Dell will not restore

I have a Dell Dimension B110. with windows XP... I left (even younger) children use this pc. It has become practically worthless. When I bought the computer I had several CDs with it.  As I read in the owner's manual, I found that the computer could be erased, and it would be like it was when it arrived at my door.  It would be great! but as I went through the steps the first thing to do was, FROM THE START of the COMPUTER... 1. see a blue bar, immediately press crtl. & f 11... as soon as I hit the ctrl and f11, he says only CAN NOT RESTORE I never tried to do this before and I buy the new computer.  I should be able to get what I paid for... Is there way to sny to work around this problem CAN NOT RESTORE... this computer wouldn't wonderful computer beginers for my cousin. and then, we could communicate through the computer and play cribbage------... Thanks Tuluchee

Hi tuluchee,

For step by step instructions on how to restore your dimension B110 dell to factory settings, see the link below.

http://support.Dell.com/support/topics/global.aspx/support/DSN/en/document?journalid=6A181FF0D23FF776E040AE0AB6E10C4E&docid=336966

Note: You can print this before going ahead and make sure you have your product key, written down, just in case you are prompted to do so. Also, make sure that you remove all devices (printer, scanner, drive external HARD... etc.) except for the keyboard and mouse and hold down the 'ctrl key' and pressing f11 should come after the dell screen appears and before the windows screen. If you miss the first opportunity, leave the system completely restart, restart your computer and try again.

Good luck and let us know if this helped.

    Hello

Your question I know that some of these methods is not available now, however, all
Convenience store is included just in case where win you some access as you try to solve the problem.

You can access Mode safe? Repeatedly press F8 as you start? If yes you can try Control Panel - device
Manager - graphics card - Double click on - driver tab - click on UPDATE driver - then right click
on devices and UNINSTALL - REBOOT.

Another method to try to get to the desktop (try in normal Windows Mode without failure)
CTRL + ALT + DELETE and on the tab process EXPLORER.exe and COMPLETE the PROCESS on this subject - then
on the Applications tab - lower right - new task - type in EXPLORER.exe. Safe mode is reached
by tapping F8 as you start several times.

Black screen problems are extremely difficult to repair and all patch is usually on a base hit or miss.
That there is no information on a black screen as it is on a blue screen just adds to the

  • You want to connect to Xbox Live 360 using labtop. Cannot use WMI. Windows says THAT WMI is damaged, use the system restore. System Restore will not restore to any point I use.

I tried to connect to Xbox Live on my Xbox 360 to internet using Wi - Fi to my labtop. I want to enable sharing on this topic in the Advanced tab, but I get the message that says WMI is damaged and I need to use the system restore. However, the system restore will not restore the system at any time I choose. What is the solution?

OK you have an ETHERNET cable? (cable for PC to the Modem)
    What OS do you have?

Heres to help, you need to an ethernet cable, or adapter wireless XBOX 360.

With the ethernet cable, connect one end on the XBOX and one end to your laptop.
You go to control panel > network and Internet > network and sharing Center > change the adapter settings. Then you select your wireless network and your local network. Then you right click and press 'CONNECTION of BRIDGE' (requires administrator privileges). After that your DONE! Just check if it works on your XBOX 360!

  • My blackberry blackBerry smartphones will not restore my backup

    Hello

    I have a BB Storm 2 and I save a lot.

I also use google sync to synchronize my address book and calendar.

Last night I synces again and it failed. So I tried a few times more. Disconnection, signed back in and after a while, it worked.

But what I did not notice until this morning that it totally screwed up my address book. Some of the contacts I have had about 75 times. And I lost most of my contacts.

So in my gmail I lost them.

But not a problem. I supported two days ago. But now it will not restore. It does something to my BB, it changes everything, but doesn't I want to restore. So I tried a full restore, a partial restore a different backup, turn off the BB. Everything!

First I tried with the former office and later by the new software. It does not work.

    So help me please!

(If my English is strange, I'm from the Netherlands...)

When you say a partial restore do you mean that you tried to restore all the address book? If this is the case, you can try clear the address book database, and then perform a hard reset on your device by removing the battery for a few seconds and replace, then try to restore the address book from the backup file

  • New iPhone 6 - iCloud backup will not restore

    6/64 GB iOS 9.3.2 iPhone.

I just got a new iPhone 6 (iPhone previous 6a stopped working). My last backup was August 9, 2016, and I am sure that my old phone was using iOS 9.3.3 at about 99% backup time. They replaced the screen and my phone no longer works, so they ordered another who uses iOS 9.3.2. I tried to restore my backup, but I just get an error saying that it restore (no details). I suspect that this is because the software on my new phone isn't the most recent deployment, 9.3.4. If I upgrade the software on this new phone to 9.3.4, will be my (9.3.3) mosty likely to restore backup? I guess it boils down to this: a phone with older software can restore a backup that was created with the latest software of the iCloud?

Can't say if it will be or will not be successful but you need to update the software on the new phone before you attempt a restore. You cannot restore a phone with the latest software, the phone restore you to the needs of the same software or later.

    Hi jdd99,

Please try these two steps, if they don't work, I'll post the link on how to call the HP technical support, because this is a very new computer.

    1. try to boot in SafeMode if possible: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-CA/windows-8/windows-startup-settings-including-safe-mode

2 update the PC: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-ca/windows-8/restore-refresh-reset-pc as described in the Microsoft steps below:

Refresh your PC without affecting your files

If your PC does not perform as in the past, and you don't know why, you can refresh your PC without delete all of your personal files or change your settings.

    Note

    • If you have upgraded your PC from Windows 8 to 8.1 of Windows and your PC has a partition recovery from Windows 8, refresh your PC will restore Windows 8. You must upgrade to Windows 8.1 once the update is complete.

  • Packets of stickers of BBM BBM will not restore

I have 4 sticker packs, two restored after the 10.9.6.20 update for my Z30, but the other two "shibe dog" 1.99 and BBM "things we do".99 will not recover. He also says that I can't buy them again so that the system knows that I have. What can I do? A hard reset of the device does not work, and I can't uninstall and reinstall BBM. I'm no longer on the BBM beta team, so I can't report the bug.

OK, I tried switching profiles BBM again and this time I was able to restore all the packets of stickers.
