Dell XPS technical support

Hi y ' All

I bought an alienware X 51 in October and since that r2, technicians came to my place 4 times to fix the same problem never completely solved that s. They´ve changed the motherboard 3 times, 2 times, memory card 2 times, the fan video and power Board 1 time each... and the problem stills...

The word is supported each time, I had the worst service they can, they say "you do not use the computer correctly" to "West you can do nothing"... I bought the computer on ebay and I'm not in the United States, but I requested a transfer of warranty when I bought the machine. (I had problems with it good when got it out of the box)...

I am not satisfied with the service.

The problem has never been totally corrected

The problem persists

And they refused to change my gear for a new

What is the service provided by Dell? This is the service I get with my warranty valid? This is the service I get the money I paid?

What can I do?

They have made reasonable efforts to solve a problem you have described nothing.

  • (Redirected) Help! Dell XPS 8900 can't stand Windows Pro 10 - update and Support nightmare!

Is anyone else having problems?  I'm on my third dell machine and the 3rd time by installing the operating system and all my software.  Reference Dell tells me that all drivers on the XPS 8900 System (supposed to be a premium facility) must be updated.  There are questions that are incompatible with the Intel chipset, drivers wireless, Nvidia graphics card and more.  I watched do them it on a remote access connection.   I have at least 20 hours invested in technical support and at least a full week of lost productivity.  This experience is worse than the upgrade of Microsoft Vista.  I get the error message is "WHEA_Uncorrectable_Error".  I'll be in the workplace (nothing too heavy) and then a blue screen with the error message and the system will restart close all open programs.  Then I connect.  This process happens about every 10 to 20 minutes.  Dell Premium technical support and Microsoft Support seem to know nothing on this unit or the correction.  How Microsoft and Dell could market and sell these machines with known problems that obviously do not work is terrible.

  • INSIDE JOB "DELL TECHNICAL SUPPORT" BASED IN INDIA HAS A SCAM

    Hello

I am writing because I was the victim of what I believe, it's a "Dell inside job" in this scam of technical support for users of computers Dell off warranty or expired support based in INDIA. I've been a customer of DELL since 2003, was always the best technology support without problem, even when I called once about 7 years ago they cleaned up my computer for $49.00 which was ok with me without any problem. I bought an all in one computer in 2012, with 3 years of support. My problem started when I called DELL April 2016 of course didn't help because my computer was not covered, they wanted me to pay $89.00 a service of time, at this time there what I wanted was to get my computer to windows 8.1, I wasn't happy with 10, my computer was working fine. A week later, I started getting calls from ladies with Hindu accent claiming to be from Dell who want to help me fix my computer. I was always busy, and I told them that I not had time to seat 2 hours to do. They called it forth, until the day exactly a 29/08/16 months ago, I had the time to fix my computer slow and accepted their offer. He gave his guarantee Id # DELL9929 its name: Eric Thomas with a Hindu accent, I asked him: are you really from Dell? He reassured me that it was, they were getting signals from my computer that something was wrong. I thought because my computer after this call in April started to have more and more slow. He wanted to have access to my computer which is the only way they can fix it, I gave him access he installed an internet to analyze and clean security program call them KAPERSKY, he began to clear the files etc. According to him clean my computer. I made it clear I was not buying anything, he said no worries we do it because we have too many alerts to your computer. He told me he was going to monitor my computer for a week that he will call me Monday. I didn't go on my bank account or check e-mails because I felt that they looked at me, but instead of Monday he called me on Friday, so I told her that I don't have confidence in him. As soon as I hung up to 02/09/16 I called said Dell TECH SUPPORT what happened, to my great surprise this Hindu guy named Muthu Chidambaram Service Request: 935549938 has acted as he was aware of the scam, told me he's going to clean my computer for $89.00 service time or $239.00 per year. He also told me that I needed better security that he had one that was best for $249.99. I paid the $89.00 did not buy anything, but when I went to the Dell website to find a security software they had some for as low as $14,99 as it was the labor day weekend. I wonder why he tried to sell me one so expensive? As soon as I suspended with DELL, I went into my email to find that I had been charged by PayPal $450,00 leave DEN SUPPORT, called 801-829-7424 # imposter ask my money back either. PayPal and my Bank got my money, but it does not stop there. Why do I say is an inside job? 5 days after calling DELL TECH taking charge on 02/09/16, once again I received a call to a different number I gave only Muthu to contact me in case we were disconnected my phone Earth when it was fix my computer, the guy also Hindu told me exactly the same thing others had said in so many calls : They received signals. After you fix my computer Muthu asked me to respond to his email if I had more problems with my computer. My computer started acting again when I answered by Muthu email because I need help, he never responded, but when I called the 09/09/16 DELL SUPPORT because my computer was not at beginning, they wanted me to pay again, when I asked to speak to a supervisor, Rajeev (name of Tech) told me I had to pay $39.00 to talk to a supervisor which is something that I have never heard in my life, dealing with many companies. I was upset and told him they were running a scam, an inside job of the technical support because everyone involved was based in India, I told Rajeev history and he said that I was going to go further. 13/09/16, I got a call from DELL, a supervisor called Hindu Dave too, not too sweet. I told him about the scam from inside DELL, suddenly, he said: "I can refund your $89.00, you can call the DELL TECHNICAL SUPPORT so they can fix your computer". I got the $89.00. My computer does not work. I'm afraid to call the DELL TECHNICAL SUPPORT because they do the same thing again, their scam's with Dell Support off users guaranteed because they can make money in this way. I think they get a bonus if they sell us more, so our computer will never work as they should, because they want to keep us reminded. If we fall into their trap, like I did, you call DELL to fix our computer every time. A SCAM. They have our computer tag #, all of our personal information. Scary. I think the enamel of Muthu, I answered, was something that has infected my computer. Long story, but true.

  • False customer Dell technical support call

I received 3 calls from phishing to an offshore organization claiming to be Dell customer Suppor and tries to scam me for giving them access to my computer.

Monday, someone called me from the number 499-492-6931 and presented themselves as Sam, a Dell Technical Support, with an Indian accent. They explained on my Dell computer software they noticed that everything in is not infected my computer had received a number of attacks recently and to better protect what they wanted to do some features of Windows 'RUN' that may include typing "eventvwr" in the Run dialog box.

As she asked me to do this I Googled what she told me that I don't want unsolicited calls and immediately saw the warnings 'SCAM' in descriptions of all URLS that appear in the lists of Google. I told him I knew it was a scam and that I ended the call and hung up.

Apparently, they think that I'm very stupid, or now identified my number as a user of Dell PC and today I received two calls. Both of 800-254-1254. They have left a voice message that is involuntary where an Indian woman is laughing with his colleague on the first and 2, I replied and told her that I knew she was trying to rip me off and she hung up immediately.

I don't know if Dell can work with the telephone companies to block these calls, and maybe try to see who owns to chase these people. They are now an embarrassment to me because they have my number and ask me repeatedly.  Unfortunately, there are people for fall, the elderly in particular who could be more confident.

    Good fishing!

I doubt that Dell can block these scammers, unfortunately. I get phone calls from time to time. They ask usually you can open the event viewer, which shows always insignificant 'mistakes' to demonstrate that you have problems exist. Their goal is to make you turn the remote control of your PC.

The fact is that neither Dell nor Microsoft can remotely monitor your PC from infections or other problems (except if you permit). All these calls saying cold also are scams.

Although these callers often have thick foreign accents, I saw recent reports of the appellants with no accent, likely from the North America.

I'm having fun with these crooks. When I acknowledge number a crook in the calls view, I respond with ' 911 - what is the nature of your emergency? Or I'll play dumb and string them along for wasting their time. Sooner or later they will get the message and leave you alone.

  • (Redirected) Poor Dell technical support

My modem was replaced in mid-December.  So I had difficulties to connect to my printer wirelessly to my Dell laptop.  I contacted the technical support Dell - main error.  After a price of $199.99 and five hours on the phone with them for two days, it still didn't work.  I not ask for their return.  At the end of the 1st phone call (3-4 hours), they thought they had everything and test printed a Notepad doc.  At one point the tech support rep placed me on video without asking if I was ok with that.  Total invasion of privacy!  Later in the day when I tried to print I got "paper mismatch".  Most of the paper size options were in millimeters.  The next day I called the technical support again.  He wanted to redo everything that had been done the day before.  After about an hour I told him that I have more time to deal with him, I was on a deadline.  I had to drive to my work to print the information that I needed.  Following all the delays caused by Technical Support, I did not finish my work until 02:00 I have not never will contact Tech support again.  I will use a local person.  I expect Dell to have a support department impressive considering the quality of their computer products.  Worst customer service I have ever received.

  • Dell XPS 2710 all-in-One will not start, the totally blank screen

Hello. This is my first post on the forums and I hope someone can help me.

The Dell XPS 2710 all-in-one I bought for my 10 year old 15 months ago (Yes, that means that the guarantee is expired) will not start. No no post, no beeps, nothing. Just a brief spark of light on the screen, no words, nothing. The machine gets occasional use, and there is nothing to indicate what could have caused the problem. I have not upgraded the BIOS recently, is not as if it was a bad BIOS update, or whatever it is. I tried to hit the F1, F2, F12 keys delete during startup. No results.

The video works. I know because I can connect my laptop to the HDMI-in port and I can see the desktop of my laptop very well. So the question is NOT the video. My son uses this machine for occasional movies and homework in his room. I want to fix the computer, if I can. I am handy with computers and built several machines from the outset in the past.

I believe that the most likely scenario is that the motherboard has went wrong; There are several posts around the internet about motherboards 2710 AIO being unreliable. I saw an ad on the forums of Dell from a guy who said Dell Tech Support replaced its motherboard 2710 five times. I see that some of these motherboards are selling on eBay for around $200. I'm toying with the idea of getting a. I watched the service manual for the 2710 and I'm pretty confident that I could replace the Board of Directors.

Someone had experience with permutation on their motherboard on a 2710 AIO? Or someone has any ideas on what could be the problem with my son's computer? I appreciate all the advice/help anyone could offer.

OK, I have removed all the RAM from the motherboard (there were two sticks) and unplug the connector on the SATA hard drive. Then I turned on the machine and got two beeps very strong, but still no video on the screen indicating any form of activity of the POST. The sound signals have been first sounds I've ever heard during the procedure of boot on this machine. I put the RAM back in and re-connected the SATA cable. The way he has been, no video, no post, no beeps. I'm a bit at a loss for what I've decided, this means that the motherboard works technically and that another device on the machine is at the origin of the problem? Have I reason to assume that if I hear two beeps, then I should have the certainty that the motherboard was bad? Given that this a sound signal, the solution becomes cloudy, I guess. I can't help but feel that somehow the BIOS on the computer is damaged. Don't quite know how that could happen, however, because I have not updated the BIOS in over a year. I don't remember what BIOS version I have, but he had been working well for a year with no problems. Thanks for any other help/suggestions you can provide.

  • Buy an another Dell XPS?

Let me start by saying two things from the start... I have been a loyal Dell product owner because I bought my first Dell in 2001 and I like desktop computers.  I've made several purchases since then which brings me to this question. In July I got a refund from Dell on a XPS 8700 I had to return after working with Technical Support Dell for 3 months trying to repair the computer and sends a technician to replace a few parts.  I would also like to clarify that the 8700 XPS is a desktop replacement that Dell sent me in December 2013 which had the same problem as that 8500 XPS.  So ask you... what was the problem... I'll try to explain. First turn off ' XPS began with 8 and then put WIndows to upgrade to Windows 8.1 so much she still had questions about both. Also on the technician of Dell XPS 8500 replaced hard drive card mother and graphics card AFTER all the "remote access" and the virsus scan and repair via the Support technique Dell among most of seas. Here is what computers were... first disable the 'charm' on Windows 8/8.1 do not assume upward when you move the mouse to the border again if you have tried to open the files they would not open. Also if I used Internet Explorer or Google Chrome/or Modzilla as my Web browser, I could go on my home page and click on what anyone, in this case that MSN.com is my home page and history would be "blink so to speak" and go back to my home page. If I tried to use one of my book marked Favorites he would do the same thing and if it didn't it would simply return a blank white page.  Initially, Dell thought that my browsers have been diverted... but continued to reinstall and reload the operating system and run analyses virsus have no chance. Then they tried to check my router and my internet provider modem cable to see if they were questions.  It didn't matter if I'm connected wireless or ethernet, that I always had the same problem.  What makes it worse is THIS computer Im on now works with them all the time that I lived this nightmare. This brings me where I am now. I'm strugglingly really hard to buy an another Dell XPS, especially after the nightmare of 11 months, I just went through on the previous two.  Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

  • My Dell XPS 15 audio Jack does not work.

Hello, my new Dell XPS 15 audio Jack does not work. I just got this thing out of the box.

I have updated the drivers and stuff, which doesn't seem to be the issue.

I tried several headphones as well, the helmet is not the issue.

I've isolated to this: when I plug in the headset, nothing happens. If I ask about 15-20 lbs of pressure, forcing the connector of headphones into the socket as hard as possible, the cell begins to recognize and the helmet works. As soon as I let go of the connector, the laptop will behave as if the device was disconnected.

    What should I do?

    rsidhu89
    What should I do?

Hello. Your options are to contact technical support to schedule a repair, or return it for a refund or Exchange if you are still in the short return period (twenty one days from the date on the invoice if you got from Dell).

  • Subwoofer popping in Dell XPS L502X

Hello everyone! I am one of those lucky owners of the Dell XPS L502X, which boasts of perhaps the best pair of speakers for laptop in the world. I was very happy with n my laptop performance especially his great until he's terrible. :( On one fine day 6 months ago, I was watching "The Minority Report", a classic movie starring my fav Hero Tom Cruise. Everything was fine until a decisive moment, one of the cogs in the film cries "Ruuuunnnnnn!", but which unfortunately meant my subwoofer before running to paradise: P there was a sound burst at the end of subwoofer from there my XPS has never been the same... He trembles on high volume n bass... it sounds terrible at the same time. He needs rehab. Can someone help me on this? Thank you!! :)

Hello. Looks like a hardware failure. You can see suggestions in the sections L502x and L702x of the FAQ Audio Choppy/jump, but seriously if re - install the Realtek audio driver not corrects him then I think you need to replace the speaker.

If you are still under warranty Dell will fix it. You can contact the technical support.

Or if you want to fix yourself, you can get a replacement speaker. You can download the Service Manual which has instructions to tell - assemble your laptop.

  • Delayed mouse wheel Scrolling on Dell XPS running Windows 7

Since installing Win7-64 (Dell XPS) I noticed a weird scroll effect.  Approximately 2-3 seconds after the mouse scroll wheel, the active window "jumps" over a level of scrolling in the same direction, without any input from me.

Don't happen every time, but often enough that it problems.  Either I will scroll at a given place in the list of folders in Windows Explorer, then go get a file to drag to a folder, but before that I can drop the list folders scrolls by itself.  I've seen this happen in many programs, including Windows Explorer, IE8, Firefox, Eclipse, oxygen/XML, Textpad...

Anyone has any ideas, what is the cause?

    Hi ExUmbris,

    ·        What is the model number of the computer?

    ·        You have installed the latest drivers for the mouse?

I suggest to change the mouse settings, you can check the link below: change the settings of the mouse:http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/Change-mouse-settings

  • Dell XPS 8100 PSU and GPU updates

So heads up, I've never updated a computer in this way before. I opened the box a few times to clean the old GPU and replace the old with the new GTX 260 240 when I got it, but beyond that nothing. I know that I need to upgrade my GPU, fortunately, my best friend gave me a GTX 750 Ti 2048 MB PCIe graphic card and I wonder if I could install in my XPS 8100 and already use it. I was told that in the Dell 350W POWER supply is sufficient to run it, but I'm not sure and would like to double check.

However, should I I need a new power supply, I was told that SeaSonic S12II 520 Bronze 520W ATX12V V2.3 / EPS 12V V2.91 80 PLUS BRONZE certified Active PFC power supply PSU will fit the Dell case but here a double confirmation directly from Dell forums - especially after a call with Dell technical support told me that there is no way to upgrade the PSU. There is also the modular version M12II, but it seems that the dimensions on this would mean that he did not fit into the XPS 8100?

    Ruinus

The GTX 750 Ti 2048 MB PCIe graphics card should work fine with the default power of XPS 8100.
