Cartridge recycling

I know there is somewhere you can send HP for HP cartridges to be recycled (post-free, if I remember correctly). But I can't remember where.

Here is the answer that I came home with privacy changes.

************************************************************************************************

«If you go to the HP Passport account, you can configure it to connect with a login different instead of an email address.» But it does not use the user name of the forums, even if you make it the same name. Here is an example:

If my username in the forums is Bill_B

My user name to connect to HP Passport to access the forums is [email protected]

If I wanted to change my log in to HP Passport to Bill_B, I would be

  1. Log in to Passport https://ovrd.external.hp.com/rd/sign-in
  2. Go to the section that says change user ID
  3. Add a user ID. However, if my friend Bill Bo Baggins had already done this and added the Bill_B user name to his account, I couldn't use it.

So, you can connect with the same name as the name of your forum, but it is NOT the same user ID.

Hope that helps.

"When you register initially for forums, we say that they are not the same:

Hope that answers your question.

  • possible future needs of the installed cartridges

I have an OfficeJet Pro 8100 printer and I just replaced my cartridges installation.  Is it possible that I need these ever again?  In other words, are there any circumstances in which the printer may need to 'reset' that require the presence of the cartridges installation?

    Thank you

    PROVIDE

    Hey provide,.

If you have configured the printer before with success, then you will not have these cartridges Setup again for the printer HP Officejet Pro 8100.  These can be eliminated in a respectful way (instead of an ink cartridge recycling).

The only time that these may be necessary once again, this is if the printhead needs to be replaced in the x 8100. According to the HP paper for cartridges SETUP:

    • When you install a new print head, you must install the cartridges supplied with the print head CONFIGURATION.

    I hope this helps.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8500 a Premium: questions of the black cartridge

I used just to the top of my first black cartridge in the printer. Curiously, he did not use the whole upward, but gave me a warning message, long in advance and then just stopped printing in the middle of a page, with the page out to halfway to the front of the printer and told me to replace the cartridge. And the ink had not yet cleared up or whatever it is, it could have at least kept going until he has exhausted all of the ink, and he did?

So I bought a 'real' HP940XL"on Ebay for a good economy and just went to put it in, but it was only with the label upside. Maybe that's why I saved money on it? Because the label was put on backwards?

Then he told me that a genuine HP cartridge has been installed, drove to the partial sheet at the front and canceled the rest of the print job, that I had to reprint the firat 15 pages of.

So if he was not a 'real' HP cartridge, would he not accepted it? Because there is a much bigger economy if I get "compatible" cartridges, it seems.

In addition, is this old cartridge recyclable locally? We have a place local cartridge and I wonder if I could win by bringing and exchange it?

The printer recognizes when a non-genuine cartridge is installed. These reloaded or "compatible" cartridges may be able to fit in the camera, but are generally not a good idea.

You can find that information on this subject in this link for a market study conducted on vs real non-genuine cartridges.

Remember that ink not authentic is not guaranteed to be the same viscosity or acidity and is potentially capable of damaging the printer ink system.

Many companies such as Office Depot, for example, offers options for recycling of printer cartridges. Some even give small amounts of store credit for them.

    I hope this helps.

  • Canon ip4950 - prints too dark

Canon Pixma iP4950 printer - prints much too dark. Different profiles tried both through Windows and Photoshop. The difference is well beyond the profiles.

Parameters of the screen changed, altered the printer, photoshop changed settings. Service customer of Canon unaided with their suggested parameters. Up to date drivers.

Former Canon iP4600 very good (a lot of use, worn, this display has & is not good up here!)

Original toner cartridge or cartridges recycled / reloaded / reconditioned?

It could be a faulty cartridge.

  • cartridge HP 61 (recharging)? Deskjet 1050 /HP, series J410, discharge printer/scanner

I bought a hp deskjet 1050 (J410 series) printer/scanner, about 3-4 weeks ago, at Future Shop for $29.99. I used all of the ink in the black cartridge 61 hp, called a local outlet for a large company to fill cartridge and I was told that they could fill up again. They did it.

Now the printer/scanner is displaying the attached message and refuses to print.

What is the opposite of "green"? HP did not hear the words "reduce, reuse and recycle '?

HP is really so short-sighted that they hired printers and cartridges design engineers so that the printer does not work after using the ink in the cartridge?

A new hp deskjet 1050 printer/scanner costs $29.99 at Future Shop. A black hp 61 cartridge costs $19.99. They really matter to the printer go in a landfill after using ink? I used to think product hp product - quality since I bought my first calculator hp 21 more than 35 years ago.

I tried to get rid of the warning (with the 'Close' button disabled) by starting the Task Manager and end the task. but the printer still does not print. Do you know another solution to workaround?

At this point, I think again the printer & shopping for a better alternative.

    Thank you.

I would say that if the message comes up again just to say 'no '.   While HP does not fill, they try to crack down on counterfeiting, which sells reloaded cartridges / reman as genuine HP.

BTW, instead of charging probably taken your cartridge used once and you gave another replacement.  If you had gotten back your printer cartridge would have recognized and do not show this message.  I suggest that contact you the restring a replacement if cleaning the contacts of the cartridge as shown below (for a different series, but the same principle) does not solve the problem.

On a related note, I gave once a printer at the local high school.  Some time later I received a call from the teacher that he was not working properly.  They had replaced the #57 with a charged cartridge that had the wrong color in yellow (green now).  We got a replacement and had one of the missing colors.  Finally, the third replacement worked.  I asked why they bought refills and the teacher said they were less expensive.  I asked if they have 1/3 of the price...  You get what you pay for.

BTW, I do not work for HP or represent them, I'm just a volunteer on this forum.

  • Want 7640: Do you need to send back the old instant cartridges?

I just signed up for snapshot of ink. Once I get the instant ink cartridges, I see that there is an envelope to recycle in the package. What I send these cartridges in the return envelope to hp or I can recyle them anywhere else? If I'm not should I pay? I have an electronic retailer nearby that I take all my electronics to recycle. They have even a bn dedicated for ink.

You are not required to return the cartridges in the envelope. It is provided for your convinence and to protect the environment. Their stop at a local electronic retailer is preferable.

  • HP301 cartridges: dates of expiry of cartridges HP

My printer died so I replaced (with super HPOfficeJet 8610 Pro!) BUT I find myself with a dozen color and black cartridges HP301. Original boxes have been recycled a month ago, when I put the wrapped seal (original wraps) on the set. A man is buying them on me but says there is no expiry date. They number sequences such as (on two black trucks purchased the same day): MYS4 160300 140927 0325 and MYS1 160300 140916 2000. Any ideas on crack this code Da Vinci-style for me to tell you the date or the expiration date! Thank you very much, Dave.

date printed on the cartridge is in the format YYYYMMDD as shown in the paper here.

  • Cartridge HP 1350 Jam/Incompatible transport

Hello... I have a HP PSC 1350, old but works always, but the end of problems with persistent transport jam and cartridge compatibility. Basically, the symptoms are the following: after hitting 'print' transport sets on the left side. Not really of interference, but to rest it. If I open the default gateway is in the middle position to remove a cartridge and replace.

I have two new cartridges in the printer. The black HP56 arises from HP, the color HP57 is a generic. I used generics for years without any problem.

Anyway, the message I get on the screen is "check printer cartridge" and in the application of series HP PSC 1300, the error message is "the black ink cartridge is faulaty or incompatible with this printer." I replaced the cartridge several times and every time I do the printer will start, print a test page and do some printing tasks. But half an hour later when I hit print, it will return to the same set of problems. Weird that it works very well but not half an hour later. Sometimes if I do several resets I can make it work but after a rental it sitting idle going a bit, no.

So, essentially, the printer works fine when you're printing so I think it's a software/driver problem. Not sure if it's related but I noticed that the problems began after I upgraded to the Mavericks 10.9.2.

    Clues?

    Mike

    Hi Mike (Coopershawk).

Sorry to hear that these steps did not work!

I don't have access to service manuals (if they are still there) that I could link you too, but you can try to use Google and YouTube to see what you can find to disassemble the printer. You're right, if you can't fix it, it will be recycled anyway, why not just not?

I hope that you are able to fix this on your own Mike here and I thank you for your time! Good luck and feel free to let me know how you go with the repairs!

  • HP Photosmart Plus all-in-One: ink cartridge problems

I have a model B209.  Last week, I decided that I would take the four staples of cartridgesto used, because they have a recycling program.  I wanted to only buy black ink, so I bought 2 separate packages of the 564 Black.  Has opened a package and installed as usual.  All I keep seeing is problem Catrridge of ink: the following ink cartridges seems to be missing or damaged.  see status screen on your computer for more details.  The question is # 1 status display has not yet shown on my computer. #2 I can't even to other options on the Touchscrren of the printer.  I have read and watched videos of people who give directions and instructions on cleaning the print heads.  I tried to remove the printhead, soaking in the water, leaving back dry and enforcement.  I did these things repeatedly.  When I soak the print head in the water, the water changes color.  I hope that I have accidentally hit the wrong part of print head when I removed it from the printer.  Please help, because it's my only other option when I can't access wifi to my portable device used for the printing of tickets, Groupons, etc..  Thank you!

Your printer requres all 4 cartridges to be present, that is why the printer tells you that the cartridges are missing can may not last.

Some newer model printers, which use the cartridges with integrated print heads, can operate with only the black cartridge only.

But the B209, separated print head and ink cartridges, if not all the cartridges are installed, the print head does not work.

Please help me, I have HP Deskjet 3070. There works well since then, but I replaced just the black cartridge with original ink and he confirmed that it was a real ink, I printed a few documents and everything was fine and it's just less amonth ago.

I noticed someone has posted a simlar here question one obtained help same day via private message that he has fixed his problem, I commented here a week ago and had asked for help, but have had no response to date.

Today, I installed a new black ink, thinking that he could be in ink, but she does not always print anothere.

    Please help me.

New replacement printer arrived today with the new inks, installed game machine with the new inks and everything works as it should. Old machine is to immerse for recycling as advised.

I'm relieved and I appreciate the after sale HP just rendered services. Although I am a little worried and now fear that it could happen again "after the guarantee" since no clear explanation is given in what concerns what could have caused the failure. And judge with an option of replacement is the best solution, it seems like the cost of the den could be greater than the value.

Finger is crossed, I hope that it will serve this time or at least give reseonable service before getting on my nerves.

    Thank you HP.
