Button Care on SL500 Lenovo

When I press my button Lenovo Care, the Lenovo Care box came and I can choose one of the quick links. However, nothing in the resource centre works. The pointer indicates that you can click on the options, but when you do nothing to everything that happens. Any help would be appreciated.

Greg

Just on a whim, I dragged the Lenovo Care box away from the side of my screen. When I mouse over one of the tabs Resource Center, the options on each tab comes off the box on the left, which has been off the screen where he was. If I disable a program called autosizer, everything works fine. Now to find out why.

  • 15 + minute delay before start-up

    Hey people,

My Info: I am running Vista Ultimate 32 bit on a Lenovo ThinkPad X 200 Tablet machine.

My problem: it is pretty well summed up by the title to my son: restart or turn on my computer, the power light comes on, but wait at least 15 minutes before starting the system. Once it starts booting, everything works smoothly.

It all started when I used the blue ThinkVantage button on my ThinkPad (Lenovo users will know what I mean, it's basically Lenovo system maintenance tool) to download updates for my machine, including some BIOS stuff.  I'm suspicious that this has to do with my BIOS, but I wanted to hear what you guys have to say before I start shooting around my BIOS.

I could really use some help here, I'm more frustrated.

Thanks in advance for any help you can give me, and I apologize if this isn't the right place to put this.  I tried Lenovo support forums and got no help, and I really don't want to spend the money it will take to Geek Squad or similar to fix.

    Thank you

    Chris

    Finally, I solved the problem.

As it turns out, what I thought was a problem unrelated to finish up being the root for this cause.

After booting, I get the warning: "there was a problem connecting to the module of TPM (safety device) on this computer.  It is possible that the software anti-virus or firewall is blocking the connection.  A missing or disabled device driver can also cause this problem.  Please refer to the online documentation for more information. »

It turned out that when I've updated my BIOS, one of the security programs that initialize during startup until was not updated correctly.

Fix: go to the Lenovo Web site and update the Client Security Solution.  This one worked for me: http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?lndocid=MIGR-69959.

  • X 220 work dosent thinkVantage

Hi I have a Lenovo thinkpad X 220-4286 with Win7 64 bit and lately the capslock light display, volume, has stopped working.

I tried to find the right drivers for it but I can't.

now when I press the blue thinkVantage botton its been nothing so FN plus other blue painted buttons.

How can I solve this problem? what drivers/software do I need to install

    Thank you

    Ok
still one thing to operate the Fn + combinations of keys and control keys - Power Management Driver must be installed.

Blue button ThinkVantage works if Lenovo Rescue & Recovery application is installed.

Have you installed a fresh win7 or is a factory installation?

  • x220t - conversion to tablet mode go to the portrait

How can I disable the portrait mode?  Since the upgrade to Windows 8, I downloaded and installed new drivers.  One of them got the job so that I can rotate the screen and convert to the tablet of orientation, but I want to go only to the landscape reversed (without having to press the button to change it).

I've already put the 'choose the order in which your screen turns' be set to ONLY modes two landscape.  It works for the button, but any driver Lenovo supports change of screen orientation when the joint is rotated is ignoring these parameters.

    Well, this problem is solved.

Throw "Menu contextual Tablet" Windows 8 start screen does not work.  This application has a strange problem I really did not occur in other applications.  When else it gets the focus of Windows, he kills himself.  Thus, the new start in Windows 8 lance screen this application and then restores focus on the desktop in order to make the application visible.  This causes the app to kill himself before a user can never see it!  Dear Lenovo, if you please correct it.  It's silly.  Let just the app stay on the screen until the closing like any other application.

    The work around:

Right click on the shortcut for "Tablet Shortcut Menu", and then click 'Open file location' in the menu at the bottom of the screen.  Double-click the shortcut to the folder that is opened in Windows desktop view. You can also run the executable file directly.  For my PC, it is located in the:

    "C:\Program Files (x 86) \ThinkPad\Tablet.

Now, to change the setting of the auto-rotation, I was looking for:

Click settings.  Under the subheading of the Automatic Screen Rotation (which should be checked) I had to choose "secondary landscape".  Voila, no more mode switch portrait when the screen is rotated to tablet mode - it goes to the secondary landscape (180 degree rotation).

  • How can I optimize my battery health? I am technologically challenged.

    1. I'm a fool to the computer. 2. my laptop Lenovo "told me" I should use "Battery optimized Mode health" because of the way I use my computer.  How do I do that? Where do you change the battery health optimized mode?

I had the same opinion also. I found the way to do it. If you have not yet changed, you can follow this.

    1. click on the battery icon in the taskbar next to the date and time.
    2. click on "more power Options.
    3. "change plan settings".
    4. change advanced power settings
    5. There are two tabs when you click on this button. It said "Advanced settings" and the other says "Lenovo energy management." click on this last one that says "Lenovo energy management."
    6. click on the button that says "activate Lenovo Energy Management."
    7. you can see "Battery optimized" a second button of radiohead.
    8. you can leave right after.
    I hope this helps.

Read this article, your requirement is similar, but you don't need to pick up the selected line, rather an iteration in all available lines.

    Hello

Tell me if it works well for you too.

  • Lenovo Care button + F11 doesn't work do not

    Hello.

I have a 3000 N200 that I just replaced the HARD drive on.  I've used Norton Ghost to clone the old drive to the new, and there are a few problems to get XP to start later.  I found a few tips elsewhere that said I have to operate the system upward with an XP installation disc and Run fixmbr in the recovery console, which did not work because the XP installation couldn't find any HARD drive - although it is properly parsed by the BIOS.  Then I tried to boot from a W98 boot disk and running fdisk/mbr. He finds the HARD drive, but still no joy.  Then I used W98 fdisk to look at the drive and discovered that the service partition showed that the partition is active then I used fdisk to set the XP partition active.  Who has worked; I can boot XP now without problem.  However, if I press the Lenovo Care button, I get the option but screen by selecting F11 does not the system go into recovery mode.  After a few seconds it starts right in XP.  I was wondering if the W98 fdisk/mbr crushed something specific Lenovo in the mbr, which is the cause to happen and if there is a way to get the service back 'just in case '.

    TIA

There are two options on the diskette; one, I think, he said "try this first" and the other will recognize the mbr as non-Lenovo mbr. Have you tried the first option first, then the second option?

Otherwise, I don't know, maybe it's that the ghosts didn't give something correctly? Did you use the switch of the ib in Ghost?

If you search the forum for "ib switch" (with ""), you should find plenty of information relevant If it's a review.

    Edit; involuntary smiley corrected

Original title: Lenovo SL500 Windows Vista crashed with STOP error message and won't start

    Hello peoples,
I just installed an iMicro Bluetooth adapter on my computer, and then I wanted to restart my computer. When I turned it on, loading like regular until right after the Vista loading screen, when the Blue Screen of Death (a blue screen with an error on this subject) flashed for about 1/2 second and then restarted my computer. Then he asked me if I wanted to load startup repair or simply start WIndows normally and I chose to start WIndows normally, but it's the same thing, so when the computer is restarted again, I chose the Startup Repair. He said that if I inserted an external device in my computer for me to remove it. But I had no external devices in my computer at the same time! I already pulled the iMicro adapter! So when my computer restarted again, I pressed the button Lenovo Care and charge of Lenovo Rescue and Recovery 4. (This is where I am now, typing away in the Opera browser.) I tried to find help, but could not find anythign useful so far. I installed for many drivers, updates, patches, etc. But none have anything to remove the blue screen of death. Now, after 7 hours, I really frustrated, and this is my last hope! (I don't want to save my hard drive and reinstall, because I paid more than 250 applications and more than 270 free programs on my computer! Of more, more than 350 iPad apps, of which a few are paid! Oh and 700 iBooks!)
Help, please! I'm really desperate right now, and any help would be appreciated!
    Thanks in advance!

PS I run Windows Vista Home Basic SP2 (I think) on a Lenovo ThinkPad SL500 (NOT SL500c!)

PPS Lenovo all computers have this Lenovo Rescue Recovery 4, which is like an operating system of its own. It has a browser that you can install updates and other things. Right now I use Rescue and Recovery. Thanks again in advance and please answer my question! I had this problem for a week and I'm in school tomorrow! Thanks again!

EDIT: The error message went like this:

A problem has been detected and Windows has shut down to prevent damage to your computer.

If this is the first time you've seen this Stop error screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps:

Check for viruses on your computer. Remove the hard drives newly installed on the hard disk controllers. Check your hard drive to ensure that it is configured and completed proeprly. Run CHKDSK /F to check for hard drive corruption, and then restart your computer.

    Technical information:

    STOP: 0X0000007B (0X80599BB0, 0XC0000034, 0X00000000, 0X00000000)

My 3000 N200 laptop was recently hit by a bad virus. I had removed it, but the software Lenovo Care has become corrupted. Now, when I click on any subject of Lenovo Care (such as my system update) I get an error message: "the application could not initialize properly (0xc0000135).
