Hello

This is because you are running the script 'PrepareAnalysisServiceDatabase.xmla' in the database engine. You need to connect to Analysis Services, and then run the script.

I see that our documentation is not exactly clear about this. I'll take the installation of Cisco TMSAE guide updated.

Kind regards

Kjetil

  • Cisco Tandberg SX20 status: OptionKeys HighDefinition: false

    Hi all

We have installed options: NaturalPresenter, MultiSite, PremiumResolution, DualDisplay for the SX20 with

    TC6.0.0.876266.

However, we found that the Configuration-> software-> OptionKeys: false.

Maybe someone knows why there is a fake in this option.

    Ben

You have restarted your end point because you added all the option buttons?  Do you not see the high definition license, installed in the 'Set Options' list on the main page of information system (first one you arrive at when you connect to the codec)?

You need the LIC-SX20-HD license so he can say high definition: true

This license is included with the SX20, but may not be installed on your device - report of what's going on (see https://supportforums.cisco.com/thread/2157275).  You may need to contact your distributor or the TAC for the license key.

  • Simple question on a Cisco/Tandberg C20 codec

    Hi guys,.

I would like to ask your advice on a question, one of our customers recently raised; Here's the short story:

After that his ISP set at level a GK Radvision, customer knew no video, on its C20s, multi point conferences (video was successfully sent well).

After an initial diagnosis, the customer said that the question can be put in the C20 non acceptance/negotiation QCIF video Protocol (used in Radvision and other old stuff eventually to join the Conference).

As a solution, ISP has suggested to activate via SSH (command API) specific C20 (QCIF) Protocol (which is apparently not enabled by default... According to the ISP support)

Now, I know, C20 already supports QCIF and has to be without having to activate it via the specific shell commands!

... Besides there no reference in the documentation of the API C20 on a specific command.

What I suspect is that from time to time, an old codec ISDN connects to the Conference (perhaps as a first candidate) and somehow requires the MCU to negotiate some weird codec leading to no video (... Indeed, we saw through a troubleshooting session, conneting that theree different IP partecipants and we have not had any problems at all!).

Could you please let me know if I am mistaken and C20 accepts indeed default QCIF? ... If Yes, please could you me the command to allow it?

    Thank you very much!

    -Andrea

You're right C20 QCIF support in the default configuration, and no need to add a special command for him to allow.

Just for example, below is capset(2) terminal of C20 redefining this as video can be receive and including QCIF with multiple video Protocol.

Although using QCIF with C20 is little lose capacity C20 power video treatment, but interesting to understand why the software upgrade of Radvision GK introduce one-way video problem.

Application of C20 log will definitely help to identify or at least limit the first cause of this.

  • Tandberg VCS Expressway - rules of appeal policy

    Dear all,

We are currently deploying DNS resolution on the highway to VCS, and it works as expected.

However, we would like to block an outside party to call our VIP users, so we are set up the rule of the appeals policy.

According to the help page of VCS, both the Source and Destination are supported by regular expressions.

But we found that the strategy of appeal rule is not as planned.

    For example, we have configured

Schema of the source: [email protected] / * /

The destination model: [email protected] / * /

    Action: allow

As a result, the user [email protected] / * / is not able to call the endpoint ex60domain.com.

Does anyone face the similar problem? Or someone has the recommendation on this matter?

    Best regards

    Ben

As Andreas mention, you can use the CPL to control call of endpoint not registered by CPL following (just quick example)

    ===============================================================

    "xmlns:TAA ="http://www.tandberg.net/cpl-extensions"

    "" xmlns: xsi = "http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"

    xsi: schemaLocation = "urn: ietf:params:xml:ns:cpl cpl.xsd" >

    ===============================================================

Another solution is to use the new dial plan search rules introduced in X7.2 release.

Registration of endpoint of VIP in separate subfield and create specific search rules.

With X7.2, you can configure the search rule detail as called Protocol and source subfield level targeting specific subfield level.

Please see page 35 of https://supportforums.cisco.com/docs/DOC-26316.

(But this little yet complicate when call comes e - VCS to VCS - C where VIP registered endpoint).

    Hi Angel,

If you get a C1-AIR-CT5508-K9 , then you should not have licenses on the secondary unit (who you called unit HA). However if this is not the case then the usual requirement of license AP 50 County should hold to convert a secondary WLC. The number of licenses AP 50 can be registered license C1-WLC-1 pool.

Hope I was able to clear the confusion.

  • Problem of SX20 Cisco calling the polycom system

    Hello

I have a Cisco Tandberg Telepresence SX20 and I am facing a problem with advertising a Polycom video conferencing system.

I n few problems with my SX20 but I participate in a videoconference accommodation on a Polycom system. But when I try to call this system, my Tadnberg SX20 displays a white rectangle with "no video in" and a timer.

My firewall, all ports are open.

    What could be the problem?

    Thanks in advance

    Aurélien P.

Make sure that your SX20 running a recent version of the software (TC7.3.6 or CE8.1.1) and also the end point of Polycom is up-to-date.

We had a lot of problems over the years during the call to devices of Polycom and pretty well all the cases, the question was an older version of the software on the Polycom.

If it's an old VSX Polycom, make sure you're on version 9 (9.0.6.2 recommended) lease, and the Polycom HDX endponts should be at least version 3.1.x (3.1.10 is later).

  • Call SIP with Tandberg C40

I have a Cisco Tandberg C40 codec and have been making H.323 calls for an organization with no problems.  The organization is now making changes and demanding that I connect to them with their new SIP address.  When I try to connect, it is said immediately that the call could not be connected.  What are the requirements for placing a SIP call with the Tandberg C40?

    Assuming your C40 has the version of the TC6.x software;

go to network found under Control Panel Services and enable SIP.

Don't forget of check that SIP is selected as the Protocol to call when calling this company that the default calling Protocol can be set to H.323, SIP and H.320, so if only make you SIP calls, and then upgrade the SIP, but if you do mostly H.323 calls, then put to H.323, and select SIP among the options of appeal when the dial - or even more easily, add this address to the local directory with specified as a SIP call Protocol.

Just turning on SIP will allow you to make outgoing SIP calls, however, if this company wants to call you, then they can call you only using the public IP address of your system - and they could even not able to do according to their deployment, policies, etc.

If you want people to be able to call you using a SIP URI as [email protected] / * /, then you need to register your system with a Registrar SIP CUCM, VCS - C, etc. and also have SRV SIP records in place.

See the guide to the administrator for more information:

  • Configuration of the firewall Cisco Telepresence MCU 5320

    Hi all.

I searched all the documents of the MCU again, but I found nothing on the ports it uses.

    Help me

HI Sandra.  The 5320 MCU is the same as 4500 MCU.

    Incoming ports
    • FTP - TCP:21 + transient (dynamic rather than fixed) used TCP ports for passive mode
    • HTTP - TCP:80
    • HTTPS - TCP:443
    • H.323 - TCP:1720 + ephemeral TCP ports for incoming calls
    • SNMP - UDP:161
    • Outgoing calls to H.323 involve ephemeral ports TCP connections TCP TCP:1720 and a certain number of ephemeral TCP ports
    • Outgoing SIP TCP calls involve connections between the TCP ephemeral ports and TCP:5060
    • Outgoing SIP TCP calls involve connections between the TCP ephemeral ports and TCP:5061
    • Outgoing interruptions SNMP are sent the ephemeral ports UDP Port 162
    • Media (including audio and video, FECC messages) are ephemeral ports from ephemeral ports UDP.
    • The products acquired Cisco TANDBERG/Codian and gateway series series Cisco TelePresence allocate the ephemeral ports between 49152 to 65535 *. It is possible to change the ports on which these products receive and establish connections. For example, by default the Codian products Cisco acquired listen port 1720 H.323 calls and connections to port 80 web browser, but these can be modified (go to network > Services).

Keep in mind this MCU does not support the streaming or conference me and have either the GK aboard.  If these ports are listed.

  • Tandberg Edge 95

Hi, can someone please help?  I have a Tandberg Edge 95 I have connected 2 monitors for... The primary monitor is connected to the DVi Out o th at the back of the unit.  The secondary monitor is connected to the Composite video output (1.Dual) to the device.  When I want to send (my PC) content at the end as a presentation, I can also see it on my main screen, but I want to see the camera from the other end on the secondary display. Currently, I can only see the PC or the local camera on the secondary display.  I tried a combination of parameters, but can not get the camera from the end to display on the secondary monitor while I have the content of the PC on the main screen.  I also tried the output S - VIDEO and Composite video output (2.Single) without success.  Can someone tell me please how to operate?

We have a number of Edge95MXP using two screens and controlled - AMX works well.

However, all the programming is done for us by people you really know their AMX programming and Cisco/TANDBERG products - that helps.

  • Numbering on Cisco SX20 problem

    Hi team,

We use the SX20 Cisco for TP.

I can call on remote site using IP without any problem but when I compose the post IP #. (48.45.45.45 ##2002), the call is not placed.

then ask a remote site to call us.

Please suggest why this is happening or is there any codec setting. Us do not use any MCU server or any h.323 or sip proxy guard.

    Thank you

IP Ext #. (48.45.45.45 ##2002) is the method of numbering owner of Polycom that is not supported by Cisco/TANDBERG systems. You use [email protected] / * / or [email protected]/ * / _address, so instead use 48.45.45.45 #2002, you would dial [email protected]/ * /-I hope the people you are trying to call has their properly configured side so it will support Annex O, which is be the standard of the ITU.

  • Motorway E v8.5.1 / / URI Source of change for a call out

I'm changing the source URI for the calls from our internal network to the internet.  We have an internal area that is not routable on the internet and I would like to change for the routable domain.

    Example:

    Internal domain = int.company.com

    External domain = societe.com

I tried to use a CPL script on highway E (Version 8.5.1) to achieve, but it does not work for some reason any.  Here's the last CPL I am using:

Someone has any ideas why this wouldn't work?

    Thanks in advance.

    Brandon

Take a look at the example in this thread for reference, ask-expert-cisco-telepresence-company, and CPL reference material in the Guide Admin Expressway.

You must change your origin depending on your internal domain, rather than match any incoming/outgoing call, see below.

    [email protected]/* */" destination=".*">
Everything else is fine, I tested it with a codec here using your example domains and the called endpoint has shown the correct source address. You have a cpl in place to change the external domain in-house for incoming calls from outside your organization to be able to find the domain that is used for your registered endpoints? Joint a CPL example is based on one that you posted where it will change the outgoing calls to use the external domain and use the internal domain, incoming calls. In addition, for use later, just say "it doesn't work" provides no information of what's going on. Sometimes you can get lucky and see the issue, but other times that we have more detailed information or see what is happening in order to help better understand where is the problem.
  • Change the Source URI for outbound calls using VCS Expressway X8.2

    Hi all

I would like a little help on a CPL script, that I'm working on. I lived all the examples of community support and I am always sick.

We run on VCS X8.2.  What I've read, VCS X8.1 has introduced a few new CPL capabilities, including the node location CPL supports rewriting the regex-based source alias.  I would like to take advantage of this new feature. I'm looking for a tutorial or a direction more advanced examples using this new capability.

    Here's my question:

I have an internal domain "CompanyA.local" and I have a public domain "Entreprisea.com". «My Cisco video endpoints register control VCS with a SIP URI of "[email protected] / * / .local'.»

Receive calls from outside help "[email protected] / * / com" and the rules of research, I route calls properly internally.

When I dial an external company, my endpoint is showing a video SIP URI of "[email protected] / * / .local"

Of course, this isn't a SIP URI dial-able and should be changed to "[email protected] / * / .com'." "

I know that this can be achieved using CPL, but I have not used this feature before.
    Any help would be appreciated.

Please suggest an example script CPL I can review.

I would use a Regex to cover all of my similar to the following endpoints:

    source-url-to-message-regex = "(.*) ' @CompanyA.local '"
    source-url-to-message-replace = "------[email protected] / * /"

Thanks in advance for any help.

oooooo, that answer above gave me the answer I was looking for. It does not work! It seems that the syntax for the xml file has changed from pre x 8 and x 8. Looks like I've been using the incorrect syntax. I was missing the AVA: in the clause to the proxy, which is my version of rule switch not working. Still don't know why the address switch did not work, but I prefer the rule-switch anyway, so no big loss for me.

I've tested, and it is fully functional on my vm VCS x8.2 running lab
