Bluetooth and Satellite M40

I have a question:

My M40-265 Satellite has had the opportunity to connect with other machines of Bluetooth?
If this is not the case, how can I do this? How it would be to handle this?

Nick

Hello

Unfortunately, there is no Bluetooth this device.
In this case, you can use a Bluetooth USB adapter or an of Bluetooth PCMCIA card.
For example:

    Hello Imran

It will be interesting to know what unit should be connected to your device (mobile phone, printer). I hope that use you the FN + F8 key combination to activate the Bluetooth connection. If the Bluetooth connection is enabled you can start a wizard and search for other Bluetooth devices.

    Hello

one question: are you sure that a bluetooth module is physically installed in your system? It would be very interesting, because if you have not installed modules then it s self explaining that no bluetooth hardware is listed in your device manager.

I googled a bit autour and discovered, that your machine is not equipped bluetooth when shipped from the factory, so I think you really need to know if you have installed.

    Welcome them

  • Bluetooth and Satellite L10 144

I bought one L10-144, a laptop up. Now, I also had a Nokia 6230i, with Bluetooth. No blue tooth in my notebook. I also do not want a stick at the back of my laptop.

    Hello

As far as I know that the Bluetooth is not available on your device. In this case if you do not want to use Bluetooth technology, you will need to use the device Bluetooth (Bluetooth USB key). Sorry but in this case you don t have another option.

  • Satellite M40 - 114 bluetooth systemboard question

    Hi all

I have question regardin my bluetooth and the motherboard.

Center of Service Toshiba has replaced the motherboard in my laptop.
I can't turn on my bluetooth for the replacement of the motherboard. FN + F8 doesn't work and bluetooth stack reports ' bluetooth device is not ready ". reinstalled XP via orginal Toshiba CD-ROM. But does not help.

I discovered something strange, is that in the software sis sandra 2005, my laptop is reconignezed by satellite A40 PSA40U. They replace the motherboard with an old model? This could be the reason why the bleutooth no longer works?

Your help/advice is necessary. Thanks in advance

    Hi phyl

As much as I know Satellite M40-114 doesn't have Bluetooth and I can't understand this before the replacement of the Board of Directors the Bluetooth system was on board. I know that the M40-193 has a Bluetooth.

  • Satellite M40-225: confused about Bluetooth

You just bought a Satellite M40-225. Checked forum for issues of bluetooth but, to be honest, I got a little confused!

Basically I want to use bluetooth and guess I need some kind of adapter. Suggestions? Need to download drivers or anything like that too?

More... (!), I have a PowerMac G5 and airport network wireless broadband BT Yahoo. Is it possible to connect my new PC to a network of MAC - or is it the Devil's own work?

    Thank you

    Hello

Satellite M40 has no Bluetooth. This means that you must buy a USB BT's key. It's not expensive and installation is very simple. Usually, if you buy the one that you will get the software CD. Before installing any software, check if your unit has installed Bluetooth stack.

I'm sure you will find battery Bluetooth for Windows by Toshiba V3.10.00 on your device. In the control panel check Add and Remove Programs option. List all the installed components.

    Good luck!

  • Re: Bluetooth hardware not detected on Satellite M40-145

    Hello

I recently changed the HD of my Satellite M40-145. I have successfully used the recovery CD, office etc, and now everything seems to work fine... All except the Bluetooth, it is not detected (this laptop has a Bluetooth chip internal). It does not appear on the Device Manager list. I was reading some FAQ in the web of Bluetooth Toshiba and tried to install it again Toshiba Bluetooth Stack but there is still not detected. Any idea?, any solution?

Thanks in advance for your attention (and I apologize for my bad English)

If your laptop is preinstalled with original recovery image please activate the BT module (WLAN WIFI switch must be ON, and then use the FN + F8 key combination) and I hope that BT's standard installation starts automatically.

When you are finished Device Manager check again. The components of BT enabled and installed should appear correctly.

  • Satellite M40-185 - Bluetooth is not ready - can not use

    I have the Satellite M40-185

I cann't use bluetooth. The problem is:
At the opening of all programs--> Toshiba--> bluetooth--> bluetooth settings--> selection of menu bluetooth--> add new connection, a pop up appears with a msg "Bluetooth is not ready", then the bluetooth icon appears in the status bar.

BUT I still cann't use Bluetooth.

ALSO, when I open--> open device Bluetooth PCMCIA card Manager, a window appears with a button asking me to install a program.

What is it and where can I find it?
Do you think that this is the problem?

In your case, I recommend using a simply external USB Bluetooth key.
It of easy to use and the installation is very simple.

  • Satellite M40 - format and install NO CD from recovery

    Hello
I need to format the hard drive and install XP Pro SP2 on my Satellite M40 - 239 (pre installed XP HE). How do we install the Express Media Player? Do I need to do before installing with my own XP disks? The Express Media recovery disk reformat the hard disk and let me choose the size of the partition etc.? Or should I first install XP SP2 (not from the recovery disk, it is my own), then the media player? And how do I install all of the tools supplied preinstalled in the factory? On the product recovery disc, it seems there is no installation of software for them, am I stuck with XP it if I want to keep the tools (Bluetooth, ConfigFree etc.)?

    Hello

Well, the drivers needed on the Toshiba page you will find:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/download_drivers_bios.jsp
Please also check out this other post:
    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=8872

    On the express media player:

Should at least 150-200 MB of available free space on the HARD drive.
This free space must be on the end of the HARD drive and there must be unallocated.
To get this space available on party products 3rd HARD drive must be used.

Secondly, I am used to use the F keys in Microsoft word and using shortcut General but my laptop has additional on the F - keys command as the F4 is for LCD and so on, thus, making it difficult to use the original commands. Is there a way I can turn it off?

Looking forward to your prompt response.
    Thank you.

    > I had a portable C850D-107 Satellite as a gift, but I discovered that there is no driver bluetooth inside.

No all laptops are equipped with a BT module or feature and the C850D-107 Satellite can't internal BT

You can use the special function key mode which allows you to use the function keys without pressing the FN key. This can be changed _in BIOS_ (F2->-> Advanced tab-> System Configuration-> special function mode key in BIOS)
