Create a Playlist on a Sansa Clip

I have a Sansa Clip. I created a playlist on Windows Media. When I did a sync more steeply to appear not all the songs, but there is nothing in the section Playlis. How can I create a Playlist named on the clip?

There are several ways to create a playlist for the Sansa Clip.   There are a lot of messages on the forum.   You can search for other means.  http://forums.SanDisk.com/Sansa/search?submitted=true&q=creating+playlist

There is a way to do it through WMP, and there is a good article on the knowlegebase:

http://KB.SanDisk.com/cgi-bin/sandisk_en.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=6&p_created=1221199598&...

And here's one on translating a m3u list:

http://KB.SanDisk.com/cgi-bin/sandisk_en.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=224&p_created=122370050...

It is a small utility for the Sansa e200 series, but I think this would work for the Clip/Fuze well.

http://www.AnythingbutiPod.com/Forum/showthread.php?t=2381

http://www.download.com/Sansa-playlist-creator/3000-2169_4-10723962.html

But what does the easier for me in MTP mode, is to open the Clip in Windows Explorer, open the directory of the music.   Select a group of files mp3 and then right click on them and select create playlist.   This may not work in MSC mode.

Good luck

  • Being probably really stupid, but I can not get my Playlists on my Sansa Clip

    Hello!

You just bought a Sansa Clip 8 GB for the United Kingdom and I'm very happy with it - many of my CD then tried to get smart (?) transferred by creating a playlist, put a few songs in there and synhcing to the top with Clip - no joy!  The read-only list that I see on the Clip is "GoList" and the only way I can add songs to the one on the camera itself - not ideal but doable.

Have updated the firmware on the clip to the latest version with no improvement - can't seem to curb any personal playlists - I even tried to create a playlist called 'GoList' to see if ir would crush the GoList playlist on the clip.  There can be no.

I use the clip with Windows Xp Home Edition (SP3) which has WMP 11.0.5721.5260 and have the unit as automatic detection modes MSC and MTP mode did not work (the computer does not recognize the device)... I think that mode MSC, PlayLists don't synch?

Any help / advice would be appreciated gratefully.

    Jim.

Thank you very much - now that I know that playlists are not supposed to synchronize in MSC mode, I'll invest my energy to get the mode MTP to work... just thought I was missing something really obvious.  In terms of achievement of the MTP mode work there are loads of articles and advice in this forum and elsewhere on that - I probably need a update driver MTP or need a better version/reinstall WinXP HE or something like.

As I am totally new to the unit - and digital music in general (been in the dark ages too long!) I really did not know what, if anything I was doing wrong.  Your answer really helped (and it is not indicated in the user manual or the docs supplied with the device) once again, thanks a lot.

  • Transfer from Windows Media Player to Zip Sansa Clip

In the end, I am creating playlists on my Sansa Clip Zip. So I think THAT I have to create a playlist in Windows Media Player and then sync my Sansa Clip Zip. For some reason any I am only able to see 5 playlists, but I know that I have created several of them. In fact, if I try to create a new play list using a name I know, I created, it is said that there are already. How can I see ALL my playlists?

Also, if I click on playlists for the Sansa Clip Zip it shows I have 9 playlists, but I can't see what they contain!

    Hi Nymickey,

I suggest you to contact the Sansa Clip Zip support for better support associated with Sansa Clip Zip and check if it helps.

  • File, Sansa Clip BUG of the German characters not responsible for playlists

It seems that the Clip can not load music in a playlist file if it has a German character:

    (2, b04) Walküre-second aufzug - so ist're denn aus mit den ewigen gottern.mp3

The word 'gottern', the file not be in the playlist when I see in the Clip of the Clip is able to read the file directly.

This is an unacceptable bug having to DELETE all of these foreign characters!  My music files are loaded with such characters and they are important!

I tried to change the game language Deutsch did not work.

The solution is to create the playlist with AutoM3U and use the M3U8 format.

  • Windows media playerwill not sync with my Sansa I plugged it, created a playlist, then clicked on 'sync' but nothing happens

I created a playlist in Windows media.  I have connected my Sansa MP3 device via USB connection cable and sound the sync button to copy the playlist but nothing happens.  I checked my Sansa and it has not automatically copied to the other.  How can I go there when the sync button does not work?

    Hello Jane136,

Ø you get an error when you try to run synchronize your device with the media player?

Ø have you tried to format your Portable device and then try to synchronize?

Ø you have the latest version of the software or the driver installed on your computer to the MP3 player?

Try to copy the files of music from Windows Explorer. Most MP3 players will appear as a "disk" on your computer, and you can browse the files on them by simply opening.

I suggest that you format your Portable device, and then try to sync with Media Player. To format the laptop drive:

    1. right click on the Portable media player.

    2. Select the option.

    3. choose quick format and click ok.

  • Trying to create a playlist without Windows Media Player?

Is it possible to create a playlist without Windows Media Player? I VideoLan if that's any help.

Here's the question: I did the test.m3u file, which is placed inside the folder "Music" with the following content.

    #EXTM3U
    1\test.mp3

If test.m3u exists in 'Music' and 'test.mp3' also available in 'music '. However, when I access the "Playlists" menu inside the Sansa player and then click on the 'TEST' playlist, it reads as "EMPTY". Why is this? Is it just that he can't find the MP3 file or have I done something wrong with where I placed everything?

    Any help is appreciated.

I have successes by creating playlists m3u on my Sport Clip with music files organized in several subfolders using VLC Media Player.

First of all, I use Win Explorer of files to create subfolders on my Sport Clip (internal or external memory) to the title of the music. Then I copy my mp3 files selected from my HD in different subfolders of music on my Sport Clip

Then, I use VLC Media Player to load the mp3 files on my drive in the VLC playlist window.

Can I use "Media-> Save Playlist to file-. > Save it as "abc123.m3u" and save the new playlist in one of the subfolders music on my player.   Then I can use music mode or map view on my Sport Clip to select the playlist and listen to music files through all subfolders.

  • Organize the Audiobook on Sansa Clip +.

I'm relatively new to the Sansa Clip. I want to put an audio book on which has a set of 11 disks. I created a title on the drive under audio books. Now I want the title create 11, disk1, disk2, etc. subfolders, to copy the torn in each folder of s to do 11 playlists under the title. That doesn't seem to work. Is this not possible.

Then I thought about being smart and merged all tore up the files from one disk to do a big mp3 fle (60 + MB) and do this 11 times and copy them under the title and create a playlist. The player doesn't and hung. What gives? Any help wil be appreciated.

Well, this is what I discovered. Each record indicates that a separate under audio books book. So I changed the label of the album of each disc to the Heading1, Title2 etc and it works. Thank you all for your help. Very much appreciated.

  • Help! My Sansa Clip + is no longer recognized by my PC when connected by USB port!

Reading, the latter time, ' said, 'written' only when connected. Normally, he alternates between the 'Reading' and 'Writing' when it is connected to the PC and, therefore, it USED TO BE recognized by the PC in these conditions. The device is not recognized in Windows Explorer as a device or disk as usual. I use Windows 7. The device is not recognized by Windows Media Player synchronization purposes: I can't synchronize playlists of music more.

You try to reset by pressing the power button / stop 20 seconds does not help.

Using different USB ports does NOT help.

The cable using different USB does not help.

    Another computer has NOT appeared.

Jonathan Bailey: Version V01.02.16A, isn't it?
Kyle Ahmed: It seems that the version is up-to-date.
Kyle Ahmed: The reason why it took more time to update the media earlier must be because of the large amount

Jonathan Bailey: OK, for 2 500 songs, it usually takes about 15-20 minutes
    Kyle Ahmed: I understand.

  • Help - I am trying to create a playlist with Winamp

    Hey guys,.

I'm having a nightmare of a time.  I just got my Sansa Clip and I'm creating playlists on it without WMP.  I already searched the forum, widely and looked here for the better part of 3 hours and finally I decided to just post a new thread since the 'old' do not seem to help much at all.

I am running Windows XP sp2.  I'm trying to create the playlist in Winamp.  My video is in MSC mode.  After following the instructions, I finally found here, I could create a playlist * and * it worked.  There are two problems, I met at this stage.

    (1) after you create the playlist in Winamp, I have to unplug the Clip, then reconnect it before the playlist occurs.

    (2) after #1 above, there * 2 * identical entries in the 'Portable' of the Winamp Media Library list, each with the same media list and playlist list.

    (3) if I click on the playlist in Winamp, the entry is completely empty.

There must be a simple way to create/edit a playlist on the clip.  But as I said, 3 hours later and I'm hardly closer to a practical solution.  Almost everything what I found in the forum and online are either old or only offer pieces of the puzzle together.

Any help would be appreciated wildly.  Thanks in advance!

PS. for some reason my computer is unable to upgrade to WMP 10

    1. Yes, it will not be displayed (on your drive) until you disconnect and updates the database.
    2. I never use the 'Portable' list Simply go to 'Preferences Library' Winamp > media > click the spyware Folders tab and the button "Add folder...". ». Access the letter of your Clip (E: for example) device. Click on the button "scan now". Now he 'sees' your Clip in the library, not the hard drive of your computer. From there, you can assign songs to your newly created playlist, and you shouldn't get playlists [empty] after you are finished.
  • Problems of playlist on 8 GB Clip +...

I'm at my wits end.  I successfully used the method of Windows Explorer to create playlists, for my new Clip +, but when I disconnect the player and go to see the results, the first selection that is put in place becomes read ONLY list that works.  No matter if I plug it again, delete and recreate via computer, change the USB settings or anything like that.  Once disconnected from the comp, I'm going to choose a playlist, the player will have a second or two to apparently make up the list, and it is successful. But if I go back and try to choose a different list, the SAME SONGS in the FIRST chosen are responsible.

I tried to use different USB connections I've read here in the forums without success.  I am facing the same problem as above. Other methods here, I recently tried to create playlists, and none have worked entirely:

    1. with the help of WMP, but that was before I found the USB MTP setting, and not, it seems, even once, I will have to delete all my content to the reader and reinsert it using WMP to (maybe) try to recreate playlists? I don't think so.

    2. I tried using the free "on Sansa Clip Playlist Creator" app, but he does not even see the Clip when it is connected, any USB setting is used.

    3. If I try to create a playlist to choose any folder the folder "music" in the drive using the free version of "Playlist Creator for SanDisk Sansa Clip 2.32" results in "No. music or Audio files found." Which means that I can't select all the downloaded files currently in the drive. So, which defeated the purpose in creating a playlist, really.

    4. use of Playlist Creator 3.6, as suggested for a similar problem from the playlist on this thread: http://forums.sandisk.com/t5/Clip-Clip/Problems-with-playlists-on-Clip/m-p/127538/highlight/true#M26...
.. .the results in the playlists created as display empty in the player's menu.

A further search of the forums, my problem seems similar to what "belowzeros" has had on his unit to this thread: http://forums.sandisk.com/t5/Clip-Clip/weird-playlist-problem/m-p/102264/highlight/true#M24226
    .. .but I don't use Winamp and I'm on Win7.

What I'm doing wrong here?  More than a few hundred songs playlists are too big, maybe? I just can't understand it. It shouldn't be this difficult! I am not computer illiterate, so I am confused when I can't find a solution to this problem, no matter where, after more than eight hours of work at home. I am willing to send this thing back re-formatted and done with it or run it on orbit, I'm so frustrated.

Well, now I feel like the biggest fool never... almost everything I had read up to now had said it didn't matter if you left your playlist in the music folder, and some have even said it TOOK they were.  Well, I'm here to tell you that they do not have.  At least in my case.  It could actually HELP matters if they are ALL in the Playlist file.  Because it was my solution.  I have now three selections of work and perhaps more in the future!  It's a miracle!

Thank you for helping me to air my frustration!  And nobody had to say a few words to me... ha ha...

I'm looking forward to a happy future with my video now... no more threatening to launch into orbit, I swear.  At least in the short term.

    Thanks again!

  • Sansa Clip + problems, correct the records but unknown marking and scrambled the tracks. Help!

    Hi guys,.

There can someone please offer some advice for me and my husband before we became completely crazy?

We bought for our daughter the Sansa Clip +, but we are having the same problem occur over and over again.

During his music and audio books have first been loaded above all was fine. Added items displayed in the files and the right places but, now, for some reason when we add anything, the record of the album can be seen, but it also creates an additional folder that displayed as "Unknown". When you go and try to play inside this folder it does not work... "We always ensure that there is proper use of marking we MP" tag, so I know that the questions are not because of it.

We have tried everything we can think of. Tried to update but I think we already have the latest version installed in any case - V01.02.18P, performed a factory reset, put in shape and I have tried using different modes, but it makes no sense. Why everything fine was a couple of days and not now...

We use a 16 GB Kingston SDHC Card inside the Clip +.

Please any ideas would be welcome because it becomes a nightmare.

    Thanks Claire x

I should add that I am starting to think that I can have bought a card SD of FAKE writing is rubbing on the front of the card... IS this likely and if so could cause of the issues I am currently experiencing? XX

  • SanDisk Sansa Clip + 4 GB MP3 player with FM Radio

    Hello-

My new sansa clip + out of the box and I'm not able to do Radio FM works.  Battery is charged.  All I get on screen is a set of headphones and the 'music '.  I do not expect to play music because I have not yet loaded, but I expect to be able to get FM radio but can't seem to get there.  Any suggestions on how I have to happen?  Thank you.

Please note that I do not see a menu of items to select from the MP3 player.  I do not see a "lock" or "unlock".

My computer recognizes the drive as a new piece of hardware.

The reader does not recognize the software on the CD when I put the CD in the computer.

The player does not allow me to make the software what I t hink is the "root directory" for the player.  I guess tha the directory "root" is the "Sansa Clip + 4 GB" or the "internal memory".  It allows me to copy in one of these.   Appears as:

    + The Sansa Clip + 4 GB

    -Internal memory

    + Albums

    + Audio books

    + Music

    + Playlists

    + Podcasts

    + Records

    + Service

My D drive that reads the CD has these files it contains:

Autorun.inf and sansa - install .exe and one other file that reads:

fscommand with these files it contains: dloadrhap.exe, dloadrhap.txt, proxy.bat, proxy.exe

If I do not have need of these, please let me know.  I don't want to stuff more then I need to run the player.

I'm assuming that I need only the files autorun.inf and the sansa - install .exe.

I do not understand what is Rhapsody or why I need.

    Thank you.

    Bonnie

Now, don't laugh at this suggestion, but: when you get the player, there is a transparent plastic sticker that was placed on the screen of the player, which has a screen simulation showing the items that describe you see on your screen - have - you, you take off the sticker? (It generally is a small tab on the right side of the tile to help with that.) Once you do this, the player I hope will begin to operate as expected. On the CD, you don't need at all! The CD is required to use the separate music Rhapsody and optional subscription service (for which you pay every month, after a free trial, usually). If you do not want the service, go to the CD. Finally, you should check and see if your drive is the latest firmware - look under settings to the player and to compare this version number firmware recent listed in the upgrade thread Firmnware sticky at the top of this forum. If the thread here has a more recent version of firrmware, recommended that you upgrade to it-, it is very easy to do. I hope this helps!

  • Order of red herring Sansa Clip 8 gb

Hello, I'm new to this forum, unfortunately I couldn't find a solution for my problem using the search option.

I tag my mp3s (primarily audio books) with MP3Tag v2.43. So far, everything worked fine, I gave all the tracks of an audio bouguerra (several CD) the same album and the name of the interpreter, but different titles (usually, I put the title = track number). But now I encountered a problem with an audio book consisting of 153 other titles. No matter how I name securities securities (they show the correct order in mp3tag), they appear in the mess on my sansa clip, for example, in this order:

    010/153

    020/153

    ..

    100/153

    110/153

    ..

    001/153

    011/153

    021/153

    031/153

    ..

    101/153

    111/153

    and so on...

Is anyone know about this problem and how to solve? I even deleted all the tags and created completely new, the problem occurs again.

The way that you are their numbering can be confusing the player. I do not think that it supports A / B numbering. Instead of their numbering "001 / X", "002 / X", "003 / X", etc., try just of their dial "001", "002", "003", etc.

Additionally, make sure that MP3Tag is set to write your tags to ID3v2.3 ISO 8859-1 format. Other ID3 formats are not supported.

  • My Sansa Clip + freezes on me

I don't know what the problem with my new Sansa Clip +.

It froze on me like, twice. I wouldn't play the next song, or he won't play at all. I have to restart.

I hardly use it. I don't know what's the problem with him. I transfer my bad songs?

And after formatting to remove things, use Kopymac (free Internet) during the transfer of files from your Mac - it prevents the creation/transfer of pesky admin file that creates the Mac, that cause the video to freeze.

  • How can I create a playlist without WMP?

How can I create a playlist without WMP with files stored in my sansa Fuze please?

You can make one in Notepad,

It should contain the path to your music,

So let's say your songs is at F:/music/artist/coolsong.mp3

in Notepad, you must put the RELATIVE path, so if your file to playlist in the folder "music", you get artist\coolsong.mp3

and if it is the root (main folder) of your drive, you would put music\artist\coolsong.mp3

and all files must begin with: #EXTM3U

Here is an example of a playlist (saved in the root

    #EXTM3U

MUSIC\pillar\For the love of the Game\01 for the love of the Game.mp3

MUSIC\pillar\For the love of the Game\02 turn up.mp3

    MUSIC\TobyMac\Momentum\Yours.MP3

    MUSIC\msc\Trogdor.MP3

    MUSIC\Msc\move.MP3

I know it will work because it is my real playlist,

during the recording of brand shure you end the name of the file as .m3u

and change the type as 'save' to all files
