Derivative of Tecra S1 mouse

My Tecra S1 began to exhibit a drift of the mouse in the last 5 days.

The mouse will often spend his own right hand in the top corner and need much encouragement to return. Often with a task manager CTRl-AlT-delete pop up and release the button of the mouse close to the bottom.

It also happens with a USB mouse to Wifi.

It also happens to the login screen for XP Pro, XP and when I started in Java Desktop System (JDS Linux)

The motherboard has been replaced today, and the problem is still there, albeit less serious. Less often, and the mouse recovers more quickly.

The machine is covered by the warranty with Toshiba. My website service is provided by another company.

I am looking for ideas to help solve this problem.

Thank you

Mark

Hello

I have Tecra M1. It's almost the same model. The same happen to me several times while I'm working. I don't know, but it can be caused by the mouse calibration procedure. Unfortunately I can't give you a good explanation of how it works.

My camera is out of warranty and I have to live with it.

Good bye

I have some problems with the external mouse on my tecra A2. The pointer seem to 'jump', sometimes across the screen, and it's pretty boring. I'm not sure of what the cause of the problem and still less what to do about it... The mouse is a Logitech optical mouse. I tried to change to a similar mouse but that did not help...
    What should I do?

    Hello

Try disabling the touchpad through FN + F9. Did you try it with mouse just wireless? You can try it with the mouse that is connected with a cable?

Sometimes I have the same problem, but it happens if the batteries are empty or if the mouse signal receiver is placed on the wrong place.

  • Re: Tecra M5 - mouse pointer move only

    Hello

With many Tecra M5, we regularly have a crazy mouse problem. I explain: the mouse pointer move only as a ghost and go at the top of the screen. In this case, it is impossible to control the pointer with Touch Pad but I can't with the AccuPoint (with difficulty because the pointer still want to go on top). The Touch Pad Driver is version 6.0.304.6, the [last | http://fr.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/tracker.jsp?file=http%3a%2f%2fsupport1.toshiba-tro.de%2ftedd-files2%2f0%2ftpdrv-20081007153100.zip |] Download here] and Windows XP SP3 (same problem with SP2).

For now, they're just one solution, 3-4 tap on the touchpad to unlock and pointer control but when problem come every 15 minutes of use, it is bad. It looks like a software problem, but anyone know if a patch available?

  • Tecra S3 - Mouse touchpad freezes

Sometimes, under CPU load (but not all the time and not with 100% CPU load), the touchpad mouse control freezes (or moves with a lag) at a point on the screen and it starts working again after several seconds (20 or 30 sec). However, accupoit mouse controller does not suffer from this type of symptom as any other control an external mouse.

    Any ideas on this issue?

Thanks in advance for your support.

    Hello

It is not easy to say why this happens but if you use an external mouse try to disable the touch pad using the FN + F9 key combination.

Hi, im using a tecra 8200, mouse keeps drifting upward left after 30 minutes? keyboard problem?
Sometimes the screen displays changr, from very dark then normal?
Finally I was told that I can put in a module of 512 mem alongside 256 existing will this work.
    Thanks for any reply Biffo

    Hello

As you know on this path it is not easy to give you a good answer on all these problems. The same happen to me with my mouse, but AFAIK it's normal because the mouse must obviously be calibrated again and again.

Daniel is right about the memory. You can use two modules with 256 MB (PC100 256 MB - PA3069U - 1 M 25). 512 MB should be max according to the specifications of this unit.

  • Tecra S11 with BIOS 3.50 - USB mouse is not recognized at startup

    Hello

I installed the latest version of the BIOS in my TECRA S11 - U10, and now my "HID" device does not-that is to say my dongled USB wireless mouse. I must now remove the dongle and re - insert before the TECRA sees the mouse.
Boring, just about usable, but it's a PITA and I'm aware of always 'making/breaking' the USB connection.

Must be something to do with the BIOS and see devices HID on "start"?
Finally, I enabled Legacy USB in the BIOS device support, but still no joy. In addition, have tested the mouse on other laptops - works well at the start, so NOT the mouse.

    Suggestions, people? Thank you...

    Hello

Disconnect your USB mouse and go to Device Manager.
Remove all USB hubs and USB controllers in Device Manager list.
    Reboot the laptop.
Wait until all the USB ports have recognised and installed again.
Then connect the USB mouse and check how it works.

You should also test different USB ports available on this laptop.

  • Tecra A11 - 113 - white screen and the cursor of the mouse during the boot

    Hello

My Toshiba Tecra A11-113 with win 7 32 bit boots with a mouse cursor and the visible white screen.
I tried to start under different boot options. Mode, safemode, last repair job configuration
and msdos command only... all these startup options give the same result.

I also tried with win 7 32 bit dvd, but same result.

I am able to access the C drive by booting with a linux key, so the data is visible.

Can someone please give me a solution?

    Thank you

What happens if you access the BIOS? Is menu visible on-screen BIOS?
Turn on the unit F2 button and press.
This should allow you to access the BIOS.

If you will be able to access the BIOS and see everything as usual, then the screen is OK and I think there is a problem with your installation of Windows System.
So boot from the Toshiba Recovery disk should help you solve this problem.

You said that you already tried to boot from the Windows DVD disc is this Toshiba Recovery disk? In my opinion, you use this disk to restore the laptop to factory settings.

  • Tecra S1 - Accupoint / mouse Touchpad has become crazy

    Hello

I bought my Tecra S1 second hand about 2 years ago and it was working fine until I realized missed me the video card driver, once installed the cursor on the screen went weird, he kept by adhering to one side of the screen for a long time, I uninstalled the driver but nothing works She continued to do until I completely lost control of the mouse whenever I opened my laptop.

Recently, I decided to reinstall Windows XP Home edition to see if it was a software problem (of any kind) but still the problem of cursor. I don't know how an installation simple driver on my laptop has created such a hassle. I I am convinced that it is not a hardware problem since any device of mouse I use (mouse, touchpad, accupoint) the nuisance persists.

If anyone has any suggestions / solutions please let me know.

    Thank you

    Hello

I have older Tecra M1 and I had this problem. AccuPointer was defective and after Exchange of keyboard, everything was OK again.
Only thing you can do is to use an external mouse and disable the double pointing device in the properties of the mouse or by using the FN + F9 key combination. I did the same thing.

Of course, the touchpad driver must be installed.

  • Tecra A10 erratic mouse then freezes when serial port used for something else

MT Tecra A10 was beautiful, but has developed a growing problem. It is running win7 ultimate. When you connect anything serial port wise it blocks indicating the Mouse / touchpad. Software on the laptop using series includes RS logix, perfect Omron CX1 Motion and NQ Designer, that said that they worked, can anyone guid help me pls.

    See you soon

    Hello

Eventually, the software that controls the serial port or the device connected to the serial port is not fully compatible with Win 7.
I think that this should be checked first.
Maybe one of you should look for the Special Forum of the manufacturer of the software for more details

  • Tecra A6 - external mouse connected to USB erraticly port rolls

I have a new Tecra A6 with Windows XP SP2 running on it. The touchpad works fine, but if I use an external mouse connected to a USB port, the scroll wheel scrolls erracticly - jump an additional 6 to 10 lines every now and then, it's extremely irritating. Problem is there little matter which USB port I use.

The mouse is a new Logitech optical mouse. Have also tried it with a Microsoft Intellipoint mouse and a generic without brand name. In each case, I had the same problem.

I've updated the drivers - and turned off the touchpad (thought may have been a conflict), but the problem persists.

Any suggestions on where I should look for a popular solution.

    Hello

When you use an external mouse I recommend you disable the internal touchpad by using the FN + F9 key combination. I do the same and there is no problem at all.

  • Touch pad/mouse sticker problem, Tecra s1

    Hello!

I can't get the touchpad mouse or mouse sticker to function on my tecra s1. I installed the touchpad driver and double score.

I use an external mouse (ps2 or usb), logitec.
(I installed toshiba drives after installing drivers logitec.)

When I click FN + F9 noting happen.
What is the problem, I need help!
This is a special order, I have install the drivers?

    Someone who now?

    Hello

I use Tecra M1 to my work and it's almost the same machine. I use the external keyboard and mouse. In my case, there is no problem and I can use both internal and external devices at the same time. I don't really understand what is happening in your case.

I just installed driver and a little mouse wireless application given by producer of external devices. I don't know, but the UtilityV1.0.0.2 to toggle DualPoint is responsible for the function FN + F9.

  • Tecra 9100: Accupoint skids permanently mouse to the side

    Hey guys!

I have a Toshiba Tecra 9100 with a built-in mouse AccuPoint, I never really liked.
So I plugged in a USB-mouse standart for using Windows XP.
But whenever Windows is running, my mousepointer is drifting sideways. If I klick anywhere, I must, with one hand, difficulty the Accupoint for the opposite direction of where my pointer is moving and with the other hand using my 'normal' USB mouse

I received the new Service-Packs of XP, latest Version of BIOS and tried to say the Toshiba control center to disable the AccuPoint by "auto". But he always arises when I touch it.

I don't know what the problem is. Is it possible to completely disable this AccuPoint? Or do you have other ideas what this could be?

    Thank you very much!

    Hello

If you use an external mouse I recommend you to disable the mouse on your Tecra AccuPoint. I had similar problem on my Tecra M1. I also disabled AccuPoint-mouse and touchpad.

Now, I can work without this very annoying problem.

  • Tecra A20 + external mouse problem

Hello, I have some problem with a Tecra A20 which is connected to a docking station. If I start the laptop with the lid down and you start Microsoft Outlook the left button of the mouse on the external mouse acts as a right mouse click (the right button of the mouse serves as a right-click). Only, the fault occurs in Office applications and does not appear when the laptop is started when the cover is opened. I tried to reinstall all drivers for mouse/touch pad, Toshiba software and office software. I've also been through all the power save and docking of parameters, but the problem persists.

    Hello

I use in my office series Tecra M with docking station and external keyboard and mouse. I have gift? t know how it is pre-installed in your case, but with my external keyboard and mouse, I myself? (troisieme party software? allows me a configuration complete external mouse.

Is the same situation in your case?

  • Tecra M5: Moves the pointer of the mouse to the corners of the screen - cannot be moved

Had this problem intermittently on my Tecra M5. The mouse pointer starts to crawl toward the edges/corners of the screen, then picks up speed quickly, he will bring back zipper in the corners and no amount of mouse movement. happens if I am rooted in a docking station or not. have tried on many mice with the same effect. Will and without explanation.

Also tried various re-boots, changes to the pointer settings in Vista. Everyone knows this?

One of my friends had a similar problem. Without a serious reason, the mouse pointer moved at the edge of the screen and it was not possible to control the mouse cursor.
Finally, EPA has replaced the keyboard (possibly the touchpad too don t know exactly) and this fixed the strange cursor movements

Then maybe you should contact the ASP in your country and ask for help.

    Best regards & good luck
