I'm really really frustrated to this topic and I am ready to return my printer and write a bad review on Amazon where I bought it. Help, please

Thank you. my 14 year old son solved the problem, whatever it may be.

  • Officejet J6480 carriage jams when printing wirelessly via the plugin from HP printing service

I try to print on my printer OfficeJet J6480 HP all-in-one to my Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 tablet that runs Android 4.4 Wireless using the "HP Print Service Plugin on the tablet.

    Measures already taken;

Sucessfully downloaded/installed the Service HP Print on shelf Plugin

Radio wireless to the printer and correctly configured to communicate with the router wirelessly activated successfully.

    Problem:

When you try to print something from the tablet to the wireless printer, the printer is trying to perform the print operation (flow paper in the printer from paper tray, shows 'Printing' on the printer screen), but then never made a real impression and gets a 'Transport Jam' indication on the printer screen.

When this occurs above, I opened the hood top, checked for jammed paper in the paper path (Nothing), did tension of printer many times, cycle of fact alignments cleanings and cartridge many times, changed the paper to different types of paper.

None of these actions corrected the problem...

I'll also add that when you perform the steps of printing with the radio wireless on off the printer and the cable connected to the printer, the printer functions normally when you print from my pc applications - no traffic jams. Also, the printer works normally when you perform a function 'copy' locally from the printer control panel - not roadways of jams.

I thought maybe an update of the firmware to the printer could solve this problem - ideas about this being a likely solution?

BTW - how you normally clear / would correct a cart-jam regardless of printing wirelessly or through an ethernet cable?

If the firmware update is not a solution, any comment on what could be the cause of the problem?

If an update is available, could you tell me how to do the upgrade and where can I download it from?

Thanks for all your comments... Denny

    E - rog,

Two things I wanted to first of all thank you a lot for the response to my original message concerning the problem of printing wirelessly to my printer HP J6480 of the Tablet, Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 via the Plugin of Service HP Print.

Secondly, I wanted to aplogize for the very long delay in responding to your... I had some health problems with a family member who prevented me to try your suggestions to the problem.

I am pleased to report that I managed to solve the problem... I am now able to print to the printer of the tablet.

A little history on the fix...

I tried to download and install the update of the firmware from the link you provided, while having the printer connected to the PC (Windows) computer via a USB connection, as you suggest. (It was initially connected through my home network, so I had to first uninstall, then reinstall via USB connection). When you try to install the downloaded firmware it failed, even after several attempts to re-downloading/reinstalling.

Instead, I uninstalled the printer again, reinstalled over the home network, downloaded the update of the firmware directly from the HP site by locating the printer model, then the firmware. This time the firmware successfully installed (was able to view the progress of installation of the firmware in the display on the front panel of the printer). Make the installation of the firmware with the printer installed on the network domestic (instead fo via USB), the installation process allowed me to search for the printer on the network - it found it successfully and successfully installed the firmware.

After this successful firmware installation and turn on the wireless radio on the printer (via the button on the front panel), I was able to print successfully from the tablet... YES!

Needless to say, there is no carriage jam messages as before... and I did not try your other suggestions to go to the HP article on carriage jam error States/solutions.

I am really gratefull for your response/suggestions...fixing this problem did the usefulness of my tablet to increase dramatically to have the ability to print... cudos to you for your efforts on this forum and a big "thumbs up" for your records.

Gettting a carriage jam message and cannot get rid of it?

Sometimes the ramasseherbe gets locked due to a paper jam. You can unplug it and move the carriage to the Center. Look to the right (the region where it comes from), search for any paper. Many times paper crumpled upward and is stuck in this field and transport cannot lock, because it is blocked.

  • SE error message: there is a carriage jam and the printer will not printusing HP PSC 2355xi printer all in one

    Original title: transport jam

Despite the opening of the printer and the cart is many, many, many times I still get the error message that there is a carriage jam and the printer does not print. I have a HP PSC 2355xi all-in-one. The carriage moves freely. Help!

It is a hardware problem, not a Windows problem. You should contact HP for assistance.  This may mean that the engine or the running gear is toast. They should be able to tell you which components to check.

  • Carriage jam Error Message on HP 8500 has

My OfficeJet Pro 8500 constantly has a carriage jam error message. I followed all the steps of the 14 minute video. I was able to print the test pages to each step, but just after he lit up with the error msg again. There is no paper jammed anywhere, but it is making a kind of grinding sound when it does not print the test page. Then I'm back to print it does not and I have to turn it off then try all the steps. Also when I turn it off then on again once it seems to freeze on the screen "check printer, this may take a few moments." Can what solution anyone recommend. I don't think that there is a trolley that everything looks very good jam, but there is clearly a problem. Was working fine until I had to print a 80 page document last week.

Troubleshooting steps described in this document can help solve the problem.

Jams of transport differ from paper jams, although paper jams can cause transport jams...

  • OfficeJet 8600 more - will not install - error message "carriage jam".

I'm unable to install a new printer of all-in-one OfficeJet 8600 Plus.  I was running through the installation routine when it hit a barrier, that it cannot go beyond.  I got the "Carriage jam" error message on the printer screen.  I ran through HP Web sites and found one on the point: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c02919171

I did everything that the foregoing asked.  I pulled the cart holding the ink cartridges and put again.  I 'reinstalled' of the carridge another 3 times, and the third time, instead of seeign 'Transport Jam' once again, the machine began to re-start, but then got stuck on a new screen, that says 'printer preparation', with the logo of HP that swirled around, stating that it was ongoing.  He spent forever, and when I tried to turn it off, it wouldn't let me, so I pulled the plug.  When I plugged in again, I was back to "Carriage Jam".   What can I do else?

The guy at Office Depot said to bring it back, and he would exchange for a new (I bought it today).  I guess I will, if anyone has a better idea. Thank you.

    Hi Ismellwabbit,

Sorry to hear that you are having problems.

I totally agree with the guy from Office depot. If you are having problems on the first day, I strongly suggest that make you it

take it to a new. Don't waste your time trying to fix it because you may have a defective product.

These things happen because of several reasons that could happen anywhere bewteen from production to delivery.

I hope this helps! Sorry you had a bad first experience. Totally been there myself and I know how that feels.

Never get a carriage jam and can't get it figured out? Here is a video and a document that can help you solve the problem.

Many times transportation jams came from a piece of paper crashes and the transport again slams the paper and cannot go completely backwards. The video shows how you can get a jam and a few steps to get to the jam and fix it.

  • HP Office Jet Pro 8600 Plus false paper jam message

I am ready to throw this printer out the window! I'm tired of false paper jam messages. The printer will be fine for a few weeks, then... another message of jam that can take hours to clear.

I: reset the printer, looked for jams, checked the latest firmware, shaken and even moved the print cartridge support to the right (which is surprising solved the problem several times). The only thing I have not tried is a ceremony of purification of incense.

Come on HP, stop telling us to try all of the unnecessary procedures. There is a sensor in the machine that is faulty. Fix it!

Instead of throwing out the window, I'll put it on the sidewalk and invite passers-by to take their frustration with a hammer. It would make a great video!

Additional info: if I'm able to run "align print heads", who often corrects the situation. A little more evidence that there is a sensor on the blink.

28/08/14: personal support HP said that the problem I encountered was very likely due to a defective sensor.

I just sent you a private message. If you are unsure how to check your messages on the forum this post, has instructions.

  • 8500: 8500 with clear paper jam message

    Hello

My gives me a clear paper jam message when printing from the nearest mac to the printer.  I walked through all the steps on the 14-minute video, and I always get the message (that) then it will print.

In addition, 3 other computers that use this printer (all macs) can print without problem. We're using Yosemite and the other two use a slightly older OS. This could be a driver problem?

    All thoughts are welcome.

    Thank you!

I turned the printer works after doing the above and guess what? It works!

    Thank you!

  • C4385 all in a carriage Jam, with paper

I have a HP C4385 all in one and it is a transport and Paper Jam message display, or none at all.  Any time I try to print something, I receive one of the above messages.  I tried to clean the rollers who drop out paper (via the instructions in a video of HP).  I tried the cartridges slide on the bar lubrication cartridge (as suggested on a forum).  I tried a hard reset and other options reset as suggested by HP.  I don't remember everything I've tried, but nothing I found online has helped.  There are several similar positions, but none of them have solved this problem for me.  I just spent over $ 30 on the new ink cartridges HP, when apparently I didn't need, because it does not solve my problem either.  I am ready to throw my printer out the window and wish I could get my money for printer cartridges that I just bought.  I hope that you have a real solution for me, and if not, how can I get this thing repaired?  Can I just bring it to Best Buy, Staples, or Office Max or something?

Just to make sure that no one bothers to answer this question, I bought a new printer.  Thanks for all the help, everyone.
