  During my first update using the Desktop Manager, there were 13 steps, and I had to unplug to half way through.

  Now when I try to repeat the process, the update gets steps 1-6 and just after reconnecting to JVM (step 6) I get a "fatal error update device software, please try again" I tried several times and it always stops in the same place.  The phone then has the radio turned off, and I have to restore the connections.

  Whenever I connect my BB to my laptop, "loading device applications" and it is followed by a list of applications, that can be updated, installed or removed.

  After the selection is applied, a window opens saying "Please wait while your applications are updated".
  Below that is "update of", followed by the State of the update (save the 3 rd party applications etc.)
  and below that is "reboot".

  After the backup, I get to the part "connecting for rom to boot", restart BB and a window appears in the Desktop Manager "the list of applications on your device could not be loaded."

  The BB reboots, I reconnect and I'm back where I started, "loading device applications..."

  I tried to re install DM, but not luck.

• W7 - Windows stop at 15%, stop/start pc update and cancel the update automatically before restarting the computer properly

  I recently bought an asus UL30A with W7. Since December, the system tries to install an update, stop installing at 15%, stop and restart the PC and automatically cancels the update, stop the pc again and restarts correctly.   My ADVENT 3217 pc runs windows xp sp3 does not start once a windows recently failed update and restarted. He's just in a reboot loop. The first time it happened I got an error code of c000021a. I tried pressing F8 and try to start safe mode and other options... but still nothing. I also tried to use my restore disc supplied with my pc. So far, I've only tried the non-destructive recovery to restore windows and it did not work. I don't want to lose my files that I have not saved for quite awhile.

• Help the clean installation of Windows 7 Pro and using the GPO to run automatic updates and restart all night

  I am trying to solve a problem that will probably require a new installation of Windows 7 Professional 64-bit. The grace period ends in 3 days, and the next 30 days are final exams at the College.   Install Windows 7 Pro SP1 64 bit > Windows automatically updated and plug the Ethernet cable > define a GPO where the computer waiting for 45 to 60 minutes after installation of updates (so the msi may end in the background, and I do not interrupt the installation) > the PC will restart > more update swill be downloaded and installed > wait due to the policy of GPO before reboot > Reboot > do it until it's over. > wake up with a PC fully patched 7-9 hours later.

  Is this a workable plan?, and if so, how do I define policies such as delay restarting, etc. to achieve?

• BlackBerry Z10 Z10 "Please wait while your device is the software update and restart"

  Sorry if this question has been asked elsewhere but I searched and could not find an answer the applies to my particular situation.

  I have a Z10 on Bell who got an automatic update this morning (I have no note of my operating system version number or the version that I was updating to) and the phone is locked to the prompt "Please wait while your device is the software update and restart."  Update messages said it would take a lot of time and that I should connect my phone if it was less than 20% of battery.

  The Bell's Web site indicates that the version of the software is 10.3.2.2168 and the latest version of the OS is 10.3.2.2252.  I don't know how many times this site is updated, but I guess that's the version that I am trying to update?

  The phone is not fixed... I can see messages turn on the lock screen and interact with the phone to get a glimpse of these messages, but if I try to unlock the phone, the message block appears above any function, I tried to launch (whether a text message, the camera, an email, etc) and I can't interact with the phone at that time otherwise than to lock again and open the lock screen up.

  Thank you for all the answers. Finally managed to get installed it. Download 4 times. Whenever he stopped at different percentages, so I expected the download is corrupt.   It is very possible that your CD may be damaged.  Is it possible to get another copy to try on your machine? Or try this copy on another machine to see if it works or not.
  Also check in control panel--> system--> for you Device Manager make sure that there is no yellow/red icon next to the CD player and it's function correctly.
