Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.

Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...

Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.

See you soon.

If the above does not work, try to make a Bootable ERD to do a Startup Repair:

As is the case with most computers/laptops these days, they do not come with good Vista disc to repair only the recovery disks.

As your grave in the category above, download the ISO on the link provided and make a bootdisk of it.

Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.

When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.

You can make a tool to restart system, System Restore, etc. with it.

Read all the info on the website on how to create and use it.

http://NeoSmart.net/blog/2008/Windows-Vista-recovery-disc-download/

ISO Burner: http://www.snapfiles.com/get/active-isoburner.html

It's a very good Vista repair disc.

You can do a system restart tool, system, etc it restore.

There is not a disk of resettlement.

And the 32-bit is what normally comes on a computer, unless 64-bit.

See you soon.

I have a hp pavilion dv5-1170ei and he had problems with the audio and the quick launch buttons after the upgrade to Windows 7. I decided to update the bios, because it was the only thing that I had not updated. Now, the computer is frozen with the update of the BIOS still running. I had the same problem with a dv5-1199ei and it worked fine after upgrading the BIOS. Either way, I upgraded from Vista Home premium to Win 7 Ultimate.

I don't know what to do.

    Help!

I had the same problem of problem freezing the computer during BIOS update. I have a HP Pavilion DV5 laptop 1126ee. When I update the bios, I don't notice her latest version of the bios installed on my system. I tried several ways of the various positions in the HP support forum. But I couldn't boot my system. Finally I could start my system. find the steps I did: -.

I first create a crisis recovery HP 2 GB USB key

downloaded Bios F.16A file on the HP (for HP DV5 1126ee) support site

Then copied 3602F16. FD AND 3603F16. FD TO USB

and renamed its copy to 3602.BIN, 3603.BIN, 3602.WPH, 3603.WPH, 3602F16. BIN, 3603F16. BIN. All files in the same USB BIOS.

Then I unplugged the power and removed the battery.

Insert USB drive into the system, Hold Windows + B button, plugged in the power and turned on the laptop. When the USB key is charge flashing I took out the key combination. Then I heard a unique single beep (before checking time is 2 + 1 beep and continuous beep). After the shutdown of the system 2-3 minutes automatically. Then I removed the USB and turn on the system. Now my system works perfectly.

  • Windows 7 BSOD after accidental shutdown during the update

Stop computer accidentally during the update of windows. Now computer stuck in a loop of startup blue screen. Safe mode and windows recovery all lead to the blue screen. I don't have a recovery disk. What should I do?

    Hello

According to the description of the problem, your computer is stuck in blue screen loop. So, I suggest you to create installation media by following the steps described in the article mentioned below and after that try to run automatic reapir.

Download Windows 7 Disk Images (ISO files)

After you create the Bootable USB key, change the boot priority and set it to USB. If you are unsure it is advisable to contact manufacturer FRO even. After changing the boot priority is trying to start your computer by using the bootable USB key.

To run the repair to start the Windows recovery environment (WinRE), follow these steps:

    • Insert the Windows installation disc in the disc drive, and then start the computer.
    • When the message press any key to start from the CD or DVD is displayed, press a key.
    • If your PC does not automatically detect the media
    • When the computer reboots, read on screen for instructions that explain how to interrupt normal startup and access the basic input/output system (BIOS) configuration utility. Most PCs use the F2, F10, ESC or del key to start the configuration of the BIOS.
    • Looking for a tab in the BIOS configuration utility that is labeled boot order, The Options of Bootor Boot. By following the instructions on the screen, use the arrow keys to go to the boot order, and then press ENTER.
    • Locate the flash USB, DVD or CD player (this could be called removable device) in the startup list. By following the instructions on the screen, use the arrow keys to move the drive to the top so that it appears first in the startup list. Press ENTER. The startup command sequence is now changed to boot from the flash drive, CD, DVD, or USB.
    • Press F10 to save your changes and exit the BIOS Setup utility. Select Yes in the confirmation window. The PC will restart.
    • Select a language, a time and a currency, a keyboard or input method, and then click Next.
    • Click on repair your computer.
    • In the System Recovery Options dialog box, select the drive of your Windows installation, and then click Next.
    • In the System Recovery Options dialog box, click on repair your computer.
    • Click the operating system you want to repair, and then click Next.
    • In the System Recovery Options dialog box, click Startup Repair.

For more information about System Recovery Options, see What are the system recovery options in Windows?

For more information about the Startup Repair, see Startup Repair: frequently asked questions.

Hope it would help. If problem persists always post back with the current state of your computer and the result of the proposed suggestion, we will be happy to help you.

Needless to say, cutting the current during the update process can cause all sorts of problems - many not even related to the update itself.  It is a common branching.

Do you know when this problem started?  Try a system restore to a point in time BEFORE the problem started.  Here is the procedure: http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/using-windows-vista-system-restore/.  Don't forget to check the box to show more than 5 days of restore points.  If the first attempt fails, then try an earlier point or two.  NOTE: You will need to re - install any software and updates that you have installed between now and the restore point, but you can use Windows Update for updates.  I don't know if this will solve the problem, but it might.  It's worth a try (and it can be useful if there are other problems that you have not yet detected).  Whether or not it works, you will need to re - install the update (and this time won't turn off - LOL).

If you still have the problem of validation after system restore, and then click Start / computer / system properties and check the bottom of the Activation section.  Your system always shows that it is enabled?  If this isn't the case, then reactivate.  To activate manually, go to start, search, and type in slui 4 enter.  Enter your country and press Next.  You will be on a screen with a phone number and a bunch of codes below.  Dial the number and browse automatic guests until you get to a human being.  Have your handy product code because it will be asked.  Explain the situation, but it's the same PC.  They should give you a code to enter on this screen to activate Vista.

If this does not resolve the "not genuine" message, please post your problem in the Windows Genuine Advantage Forum: http://social.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/genuinevista/threads , where the experts on this kind of problem will be more than happy to help you with your problem.  They will probably ask you to run a program and download the results so they can examine in order to find the problem - just follow their instructions.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • Equium A60 Notebook failure during the update of the BIOS

    Hello
My computer crashed during the BIOS update recommended to treat the blue screen error message. I have turned it off completely and now it won't start at all. No lights turn on or it's like there is no power getting to the machine. My outlet does work as I have tested. This could mean my battery is dead? I tried to remove and clean the contacts or the update of the BIOS had something to do with it?

    Thank you
    Phil

Hi, Phil the A60 sometimes fails started well only very rarely that incidentally that happened to me once. To solve this problem requires the removal and re-sitting of the battery pack. However, in your case, it sounds very likely the BIOS update has failed unfortunately is a return trip to Toshiba.

On the Toshiba site I downloaded the BIOS update. While installing I read that it was necessary to supply cable is plugged. Before I could cancel for the cable, he had started and then frozen. The computer stopped working and so I turned it off! Since then, I've read that it was a very big mistake!

When put on the fan starts and I can hear etc cd drive spinning. After 15 seconds, the screen is blank, the computer starts beeping!
Is there a way to solve this?

    Thank you very much
    Rich

    Hi Richard

Seems not good buddy from your description, that something went wrong during the update procedure and now the ROM module has been flashed properly.

Maybe you area lucky man and the motherboard isn't too bad, but only the Rom module must be flashed again.

Unfortunately, this must be done by the technician of the ASP. You will need to contact the ASP in your country for assistance.

Good luck and have a nice day

    Hi all.

I tried to update my friend with Vista Service Pack 1 computer, but it froze during the update.  I tried to cancel the download task manager and restarting, but it is now fixed on the 'day of the installation.  Do not unplug or turn off your computer"screen.  It made no progress.  Can you force shut down the computer?

    Thank you
    Angela

    Hello

give him a little more time

If it continues like that and you must stop and restart problems, try the following steps to solve this:

1st thing to try would be a restoration of the system in safe mode

    http://www.windowsvistauserguide.com/system_restore.htm

    Windows Vista

    Using the F8 method:

    1. Restart your computer.
    2. When the computer starts, you will see your computer hardware are listed. When you see this information begins to tap theF8 key repeatedly until you are presented with theBoot Options Advanced Windows Vista.
    3. Select the Safe Mode option with the arrow keys.
    4. Then press enter on your keyboard to start mode without failure of Vista.
    5. To start Windows, you'll be a typical logon screen. Connect to your computer and Vista goes into safe mode.
    6. Do whatever tasks you need and when you are done, reboot to return to normal mode.

If that does not read this information

the link below is how to download and get a vista disk startup repair, which you can start from the

    http://NeoSmart.net/blog/2008/Windows-Vista-recovery-disc-download/

Here's how to use startup repair system restore command prompt, etc. to bleepingcomputers link below

    http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial148.html

to boot from the dvd drive to be able to you will see a way to get into the bios Setup at the bottom of the screen or command menu start

It would be F2 or delete etc to enter the BIOS or F12 etc. for the start menu

Change boot order it do dvd drive 1st in the boot order

  • Re: Restoration of windows after abrupt during the update

    Hello world

Last night I was updating my windows on my Toshiba laptop, however, my laptop suddenly shut down during the update process.
Now, when I start my laptop, I am invited as a system error and I have to put my windows CD to continue. I've never had a CD of windows, and nor have I made a disc of recovery yet, so is it possible possible for me to connect to windows again? I use windows Vista.

    Any suggestions would be grateful.

    Thanks in advance

You can enter advanced with F8 at startup startup options?
You can get Vista in safe mode?
Repair my computer option is available there?

Try to use this option and you will enter the system recovery options. One of the options it is start repair or system restore.
Try to fix the system or roll back the OS to an earlier time using System Restore.

    Hello

As far as I know that the BIOS crisis procedure may be crazy by a technician of the ASP.
You can not download a version of traditional BIOS who can update the BIOS from a USB FDD floppy.
You can download only focused on the victory of the BIOS that can be run so that windows operating system is running.

In my opinion, you should get in touch with a local ASP!
