  Exactly they disabled the legacy and the entire reason, I had the tablet was supposed to install windows 8.1 and windows 7 together so when I relised that wasn't possible, I was upset, then I well well doesn't really matter island just install windows 8.1 64-bit so that I could make some of my network possibility of engineering then relised the thing does not even support 64-bit "ONE OF THE MAIN REASONS I GOT THE TABLET" If dell only not release 64-bit bios to breast this im months making sure that person doesn't know I have bought another new dell product because they are just greedy and selfish

• Windows 7 Pro 64 bit black screen with the mouse only on startup and nothing else

  Hi there, Windows 7 system recently froze on me when I tried to move a large file on a USB hard drive. I didn't was not able to close the file so I decided to stop my PC with the regular start-> Shut Down.

  Now when I try to turn on my computer, after the "starting Windows" and Microsoft report goes to a pure black screen with just a (mobile) mouse cursor, not keyboard commands or click right work (eg. ctrl + alt + delete does nothing).

  I tried to start in safe mode, safe mode with network, they do the same thing after the "Starting Windows" screen. Tried to boot with my Windows 7 Pro 64-bit installation disk so and entered commissioning repair - no problem. Tried system restore and it went successfully, however after clicking restart is again the same thing!

  It's really making me crazy, could someone please help me? I really want to reinstall Windows and lost my files (since I can't even in a form any Windows Installer interface I'm not able to do a repair).

  Is it possible to upgrade the Dell coming Pro 11 (5130 32 Bit version) to the 64-bit version by installing the 64-bit version of bios?

  And is it possible to update the partition to boot/restore to 8.1 64-bit Windows?

  Initially, the 32-bit version was installed due to lack of driver 64 bits for the atom. But now the driver 64 bits are out and I want to go to the 64-bit version.

  Sorry, but the processor is 64-bit.
  The fact that the venue are shipped with Windows 32-bit is only because Intel do not have a drivers for 64-bit Atom when the place out. Now, the drivers are out.
  The only limitation is the bios. Another manufacturer lets the user to move to a 64-bit operating system and driver with the same processor.
  While it is true that there is a limitation of the hardware on your tablet, its only because Dell wants to limit. Intel has say that this isn't just a limitation of the pilot material.

  For sure, it was my last Dell hardware. No support, no response to no mail, planned, obsolescence no upgrade possible.

• Uninstalling McAfee Dell coming 11 5130 Pro

  OK, stupid trial finished so I launch the Windows Uninstall in Control Panel and it said current with the status bar for about 1/2 way, it has been like this for 20 minutes. How long an uninstall of McAfee takes on a Pro 11 5130? Anyone have any ideas?

  Just to not lose time from anyone on this, I don't end up perform a restart of the judgment of the tablet. It restarted ok so I tried to uninstall again through windows and it did the same thing, just hang. I found myself using the McAfee Customer Product Removal tool and that seems to have deleted it. To my surprise, Microsoft defender was there when I went to install (for FREE) and was running. I don't know if that means that I was running two plant protection products or when McAfee has been uninstalled another lit (hard to believe), but in any case I am back in action. Anyway, moral of the story, get rid of McAfee long before it expires! Thank you Dell to install this in the first place, buy installing bloat ware you really help people, NOT! DO NOT BUY BLOAT WARE and maybe companies will stop at install, please!

• 7140 WiFi Dell's place 11 Pro becomes disconnected during the sleep or awake from slumber

  I have a Dell location 11 Pro 7140 where wi - fi always becomes disconnected when either the Tablet remains stationary for a period of time, or if she woke up from his sleep. Period of time varies - more than 5 minutes, but less than an hour.

  Fully updated Windows Pro 8.1. Use Intel dual-band Wireless AC 7265 adapter with v17.13.11.5 of the driver. BIOS version A03.

  Happened to me on my Dell, but I finally, finally healed it. It is therefore quite simple.

  Someone had advised me to do after doing the thing of power management:

  Go to network and sharing Center, click on change settings card then click right on the listed wireless adapter, click Properties, click on configure once you power management tab, disable the check box which says "" allow the computer to turn off to save power

  "HOWEVER on another forum I've seen someone go back and ACTIVATE / CHECK this check box to allows the computer turns off to save power '.

  Which fixed mine. It seems counter-intuitive, but it works. So if your box is checked, uncheck it, restart the machine, then check again. If you the box is already turned off and then check it in.

  WiFi has not been disconnected since then and which is weeks ago!

  you have a lot of problems with turned pro as everyone else in the world, overheating after a few minutes of play, even the basic games, as the rocket example, Hill climb race, island etc.

  After a few minutes it's hard to hold the tablet in your hands cus heat on the left inside corner is so hot... some times I had just a freeze within a few minutes.

• Z50-70 flickering screen brightness

  I recently acquired this laptop and I have even not had it for a week.

  One of the first things I noticed was that the backlight like to twinkle from time to time.

  I've been Googling for solutions, I looked into the options of Intel and I have no power adjust settings in regards to automotive, although I looked through and found some auto adjust the brightness I turned off.

  That's when I fell on the Lenovo Energy Management. I noticed that during my research it is supposed to be an option to turn off saving smart energy or something like that. I couldn't find any arrangement of this kind and my energy saver is very different to most.

  I'll post a screenshot to show you what I mean.

  If I can't find a solution soon, I'll have to return it to the store.

  I was able to solve the problem, it took some research, but I managed. You have to disable the auto adjust with the brightness of the screen within Win8. • Pavilion dv7-6163us windows 7 64-bit, the screen brightness will not adjust

  I reinstalled the latest graphics driver, the latest version of the BIOS and I still cannot adjust the brightness of the screens (screen).

  The indicator appears but is grey.

  Update on the screen brightness controls; went into the BIOS and reset on off action keys.

  Restarted and there was no change.

  I then uninstalled the drivers for the monitor and rebooted and the brightness setting now works again.

• Bought 11 5130 Pro place but Dell told Envoy held 11 Pro 7130 and send me a replacement

  I bought the "Dell place 11 Pro 5130" with the processor Atom Bay Trail and 64 GB on May 27, 2014. The item was delivered to me on May 30, 2014. The item arrived defective and the serial number indicates the element as "Dell place 11 Pro 7130" (see photo below - description of the object shows 5130 and 64 GB of storage)

   After talking to the agents and technicians, the specialist resolution Sandra, regimental 112383 says that she has checked and verified that Dell sent me the wrong item, but she would not give me a replacement or fill in the correct order. She seemed rude and appears discriminatory and also told me that I can do what I want, but it will only refund me the money and do not send me a replacement at any price.

  Dell cannot sell me a bad product and forcing me to return the unit and replace with the right pair. It is not only unethical but also illegal to sell something wrong and does not offer a replacement on your own terms and conditions.

  I actually found a way how to solve this problem. Tried above all, disconnect battery, registry fixes and etc... In all cases at some point touchpad become unresponsible. But what I found accidentally - while the touchpad is not respond to gestures and does not move a cursor - function click on the touchpad still works. in any case, this close to me do not have a solution.

  As always, the solution is just magic - all you need to do to restore a bloody thing - is to run SynaUtilitySfx.exe, while the Tablet is connected to the keyboard. The utility will fail saying that the touchscreen device not found - but this will allow touchscreen and a touchpad. Despite I'm an IT professional - I can't explain what is happening, but this method has worked for me.

  I disconnected the keyboard shelf and set the keyboard on the charge, which immediately ruined the touchpad when I connected the keyboard for Tablet. I ran new SynaUtilitySfx.exe - all work. A few times to prove: it does not fix the bloody thing!

  You can get SynaUtilitySfx.exe stuff from the dell Web site, they call it Panel Touch Firmware on Dell place 11 Pro 5130.

• Reference Dell place 11 Pro shipping disappointment

  I am writing this primarily to express my frustrations and I hope that someone at Dell will take notice because I think to complain to someone on the phone at Dell will fall on the deaf ears and will be a waste of time.  It seems that we, the consumers are at the mercy of Dell and for me, this is unacceptable.

  A bit of history.  I ordered a Dell coming Pro 11 the day where he was available to order (11/8).  I had a few changes, I had to make to the order, remove their extended maintenance guarantee and remove the stylus and the keyboard - no change in reality have been made to the tablet itself.  This has been done on 11/11.  I never received a confirmation email from Dell telling me when should I expect my 'New' order, but I have received an order number of the person that I spoke, which was the only way I could follow the command.  The 'new' had a date of expected delivery of 12 to 18.  It seemed reasonable to me and I was happy to wait and excited.

  In the meantime, I started to order accessories - screen protector and a 64 GB MicroSD in preparation for the arrival of my tablet.  18 I still had not received my being shipped order notifications and Dell sent an email about why, or when I would expect it.  I had received SEVERAL phone calls indicating that the order was in production and should be here 12/18.  I think that on the 18th or 19th I checked the Dell order support site to see that the issue had been delayed until 02/01/2014.  I was shocked... and spoke to the person who asked me the prescription being in production about why it had not been shipped.

  The 2nd came and went, and still, only, I received a phone call from the rep of Dell indicating the order had been pushed back to 9, then on the 9th, declaring that it had been postponed until the 16th.  This morning I checked the Dell support site to be notified that the scheduled delivery date is 01 23, 2014.

  I canceled the order this morning because I don't think I, or someone else should wait indefinitely for their order to arrive once his promised summer unnecessarily.  The "estimated delivery date" is a joke and does not reflect exactly any time in which the order could actually ship.

  Looking on the Dell website, you can order a Tablet Dell place 11 Pro with the 16/01/2014 estimated shipping date all the way until 06/02/2014 depending on the type of Tablet that you choose.  I know I'm not the only one who had this problem and I hope that more people shut up someone at Dell reviews and change the way they do business.

  I work in the COMPUTER industry and I am highly disappointed by Dell.  For now I'll only order Dell hardware for the company I work for. However, we will have to reassess these orders as well.

• Windows 7 Pro 64-bit on Dell XEON with SSD slow initial Pagemaker graphics file loads, very quickly thereafter

  I use Pagemaker 7 on a mixture of Windows 7 Pro, 32 & 64 bit Dell i5 and i7 PC hard drive to work with complex graphics files.

  These computers all display the chart pages quickly Pagemaker - about 1 second for each complex page.

  A new Dell Xeon with Windows 7 Pro 64 bit with 8 GB, 250 GB SSD and 1 TB hard drive works Pagemaker 7 OK. Logically, it should be useful faster than our other PC.

  However, the initial display of complex graphical pages can take 20 seconds per page. Later, as I work in forward and backward through the pages of the same document, the graphical displays become instant - as if they were now in fast memory.

  The Xeon pilots have been verified also updated.

  SuperFetch and Windows Search are both "started"... but it makes no difference if they are 'off '. Manager tasks indicate > 6 GB 'Cached' and 'Available' with Pagemaker 7 and a graphic 128 MB .

  Pagination is "managed automatically for all readers" with 8 GB allocated on SSD.

  Please, no guidance on why the initial graphic display should be so slow when later it's instant?

• Can I use 32 bit XP Pro OEM to reinstall XP Pro 64 bit?

  Assuming I can find some OEM media somewhere, can I use my license of Pro (SP2) 32-bit XP to install XP 64 bit?  I need to be able to use 64-bit for the big stages of rendering on my quad core.  I read so many places to be able to do this, but I don't know if it applies to the OEM licenses.  I read that it won't work with the media to detail. Confirm?

  If this is not the case, can I sell my XP Pro 32 bit media + sticker COA (always on the disc envelope) via ebay or similar so I can recover my cost of the purchase of a new 64 bit OS?

  Thanks for posting. Probably if you use the media 64 bit retail with a 32 bit OEM license, the installation will fail with a bad key. I recommend that you find media with this key 64-bit or more on the site below.

  I have the above referenced PC and want to add an SSD (boot with OS drive).  I would like to make this my c: drive ssd.  I want to keep the Windows 7 operating system.  I made the disarmament recovery disks I opened the PC.  I don't want to win 10.

  Could someone with their infinite knowledge teach me throughout the procedure with pictures if possible?  What parts do need me if any?

  I thought I was doing a 512 GB SSD.  The system came with Win 10 Pro 64 bit installation floppies, but I'm used to and prefer to use Win 7.  The idea of cloning seems interesting.  In fact, it looks to the ticket.  What cloning software is recommended.  The priority of the boot in the BIOS change after cloning?  I am concerned with what type of SSD should I purchase (interface, transfer rate, etc.), what cables, if any, and which adapters will be necessary?

  At work, I have all my computers run with SSD (OS/startup) and they run like rockets.  This new computer runs great, but with a SSD for the start, program files, "scratch disks", I'll be in the drive hyper.  I'd be in Mary for a bargain price.

  Yet once again, thank you very much for you answer quickly.  I have several Dell optiplex computers in office and did not have a problem.
