Computer tun off itself frequently. What should I do about it?
Hi VistaBaudio,
It is difficult to give advice when there is no PC in front of one. The problem could "possibly" be overheating. The BIOS of the PC is usually set to turn off the machine if the internal temperature rises to a particular level. If you have a laptop, you can't really take the machine apart to reduce the heat; However with a desktop computer you could remove the side panel and then use your pc and see if the problem persists. If ity is not then overheating is probably the problem - it maybe this dust accumulated on a number of components and the machine needs a good cleaning.
My advice would be to take the machine to an engineer qualified PC and if he looked. BOUGHT AND INSTALLED windows 8 NEW ACER a few weeks ago and now have decided to return the ACER. What should I do to get windows 8 transferred to a new pc? can I "return" windows 8?
thxs for any help
You must first remove Windows 8 on the computer by restoring it to its factory State. This will allow you to transfer the license to another computer and reactivate over the telephone:
New computers that come pre-installed with Windows often have what is called a recovery partition. This is used to reinstall an operating system in the case of a system failure. To access it, you need to start when you start your computer by pressing a function key. This can be either F1, F2, F9, F10, F11, F12 key DEL or tab. See the manual that came with your PC for instructions on how to reinstall Windows.
This is how the recovery partition is accessible to most popular brands...
For Acer, press and hold ALT + F10, as soon as you see the logo
------------------
Continue to install 8 Windows on the new computer and reactivate by phone if necessary:
1. press the Windows key + X , and then click run, and then type: slui.exe 4
2. then press the ENTER"" key.
3. Select your "country" in the list.
4. choose the option "activate phone".
5. stay on the phone (do not select/press all options) and wait for a person to help you with the activation.
6. explain your problem clearly to the support person.

How do you know that you have these errors?

Something to try...Connect the camera to the computer via a USB cable and
Turn on the camera. If open windows... Close them.
Reach... Start / computer / removable devices
Storage...Look at the drive letters and see if one of them
represents the camera. He can say removable diskIf the camera is recognized... right click on the drive letter
and from the menu choose... Open or explore. The directory of the memory card in the camera must
poster and if you browse through the various
files, you must find the photo files.Once found... you can copy/paste the pictures in a folder
on your hard drive.Simple and the best solution IMHO is to use an internal
or external USB memory card reader. It will not drain your camera batteries and can be faster.
FWIW... download from the camera when batteries
can be low after a long photo shoot could result
corrupted photos. You have a USB media drive internal or external?
Insert the memory card into the correct location on the media player...
If open windows... Close them. When the card is inserted... If you go to... Start / computer... is
player card on one or several removable disks?
(You could say, "devices with... of removable storage")Removable (e :)) drive
Removable disk (e :))
Removable drive (g)If_Yes_you can download photos from there. Left click
the drive letter that corresponds to the memory card must
display the directory of the card and you can copy and paste or
Drag and drop the photos of your choice in a folder on your hard drive
drive.Just a select group of photos do a right-click and choose... Copy...
then navigate to the folder that you want, and then right-click the
folder and choose Paste. And it may be interesting to try to adjust your AutoPlay settings.

Not sure what they could have done while they had remotely
access. That's why I strongly recommend you do both of the
immediately following:1. change all your passwords, mostly all banks or any other
financial institutions.2 reinstall Windows properly.

Help! Screen of my HP Mini 311-1000 turns off randomly. What should I do?
Well, it happens randomly, and it happened only maybe three times... When he died, I can't do anything but press the power button and hold it down until I can turn it back on. Help, please! I've had this laptop for maybe more than a year, and I certainly don't want to buy a new one.
Hello
Most likely the GPU (video card) can not handle the load, and this can also cause the machine heats. Should also help keep the cooler machine may help and play lower resolution videos.
Kind regards.

HP Tech support person told me that my computer has a virus. What should I do?
Order of business was introduced to solve this problem, and HP began to solve this problem when I was disconnected from them. Always have viruses.
Try to run Microsoft Safety Scanner:

It will help eliminate the malicious and other Virus software.

Without you provide other information, such as the error message you see, no one can do more than guess
Do run as Administrator http://forums.adobe.com/thread/969395 [says again and also to Adobe all emissions] will sometimes fix errors "weird" or "authorization".

Windows xP SP 2, try to upgrade to SP3.
New terabyte of hard drive from Western digital.
Celeron 2.66 ghz with 1.85 GB of RAM
Tried to download full SP3 from the Microsoft Web site, but during the installation it could not go beyond a scrobj.dll which, to the
time is named scrobj.dl_. I tried to rename it but it is still stuck at this stage.
Hi Michael,
1. What is the full error message or error code?
2 have you made changes on the computer before this problem?
ScrObj.dll, is Microsoft Windows Script Component Runtime.
I suggest you to re-record Scrobj.dll and check if it helps.
Type regsvr32% systemroot%\system32\scrobj.dll, and then press ENTER.
Problem when installing Service pack 3, refer to the following Microsoft article.
Steps to take before you install Windows XP Service Pack 3: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/950717
How to troubleshoot an installation fails in Windows XP Service Pack 3: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/950718
Note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.
Keep us updated on the status of the issue.

I have no sound on my PC laptop Toshiba Equium suddenly, what should I do about it?
Hi, all of a sudden my internal speakers on my laptop are no longer works. I uninstalled the drivers from speakers on the Toshiba site and reinstalled them. They are Realtek hidef speakers. The sound in my system tray icon is showing that works very well. Poster as Device Manager works normally. Any ideas as to what I should do? Thank you
Hi Andyjames2008,
Thanks for posting your question on the Forums of Windows Vista.
I will need more information to help you better.
1. have you made changes on the computer?
2. how old is your computer?
3. have you already tried to connect external speakers and check if you get the sound?
In the meantime, I recommend that you try the following.
You can try to perform a system restore on the computer to an earlier date, when you were able to hear the sound from the internal speakers. You can follow the part 2 of the given link:
http://support.Microsoft.com/default.aspx/KB/936212
You can also try right-clicking on the "speaker" icon and select the playback devices.
When opens his window check that the speakers are selected as the output device.
If you were able to get the sound from external speakers, I suspect the internal speakers wiring may cause the problem, and in this case, you will need to contact the manufacturer of the computer. You can get the contact information from the following link:
http://www.CSD.Toshiba.com/cgi-bin/TAIS/support/JSP/home.jsp
Hope the information will help. Please post back and we do know.
Thank you & best regards
