Computers on the ghost network

Hello
I'm helping a friend with its network of small business office.
I don't have all used Vista but I am strong user of Xp
Are behind a Netgear FR114p firewall firewall and have 3 Vista 64,
PC1. PC2 and pc3. PC2 has a printer (usb5) usb which is shared with pc1.
When you add the printer to the mapping network poster pc1 and pc2 pc3.
then the printer is added, but the test page does not print.
All computers have been setup with vista standard network options selected
All use dhcp. all three are supported iv6p.
the PC1 network name is network4 and see the local and internet access
the PC2 network name is networking6 and show to local and internet access
the PC3 network name is work and shows access to internet

PC1 and pc2netwok maps show the following
computers: pc1, pc2, pc3, oc-pc1 and pc2-OC pc3 map shows just pc1.
PC2 and pc3.

When I looked up pc1 printer installation it showed printers location only
\\pc-oc\usb5 (xps). This computer (pc2-oc) is not real.

What are these ghost computers? Is it a private network local iv6p?
How can I get info on them? Can just the gasket on the watch i

printers.
I don't have access to the network right now so I can not answer in detail

questions. I'm sorry I bad form...
I would get pointed in the right direction for this problem.

Shared on my LAN Macs make their appearance is more after the installation of macOS Sierra. See the attached servers is checked in the preferences of the Finder and the computers appear in the list of DHCP clients on the router. I can see these computers to each other. Sharing is disabled on the computer of the Sierra. Any ideas?

    Thank you!

p.s. I can not even 'go' to the IP address of these computers.

Correction: I can afp: / and vnc: / to IP addresses (and so far as a temporary solution, I assigned permanent IP addresses in the router on all computers on the local network). Once I afp: on a local computer, it appears on the side bar of the Finder under shared devices, well I saw several times it appears and then disappears. Nothing has changed on the network since the installation of Sierra.

  • One of the computers on the local network Windows XP cannot access a http site.

I ping to the alpha-numeric address (on this computer) and ping uses a private IP address: 198.168.88.68 (all packages are lost).

All computers on the LAN access correctly.

When I ping at the same alphanumeric address on other computers

They ping 204.38.19.76 and I successfully received all return packages.

I connect using my Internet provider ADSL router. I know it does NAT and all my LAN computers get their IP addresses dynamically.

I thought it was a problem of Internet Explorer, but after I discovered the computer resolves the ip address for the external address as a private IP address. I force the PC to get another IP address and also I had used: ipconfig/release, ipconfig / renew. And even by configuring it with a static ip address does not work.

  • CAN´t find other computers on the home network Windows.

I have a home network windows already defined with two desktop with Windows XP and a laptop with Windows 2000. The computers are connected to a router with ethernet cables and the lap top wireless (WiFi) to the same router. Now, I'm trying to connect a fourth computer (a desk top) with Windows Vista. It works fine to connect to Internet, but I can't reach the other computers on the network. On other computers, I can see a 'new', but I don't see the others of a "new". Can someone help me with the configuration of the computer "Vista"?  Thanks in advance.  / Thomas

    Hello

To home network computers running different versions of Windows, we need to make sure that what follows.
    a. ensure that all computers are in the same workgroup.
    (b) the value of the private network location type.
    c. open ports in your firewall to allow file and printer sharing.
d. turn on additional file and printer sharing options.
    e. consider using password protected sharing.
    5 using the network card.

The NIC in the network and sharing Center is a graphical view of the computers and devices on your network, showing how they are connected and including problem areas. A computer running Windows XP can be detected and appear on the network map, you may need to install the Protocol Link-Layer Topology Discovery (LLTD) on this computer.

To install LLTD, visit the following link and download: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/922120

    Hi all!

I had this problem and goes out at least once a year...

When I go to print on any computer through wireless connections, computers can't find the printer.  The printer is turned on and connected to the network, and network results show that everything is fine.  I did everything, including restarting the printer, by restarting the computer tries to print the form and reinstall the printer, and I get the message "Printer" not logged on computers.  Each moon blue, if I leave it long enough, he will find somehow the printer and printing, but as I said it's extremely rare.

Logistics-wise, I am using Comcast for cable internet, and are all Apple products.  The modem is a Motorola and the router is a Linksys.  The router is less than 25 feet from the printer, and there is a clear shot-not walls or to block the signal

  • Slower than other computers on the wireless network

    Hello
I get a download speed that is slower than the other two laptops using my wireless network. I have 20 MB broadband and get ~ 3Mbps when I test the speed. Usual maximum download speed is 12-15 Mbps for other laptops. Download speed (~ 1 MB/s) and service effiency (92%) are the same I have connect directly or connect wirelessly.
I plugged directly on the wide-band receiver and speed was ~ 12 Mbit/s, then there is a problem with the wireless connection.
I ran diagnostics using Intel PROSet and there seems not to be problems. I can't understand why the download speed is stuck around 3 Mbps. Any ideas?

  • To access the files from the computers on the same network.

We recently bought two Macs and an airport Time Capsule as we were told that it would allow us to access the files from one computer to another. Run us a business out of our home and require both Mac to be able to access the files from each other or have at least a common location to save etc. Both Mac is put back up automatically and lift you under the "Shared" section of the Finder. The airport shows also here as well. I don't understand how to get this to work so that I can share files easily. Any help would be appreciated.

Open the system preferences sharing pane, start sharing files if necessary, and then use the connection to the server command in the Finder menu go.

  • Network map displays all computers in the company, but I can't access it.

I just do a fresh install of Win7 Pro 64 bit on my computer here at the office.  When I'm in the file browser, I should be able to click on network and see all the computers in the corporate network.

I used to be able to.  Now I have not.  I have the location set for work and I belong to the same workgroup as the rest.  I all file sharing and discovery enabled under Advanced setting options.  When I click on "View full map" from the network and sharing Center, I can see all the computers and get information when I hover. I have a Satellite 650 d Windows 7 64-bit on a home network - there are two other (non-Toshiba) computers on the home network as well (both run W7 - 64-bit, 32-bit)
