Certification issues

Where to find the official information from vmware on the following questions:

Is THAT secure Channel - NV is not the level of certification VCP?

Is there any difference between the VCP - NV obtained with MLV - class NV equivalent via submission cert CCNA to vmware and normal VCP - NV with VCP - NV authorized courses?

VCP - NV Certification acquired with VCP - NV equivalent class give me the right to take the exam VCP - VTC and receive certification VCP - VTC?

What is certification VCP - VTC reached which is considered correct condition sine qua non for VCAP-DCA?

On the Vmware site noted that level of certification VCP EVERYTHING counts as a condition sine qua non to the VCAP-DCA without any exclusions. This statement is wrong?

On the Vmware site and the plan VCP - VTC also said that ANY valid level VCP certification entitles to pass and to receive certification VCP - VTC. Is this bad?

And in the VCAP-DCA blueprint said this breeding VCP5-VTC, enough to pass the VCAP-DCA exam and certification status. He said incorrect information?

Support of certification do not answer this question. So I'm looking for someone who can.

I edited my previous answers based on what I've learned.

Because you won VCP - NV via CCNA, you have not met the requirement of practical training which have other VMware certifications. For certification in the stream as VCP - VTC or VCAP-DCA VTC, you will need to meet the requirement of practical training for the particular certification.

I believe that this 'anomaly' should be included in the relevant web pages and blue, to avoid confusion.

    Hello

But I remember taking my exam MCP 2 times... when I went there the 2nd time it was so Excilirating to me.

I've been in the computer industry for many years, and you would think that I would have more qualities even if I do something good!

What I want to do is to get some suggestions on how to update my MCP to something more common and more in line with what I'm doing in reality on the ground.

  • I'm sec_error_extension_value_invalid - how to fix this?

Hi, I recently installed an IBM IPS device which allows to inspect SSL traffic. The way he does it is a kind of man in the Middle, and this means that you must download a unit certificate and import it into your browser. The process is detailed here for various browsers: http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg27039297.

Now, it works for IE and Chrome, and until a recent Firefox update. Now, I get the error sec_error_extension_value_invalid.

Any idea on how to solve this problem?

Very useful. It seems that the authority of certification issued by the unit (XGS 4100) is inconsistent. Sanitation is lower than the version of Firefox to 28.0 which is the last version listed in the support matrix.

This forum is used is discussions on the Certifications issued by Oracle (OCA, OCP, OCÉ, OCP) in individuals who have satisfied the requirements of Certification.

Sox etc are not disccused here.

The following link may or may not be useful [http://www.oracle.com/technology/deploy/security/index.html]

I suspect that the general database imen forum is the best place for your question... others know maybe more appropriate.

In general, it is often discussed in respect of the security.

11 GR 2 also has features that can better support certain aspects of the compliance of socks.

  • Issue of certification JDeveloper 11.1.1.6.0

    Hello

Certification information published for JDeveloper; [http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/jdev/index-091111.html], Oracle JDK 1.7 (32 and 64-bit) is supported as of 11.1.1.6.0.
However, the default JDK comes with 11.1.1.6.0 is always jdk160_24 (JDK 1.6 update 24).

Is there a reason for this?
If there is a reason that 11.1.1.6.0 is still using JDK 6, why is he not yet an updated version (released with updated 24, 31 update is available...)?
If I had to change my 11.1.1.6.0 installation use the JDK 7 are there aspects important I need to consider?

    Thank you
    Matthew.

    Matthew,

so, what's the real problem? The version of the JDK installed with JDeveloepr is obviously one that has tested prior to release. So unless there is an issue that can be directed to the JDK, you can assume the installer must be correct. Like your thread started with why don't JDeveloper 11.1.1.6 installs with JDK 7 by default, I assume you want to use the JDK 7 anyway. I think that we can shorten this discussion by agreeing that the product has been tested as having been shipped. If you want to stay with JDK 6 but to install with the version mentioned in the document, download the generic Setup JAR (which I usually do) and point the installer to your JDK version. Then solves the problem for you. If you want to fill a bug report on the certification document, please go ahead.

  • Issue of certification

Anyone know the cost for a certification exam? If the cost is based on the regional level, I'm in Georgia, USA.

My CLAD exam was $ 129 last October in Los Angeles.  For this one, you must create an account with VIEW Pierson to save and see the price, schedule, and location.

Higher level exams are scheduled up to OR, and you should be able to see prices online.

  • First issues of Certification VMware times

    Hello community VMware.

I plan on getting my DVC VCP5 and unfortunately with a wall of questions that I could not find a satisfactory responses.

I received an email with a 50% discount code for the 5.1 on the course of the application. How long this code will be valid? (There is some lag with budgeting approval)

    https://myLearn.VMware.com/mgrReg/plan.cfm?plan=47690 & UI = www_edu

(Linked to the previous link offshore) 5.1 course includes a review with the price good?

    https://myLearn.VMware.com/mgrReg/quote.cfm?course=188576 & UI = www_edu & linkui = www_edu

What is this code/course valid and the reduction of 20% advantage VMUG?

    http://www.VMUG.com/p/cm/ld/FID=10

Is it possible to buy this course with a 50% discount code and plan my course online 90 days window several months in the future?

Session for this course 5.1 sit for examination 5.5 allows?

After becoming certified VCP5-DVC, I understand that they expire a lot like my Cisco certifications, but within a period of two years instead of three. During these two years I'll be able to sit new exams outside version 5.x (e.g. 6.x) and pay only the cost of the exam? Or I'll be required to pay for more training each major revision?

Again, sorry for all the questions; I really enjoy taking the time to help me!

    ~ Mike

  • Issue of training certification VCP

Just a quick question if anyone is able to confirm if attending a VMWare certified training course is absolutely necessary in order to be certified secure Channel, in this case, I am referring to the secure Channel 5.

    Very much appreciated.

Yes, it can be taken in any order, but both must be met before certification.

  • Class VCP and the issue of Certification

I want to just make sure I read it correctly.

You must take a VMware class if you want to get the VCP certification?

If this is the case, seems to be more than a bit of a scam to me. Use VMware for four years in a company and the looks of easy test after that much experience.

Having to pay a lot of money for a class on what I already know...

If someone could clarify, I would appreciate it. Thank you.

    EI

You are right. It is mandatory to follow the official VMware courses and pass the examination to be a PCV. Practical experience is strongly recommended to help you pass the exam and you can go to take the exam without taking the course, but even if you pass the exam, you will be officially certified until what the official course.

I guess they do it to enhance the VCP. They are also trying very hard to prevent people from taking brain dump to pass the exam.

  • Issue of Java certification

I have the material for two learning modules:

    (a) Sun Java 2 Developer MCJS CX-310-252/CX-310-027, and
    (b) Java 2 5.0 Programmer Certification 310-055.

I know that this kind of examinations were organized by Sun Microsystems, Inc., which was acquired by Oracle in 2010. So my questions are:

    1. What are the exact names and numbers for the two reviews above, Oracle gave them? On the Oracle's Web site
    (
    http://education.Oracle.com/pls/web_prod-PLQ-dad/db_pages.GetPage?page_id=42 & p_org_id = 28 & lang = US
    )
I couldn't find available Java exams that start with "1Z0" or "1Z1.

2 are the old (Sun) and new exams (Oracle) exactly the same, that is, is the material I have is sufficient to take the exams again?

    Thank you in advance.

    k841 wrote:
    Is this correct?

    Yes, that's correct.

Also, is it possible, that by moving a review does not get certified? I understand the research, it is also necessary to attend a "class instructor" course, which cost about £1500 - is - true? Thank you.

It is enough to pass the exam.

  • Issue of Certification DBA 10g

In August 2008, I have passed the Tests of Certification DBA 2 but in the context of the reception of the certificate of the OCP, I had to take a course more. Well, I never found a moment to be able to follow the course to receive the credentials of the OCP. I was wondering if I can still take one of approved courses and receive credentials of OCP always. If so, I will consider this fall.

I have the credentials of the OCA, when I passed the first test. A few months later, I got the 2nd test. I just never found the time to take the class, so, I hope that I can still make and receive credentials.

    Any comment is appreciated.

You can choose a course off course list for 10 g OCP DBA... If these become rare a 11 g DBA equivalent may be accepted in the place... check it first if you think you have special case (but not vice versa for those seeking 11 g OCP DBA, a course of 10 g would not happen).

You have until the expiry of the certification to submit a course and get it checked.
