Re: Play Peek-a-Boo with USB - driver problem

Hello

So far, I had no problem with my laptop and windows 7 (32 bit), but there was a problem from the start. my system was not able to detect all the drivers, for the moment, I got 2 unidentified "base system devices.

At least one of them has got to do something with my USBs, when I connect a plug & play carpet dance for my laptop, it plays basically peek-a-boo with me - recognize something was plugged, but without realizing realize that he is.

One of my friends even phone sex and BONE, he had no such problems.

When I try to install the utility driver Support page, suitable for my 'edition', it will stop saying that I have not the common module installed on my system.

Any help possible? As said, some drivers are missing, which are supposed to make my USB hubs identify devices again, but I know who exactly do not exist, or where to get them.

Thank you for every little trick

Great! Thanks for letting us share this last info

  • Superdrive Apple USB drive problem

Situation: The internal superdrive on my MacBook 2009 stop working while I bought a new USB Superdrive.  And only after I plugged it in, has indicated that it is incompatible with my computer.  After reviewing the advice here, I said that most of the optical USB drives on the market are compatible with my computer, so it's something to look at.  However, this year I plan to get a new MacBook, date at which I will need an optical drive that works with newer computers.

Question: Will be one of the current after the market of optical drives work with the new MacBook? Or should I just keep the Apple Superdrive that I currently have to use?

    Thank you in advance.

No first hand experience, but I think that number of external optical drives from third party works pretty much any computer that has USB (and much less expensive than the Superdrive).  The only glitch, I know is that application Apple DVD Player can bother but there is a harmless hack that gets around that, or you can use an alternative player such as VLC (I never use DVD player).

You can browse the web site OWC/mac - ventes.com.  If you know exactly what you want and need no support there are many places to watch it's maybe a dollar or two cheaper but every time that I'm not sure I call them and ask and am happy to spend the little extra to support the customer.

  • __Vista and external hard USB drive problems. __

I have an old USB Maxtor attached an external hard drive with vista home premium.  It was working fine until I left for two weeks.  Now, vista starts up with this drive connected.  When I unplug the USB connection, it starts OK.    Second, but related.  I use this drive to Flash the pictures on the box of the gadget.  Works OK for a bit, then the photos appear more.  I redefine the source folder to make it work again.  The two problems are related to the external hard drive.  Is it vista, usb or drive?

    Hi Vinnie,

I suggest you try the following steps to refine the question:

Step 1: connect the USB device to a different USB port and test it.

When a device is not functioning, Device Manager also typically displays an error message with an error code that comes with it. First, search for errors in the Manager of devices to do this, follow the steps below:

Step 2: Disconnect the USB device, then on startup, check for the error code in Device Manager

    1. open Device Manager by clicking the Start button, click on the Control Panel, clicking system and Maintenance, and then clicking Device Manager.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
    2. in Device Manager, look for the USB device, and then double-click the device name.
    3. under the gaze of general tab for the status of the device for any error code indicated.

  • 5515 with photosmart driver problem

I have problems to make the photosmart 5515 drivers employment. I am running windows 7 on a toshiba satellite c670.

Software installation cannot find the printer on the network, even if it is connected and firewall is turned off.

More disturbing still, the installation software also does not appear to identify the printer when connected via USB, even if the laptop recognizes the usb connection.

I rebooted all systems, turned off the firewall and checked all the suggestions in the troubleshooting guide.

I even tried to uninstall and reinstall the driver download.

    All attempts have failed.

    Make me very frustrated.

I think I finally tracked the problem and hope to have solved.

The software installation tool has downloaded the wrong version of the driver. It seems I have a d 5515 printer, but it has been download a 5515 driver has that (surprisingly) completely does not work with the d 5515. Once I found it and downloaded the correct driver, things began to work on the USB port, even if wireless connectivity is still not working. I lost confidence to try to resolve this, then goes to live with USB.

There was no warning or alerts on the incompatibility of different versions of these drivers and driver autoinstall tool has completely failed to address this issue. There was no information on the label printer indicating it is which version of the printer, and HP systems has no ID of the printer by using the serial number correctly.

Overall, I spent 10 + hours going round in circles with installation tools HP printer, which could easily have diagnised question but just told me to reboot the router, then try again. A very annoying feature is that you cannot leave the installer hp or HP Print doctor if the configuration of the printer is having problems. You have to go into the Task Manager and kill the installation application.

Overall, very impressed - the installation of the device more painful I had over the years.

    Hi all

I tried to find a way to solve the problem I encounter without success, so I decided to join this community and hope that someone else came across something similar and has been able to solve.

I have two identical HP notebook computers (HP Pavilion dv6 - 6123cl) and both of these computers have exactly the same problem. After you have reinstalled Windows 7 for some reason any USB ports on the left side of the laptop are not recognized by Windows, leaving me with only 2 USB ports available. I downloaded and installed all the official drivers from the HP site but the problem remains still. Device Manager will not find the drivers and it drives me crazy because all the USB ports on both computers worked very well so far. What am I supposed to do?

Any help or suggestion is highly appreciated.

    You are the very welcome.

  • TECRA M1 with HARD drive problem

    Hi all

I have a Tecra M1, 1.6 GHz, MS Windows Xp sp2 German version. My computer has a problem.

Whenever I restart the computer, it started very slowly. I logged on and there were Windows to notice that my system has problems.

I ran several application software and a full blue screen came out with some opinions, such as

    KERNEL_STARK_INPAGE_ERROR

    .
    STOP.
And the notice advised me to restart the computer in safe mode.

I restarted in safe mode, then I restarted in normal mode, but the problem persists.

Reinstall MS Windows system using the recovery CD to fix it?

Or do I have to send my computer to a point of service of Toshiba?

    Thanks for your suggestion.

    [Edited by: admin]

    Hi Cuong

If there is no way to repair OS the best way is to reinstall the OS using Recovery DVD. On this way, everything will be like at the beginning. All drivers and tools will be installed properly and that this problem will be solved.

If this problem happens again maybe some malfunction of the equipment.

  • No device USB Driver problem

Whenever I plug a USB device on my HP Compaq DX2450 running XP P3 I can never get it to be recognized. I am currently using a portable USB 6 - LED Night Vision PC computer Web camera. It is not supposed to have all the drivers but my computer will not recognize. Any advice would be appreciated.

    Hi stewp00,

What is the brand and model of your webcam?

Can you provide a link to the manufacturers Web site?

I suggest trying the webcam on another computer to test the material for the failure.

If the computer doesn't recognize that a device has been plugged in, does not have the USB ports, the USB cable connected to the device does not meet or does not respect the camera.
