  I can customize the ringtone for some contact.  My problem is that the ring works only for calls. It will not change to the texts.  I don't understand that the process or change is the same.  Is there any solution for this?

• BlackBerry 10 Q10 Message text box does not scroll past two lines

  When you type a message in the message text box, the text does not scroll to the 3rd entry line until the line is completed. I find myself typing blind to line 3 of my message until the line 3 is full... then it scrolls to the top and becomes visible in the message text box. Any suggestions?

  Had the same problem.  You must have changed the font size of your device to a point 10 or above fonts.  If you set it to original font size which is 8, it works perfectly again.  IHAVE that mine now set at 9 and it the text field scrolls correctly now.  It must be a bug in Blackberry software so if you read these messages please fix it as I'd rather watch 10-point font.

  I have a Z10 paired with my charger of 2013 with uConnect (RE2).  I can make calls, but I don't get notification of SMS messages through the system.  My old Curve 9360 used to work properly with my Grand Caravan 2012 and uconnect for texting.

  Is there an incompatibility between BB10 and uconnect?

  I have no way of knowing... I don't have a UConnect system, do not not an identical experience. But on my Honda Civic, 2013, everything comes through in the car very well display/voice system. Thus, one could guess that indeed there is an incompatibility between your specific UConnect system and your specific version of the BB10... but, as the KB has suggested to, check the compatibility of Chrysler could be a useful thing to do for you.

  Open the SMS you wish to communicate and touch and hold this message a second which will appear [...] more menu side chose the SHARE icon, then choose Send.

  The share icon is that like a V with balls at the end.

  Just got my Z10 a week ago and I love it.  Figuring a few more of the workings, but I usually enjoy.  Only one strange thing is that in my BB Hub, the "SMS" words are actually in French - 'Text Missatges' and I can't understand how to change it. The rest of my BB is in English.  I tried to change the language of the camera and that did nothing.  I think it might be a software problem?

  Mine was originally in German. I put my English language, even if they already said English and it solved the problem

  I have a text message stuck on unread in the hub and I can't delete it or answer... Done several resets and have the latest version of the software.

  The problem solved even after several attempts trying to remove texts and using end of conversation inside the texts with several reboots.

  At one point I couldn't even remove any text, new or old.

  Then everything seemed to work and now I can re-use the text and delete the 'old'.

• BlackBerry Z10 incapable of as "SMS" text appears frozen on contact

  Periodically my text "freezes" on a certain contact.   When I exit and press another, initial contact appears without history of text (name on it and gray on the screen).   It does allow me to send or receive text messages.   This happens at least twice a week and can be 'frozen' up to 24 hours.   I tried to restart and messages of compensation.  All other functions seem to work except for "login required" e-mail happens randomly.

  Having the same problem with mine. Only reasonable answer I have is the phone will not automatically delete text messages and there is unfortunately no feature that will do that. When you open the text message chat, he tries to load all messages that you have had with this contact, and if it was a lot then it seems to be "frozen". Mine did not come to the point where it will freeze for 24 hours, it would be the last 15-20 minutes and then will load messages. My recommendation is to delete the conversation with that person and then you experience this problem. I guess this would work but I tried I wouldn't lose rather all messages, I like to keep the recent posts, but get rid of the old, which cannot be done. It's either delete all or nothing. You can make the paniful process to delete each message one at a time and then just keep recent messages, but it would be a tedious process.

  My Z10 won't restart. It gets stuck on blue screen after trying to remove the battery. Have also tried long-pressing the power button with volume keys simultaneously.

  I had to use the BlackBerry link to reload the software. That reset the handset to factory default - I then did a software upgrade. Phone seems to work fine except it will reboot now and again... I give up!

• BlackBerry Z10 Unread messages becoming 'read' before reading!

  We will have a problem with a Z10 BlackBerry where marked as "unread" messages (i.e. "BOLD" text with yellow envelope) and then after a while (don't know exactly how long), they become 'read', even when they have not been opened.

  Of course, it is therefore difficult to ensure that all messages are read.

  Is there a setting that needs to be changed, or is it some sort of glitch?

  Depending on your server configuration (pop, imap, activesync, etc), you will get different results.

  In General, if you experience this problem, then something somewhere is significant 'read' on the server, it is not the Z10.

  There is some info in this thread on this, I had the same problem and it is resolved by changing all clients (Z10, playbook and outlook) for IMAP access. Now I have a full synchronization between all devices and it's great.

  The older Blackberrys used BIS, which is not used on the Z10. BIS has done a good job to hide all these "issues" that we see now with access different e-mail server configurations, but learning of the 'new way' will actually give you better reconciliation once you get it all sorted.

Now I use z10 I like it even more, as a great tool and it has many other uses, but the other day I received a spam message from a pornographic site.   Looking through the settings, I found parental controls, I put and so far seems to work. Great tools more reason to love him.

  When you type a message, I sometimes see an Insert Word (green) governing the space key that prevent me from using it.  I can't continue and eventually accept the suggestion of incorrect word and then to remove it so that I can continue.  Please tell us how to get around this problem. It is very annoying.

  Just to add, there is a personal dictionary where you can add words in option. I built this. You can also disable the automatic text feature. Some people did as well. I prefer to use the automatic text feature. Built in help section in the phone has information about how to use the function comes out and use the options.

  Sorted it, thanks to vodafone. After 2 unsuccessful calls to vodafone, I got on their site and submitted to support, configure your phone, I found that the url of the proxy was not on the phone. After changing to the recommended settings, it sends and receives mms without problems. All sorted.
