Having a carriage jam with your Officejet 8600?

Gettting a carriage jam message and cannot get rid of it?

Sometimes the ramasseherbe gets locked due to a paper jam. You can unplug it and move the carriage to the Center. Look to the right (the region where it comes from), search for any paper. Many times paper crumpled upward and is stuck in this field and transport cannot lock, because it is blocked.

Here is a link that will help to transport also jam.

I have a desktop HP all-in-one running Windows 7 (64-bit). The printer HP Officejet 8600 pro range is connected to the printer via a USB cable. It s probably a power outage in the lamp.

    1. try to change a different electric recessed contact.

    2. check the scanner lamp, if he shines a light "BOLD" when the printer is turned on.

    3. try to start a new search and check the operation of the scanner and how works.

  • Paper jam false messages Officejet 8600 N911a

Started receiving messages about 2 months ago.  It's happened to every 10 days to 2 weeks, but now it is happening more often.  The printer is used in general one or two times a day.  The message always appears when a print command is sent from the computer or you press the copy button.  In most cases, no paper changes or additions that have taken place since the last time that the printer was used.  Or changes in the ink.

I have more attention to messages that come on the computer screen on the printer.

Six messages to the point on the computer.

    1. Introduction to jam.  Tells me to remove the double-sided printing module.

There has never been a jam it.

2-5 lack of ink cartridge (each message appoints a different color)

All of the ink cartridges are installed properly - and all the cartridges HP 950 and 951 appropriate.

    6. lack of printhead failed

Print head is not absent, and it works fine most of the time.

The only way I can go forward is to turn off the printer.  I get a message on the printer displays asking if I'm sure I want to do this (or something like that) and I proceeded to turn it off (that I don't have the choice).

I wait a minute and turn it back on.  He me bawls to have turn it off then proceeds to realign the cartridges and wastes my ink, paper and time.

I searched a lot of small pieces of paper in all the places that the travel document but never found any.  Please note that I can print without incident and an hour later I have this problem.  Once I went through the steps of the printer works fine until another week or day.

When the problem occurs, it's ALWAYS before any paper began to move either from the toolbar State or feeder.

    Any ideas appreciated.

    "Hi lions99,

Depending on the cost I might prefer to have an authorized service HP person make the semi full reset, rather than risk bricking the unit.  I have a problem, however.  Using the "Partner Locator - United States" I can't find such a repair centre.

Don't forget that my printer is an Officejet Pro 8600

First, select the product category: Printers & Multifunction

    So far so good.

Then select a product family: Officejet.

I have an Officejet Pro, which is not a listed option.  So I accept Officejet.

Thirdly, select a product.  This SINGLE product is the Officejet 9100 series.

I have no other choice, I accept.

I live in Lafayette, Indiana 47904

I started by putting in a 10-mile radius and received the following message:

Sorry, we don't have a match for your search of partners. Please click search again and try to increase the search radius or using a different criterion.

I increased the distance until I reached 3000 miles (anywhere in the continental of the United States) and got the same address.

If I used the "HP local partner in my region" who had no option of mileage, I still get the same message.  Maybe it is because I don't have the right product, but I used what was available, hoping that a repair center works on my model, too.

I do not want to ship it anywhere, so if you can not direct me to a repair center that I might be willing to drive to, I'll need to do the procedure myself.  If this is the case, I will contact you to confirm/clear upward by a few points on the process.

I appreciate the help that you have provided so far and any additional assistance that could be provided.

    David ".

It would be difficult to just walk up to a repair center and get HP to replace or repair the unit. Your best option would be to call HP@8004746836 and see which option they have that they will give you the same statement I made in the product Monograph.

I suggest to call HP and see if they can help you by phone that might be easier to find a Service Center for repair near you.

  • Presentation of Adobe acrobat 9 pro can not communicate with hp officejet 8600 premium pro scanner via WAI

Scanner works with the HP software and test successfully with HP Diagnostic Utility 4.2.  However, when I try to create a PDF document from the scanner by using Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro I get an error message indicating that Adobe cannot communicate with the scanner HP 8600 WAI or Twain.

I've worked fine before with my HP 6380 hooked up via USB

    Hi jusandi,

Because the printer is able to scan from HP and Microsoft paint software then the problem you are having is with the Adobe Acrobat 9 software. My first suggestion would be to uninstall the program and then reinstall it to see if the problem persists. If you still have the same problem, you need to contact Adobe technical support.

  • C4385 all in a carriage Jam, with paper

I have a HP C4385 all in one and it is a transport and Paper Jam message display, or none at all.  Any time I try to print something, I receive one of the above messages.  I tried to clean the rollers who drop out paper (via the instructions in a video of HP).  I tried the cartridges slide on the bar lubrication cartridge (as suggested on a forum).  I tried a hard reset and other options reset as suggested by HP.  I don't remember everything I've tried, but nothing I found online has helped.  There are several similar positions, but none of them have solved this problem for me.  I just spent over $ 30 on the new ink cartridges HP, when apparently I didn't need, because it does not solve my problem either.  I am ready to throw my printer out the window and wish I could get my money for printer cartridges that I just bought.  I hope that you have a real solution for me, and if not, how can I get this thing repaired?  Can I just bring it to Best Buy, Staples, or Office Max or something?

Just to make sure that no one bothers to answer this question, I bought a new printer.  Thanks for all the help, everyone.

  • OfficeJet 8600: scan of the computer does not work on mac officejet yosemite 8600

I tried the fix in the forum for the officejet which will not sweep with yosemite.    I used the driver for 8600 officejet Yosemite.   I restarted the router, computer and printer.  I also struggle with the print function.  Every day, I have to turn off the printer market to find the computer.  I have a macbook pro computer running OS X 10.10.2

It's very frustrating!  Help, please!  Thank you!!

    Hey there @texasjane!

Thanks for posting on the HP Forums!

I should be able to provide assistance with the issue between you and your Officejet 8600 scan Mac OS X 10.10. You mentioned that you have already installed the full features of HP Officejet 8600 software but still have no success.  Your also get some printing problems.  The Mac indicates that the printer is offline when you try to print?

Its possible that an update is available for the Mac on the HP software.  I recommend checking the Mac to make sure it's his print more up-to-date and scan drivers.  To check the updates simply click the Apple icon in the upper left corner of the screen.  Once your in the Apple menu, select App Store.  Within the App Store, you can click updates at the top of the window.  Check and install the HP updates that may be available.

I suggest try to analyze using one of the construction in Mac as Capture of Image applications.  If there are problems with the HP on Mac 10.10 software then you may be able to bypass them with Image capture.  Image capture may be located in your Applications folder on a Mac.  You can also find it by linking the Image Capture in the Mac spotlight.  Spotlight is the magnifying glass at the top right of the screen.

If please, after back and let me know how it goes!

I hope this has been helpful!

  • transport jam f on Officejet 6310xi all-in-one printer

I use an all-in-one HP Officejet 6310xi priniter.  I send the print command and when prinited sheet is delivered first four lines or are so prinitinig that half of the line and the message thenrerst prints OK.  However, after the delivery of the printed sheet I get message, "Transport jam" I received instruction of "open the door.  Clear jam and then press 'OK '.  How can I stop this from happening?  My operating system is Windows 7.

Have you removed all paper from the input tray and shined a flashlight upwards in the status bar to ensure there is nothing caught in the rollers?  Remove the duplexer/rear access door and make sure that there is nothing in the rollers at the back.

I would also check the printer.  The top and look down inside the right-hand side of the printer (right side of the carriage house).  Do you not see any paper into a ball in this section?

There is also a document with steps to help fix a carriage jam in an Officejet 6310xi.  The document can be found here.  Let me know how it goes.

  • OfficeJet 8610: Trouble with sweep Officejet 8610

I set up my officejet 8610, installed the disc is it came with. I'm trying to scan a doc on my Mac. It gives me a message failure scan noting that it could be the connection to the computer (which is not the case), scan app on mac is in use (I don't think), OCR app is not installed on the mac (what is this?). I don't know where to start. Please notify. Thank you.

    Hello @Robert34!

Thanks for posting on the HP Forums!

I would be happy to provide assistance about scanning with your Officejet 8610 to the Mac computer.  Software OCR stands for optical character recognition.  It's text-recognition software in a scanned image, so you can change it.  Unfortunately, it is not available for the Mac, but it should not prevent you from being able to scan.

I recommend that you check the HP on the Mac utility to see if the scan of the computer is turned on.  To open HP utility go in your application and click on the Hewlett-Packard folder.  In the Hewlett-Packard folder, you should be able open HP utility.  Once you have the HP utility open click on Manage scan of the computer to see if it is enabled.

If you are unable to scan, then I recommend using the Image Capture to scan.  Image capture is also located in the folder of the Application on your Mac.  You can also locate it by typing Image Capture in the spotlight (magnifying glass) in the upper right corner of the Mac.  Image capture to start the analysis of the Mac.  It has more options and settings for scanning and saving.

Once you are in the Image Capture, select your scanner on the left side of the window.  It can be located under shared.  Once the scanner is selected, you should be able to change all settings on the right side before you click scan.  Below is a screenshot of what picture Capture looks like and all available parameters.  If you have not any settings that you should be able to click on show details at the bottom of the window.

If please, after back and let me know if this worked for you!

  • OfficeJet 8600 more - will not install - error message "carriage jam".

I'm unable to install a new printer of all-in-one OfficeJet 8600 Plus.  I was running through the installation routine when it hit a barrier, that it cannot go beyond.  I got the "Carriage jam" error message on the printer screen.  I ran through HP Web sites and found one on the point: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c02919171

I did everything that the foregoing asked.  I pulled the cart holding the ink cartridges and put again.  I 'reinstalled' of the carridge another 3 times, and the third time, instead of seeign 'Transport Jam' once again, the machine began to re-start, but then got stuck on a new screen, that says 'printer preparation', with the logo of HP that swirled around, stating that it was ongoing.  He spent forever, and when I tried to turn it off, it wouldn't let me, so I pulled the plug.  When I plugged in again, I was back to "Carriage Jam".   What can I do else?

The guy at Office Depot said to bring it back, and he would exchange for a new (I bought it today).  I guess I will, if anyone has a better idea. Thank you.

    Hi Ismellwabbit,

Sorry to hear that you are having problems.

I totally agree with the guy from Office depot. If you are having problems on the first day, I strongly suggest that make you it

take it to a new. Don't waste your time trying to fix it because you may have a defective product.

These things happen because of several reasons that could happen anywhere bewteen from production to delivery.

I hope this helps! Sorry you had a bad first experience. Totally been there myself and I know how that feels.

  • Officejet J6480 carriage jams when printing wirelessly via the plugin from HP printing service

I try to print on my printer OfficeJet J6480 HP all-in-one to my Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 tablet that runs Android 4.4 Wireless using the "HP Print Service Plugin on the tablet.

    Measures already taken;

Sucessfully downloaded/installed the Service HP Print on shelf Plugin

Radio wireless to the printer and correctly configured to communicate with the router wirelessly activated successfully.

    Problem:

When you try to print something from the tablet to the wireless printer, the printer is trying to perform the print operation (flow paper in the printer from paper tray, shows 'Printing' on the printer screen), but then never made a real impression and gets a 'Transport Jam' indication on the printer screen.

When this occurs above, I opened the hood top, checked for jammed paper in the paper path (Nothing), did tension of printer many times, cycle of fact alignments cleanings and cartridge many times, changed the paper to different types of paper.

None of these actions corrected the problem...

I'll also add that when you perform the steps of printing with the radio wireless on off the printer and the cable connected to the printer, the printer functions normally when you print from my pc applications - no traffic jams. Also, the printer works normally when you perform a function 'copy' locally from the printer control panel - not roadways of jams.

I thought maybe an update of the firmware to the printer could solve this problem - ideas about this being a likely solution?

BTW - how you normally clear / would correct a cart-jam regardless of printing wirelessly or through an ethernet cable?

If the firmware update is not a solution, any comment on what could be the cause of the problem?

If an update is available, could you tell me how to do the upgrade and where can I download it from?

Thanks for all your comments... Denny

    E - rog,

Two things I wanted to first of all thank you a lot for the response to my original message concerning the problem of printing wirelessly to my printer HP J6480 of the Tablet, Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 via the Plugin of Service HP Print.

Secondly, I wanted to aplogize for the very long delay in responding to your... I had some health problems with a family member who prevented me to try your suggestions to the problem.

I am pleased to report that I managed to solve the problem... I am now able to print to the printer of the tablet.

A little history on the fix...

I tried to download and install the update of the firmware from the link you provided, while having the printer connected to the PC (Windows) computer via a USB connection, as you suggest. (It was initially connected through my home network, so I had to first uninstall, then reinstall via USB connection). When you try to install the downloaded firmware it failed, even after several attempts to re-downloading/reinstalling.

Instead, I uninstalled the printer again, reinstalled over the home network, downloaded the update of the firmware directly from the HP site by locating the printer model, then the firmware. This time the firmware successfully installed (was able to view the progress of installation of the firmware in the display on the front panel of the printer). Make the installation of the firmware with the printer installed on the network domestic (instead fo via USB), the installation process allowed me to search for the printer on the network - it found it successfully and successfully installed the firmware.

After this successful firmware installation and turn on the wireless radio on the printer (via the button on the front panel), I was able to print successfully from the tablet... YES!

Needless to say, there is no carriage jam messages as before... and I did not try your other suggestions to go to the HP article on carriage jam error States/solutions.

I am really gratefull for your response/suggestions...fixing this problem did the usefulness of my tablet to increase dramatically to have the ability to print... cudos to you for your efforts on this forum and a big "thumbs up" for your records.

    Denny
