Original title: Blue error screen bad pool caller on the shutdown of Windows XP.

    Hi all

I have a small problem here. Sometimes when I stop my windows, instead of going through close, it just gives an error of BSOD BAD_POOL_CALLER 0x0000000C2.

Windows XP SP3 THAT starts fine everytime. Works very well, once started. I can connect to the internet, play games, watch movies, run software development and nothing bad happens. But as soon as the stop, sometimes (actually often) the BAD_POOL_CALLER error.

    1. I tried updates of windows xp. Windows is quite up-to-date now.
    2. I tried to update hardware drivers. All the drivers are now updated.

But still at the stop, I get the BSOD with the bad pool caller.

Moreover, before any error don't like this used for pop - up. So, I doubt it, if it's a hardware problem. But always welcome one of your suggestions. (Also, I have an another operating system installed and no error like this pop up on this side!)

I tried to search the Internet, even asked people on IRC, etc., but most people encounter errors like this during the installation of windows or during start upward. Unlike me, where I get this error on SHUT DOWN.

    Thank you very much

    Hi nancyngoyi,

You can try to download the latest drivers from the HP site. Later, check to see if the problem persists.

    Hello Janiszz,

I did some more looking in the aipkbflt driver, and it seems that there are incompatibilities with a special Pool.  That being said, we should really look into a version that hopefully will be compatible with our current settings.

It may be necessary for you to contact IBM about what they are the creators of this driver.

    Best regards

  • Two BSOD. I can boot my computer even in "Safe Mode".

Since this morning I am trying to start my Windows XP, but I am not able to do. I had two different BSOD BAD_POOL_CALLER, STOP: 0x000000C2 and STOP: 0 x 00000024. The computer does not start even in "safe" mode What can I do?

    Hello

    • What were the changes made before the issue occur?

I suggest that you try to start the Recovery Console from the Windows XP CD Windows and run CHKDSK.

    Here is the link:

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/314058

    Warning of Chkdsk.

Important:  If all available hard disk data can be lost when running chkdsk, as the chkdsk attempts to repair the affected area.

  • Computer guard restart - Stop 0xC2... BAD_POOL_CALLER

I tried to disable the auto reboot. I get this BSOD BAD_POOL_CALLER = * STOP: OxOOOOOOC2 (OxCF8F9OOO, OxOOOOOO43, OxOOOOOOOO, OxOOOOOOOO)

    Hi BillHein,

    • Did you the latest changes on the computer?

Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer except the mouse and keyboard, check if it helps.

    Method 1

Check if the computer may start in the last known good configuration and safe mode, post back with the result.

How to start your computer by using last good known Windows XP Configuration

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/307852

A description of the options to start in Windows XP Mode

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/315222

    Method 2

If the problem does not persist in safe mode, then it is possible that some third-party programs installed on the computer is causing the problem.

I suggest that you configure the computer in a clean boot state and check if it helps.

To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows XP by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

See section to learn more about how to clean boot.

How to configure Windows XP to start in a "clean boot" State

Ativa AT-52N13 card reader worked fine until I installed the update from the window: ITE-other hardware - UMass Storage Device (330).  As soon as the card reader is connected I get a BSOD: BAD_POOL_CALLER.  Windows stopped not to damage your computer.

The update is not listed in Add / Remove programs.  I don't know which driver I should delete.   Ativa, Office Depot, does not list the drivers for this device on their website and have been zero help.  Cannot find how to remove this update of any resource of Microsoft.  Any help would be appreciated.

I am a voluntary Peace Corps working in southern Africa and the internet leaves a lot to be desired (but hey, I internet!) and I just hope to get this BSOD error resolved for my colleague. Here is the link to my .dmp file

    Thank you for your time.

first of all, you need to update to win 8.1 * this might solve the problem but if you can not it was related to bScsiSDa.sys SD 3.0 Controller of Broadcom Corporation I remove the current driver and install the latest driver available.

  • Security tool virus causes corruption OS

I just got the security tool virus. Looked up how to get rid of it and manually the files deleted and restarted my computer to see if it worked... Try to load windows xp pro and I get a file \WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEM is missing or damaged. So, I'll get my windows disk and insert it. Run recovery... get a BSOD BAD_POOL_CALLER. What can I do to fix this and get my computer actually to run again?

Have not changed anything on my computer in the past months. This just happened this evening after I got this virus.

Tried to start recovery again, tried to do it on my c drive just to see what would happen. It worked but me is not good because the OS is on d.

    Reign21,
Thanks for posting with us.  Here's the first thing I would say.

Disconnect all external devices (printers, USB hubs, USB keys, etc.) and then start.

If this solves the problem, then add back devices at a time until you discover the piece of hardware causing the issue.  Then get any drivers\software update for the device.

Also this error can be caused by memory problems.  If you have several RAM sticks, then you can remove half of them and try to run Setup again. Mike - Engineer Support Microsoft Answers

  • Bad Pool Caller error win8.1 Lenovo ThinkPad2

Since the upgrade to 8.1, I suffered the BSOD bad_pool_caller error. The Tablet originally came with trial of McAfee anti-virus that I removed to replace with ZoneAlarm; Then, I downloaded and ran the program to delete McAfee dll from their site - no help.

I found a thread on this in the communities of Lenovo who blamed the video driver. Yesterday (11/14) I followed the instructions to download Intel_CLV_installer_PR7_A05_CRT47_ZPE.zip on the Dell site and install which was the previous version of the driver - 9.14.3.1130. S. still broken.

    My upload is https://skydrive.live.com/redir?resid=92D08A5C781B25AE! 645 & authkey =! AO7XzD4oY6tcH-Q

Please, analyze and I would like to know what the problem is.

    Thank you

Thanks for the advice and knowledge.

ATER, remove all traces of Kaspersky and following the instructions below, I could get a stable installation of ZoneAlarm.

    1. download the latest ZA 12 version http://server.iad.liveperson.net/hc/...10&action=view
    <== click="">

    2. remove your current version of ZA (running XP Windows Add/Remove Programs/Windows 7/8 uninstall a program)

    3. remove other security tools installed. Use http://www.appremover.com/ to check a second time with no left overs are present.

    4. clean your system and registry with the free Ccleaner.exe
    free CCleaner<= click="">

    5. download to your desktop and run the ZA removal tool.<= click="">
Now restart computer after you run the ZA removal tool.

    6. now install the latest version of ZA without touching all of the default settings,
and do not restore the settings of the old installation.

Help me I have a user who continues the BSOD errors above: (.)  Windows 7 Professional, I have reset the bios of the user as one in November indicated that it was a problem with overclocking and through various driver updates.  When I started working here, she had one for his video card driver which I corrected.  Now she has started to have these, if my research is it's his Intel Wireless NIC

I also ran memtest86 and it found no errors at all.

Why you run Windows update to check if all the drivers are available Toshiba drivers? Use only the drivers of Toshiba. What drivers did you updated?

Have you installed something that may be responsible for BSOD?
Have you tried to roll back the OS before starting?

Sorry for all these questions. I put t had time to check debugs and don t think that anyone here will take time to study this, but I don t think this BSOD are caused by Toshiba software.

Download BSOD Viewer. Check which driver is causing the BSOD

  • Blue Blue screen (BSOD) / cannot run safe mode / last known configuration / normal mode

    Hello

Depending on the subject, I tried to put it on my laptop relatively old (I use it for work only) after the shooting he goes out and were suddenly brought to the page. Now I'm stuck with BSOD and tried to fix it for the last 2 hours.

I don't know what happened and I'm not good in it issues so I read a few posts on the BSOD issues to try to help out me, but nothing helped. By far, I tried to run the start-up test (running / hard disc as well) under the system of diagnosis and he returned with Start-up Test  Passed. I tried to run several times as suggested by some other forumers here but still does not work.

Here are the specs / error prompts:

    Error message - BAD_POOL_CALLER

    Product number - NS136UC #ABA

    OS - WINDOWS XP

I'd be grateful if someone would be able to help solve the problems. I have attached the BSOD page if it helps.

    TIA

    Bredd

    Hello

Most of the time the appellant Bad Pool is the result of a damaged or defective hard drive, or it may be also that the RAM is having issues, you say you ran a test drive and it passes, so for me, it could be a case that the RAM (memory) is damaged and or has failed.  All I can say is that if you open the lower compartment of your laptop and you will find the stick/sticks of RAM (memory), if you have 2 sticks of memory remove one of your machine and see if the machine starts correctly, if not then remove the other module and re - install the module that you deleted at the beginning and see if the machine starts correctly. To remove the RAM of your machine, you will see two small metal clips on part and the other part of memory them (pushing left and right left on the right side) memory will raise slightly gently pull toward you and remove the crack, NB Please be aware that when you re-install the memory, you will notice a small notch in the RAM slot and a small cut on the cylinder itself make sure that they match before installing.  Let me know how you go...
