  I think that this is a null modem cable.  That worked for me.  I have attached a PDF file I found that explains how to create hexagonal RS232 commands for Samsung screens.  I tried a little of this list and they worked for me.

  I have a genius pump more syringe (manual attached) and I need to be able to control the flow of the pump in real time of the computer, using a dial to to the top or the bottom rate as I see climb. I used the basic series vi in read/write of the examples just mentioned another detachment and he contacted the unit very well using the commands contained in the manual.   I did it with these. Knowing what the switch is in the on position is important in order to send the bit to the correct address. Difficult but doable.

  Hello

  I have a sbRIO9636 and test instruments. I want to just connect sbRIO and test instruments (with RS-232).

  I am trying to connect RS232 (9 pin) via serial ports... I also Measurement & Automation Explorer (version 5.1) to monitor and configure the series/parallel connections.

  The problem is that when I have a request, it seems that my device is not correctly recognized. I get errors of expiry.  VISA-1073807202 error. But when I connect Test instruments directly to the PC, NEITHER Max shows COM 1 and can get the data from the trial instrumnets. This means I can get the data from the PC, but I can't do the same with sbRIO9636.

  How can I make sure that my device is correctly recognized? My COM1 port is enabled at all? I don't see COM Port NI Max for sbRIO9636.

• Why forms and landing pages do not stay tied on canvas campaign?

  I'll put up some test campaigns to run this week to test our integration between Eloqua and our two instances of SFDC (and get wet feet with the E10). Since I'm an addict of the E9 for several years, I still get the hang of the E10. Yesterday, I tried connecting my e-mails on campaign backdrop to the correct forms and landing pages and today I see that the links have disappeared. I also noticed that I can not connect two emails 'steps' in a form and a landing page, even if the emails from the links in the same form and the landing page. The system made me create duplicates on the canvas of the campaign. Anyone can shed light on what I'm doing wrong? Why the links disappear and I should have duplicates of the form and the landing page? Screen shot included below.

  I was very pleased with the recommendations for a simple storage solution, good market/mid-range, I use both on the Board and in my editing room.  I read all of your tips, but I'm not always fully in the discussions.

  I capture and edit about 8 TB of 4 k R3D footage.   I would like to get to 10 or 12 TB of storage, so we may never fill up to more than 90%, including audio.  I'd be interested to hear the RAID 3, 5, or 6 solutions - anything from a box with cable unique e-Sata for installation of a controller.

  It would be great if it was relatively easy to set up, transport and rebuild if a drive has failed.  Ideally, I want her to be on the set with a portable non-edition.  We would take the cardboard RED of the camera and then transfer files from the RED card through the laptop on the RAID via maybe e-Sata, USB or firewire if the laptop has e-Sata.  Then, I would like to modify several months using the same RAID with my workstation.

  Above all, it will be simple straight cuts in first with 1 or 3 layers of effects, but at the end we probably want to use AfterEffects for VFX and color correction is within Adobe, or most likely through export of DPX files.

  My workstation is running CS5 on Windows 7 Professional 64 - bit with a card mother X58A-UD3R, i7 930, 12 GB of RAM and a GTX 470.

  You will get only the 230 MB/s, if you get one of the higher end E-Sata cards that are normally $ 250 to $ 350 depending on the manufacturer. BTW that still will not work with your laptop. You will need a controller to E-Sata express card with multiplexing support to use this E-sata Bay with her likely anyway. As I said more to edge E-sata ports do not support multiplexing which is necessary to connect a multi-baies like that via 1 E-sata port.

The higher end E-Sata controller will handle ok until the volume becomes over 65% of its capacity. If you want smooth reading then pass the SAS road. The other options will barely get done in many situations where, as the SAS will handle most if not all with this material.

  D: no, any sata drive will work. Readers of 10K just read and write faster.

  F: 6 Gbps rarely makes a difference on the mechanical drives right now. However, it offers a higher rate on the controllers because of the PCI-E Gen2 that support controllers and plu channel flow. So yes it is important on the controller, but not readers. SSDS change this dependant on the question of whether or not the variable speed drive is optimized for the 6Gbs. Currently SAS or SATA 6Gbs isn't. I don't think that it is still an E-Sata specification.

  Well, it's free, so that you could try as well. I expect not much based on the specifications of the card I can pull up. It does not support same raid 6, which is unusual most accept cards really cheap. This means no doubt also the raid configuration utility is not the best but it never hurts to try to see if you want to that unit. You can always get another raid card later if you don't like the management or performance. Do not forget that the raid controller decides how parity is good and reliable verification is. Be sure to keep a backup of the raws if data loss would cost any significant financial loss.

• I can't find com ports in Device Manager. Trying to interface with a counter digital multi via a RS232 connection.

  The software supplied with the meter has enough summary documentation.  When I tried to open the software, a window pops up saying that the port com 1 cannot open. I used baud rate settings that the software manual recommends but no help. Then, I uninstalled the COM ports. Now they are gone and I don't know how to re - install.

  UPDATE: I've read elsewhere that the BIOS should have the com port activated, so I went into the BIOS and of course it was off. I suspect that it is off all the time, because the software failed to connect to it when I first installed it. As soon as I have it set to com 1 everything works.

  AFAIK the RS-232 port is a serial port and I don t think that it of possible to connect the RGB port to the RS232 port.

  I wish I can hear other users with iOS multi devices if they are in need like me do not have any sharing between their devices with their own single apple ID mainly iPhone devices in WiFi even or even not even WiFi... with respect now, it's a problem for a few months and still not resolved and people continue to fight on this issue.

  If you share an Apple ID, call logs will be shared. Some people have reported success to stop this behavior by turning to iCloud by car. If you need this feature, you're stuck with the sharing of call logs, until Apple decides to change the way the phone works. Just because you don't like not the feature does not mean that it is a bug. It simply means that this is a feature that you don't like.

• USB RS232 "is connected Port" "invalid property value".

  I'm quite new to this so if all the below is not clear or needs more explanation Let me know and I will try to provide information.

  I'm trying to integrate a device in my LabView program. Of its guides, that I could find on the site OR mentioned most NI MAX goes first and then working them down. My camera is an RS232 port, so I connected via a USB converter, and I know that I'm looking at the right port (COM5) to look at the section "manage devices" on the control panel.

  All series settings are set up properly, I would say (the user manual ishere, with 17 being the party and my setup herepage). I tried to test commands, he gave me on the input/output section, but constantly came up with the error "VISA: (Hex 0xBFFF0015) timeout expired before the operation is complete." Initially, I thought I entered orders incorrectly, I find instructions in the manual that is confused, especially compared to the things other users have posted on orders ('\r' and '\n' instead of what I am told to write, but I agree that mine are not always literal characters).

  But when I went back to "Display attributes" connected "East Port" final attribute has an error with the "invalid property value" and the warning Hex 0xBFFF001Derror. Because of my inexperience with all this, I don't know where to start really trying to solve this problem, or what measures are in place, I need to do to start working properly.

  The property "is connected" is only for devices of NOR so if you have another brand of converter, you would ignore the error.

  Hi ggarza.  RS - 232 is not designed for more than two devices to communicate.  It might be possible with enough

  diodes and prudent to programming, but I expect it would be a challenge.

  A better approach would be to use RS - 485, which is designed to support more than two devices.

  already have a RS-485 port.

  RS232 standard does not impose itself to be kept alive in some way, so I guess that's your remote device that requires it.

  In any case, you could create a timer of 1 s and having his reminder send periodically the CR on the serial port.

  To avoid conflicts between this task and in the rest of the application, you can use a lock: basically, after you have created the lock, each function that wants to access the serial port must call CmtGetLock (), work on the port and call CmtReleaseLock () afterwards. If the lock belongs to another function, other functions when trying to get access are frozen waits for the lock, so you must be careful in the design of COM function so that they are quick. If you do not want to have a function be blocked waiting for the lock, you can use CmtTryToGetLock instead of CmtGetLock. You will find some information about locks in this tutorial as well as in this chapter program ' s reference.

• connect a spex 1702 spectrometer via rs232

  I'm trying to connect an old Spex 1702 spectrometer to our computer via RS232. I have a few vi downloaded from the HORIBA website that are supposed to work with this series. When I run the 'Start-up.vi' which is supposed to make the connection between the spec and the computer, all I get is the red error light. I am fairly new with Labview and know virtually nothing about RS232, help or suggestions on how to get this connection would be appreciated! Thank you

  Former pilots used outdated serial drivers that won't work with the newer versions of LV

  There might be newer versions of the drivers are circulating, but I ended up making my own versions of VISA rather than wait for the manufacturer.  Please note that this was a nightmare to migrate...
