BlackBerry Smartphones trying to backup and restore - pin not recognized

I hope someone can help me!

I'm trying to back up my data on my 8320 and my pin code is not recognized.  I downloaded the software, while the phone was NOT connected.

Is it possible that this issue MAY have something to do with the company's server?  I've owned my blackberry for years.  When I took a new job, I asked my personal blackberry to be hung on the server of the company.  When I left the company, I have asked that it be removed from my blackberry.  I have not tried to save the data for this time.  I'm changing phones and my pin code is not recognized.  Further study revealed that the IT security certificate is always on the phone.  Could this be why I can't save the data?

Are there other options to move the data to the new phone without wiping data from my old phone?  I need to transfer my saved e-mail messages, entries in the calendar and contacts of 1111 to my new phone.

Does anyone have a solution for me?

Thank you very much

Hello

Service packs will not provide compatible Bluetooth. It is an option of hardware on the PC.

You can, however, by a Bluetooth adapter with which you can create a Bluetooth connection.

Here is a list of compatible Bluetooth adapters:

  • Backup and restore will not format disk

I try to use Backup and Restore. When I click on the back of the files, I get a pop-up box that asks me to format the drive. After clicking on the Format, the following pop up box says unsuccessful Format. Sometimes, he also disk write-protected. I use Vista Home Premium and using an optical DVD +/-RW drive. I was unable to find anything on it. Has anyone else had this problem? What I can do. I check all the settings I can. Thanks for any help.

Would you consider investing in an external USB drive and use it as your backup media.  This will work part-time full support until CD as the only hold about 700 MB of data and your hard drive is perhaps in a fit of 250 GB, what amounts to a large number of CD on current prices an external drive will pay for itself within a very short time and you are mucking around with several CD

He needs that a defective CD or an unexpected shutdown to occur and you may lose all your backup met before this type of failure.  If you must use the CD then just use them to backup your important data.  If you need to perform a full restore, it may be faster in the long term to perform a recovery operation by using your installation media rather than feeding in a multitude of CD.

One thing that I met, if you buy the CD on the main roads, is that, if they are not stored properly, at home or in a store, the last few CD inside tend to stick to the neighbor CD, which is not a good thing.

My personal choice is to use a third-party imaging software to back up the entire partition or drive.  I save on a different hard drive installed.  You can use the external hard drive, I tried to sell you.  The entire backup (40 GB) takes about 10 minutes, with a restoration taking around the same time.  I double save my data more valuable, as well, of other external media, like USB, DVD, etc.

  • backup and restore will not upgraded

I'm about to go from 8.1 to 10 & followed a Dell advises pop-up on upgrading the version of BACKUP and RESTORE I want to make sure that I have the system & data backup before you take the leap win10

It's R & B will supposedly start the download to install the upgraded version but then disappears. I checked the Task Manager and I can't follow what happened to R & B. I opened/re-opened several times, but I get the same result.

Please can someone advise? I've been trawling the net for a possible solution without success.

    Hi all

I gave up on the dell system backup B & a. Note there was a premium account.

I did as Okaganafan suggested and backed up my data using Windows history file. I have win8.1 & the system maximum return was not available. But I managed to manually run the Windows Image backup.

I also took a manual backup of my data to an external drive, created an ISO to win 8.1 (just in case).

The win10 upgrade was painless, even if, as expected, it took some time. It has been ~ 24 hours well. Dell B R & updated now too & suggest that do all kinds of disks of backup & recovery. I'll make those soon.

I am really disappointed with the Dell Premium B & r t was no help!

  • Reference Dell backup and restore will not be updated

I have just updated to Windows 8. 1.

When I checked the notifications told me that Dell backup and restore was inconsistent and I needed to re - install. Before all else, I checked the Dell website and it is advisable to update the program by opening and clicking Update.

Unfortunately, when I click on control upgrade tells me that my request is updated according to the picture below.

Is there another way to update the application?

    Go to www.dellbackupandrecovery.com

Uninstall the old version and install new then.

  • Backup and restore does not recognize my external HARD drive.

When I try to use the ms backup and restore it only recogniza my external HARD drive.

Is that possible reinstall or repair?

    Hello daniloalvesmaciel,

Thanks for posting on the Microsoft answers Forum.

First of all, I could check and see if the hard drive is listed on the Windows 7 Compatibility Center. Clickhere for a link to the Compatibility Center. If it's on the Compatibility Center, then check out the web site of the manufacturer for updates or drivers.

Then check if you see the external hard drive in the Device Manager.
    To check these options:

    1. click on the Start button to display the Start Menu , then selectControl Panel .
    2. the Control Panel window opens.
Now click system and security from this window.
    3 Scrollfor Device Manager.
    4. click on the Device Manager.
    5. to view material click on any category and the associated list of installed hardware. For example. Click on hard drives.
Right click on the external hard drive. You can see the different options likeUpdate driver software, disable, uninstall and properties etc.
    6. click on Properties to display the details of the hardware. Click theDriver tab , to view the details of device driver.
    7. then on the software update driver to check and see if you have the latest drivers.

Then check again and see if you can save on the external hard drive.

If this is not the case, try to map a drive to the external drive. Can you back up now.

Please respond and take stock of your problem.

  • backup and restore does not

Backup and restore, used to work. Now I'm going through the implementation and when I hit the Start button, it says "cannot find the specified file".

If the restore point and backup do not work after their creation. Use the File Checker system to repair missing or corrupted system files

If you have already performed the emergency repair process and the computer still not working, you can do an upgrade of existing installation repair/site

If you restore to factory of the reader state Q is created when initialize you Office Starter

BTW save you or Image to the external media, if the drive breaks down (this isn't a head crash) everything on that drive is lost, to the end user.

  • BlackBerry smartphone app error 603 and BBDS does not recognize my device

Here's the situation: the battery ran out on my unit earlier this week. When I started to charge, the unit will start automatically restart. Before restarting, the messages "error app 603' and 'reset' appeared. If I click "reset", the whole process starts again.

The previous messages in the forum I read about 'error app 603' suggested I should restore the device settings or reinstall the operating system. I tried to connect my device to my laptop via USB cable, however the computer will only recognize the connected device with a chime at the beginning of the discount to zero, followed quickly by a chime of disconnection being rebooted. The computer or software Deskstop BlackBerry recognizes the device while it is stuck on the '603 error message' app.

    What else can I try?

Hello and welcome to the community!

Here's a knockout who deals with this error:

For the charging of the OS, you can better use this method... on a PC (you can't do this on MAC):

    (1) make sure you have a current backup and your BB complete... you can find complete instructions via the link in my sig auto below. Sorry, already a moot point counts with the error.

    2) uninstall all the BB OS packages from your PC,

    (3) make sure you have the BB Desktop Software already installed

    (4) download and install on your computer, the BB OS package you want:

    • If all you want are the levels of BONE, it is first sorted by carrier - the carrier supports, your search will be fast. However, some carriers are much slower than others to release updates. To really get the package up-to-date OS for your BB, you need to dig through and find all businesses that support your specific model BB and then compare the BONE levels they support.

    5) remove all copies of the SELLER on your PC. XML... There will be at least one and maybe 2, and they will be located in the same way or to (it changes based on your version of Windows) these files:

    • C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
    • C:\Users\(your Windows username) \AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML

    (6) work around the Desktop software and use the CHARGER. EXE directly, through step 2 in this process:

If, during the process of step 6, your BB presents "507" error, simply unplug the power cord of the BB USB and reinsert it. do nothing else... This should allow the installation to continue.

You can also study the use of BBSAK (bbsak.org) to perform the wipe what he is capable.

You may also use these tips:

If you are on a MAC, you are limited to only your sanctioned carriers OS packages... but can still use any level they currently have to sanction. See this procedure:

  • Backup and restore do not respond

    Hello

I have Windows 7 Professional installed on a Dell laptop computer Vostro (work computer).  We use windows backup backup each laptop, and she recorded this info on our Windows Server 2008.  I had him daily backup, and it had worked well for a long time.  Two months ago it suddenly stopped working.  I went to start the backup manually - through the restore backup dialog &.  I would like to click on the button to say "save now" and the circular icon timer would indicate it was working/thinking for a second, then nothing would happen.  More information - I do not have and have never had Acronis True Image, which is the common cause of this problem based on my research.  I can set up the parameters of the backup-there just never starts the program.  In addition, all the world backups in my office work very well.

So I troubleshoot-made it for a while, and that's what I've done so far:

I checked services - they are on

I looked at the logs for Windows backup - the last entry says he had run February 19, no error and nothing since then.

I have reset the backup & restore via a registry change - problem persists

I tried to do a system restore, but I did not restore from February points (the question started February 19th)

I uninstalled all the programs installed around this date (just google reader & Skype, but I thought at least I could exclude)

    I've done countless restarts

I tried to do a repair of the boot in the boot menu (F8) - once again, nothing.

I don't know what else to try at this point.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you

    Erica

After putting together the newspaper of errors, I looked at Windows backup box in the Task Scheduler, and somehow, he had set up for Windows Vista & Windows Server 2008 instead of Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008.  I changed it to be configured for Windows 7, etc, right click on the name to run now, and it worked!  So I think I am well now.  Thanks :)

    Fix.

However, the database should not be able to recover some data are there in data files and commissioning normally.

This is my question and my concern. I looked for Metalink and couldn't find anything about it.

I want to start the database with all this that data is present after the backup. All the solutions for such a scenario?

If you took an offline backup, you can recover the database to restore all the files and bring services up (without recovery is needed here).

And, as you mentioned "hot backups can be done with noarchivelog and data will be inconsistent.
