Connection has limited or no connectivity / wireless network not detected

So two problems here

1. I used to transfer studies ultrasound scanner for my HP Mini 110 - 1025DX PC. For this I used to establish a connection to the system, where the name of the internet connection was same as in HP mini and address IP was also the same, except for the last digit (i, e XXXX:XXXX:XXXX:XXX1 vs XXXX:XXXX:XXXX:XXX2). Firewall Windows should also be disabled for mini HP transfer studies. I repeated these steps after reinstalling windows but icon in the mini bar of task HP says limited connectivity or none and so I can't transfer studies. How can I solve this problem.
2-HP mini also has Wi - Fi. Is there a way can mini HP tell me networks wireless in my range so that I can choose mine, key network related so that my wireless internet access also starts to work.  I'll be very grateful for any help.

You want to connect your mini to the ultrasound with a cable machine and the mini to your wireless router to access the Internet.

The next part of the instructions

Right-click on the icon for your wireless adapter and select Properties

should have been

Right-click on the icon for your Ethernet card, and select Properties

in order to properly configure your Ethernet (wired) connection to the ultrasound machine.  Sorry for the mistake.

And, of course, if the mini is connected to the machine to ultrasound with the Ethernet cable, it is not to connect to the Internet via cable.

Maybe you need to explain more clearly what the situation is.

  • The ultrasound using a cable or a wireless connection?
  • You want to be able to plug a cable between the mini and the ultrasound machine and when you have completed data transfer, connect a cable between the mini and your router?
  • When you "used to transfer studies ultrasound scanner to your HP mini" could you unplug the cable from the ultrasound machine and connect it to your router and connect to the Internet?

    You are welcome.

To enable connected HP support options, click the devices tab.  Touch the icon and enable webservices. If you have already activated webservices, touch "Print information Page."  Claimcode of the printer to add the connected HP printer. Or, if you want, call our technical support at the 800-474-6836. I'm sure that the printer you see so-called 'Network' would be wireless. • T400 no wireless device not detected in Device Manager.

    Hello

I have a problem. I bought a new T400. As for specification - it has WLAN (EAN: nm322us).

    Dealer information:

    Wireless network Yes

    Standards wireless a/g/n

Type of wireless card Intel WiFi Link 5300AGN

But no wireless network card detected (in Device Manager), when the computer starts.  No in the bios for the WLAN mac address. So, where is a problem? A dealer cheated me and there is no WLAN in this computer? Or are there problems with the detection of devices of MS Windows Vista Business? Can anyone help? Thanks in advance.

Solved. The problem was that activate WLAN in BIOS was 2 places -strange. Update BIOS maybe after. Before the upgrade - as usual-, I looked in the network section (to activate WLAN). There was no option, besides, to activate the wired network. I don't know if it was in the other section (System i/o ports) before the BIOS update, but in my opinion - in any case, it's strange to Wired and wireless in separate sections network devices. Thank you very much for the help.

  • Wireless network not always connects successfully on HP ENVY 5644

Just bought a new HP ENVY 5644 device to replace an existing of my HP Photosmart C4380. The new device for the first time and ran through the initial configuration using the built-in touch screen. Everything seemed to be going easily and smoothly, without any error and even connected to my home wireless network on the first attempt.

I then tested the printing and scanning of the characteristics, which each provided extremely pleasant results and good performances on the wireless network.

Unfortunately, this is where my story ends happy and boredom begins!

After initially set up the device in a temporary location, I've properly turned off to transfer it to its final resting position. Even if it were in another room of the House, it was actually closer to the router of network wireless itself. In reality, we are talking about a very significant distance that the 2 rooms are in fact back to back each. So, now with her in her new role and connected to a power outlet, I turned on the device once more. The powers of the unit upwards and the blue light that indicates the status of the wireless connection, continually flashes blue rather than a blue fixed solid. Blinking blue indicates that the device is unable to establish a wireless network connection. If I use the touch screen to investigate the matter, I think there seems to be an authentication problem and the details of the message are bad password (WPA) wireless entered.

Why has this happened? Nothing has changed, everything that I've done is not move the printer in another room!

Believing that the touch screen tells me, I decided to run the Wireless Setup Wizard once more to confirm the wireless network settings. As expected, he manages to find my home wireless network without any problems and then requests the password key has been entered. I go so it correctly and press on apply. It is at this time that the device tries to connect to the network, that unfortunately crashes, return the above error message. However, I know that I entered the password correctly, in fact, there is an option to display the password that you entered before attempting the connection, which, while they inspected, confirms that the password that I entered is good!

Then why does it not connect?

I tried to turn on the wireless feature, turn off several times via the touch screen interface, but this has not solved the problem. The only way to get the connection Wireless online is to keep turning on the unit, switch off again until the wireless light solid blue. Without apparent reason, wireless seems to have a mind of its own, only connected to my wireless network when she wants to!

I have no problems with many other wireless network devices I have in my house, from several manufacturers and even located in other parts of the House. I know that my wireless network is good and I know that my password wireless like the back of my own hand, so there is no chance of which is incorrect. It is purely a problem for the HP ENVY 5644 itself, device which can be confirmed by the fact that if I turn it on and turn it on again, it could decide to establish a successful connection even if I have nothing to its own network configuration, or my own configuration of wireless itself.

Ask yourself whether or not it might be of some obscure incompatibility between my wireless router and the HP ENVY 5644, I tested the unit with another router to spare than I, who was also from another manufacturer but unfortunately the result is the same, the HP ENVY 5644 connected only when he wanted and would establish only the network connection Wireless when switching on the device. If the connection fails, it will never connect to the network unless you turn off and turn it back on, which may require even been attempted several times before success. Once connected, it seems to stay connected and then works really well.

This behavior is not acceptable and I'm sure that's not too healthy for the device itself to be turned on and off again at these short cycles. Otherwise, overall, as I said earlier, I am very happy with the product.

Can someone at HP tell me why this is happening or suggest what I need to seek or consider.

Talked with HP engineer the other day. I explained to him what was going on and they suggested to do a factory reset and then set the IP address manually rather than using DHCP from my router wireless home.

I wasn't too happy about it as everything has been well installation and work, except for the WiFi do not reconnect all power over. I also had a go better, adding a DHCP reservation in my router by using the MAC address of the printer. Indeed, it is the best of both worlds that the printer will be given the same IP address by the router whenever he asks for one.

We agreed to leave things as they are rather than the reset of the printer and I would now turn off the printer every day. For the last 4 days, the printer has reconnected to WiFi at all power over. This is excellent news.

I have a call on request with HP in the coming days to discuss how things are going. If everything continues as it is, it would seem that to specify that a wireless router DHCP reservation solves the problem. While I wait for the next call to HP, I continue to power on / off power to the printer on a daily basis.

    Hello

    Please contact Microsoft Community.

The main reason for this is that they at least have a device that is not working properly. We get generally 18 error code if there is a problem with the device driver, which is most of the time fixed by uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers.

I just set up my network with password wireless connection and configure my router on the IP 192.168.1.2. , but to be

honest im not sure person cannot access my network and record everything I have on my computr.is is it safe? Please tell me know if you

    don't know.

    Hi saba161,

If you have the security key settings of the wireless network that turns on encryption. With encryption, people cannot connect to your network without the security key. In addition, any information that is sent on your network is encrypted so that only computers that have the key to decrypt the information can read it. This can help prevent attempts to access your network and your files without your permission. Common wireless network encryption methods are Wi Fi Protected Access (WPA) and WPA2.

Safety is always important; with a wireless network, it is still more important, because your network's signal could go beyond the boundaries of your home. If you don't secure your network, people with computers nearby may be able to access the information stored on computers on your network and use your Internet connection to get on the web.

  • Computer Dell laptop connects wireless but not online

I have a Dell laptop that I bought about five months ago. We just bought a router wireless about two weeks ago and it was working fine until a few days ago, when the internet connection is slow all day until we have reset the internet modem itself. That day, my computer wouldn't connect to the internet after a few hours of surfing on slow internet. After that reset us it, he started to work very well. Then, the next day it was working fine until it just stopped to let us browse the internet. My desktop computer that uses a USB connection wireless and the Xbox 360 with WiFi, both work. Now, I pressed my button wireless countless times, and I am connected to my network with almost full bars. Some of the software on my computer can connect to the internet, as the update of windows, but I can't use any internet browser - I use Safari, but I tried as well IE. When I look at the plan of the connection, there is a line dashed to the router from my computer, but he always says that I have full internet access. Has connectivity IPv4 and IPv6 is not. I tried to uninstall my card, but it did not reinstall rebooted once and I undid the system restore I had tried a few days earlier to pick up my internet. We also tried to connect with an ethernet cable - says there is connection, but also will not let me do anything. Also, I ran diagnostics on my cards and Windows said reset, but I still have the problem and it "resets" whenever the diagnostics are executed. IP address of my router starts with 192. I've searched and searched for answers, but nothing works.

    The new answers?

  • Active wireless network has no profile in manage wireless networks

When I go on manage wireless networks, Windows does not display my active network.  When I try manually create a profile for this one and enter all relevant data, it says "access denied."  How to get access?

XP, Windows is automatically connected to the network at startup upward.  Now, I have to manually type in the Code of the key every time until it will connect.  Is it possible to configure Windows 7 to store the key Code and auto connect to the network at startup?

In order to get that control as much as possible as quickly as possible, I downloaded and installed the key registry GrantAdminFullControl that allows any folder right click and select full control of the grant Admin for this folder.  In addition, display hidden files in Folder Options so I could arrange, name and categorize folders to the Start Menu for all users.  I right-click on each folder and subfolder on computer to gain so much control that Windows would allow.  Also, disabled UAC temporarily trying to solve the above problem.

Still no "access denied." I think that if I could manually add a profile for my network, I could find an option allowing Windows to remember my key Code so that when I start the computer, it has auto login and connect wirelessly without the need to enter manually each time code key.

The people of router tried for more than an hour to solve the problem.  Says the problem is on the side Microsoft, and I entirely agree.  There is a stroke of luck in Windows 7 prevention auto connect.  No problem with XP.

    Hello

It seems that if the wireless profile is not saved on your computer. Without the wireless recording profile, it can not connect without providing you the key each time.

So that it can remember without autoconnecting security key, follow these steps:
-Connect to the network, and select Connect automatically.
-Open the center network and sharing (via Control Panel).
    -Click on manage wireless networks.
-Find the profile to the network, double-click it.
-Uncheck connect automatically when this network is in range, and then click OK.

Now, you should find that it will remember the security key

To activate the automatic connection to a certain will make WiFi network the following.

    1. click on start
    2. click on Control Panel
    3. click on network and Internet
    4. click on network and sharing Center
5 next to view your active networks click on connect or disconnect.
    6. do a right-click the unwanted network and select Properties.
    7. on the connection of the new window tab check "connect automatically".

See if you can auto connect the network wanted in the next boot.
