• PX6 - 300 d - double Raid 1 is not possible?

  Hi guys, I hope I'm missing something, so I'm tender hand to support community. I've had a px6 for awhile now. I love. Works very well with VMWare hypervisors. I've been running a RAID 1 and a RAID 5 for over a year without any problems.

  Now, my needs have changed. I run 2 raid-1 matrices. I deleted my raid-5 array and don't see Ano option in the list to create another Raid-1. Why is this? I see raid-10, but not what I need. Just another Raid-1.

  In my case, I need to divide the disk IO system in another array of disks in raid1. Simply becoming the current Raid1 is not enough, because there a lot of requests for e/s which should not weigh down the second raid-1 array. I need raid1 because of the performance and the protection it offers.

  Can someone comment on the creation of another array of Raid-1? I hope that I don't need to buy another NAS compete for this task.

  Figured it out. There is a bug in the GUI. Once you have 1 raid-1 array configured, there is no option to create an another raid-1 array. BUT, if you select a new table and set of raid-10, it can reset to raid-1 on the creation. I have now 2 tables separated from Raid1 created by doing it this way. They are NOT wiped off of mirrors raid-10.

• Connect button does not

  Hi all

  I have recently installed 12_1 client so I 11.1 and 12_1, although I don't know if this could cause this problem.

  When I click on the connection button on sql developer that worked well the last time I have different connections that are

  by working now however if I try to add another it just times out without the GUI where you can put in the user/port/pw/etc

  Its really strange. Like I said its a long time that I set up a connection, but it is only two steps am I missing something?

  I installed SQL dev 4 and 3.2 I tried several dev with the same result... but I've known why thought that I should post here because it seems a rare problem, I know not due to the fact that I have installed 2 customers.

  How I put them up is in the tnsnames.ora file using

  IFILE = 'D:\location. '

  so that both clients can use the same tnsnames file and that works very well for customers.

  But for some reason any SQL Developer gets confusing, even if you don't need customer, she always tries to recover the tnsnames file.

  I guess because its in the environments and SQL developer seeks automatically, so send a bug in the GUI so that no new connections can be established. Whenever I delete or comment out the IFILE in tnsnames.ora Viola! It is brought back online.

• The upgrade to skyline view

  In preparation for our upgrade to the Horizon, I seek to remove some legacy servers that we no longer use.  There are a total of four connection servers (Svr1, Svr2, Svr3, Svr4) howerver the only one which is actively used is Srv2.  I'm trying to remove the three servers for connection of unnused using the following KB:

  To summarize:

  1. uninstall the connection of the view and the ADAM instance

  2. starting at the server which will stay in the Group of the replica (Srv2), run the following command:

  "C:\Program VMware View\Server\tools\bin\vdmadmin.exe" s - r s server_name

  I finished the two steps.  When I run the command in step 2 I get the message:

  "The connection to the specified server has been schedule for the withdrawal of this configuration."

  Great!  Thus, it seems to have worked!  The problem is that when I go to the administration page-> servers-> connection view servers

  I see again the four servers, whereas it should now only of a left.  I tried to restart the connection view service but this does not remove the legacy servers.  If the servers are really planned for removal, what should I do to trigger actually deleted?

  We found this one.  Looks like a really weird bug in the GUI.  Once we have enabled servers--> servers--> view connection server administration page they simply disappeared on their own.  Is there any where that I can report this as a bug?  Other people will probably encounter this in their upgrade process.

  with InDesign CS5.5, we have the ability to control the pixelation and position options for XHTML and EPUB export. (Object-> Object Export Options). Is it possible to access these Options via the Script? He should hang out with PageItem, but I can't find.

  I was looking for ObjectExportOptions these are only the properties of SplineItem, GraphicLine, group, oval, polygon, Rectangle and NOT TextFrame/PageItem. Seems like a Bug in the GUI, I'm able to add Export Options to a Textframe.

• GUI bug with xp Windows versus windows classic style?

  I just realized that the GUI I built with CVI 9.0 is different depending on the style of Windows display: laboratory style buttons with little space between them in the stick style XP together in a classic style; I only look if the buttons to expand or move, but actually I think that the size of the buttons and placement should be the same regardless of the end user of style applies. I missed something?

  I think you may be referring to the Visual difference between style Windows and non Windows-style buttons, as in attached photo. Technically, the buttons are the same size. They react to the mouse input in exactly the same area, and if you select in the user interface editor, you will notice that the edge of the selection is exactly the same. The difference is only in the way in which they are drawn, which belongs to the Windows API, calling us to draw them into a given rectangle. The Windows style buttons to draw a border of 1 pixel within the control boundaries. Which, with rounded corners can cause significant visual separation when they are aligned right next to each other, but don't you generally not noticeable.

• [Bug report] Problem of GUI localization: point comma vs

  In the Aspect ratio map highlighted Image (perhaps other same type of form field)

  In france, the separator is a comma: 1:1, 5 in English, it's a point 1: 1.5 and the field manage localized preference is not possible to use a point as separator, if the GUI language is set to french.

  The preview of the layout is not updated is that we use comma, and I don't think that the framework is save properly if I use the comma in french MISTLETOE.

  Another little pb occure. "Overview" in french is "found" when you export the App done in preview, the C is displayed in UTF8 entities: % C3% A7

  I think I'll stay in English (us) for a while to avoid unexpected behavior ;-)

• Using GUI to truncate - wrong table 09.87 - bug 3.2.20.09 build HAND-

  Here's what I run into with this version of SQL developer. I can repeat this question every time with these steps.
  
  Connections, open a connection, tables in the list.
  
  Right-click on the table, select the privileges - Grant. Select the user ID, the actions and apply. (you do not need to take these steps, simply go through the motions)
  At this point, it doesn't matter if I stay in this connection or select another connection.
  
  Select another table by clicking on it so that it opens a new tab.
  Select Actions - Table - truncated.
  
  At this point you can expect the pop-up to display the table as you try to make a decision on, you are presented with the final table that you took measures to privilege on what is. This will open even a connection closed for these measures.
  
  So, if you don't pay attention, you're about to truncate the table hard!
  
  I am also able to repeat this with 3.1.07.42 where you are presented with the final table passed you by the movements of the privileges. (you don't have to take action.

• Text of the address bar in Safari (GUI Bug) overlay

  Today, I have problems with the Safari address bar.

  Direct search through the address bar does not work.

  I can open the first site that I type in. After that, when I select the address bar, the former Web site title will remain as I type. I can repeat that these steps and all text will be overlap in the address bar. No Web site can be opened with Safari. Below a screenshot of my address bar.

• Satellite A-C50-1JQ - GUI does not not on Ubuntu 12.04

  I bought a new laptop Toshiba Satellite C50-A-1JQ and I am unable to run any GUI under Ubuntu 12.04 LTS or 13.04 (the same thing happens to initiate a LiveUSB and for an installed system).

  After you start the screen goes black (as if he died) and I can't do anything, but I guess for the system to load normally (I can still hear the standard Ubuntu splash screen sound). By including the parameter 'nomodeset' in Grub, I am able to run the system order of ATS online, but any attempt to run the unit, startx fails etc. (I get an error message indicating that no screen was found).

  The laptop uses Intel HD Graphics and I think (I don't know if) this could be a problem with the graphics driver, but could not find anything useful on the internet (I watched almost all the possible discussions relating to this type of problem and most people claim that including 'nomodeset' or "acpi_osi = linux" in Grub should work or that the default drivers should be OK but none work for me).

  Any help would be appreciated.

  Your problem is a little unusual.
  Have you checked if Windows has generated a normal display when starting before moving to Ubuntu?
  If that were the case, this problem may be due to a strange compatibility issue.

  What happens if you attach a monitor/TV HDMI connected to your pc before you start and then try to start it again?

  If it produces a piture (on HDMI connected display) then I suggest create you a bug report on bugzilla Ubuntu.

  Several possibilities:

  (a) 'HPNetworkCheckPluginx64.dll' must exist in the installation directory, but through file system corruption disappeared at some point.  Assume a repair of HP Support Solutions Framework via Control Panel-> programs would be a low-risk action except that a repair action is not available for the supported Solution itself.  < editorial deleted comment >

  (b) ' HPNetworkCheckPluginx64.dll' was a part of the previous version of a Solution of support and was eliminated as part of the recent upgrade mentioned above, but the upgrade was not designed to perform or has not completed hygiene register of good practices of update or deleting keys holding the now obsolete paths.  The outdated paths in the registry for a software that usually runs with high privilege offer delicious security holes.  In addition, since this element is a helper Bowser IE, presumed IE interaction with the Support Solution is broken.  I tried not to find this because I avoid IE.

  (c) error compiling Solution support: Support of the Solution package install content file (path model stubs) is not a cross-validated against the registry editing functions and editing the registry data have a typo of file name.

• Common bug Variable programming read/Open Timeout

  I hope someone else has a preview of the question that I see when you use a network I/O published variable or static variable in general.

  There seems to be a bug when accessing variables shared by programming.  In the image below, I'm trying to access a shared variable hosted on a crio remotely.  In both cases I access the same shared variable on a crio which has been disconnected from the network.

  In the top box, the variable will be constantly timeout to 100 ms, when you use a shared variable node.  However, under the bottom, the time-out period is still 5000 ms even if I put it at 100.   There seems to be a 5000ms internal timeout in the service of programming for shared access even when you use the functions 'Reading Variable with Timeout' and ' Open Variable and check.  The Vi "Open Variable shared in the background" does not solve the problem either.  Time-out settings seem to have no effect if the network is disconnected when first login.  It is a huge problem if I opened a GUI and the network connection is disconnected.  All my demons using these variable slow to a crawl, because I can't specify a timeout.

  

  Not only that, but the vi is not reentrant and block.  So if I'm variable opening in several places, for example when using networks of actors, they all block series and create a bottleneck of the HUGE network.

  I hope that someone has experienced this same problem and has a way to go around.  At the moment I plan everything to use the TCP/IP protocol instead of rewriting shared or I/O variables.  Or establishing another layer that my calls them to the individual cards shared variables nodes.

  It's always a pain shared variable nodes are MUCH less flexible than with programmatic access.  In addition, I am also using an Ethernet add-on and I have to use shared variables to read data from the modules that there is no real time running on top.  Thank you

  Thanks for the tip.  I had used the SHOUT library in the past, but he had forgotten.  This ended up being the solution to my problem.  I still think programmatic options for shared variables need to be a little more flexible, but I worked around it.

  In the library the CRY, there is a CRY Get Remote cRIO controller of information within this VI is an another VI cri_RT controller of Ping.  It is the function key that I ended up using.  I just a super short deadline on the function and check for an error before opening a shared variable connection.

  

• the label bug

  CVI 9.0 (and XP64 using a GUI generated by the GUI editor, a problem), occurs if the attribute ATTR_CTRL_MODE of a control is changed programmatically from VAL_HOT to VAL_INDICATOR. In the user interface, the control mode is set as HOT. The problem is that the position of the label is shifted to the left in mode INDICATOR. changing the value hot translates the (starting) position. This happens for the digital controls and ring (I have not tried others). Thus the offbeat label may overlap other controls.

  I can't say if it is specific to the CVI 9.0, as usually, I build my controls programmatically. This time, I used the GUI editor for a faster test version...

  Also, I found no opportunity to present such problems/bugs that this forum. Is this the right place?

  It is perfectly acceptable to submit bug reports in this forum.

  Floating labels are associated with the bulk of a control in a way such that when the part master changes position, the label is automatically repositioned. You see, for example, when you move a control and label moves with him. What happens when you change a digital or ring indicative control is that the inc/dec arrows on the left of the control disappear, and the entrance area of the control (which is the main part of control) grows to the left to fill the empty space. This movement to the left of this part of the command results in a label which is on the left side of the control (as opposed to, say, the top of the control) to also shift to the left in order to maintain the same distance from the main part. By the way. This does not happen only when you change the mode of control programmatically. You can also see if edit you in the editor.

  The solution for this is to save the position of the label (ATTR_LABEL_LEFT) before changing the control mode and then set it to the same position, after having changed the command mode.

  I agree entirely that there is a scenario in which most people would probably not consider the label to move, since the control as a whole is not really 'growing up '. But because the association between the label and a specific part of the control, and because this part is increasing, so this behavior occurs as a result.

  Because this behavior has always existed, even if we considered undesirable, that we couldn't really change at this stage, from now on, it is very likely that there are programs that have come to rely on it and change the behavior would break backwards compatibility.
