The problem I have is after the task sequence installs the operating system and drivers it reboot to windows 7, once it restarts the USB ethernet is no longer installed so the task sequence will fail.

I use a Dell fm76n usb ethernet for network device and I have created a driver package to install the driver supplied with the unit but it will still not set please help

RESOLVED:

The issue seems to be related to the driver 'bus PCI. When I removed this form the driver package my OSD task sequence finished without any problem

  • Re: Play Peek-a-Boo with USB - driver problem

    Hello

So far, I had no problem with my laptop and windows 7 (32 bit), but there was a problem from the start. my system was not able to detect all the drivers, for the moment, I got 2 unidentified "base system devices.

At least one of them has got to do something with my USBs, when I connect a plug & play carpet dance for my laptop, it plays basically peek-a-boo with me - recognize something was plugged, but without realizing realize that he is.

One of my friends even phone sex and BONE, he had no such problems.

When I try to install the utility driver Support page, suitable for my 'edition', it will stop saying that I have not the common module installed on my system.

Any help possible? As said, some drivers are missing, which are supposed to make my USB hubs identify devices again, but I know who exactly do not exist, or where to get them.

Thank you for every little trick

    Hello!

It looks like a network configuration problem. Check the network addresses and configuration in command line with the command ipconfig/all.

Try using static IP addresses. I think that the DHCP server takes a long time to go send an IP address to each laptop.

  • XPS 8500 USB 3.0 Port forward problems

Ports USB 3.0 on the XPS 8500 give me bad, and from what I can tell, it comes from a physical problem with the port hardware.

I can acquire and maintain a 3.0 connection when I plug my WD Passport drive or a Rocketfish hub propelled into the ports on the back. Connected to the front, however, I can sometimes 3.0, sometimes only 2.0 and rarely even get no connection at all. Connection I get to the front, if I move to sentence (like touch), the cable or the plug connection can change back from 2.0 to 3.0. Writing on a drive that will prevent mobile 3.0 to the front.

I noticed that the physical connection of USB plug on the port is more solid at the back than the front. A cable plugged into the rear port 3.0 is able to travel further and the rubber around the contacts of plug of cable on the back of the computer. On the front ports, the connector does not travel in too far, and the rubber of the USB connector is about 1-2 mm of front cover of the computer. A 3.0 cable on the front can move much more than a through the rear hole. I should mention that I have no problem with the USB 2.0 cables or devices in these front ports.

This isn't a driver problem, it is a problem of the plug 3.0 doesn't not not solid contact in the port. Dell must cease to use the current material in front port and to find a more appropriate part. Then, they can replace all the front ports on the XPS already shipped 8500.

My problem with USB 3.0 before XPS 8500 ports seems to have been resolved by the new cables. However, my initial assessment of ports before being too loose, making it difficult to get good 3.0 connections still holds upward. To save their customers and themselves from many headaches, Dell needs to find a replacement part for these ports before issues.

Everything that I had to test this with a WD Passport 3.0 years was HARD and a new Rocketfish powered 3.0 disc hub. Using the cables of original, these devices connected to ports at the back, but not the front. If I held the plug and stuck firmly in a front port, I couldn't sometimes 3.0 connection - although as soon as I let go of the plug I would lose the connection 3.0 and it would immediately reconnect as a 2.0 device.

I bought a 3.0 a mini-B cable for direct use with the WD drive and a 3.0 extension cable A-male to female for general use. These cables make very positive connections and seem to contribute to compensate ports before release. I can use them in any combination on the front (or back, of course).

You think that the problem was simply the cables and had nothing to do with the front ports. However, if I plugged the new extension to the front cable, I could then connect the WD drive to that using the original cable that would not connect directly on the front. Which tells me that the strength of the connection of two front port and the original cable was low. Trying to connect these two weaknesses directly was problematic. Solid connectors of the new cable used between two weak points allowed a good connection. This and the fact that the original WD and Rocketfish cables connected to the rear ports 3.0 without problem, points directly to the ports before being part of the problem.

  • Portege Z30-A-12N with Port Replicator Port Hi-Speed USB III problems

    Hi all

I have a big problem with my new Portege Z30-A-12N and Hi-Speed Port Replicator III.

I connected the power, DVI, LAN, mouse and keyboard to the Port Replicator.
Power, DVI and LAN are okay, but none will be found if I connect something to the USB Ports 2.0 or 3.0.
No mouse, no keyboard, and no USB key.

When I start my Portege I must enter a password after you press the power button.
These password, I could enter with the external keyboard, but in windows, no keyboard has been found.

If I connect the keyboard and mouse to the USB Ports of the Portege instead of Port Replicator, the two has been found.

I ran Windows 7 Enterprise on the Portege.
    BIOS version is 3.30

Do you have a solution for me?

    Hello

    The HI-SPEED PORT REPLICATOR III PA5116E-1PRP supports 2 x USB 2.0 and 4 x USB 3.0 ports.
You n t special need Win 7 drivers in order to be able to use the USB ports or other interfaces such as VGA, DVI, audio, etc.

Sound problems, make sure that the audio device has been selected in the right panel-> sound-> playback tab

By the way: Win 7 needs USB driver 3.0 which is preinstalled when the laptop was equipped with USB 3.0 ports. My knowledge if your mobile phone does not support USB 3.0, you will be able to use the port replicator USB 3.0 ports.

Finally and above all devices must be connected before you start the computer. The decision supported and compatible specifications: Portégé R30 - A, Tecra Z40 - A, Tecra Z50 - A, Portégé Z30-A/Z30t-A, Tecra A50 - has

Since I upgraded to El Capitan I have several, serious problems with USB devices:

1 USB hard drive: everything by watching a video from an external hard drive, the hard drive will be to disassemble all the minutes, the video will be of course hang and it takes 45-60 seconds until the drive reconnects. 2. I can't transfer my Sunny BT11 of beam data more. The Sunny Beam is a device that records the data of my photovoltaic plant. The overview of the system he sees when connected via USB, however he is not recognized and so I can't transfer data files. Also, it makes not a difference if it is connected via a USB hub or directly, the two versions do NOT work. In the Finder preferences, all devices are controlled to display on the desktop.

The two scenarios always perfectly work with my Mac mini that has not been updated and uses Mac OS X 10.10.

  • Problems with USB 3.0

    Hello people!

I'm here with a need for help to solve a problem that I recently got after reinstalling my windows 7.

The problem is with USB 3.0 driver, which does not react to any device I plug on two of the ports, and they are not dead I checked that. I tried to re - install USB 3.0 drivers as well and downloaded from HP site for my model, the latest version has failed so I tried with the other older and did not work as well. Only my two USB 2.0 ports work.

I don't know if there are any other versions or drivers that I could use, those for my model don't work for some reason, and this is the first time I did re-installation of windows for that.

I would be very grateful if someone could help me solve this problem!

The laptop model is HP Pavilion dv7 - 6113cl

    Kind regards

  • Problems with ports ethernet E4200

I have problems with my ethernet ports on my router E4200 V1.  I do not get on flow rate of 12 Mbps on a single connected wired computer.  If I replace it with a simple switch 5 port I get 60 Mbit/s using the same cables.  I looked through the creation and cannot come up with any solution.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

    Mike

OK I tore across the network.  Started from scratch and found the problem.  It is quite strange, but everything works fine!

I discovered through the process of elimination that the cisco router did not like my Panamax Lan UTP.  Cisco is apparently more strict with the signal than the simple switch or refurbished netgear router.  I had the protection on the power strip 6 Max near the iMac.  The totally weird part is that slowed down the entire network.  Streaming is now pending on 60Mbps at each connection to the local network.

Thank you all for your time I walked through this weird problem.
