewalls or ACLs. You can try to telnet to the server address MMIC using port 2068 to test connectivity on this port.

  Also, are able to launch KVM from any other version of CIMC on the VPN connection directly you form your PC?

  Maybe someone has already spent a little time with this configuration. the main substance is my ucsc don't think there boot a disc even if with MMIC, I see the opposite.

  I have set up with Server utility conf ucs-cxx-UCS - 3.1.3 b .iso with raid1 and I have 2 UCS C220M3S I do as with Raid0 on another. the trick is when I install ESXI 5.1 (VMware-VMvisor-Installer - 5.1.0 - 799733.x86_64.iso) during installation, the od VMware configuration detects the drive and install on it but after reboot storie always even no disc!

  I can't see where to do something? So, if someone has encountered this problem, my being already find the thing

  The bios is C220M3.1.4b.0 and I also have a PCI Broadcom 5709 1 Gbps 4-lane NIC slot 2 on the two UCSC

  Here is the config 2xXeon UC-E5-2650 @2. 00 Ghz with 64 GB of Ram.

  The defult username is 'admin' (default password is the password) for ALL our series C servers but you can also create an account with the username 'root' in which case it is a question of maintaining consistency in what concerns the usernames in different operating systems, but you must also keep in mind the security behind that risk.

  Bottom line, you open as root, but you'll need to create and activate this account in MMIC.

  I would like to know if you have any specific question regarding this.

• How to create a USB key with HUU for UCS

  I have 4 UCS C220M3 requiring updates and I downloaded HUU2.0.3d - 1 for that in the ISO file

  I really want to use a USB key to start the UCS of the box before I shipthem - so there is no network can - just out of the box, boot on USB via F6 and go!

  I am Macedonia this before on code 1.5, but now with 2.0 I had all kinds of funny mistake, and I think its related to the way in which I create the USB

  So what is the best way to create a USB bootable from this Cisco's ISO image?

  I tried 3 kinds of 'decision-makers', but none can boot up and load the HUU.

  Later, I tried going to start and begin to HUU, but then just fails when loading the firmware and tools

  Hi all

  I try to install the collector on VM. I used the VirtualBox and the NMP image - CSPC2.5.2.1 - UCS - C220M3.iso.
  When the virtual machine starts the connection to localhost is requested but I can't make connection.

  I tried connections located on the collector documentations:

  Admin Admin! 23 Admin Shell (CLI)
  Admin123 Admin123 CSP - C Web GUI
  collectorlogin Linux (Bash)
  root Linux (Bash)
  Admin Admin #123

  Some forums say to use root / no password (same as in front), but to no avail.

  Any idea?

  Your screenshot, I see that the installation has not completely finished. This seems to be due to the order of boor on your virtual machine.

  The installation completely finished, he should do a reset, but if the boot order is set to "CD/DVD" it will not be able to continue after the reboot.

  To resolve this issue, remove the existing VM in virtualbox and create a new, ensuring that the 'hard drive' is the first option (the hard disk must be above). This will enable the second part of the installation to continue after the interim restart.

  We use Cisco UCS C220M3 with VIC 1225 and Nexus 5548UP. Creation of vethernet with automatic creation works fine. Now we need to evaluate limit network cards or build a 'small' NIC 10 GIG with adapter Fex.

  I have a big pb installing esxi5.5.0 U1 on a UCS C220 M3S with version 2.0.1a. I get this message: no network adapters.

  I found a lot of post on the internet that say to do a custom installation CD, what I have done but without success. I also try to use the iso installation Cisco custom, with the same result...

  I have not anderstand what happen as the MMIC see network interfaces...

  It is possible that the optionROM for the integrated card is not activated.  Try to enable it in the BIOS, you can via the MMIC (see cimc_enable_optionrom) must attached. You also want to verify that this option gets enable in the bios.
  You can enter the bios by pressing f2 during boot (see BIOS_Option_ROM)

• S30 Config UCS

  We received a S30 and somewhere along the line someone apparently had the brilliant idea of raid SSD and a hard disk of 1 TB in a single volume on the blue ports.

  So in the boot order that one disc shows as "UCS: Intel Volume_0001" or something similar.

  In the Advanced Configuration of UCS, the first two ports show how Intel Volume_0001.

  I am assuming that they could not accomplish this in software because they have created the drives C and D, and a hidden partition on this volume.

  Question is how did do that, I don't see any RAID quick post to make changes. I turned on all the relevant BIOS including settings disable the quick start, but all messages that appear are too fast to read.

  CTRL + I or Ctrl + H seem to have no effect.

  Thank you, somehow they corrected, although they have to take it back to the warehouse. Since I don't know what was the exact solution I will mark this as the solution.

  Or if someone of Quest/Vizioncore knows of any problem or future integration planned with UCS.

  Craig, I know of many clients running the Cisco USC with VMware and they are very happy. There is no known issue with vFoglight perspective. VFoglight hardware monitoring currently able to extract any platform SNMP information. If you are looking for a vFoglgith to pull information from the physical ESX servers directly (not SNMP) you will need to ask for a discussion of the roadmap with your representative local of the quest.

  Inform the product manager for the platform you are using and what you want to be monitored and displayed...

  Just a suggestion, have a single Web page for logical and physical icons and clear descriptions, add dates for update and consolidation for the logic of the product icons. This will help to find the icons much easier.

  Thank you very much for your patience while we looked in the files icon.  Here's an update.

  • We checked the files in the zip file and they are not empty, but the designs are very small and if the drawing opens at about 30% of zoom, it would be easy do not agree on the drawing.  Sorry for the inconvenience.
  • In any case we are downloading a new zip with versions expanded drawings for the 6100 (interconnection of fabric) and 5108 (server chassis) so that they are more visible on the page. Of course, you can resize in Visio to what size you need.

• UCS C460 M2 - error 1902 during the firmware upgrade

  Hello!

  A few days ago, I could upgrade the firmware 1.5 (7 c) to 1.5(8a) and the BIOS to version 1.5.4a to 1.5.4b using file ucs-c460-huu - 1.5.8 has mapped via KVM using an old windows xp with java 1.7. In fact, this upgrade would allow access of latest java KVM, something that was lost a few months ago.

  On Monday, I did the same procedure on an exact server and everything was fine, but this server cannot update firmware.

  I get error 1902, described here:

  But there is not something to solve this problem.

  A few steps to try:

  -Turn off the server, remove the power supply and press and hold power for 30 seconds. Retry the upgrade.

  -Restart the MMIC before the upgrade.

  -Try the upgrade using a physical USB vs vMedia
