  Question you seems to be related to a software problem.
  Therefore, I doubt that installation of the OS would be covered by the warranty.
  You should order the recovery disk and must attempt to define the notebook back to factory settings.

  I could get the computer provided the factory. Fortunately I had an about four inches of screen on the right side of the built-in screen. I could open the HP Recovery Manager, and then drag the screen where I was able to make the appropriate selections. I have a keyboard and wireless mouse and hung the laptop to a TV flat screen 42 inch.

Because PC world could not afford to keep replacing each time a computer laptop full and nobody could not afford to continue to pay £250 to get the screen fixed.
