Codian MCU - banner of Cisco

Hello, is it possible to keep the welcome message, but to get rid of the Cisco home page to appear when you enter into an ad hoc meeting?  It does seem in order for the Cisco banner except under the auto-attedent.

This setting affects the Cisco logo icon superimposed, it affects all matter superimposed Conference icons.  These two parameters are separated from each other.

    Hello

It is possible to have the system T3 to a Codian MCU conference join.  But note that the experience and the type of diagram you see will be very different from when you use the telepresence server.

With respect to the MCU, 53xx, I think that it does not support the TRICK.

  • Cannot connect to the Codian MCU 4550

I have a client who has a 4550 Codian MCU.  They recently had their lines ISDN, replaced by the local Telco Co. and since then the admins MCU have not been able to connect to implement calls.  They can reach the web interface, but can not go further.  I had to try and telnet/ssh into the device and run a password admin clear command but couln t connect, giving them the return "connection refused".  I have them also trying the connection by default where they do not have reset it and it didn't work.  Is anyone in this forum know of another way to get with admin rights and rest the two other accounts?

Hi Shane. Telnet or SSH is not available on these units. If they can't get into the unit with the admin password, then a console reset_config may be your best bet. Also do not know why change of ISDN lines would this Holy as these microcontrollers have no direct ISDN connections.

  • Forcemore than two end points to use Codian MCU

I have a lot of C90s, E20s, 150 points of termination. I wish that the conferences of two or more to always use the Codian MCU.

Can I do this with model templates.participant conference, or elsewhere?

    It depends on the specificity.

If you book these conferences, using TMS, then you need to configure your advanced conference Options.  "Use of the external MCU in routing" must be set to "Always, except for point to point" and "Favorite MCU Type in routing" must be set to "TANDBERG Codian MCU".

If these are Ad - hoc conferences, then what you want is Multiway (i.e. Conference Factory).  However, this requires a VCS.  The Guide deployment of Multiway for more details.

    http://www.Tandberg.com/support/DL.php?id=1119&dir=Deployment_Guides&fn=Cisco_VCS_Multiway_Deployment_Guide_X5.PDF

Series L (T150) endpoints may not trigger a Multiway call according to the docs, but which may have changed since the doc is a bit outdated now.  They can be attached to a Multiway call however (L6.0 or higher).  MXP requires F8.0 or higher.

If no one who works for you, your only option is to configure the Codian to create a new ad hoc conference on incoming calls to the conferences of the unknown and then give your a prefix of Service H323 MCU so that all calls with this prefix will route to the MCU and start a conference by using this code.  Make sure that your parent model has digital ID H323 and SIP registration active.

The Codian in itself is not able to force someone to use for Multisite; This seems to be what you might think from model issues.

  • TMS 14.3.1 played not well with Codian MCU 4520 - bug?

    TMS 14.3.1

    Codian MCU 4.4 4520 (3.57)

After upgrading from 14.3 to 14.3.1 MSDS that I find THAT TMS is no longer recognizing the Codian as being registered at a Registrar SIP (VCS - C x7.2.2) and active SIP server address is empty.

As a result, it is no longer allow me to plan only calls SIP; that is to say:

In the above Conference, participants at the Summit must be either H.323 or SIP, participating below place SIP (JabberVideo customer 'business'), as well as participating number 3 (customer 'free' JabberVideo).

Before the upgrade, I've always had the choice of SIP, H.323, and if necessary, IP, now I have only the choice of H.323 and where appropriate, IP.

Curiously, when using multi-way, it will connect to the customer external jabber.com as SIP - SIP, while in a scheduled call, he'll be H.323 - SIP and appeal in the VCS - E it actually displays H.323 - H.323.

I have no problems with the old MPS800; Active listed address in TMS SIP server as per normal, and I can choose to H.323, SIP and IP.

    So, is this a bug?

    /Jens

Please note the answers and score the questions as "answered" as appropriate.

In the MCU configuration.xml, should say something like:

    user_name VCS.example.com"registrar_name =" example.com"="[email protected] / * /"/ >" "

The field that is empty in your TMS screenshot ("Active SIP server address") must have been populated by proxy_name value in the confiuration.xml that I can see.

EDIT: looks like we have made a code change in TMS 14.3.1 when it comes to check the address of the SIP server: in previous versions, read and used TMS 'registrar_name', but from 14.3.1, it reads and uses the "proxy_name" instead.

  • Codian MCU 4505 content encryption is not possible

    Hello

    I'm having a problem with MCU 4505:

If I put the SIP trunk to the Codian MCU (to route calls with a specific prefix) for the MCU to TLS instead of TCP, the content channel could not be seen on other participants. I see in the statistics of participants, that the content string is sent from one endpoint to the MCU, but not received from the other particpiants. In the view of the Conference, I saw the following message:

TX of content: encryption is not possible

I checked the docs, but the description of this cause is not really free explaining:

The MCU is unable to send the encrypted video content to this participant.

If I put the trunk for TCP, no encryption is used and the sharing prentation works as expected. Basically, the encrpytion works fine, because the audio and video channels are received and sent as expected.

No matter who else knows this problem or ideas how to solve this problem?

    BTW: Versions of software:

    MCU 4505 4.3 (1.68)

    EX60 TC 5.1.4

    Jabber 4.5

    C20 TC 5.1.4

    Kind regards

    Paul

    It is noted as a known bound in notes;

"The transmission of content SIP of the MCU by using the binary protocol (BFCP) ground control is not supported on.

encrypted calls. To allow content to pass on SIP calls in a separate main video channel, you should

Disable encryption on the MCU or target endpoint. »

The MCU supports the transmission of content encrypted on H.323 calls only, but not the SIP.

    Running 4520 Codian version 4.1 (1.59)...

Using a username of the administrator.  Problem is when I change, add, or remove an end point that page indicates the change but when I refresh the page that does not change?

    Any ideas...

Also, I have to login with the administrator account and the problem even surfaces...

    Example:

I change the name on a update Select endpoint, the vertical entrance says changed edit but then go back to watching and does not show the change.

I also deleted endpoint in the list and it indicates endpoint has been deleted, but when I update it always there?

  • CUCM (Cisco Jabber) - VCS - MCU (failed appeal of SIP - SIP)

    Hi all

in our Videoinfrastructure, there is a little problem with cisco jabber client registry on the CUCM to our MCU.

The MCU is inscribed on the VCS.

If I make a call my Client of Jabber Cisco SIP call has failed. I call the number 4925488XXX. The callingparty is the 25203232.

In the CUCM, there is a Routepattern who translated the «Called Party Number» number = 8099 (this is the SIP Trunk for VCS).

    Called Party Transformations:

    Called mask = 8XXX

Take the numbers Instruction = None

    Prefix =

    Called number = 8099

In venture capital, there is a transformation for the 8099 dialed.

The MCU is registerd with [email protected] / * / on the VCS - it's self attandant.

In the Cisco Jabber client I never receive video or audio of the MCU AA - it looks like the call's not connect.

If I spent a glance in the VCS, I see the appeal as active and connected.

Also, I traced the call made by the VCS in debug mode.

    Good bye

    Stefan

Hi Stefan.  I would probably run a Trace SDI on the CUCM as well.  Seems the cancel is coming from CUCM side and end the call.  To check that your possibly fall on: CSCty07061, I could run the trace of the SDI and see after reception of 180 ringing of venture capital if he tries to do a DNS query for @mcu.

    The entries may look like:

    | 1.3508793, 63, 100, 2 ^ 10.52.36.15 ^ *.

    11:20:09.377 | / / SIP/SIPDns (2,72,1) / wait_SdlDnsSrvRecordRsp: received specified SdlDnsSrvRecordRsp is - 1. 0, 0, 0, 0.0 ^ * ^ *

    11:20:09.377 | / / SIP/SIPDns (2,72,1) / copyRecordRspToRecordReq: query retry SRV as a 1 request | 0, 0, 0, 0.0 ^ * ^ *

    11:20:09.377 | / / SIP/SIPDns (2,72,1) / wait_SdlDnsSrvRecordRsp: hostname (DNS A or AAAA query called a query SRV Fail) = mcu

    --------------

If that's what your race, false address to solve the @mcu would be required for the call to go forward.  I have this based off the coast an explanation here, but cannot actually ensure that it's what your run in.  But check the trace of the SDI AFTER the 180 ringing and see.

    I hope this helps.

  • Why replace MSE 8510 MCU 4.4 with Telepresence Server (3.1)

We have a with MCU 4.4 MSE 8510. Looking at the software accessible to the general public, that looks like that I could replace the software with the telepresence instead server software.

Why I do this? What can I win (and lose) by? I don't have any old CTS systems, just Jabber, MXP and C systems. Is telepresence server software that is actively developed while the old software MCU is not?

    Thank you

I agree with you, Codian MCU is the best.   =)

This is why I think Cisco is not going to add MCU multi-screen support, because if MCU multi-screen support, I don't know that all customers would not want to migrate to server TP or buy a new server TP.

But because of these two main features of server TP, we think about its use, who are the multimonitor support and support for the optimization of the resources with the driver.

Many Cisco! As always... In this way, they can keep the two products on the market, MCU and GST.

  • CTS500-CUBE-Cisco TP server, video connection fails

    Hello

We strive to interoperability with TelePresence server configuration (8710) at our facility of TP. TP server is located in our "public network" that external callers are connected to Codian MCU via Highway VCS or VCS.

Internal TP network is connected via Cisco CUBE on TP server IE.

TPNetwork - CUBE - VCS control - TP Server (8710)

CUBE is set up according to the recommendations for TP intercompany calls, but the result is:

CTS500-> server TP: No Video, audio only call

TPServer-> CTS500: Start with video & audio and video dropped after 1 second Audio is more or less whistling and hissing noises (incompatibility of codec perhaps?).

So my question is, what is recommended config for CUBE to get this working?

IOS version is 12.4 T last updated corrective.

    CTS500 is running 1.6.7 (4212), CUCM 7.0.2 and TP server 2.1 (1.33) (Build 9.4 (1.33))

  • Cisco series C Top Bar top in presentation Mode

In presentation Mode, the C Series codec displays an overlay of bar status (IP address, Cisco logo, time etc..).

Unfortunately, this can be a source of distraction or worse, can cover the parts of the presentation to the local public.

Is it possible to remove this bar?

    Eric,

This has been fixed in a later version of TC5.x, see below for more details.

CSCtx15428 : bar the top is always visible, even in full screen and in calls

    Symptom:
Banner with Cisco logo and clock widget appears on the display when in a call.
    Conditions:
Running TC software before TC 5.0 and a connected over HDMI device loses connection and is re-connected.
    Workaround solution:
Perform a reset of the device factory.
    Alternative procedure via GUI:
    (1) connect to the web interface of the codec.
    2) go to Advanced Configuration > output > HDMI > OverscanLevel
    (3) change the overscanlevel to high and save. The video will be reduced to the
    middle of the screen.
    (4) change the overscanlevel to zero, as it was before and save. The video will be
    return to normal.
Widgets and Cisco header should be gone.

  • No network on computer - 2 routers, 1 no CISCO router.

    Hi guys!

I hope someone can help me with that.
First some information about what material I got.
I got a Cisco 860VAE router, I didn't get no cable from the console (so I'm connected to telnet), I got a home router also (got it from my ISP).

I use my router I have of my TV service provider, so I can't remove it just... boring...
I was getting the Cisco router because I am a Cisco CCNA student at my school (first year) and I thought it might be cool to NetFlow

The router I got from my ISP is quite advanced so not a lot of options here. In any case, it uses the 10.0.0.0/8 range IP
Then my CISCO router uses the ip range 192.168.1.0/24

The problem is that I can't connect to the internet from my computer (I know...)

    int vlan 1

    IP nat inside

    Get rid of these:

    IP route 10.0.0.0 255.0.0.0 GigabitEthernet0

    IP route 192.168.1.0 255.255.255.0 Vlan1

You don't need them because these two subnets will be seen as connected routes.

You will also need to add a default router in your dhcp pool:

    IP dhcp pool ccp_pool

    default router 192.168.1.1

And you can get rid of this line as well:

    by default-gateway IP 10.0.0.100
