DeskJet D1455 is no longer prints * FLASHES POWER LIGHT *.

I had my Deskjet for more than 5 years, no problem.  2 weeks ago it suddenly stopped printing, it is the little light on the power button blinks nonstop until the printer is turned off.  I tried powering down and turning them back, several times without result.  I tried to unplug the printer completely and leave unplugged for hours, but still it will not be printed.  There is no paper jam, from what I see and the cratridges of ink are relatively new.  Can someone help me save my printer and my sanity?

More details:

-Will not even feeding of the paper, is it flashes with no result.

-When it is turned on the movement that makes starting and a regular shift is the same, he did before it quit on me.

-L' printer is connected to the top to my laptop when I try to send a document to print.

Here are the cost-effective solution, I came with, hope, it helps a person in the future.

Conclusion to my printer problem: I must have done wrecked the feed mechanism when I incorrectly removed a paper my printer HP Deskjet paper jam.  As I learned through the link provided by pcwizard (above), you are supposed to erase the paper at the back of the printer jams, never by pulling on front jam - which I did.

Ultimate solution to the problem: I went on craigslist and in 1 minute, found an hp printer that scans and the fact many more that my broken could never do, only sell for $15.  I asked the seller if I could find their place and see the printer in action (to check that it works).  The result was that I went with a printer 5 year old who was in very good condition and use the same exact ink cartridges my broken printer did!

Note If you are considering buying a used printer: make sure it is compatible with your ink cartridges cheaper out there in the market, high number of printers on c-list were great fantasy and very cheap, but after some research online, I found this is because the cost of a cartridge was in the $40! Also urdge the seller so you can see the printer actually print something, the first printer I have considered that the seller refused to do provided a plausabile but unlikely history.

  • In addition, don't be surprised if the CD (if any) goes hand in hand with your used printer has drivers that do not support your compuer new operating system.  I thought that I made a bad purchase when I could not print, but after a quick search of the model of the printer on the hpwebsite here, I found the drivers for Windows 7 and downloaded.  Everything works fine now!

The moral of the story: don't think clear a paper jam is an easy thing, instead of search online to make sure do you it properly before you break your printer.  In addition, the world isn't over if your printer clonked out and, most likely, you can easily find a replacement at a low price in your area!

Thanks for the link pcwizard, and I hope that this help anyone can always run across a similar problem.

But when I try to print my own pictures, he used impression. Its like the printer simply ignores the document. My computer tells me the print job, or sometimes didn't display any status at all in the print list. And the power light fades and returns slowly to normal.

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I see that you are unable to print to your HP Deskjet 1055 printer. I'd be happy to help you and don't forget to come back to this thread and check "Accept as Solution", if I have successfully helped solve you the problem. If you want to say 'Thank you' to my effort to help, click on the "thumbs up" to give me a Kudos.

I understand that the printer is capable of printing a test properly page. This seems to indicate that this isn't a hardware problem and it is more likely to be software related problem.

Due to the slight dimming, I would like to do a hard reset to see if that will solve the problem.

    • Let the printer and disconnect the printer cable and the wall socket for 60 seconds.
    • Reconnect the power cable to the output of the printer and the wall, and not a surge protector. This ensures that the printer is full on and can help this situation.
    • Make sure that the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet. (do not use a hub or a surge protector) This ensures that the printer is full on and can help this situation.

Please confirm that you have the printer connected to the USB 2.0, rather than a USB 3.0 port.

  • Satellite R830 not working - flashing power light

    Hello

    My Satallite R830 lights.

The power symbol flashes orange 8 times then pauses and restarts. There are 6 quick flashes followed by a longer 7 flash then another quick. The symbol wireless is lit (orange) all the time.

If I unplug the laptop and remove the battery and hold the restart button for 30 seconds then without taking the battery in the charger stops flashing and the symbol of the power goes to green, until I try to turn it on, it has a fraction of a second where it looks like it is starting then stops and flashing orange again.

Same thing if I unplug the AC adapter and the battery and then tried the above, but with battery or ac charger.

I tried with another adapter (same output amp and volt).

    Can anyone help?

    Thank you very much

If the power supply microcontroller has detected an error lamp DC IN sends a blink code.
The short means 0 and a long time means 1.
I have your case, that means: 0000 0010

Because the error code starts with LSB (least significant bit) to read it from behind
    -> 0100 0000 0000 0010-> 40 H (hex)
Now, you will need to know what means 40 H

After a few details that I found on the internet, the 40 H could be the fault of S3V output. (S3V voltage is more 3.47V)

However, such errors are mainly related to the problem of the motherboard (internal circuit problem) and from my point of view of the party only a few replacement may fix this error.

  • HP Deskjet 3050 J610 Series. Print out very light in the body of the document, but not on the headers

Hello.  I just replaced the ink in my printer, but it's not print as before.  I went to setting and tried several ways and still cannot printing be dark enough to read.  When I do AOL mail, the header comes out dark (with to, of, date, etc.), but the body is pale gray.  Would you please help me understand the settings, or how to retrieve the default value?  Thank you so much, I really miss print and hate writing long-hand [under the direction of personal information]

    Hi Molly9094,

    Welcome to the HP forums!

I see your message you have a Deskjet 3050, after changing the print cartridge is not as he had before. I'm sorry to hear that, but I will certainly do my best to help you!

Just to be safe, I would test the hardware of the printer to make sure that everything goes well on the end of the first. If you print a Network Configuration Page does it come in black?

If you print from somewhere on your computer such as Notepad (Windows) or Text/Edit (Mac) coming out as it should be, or must it also a lot of pale gray?

Once I know this information can we move forward!

Hope to hear from you soon!

What version of the operating system Windows am I running?

You can disconnect the power cable from the plug, and then try to turn on or off.

It seems to be a hardware problem, I suggest you contact the manufacturer of the printer for assistance on this issue.

I have windows XP(SP3) on my laptop and HP printer Deskjet 3940. The printer worked fine until now. Now the power light blinks on the printer. There is NO paper jam.
I uninstalled and reinstalled the driver from HP website. The printer showed ready in the control panel, but as soon as i try to print a document it shows offline and the power light starts blinking. I have cleared documents from the print queue.
I have tried using different USB ports but no success.
I have ensured that 'use printer offline" is unchecked.
I also downloaded and ran HP Print and Scan doctor. It says everything is fine and asked me to print a test page, but nothing happened when I tried to print. Print HP EXPERTS, Please Help! Thank you!

  • DeskJet 932C - the power light is on and the cartridge flashing

Hello! I know my DeskJet 932C is 'old', but it seems to be in excellent condition.  First time that I had a problem.  The power light is on and the cartridge is flashing.  When I open the cover, the plateau of the cartridge moves to the far left.  The arrow points to the unfortunate color cartridge.  The missed years ago color cartridge.  I use my printer to print B & W, so I've been printing with the empty cartridge in place for years.

I removed a reinserted the color and B & W cartridges and turn on the power and turns off.  I used the HP print and scan doctor, and it's scan does not have something wrong, I clicked on print a test page, and nothing happens.  The test page is listed as 1 document in the queue.   Status: error - printing.

The printer has been in its current position on my desk for years.  It was not known of any trauma... None does damage... no power failure.  It's clean.  Has been connected to 4 laptops and uninterrupted service.

I prefer not to buy a new color cartridge.

Would appreciate help.  I would like to know what it means and if there is a solution.

    Thank you!

    Focus21

The printer will perform electrical cartridges to light control and a few other times.  If an error printing can be blocked to avoid damaging the printer.  Clean the contacts of the cartridge as shown in the document here can solve the problem, otherwise you will probably need to replace the color cartridge.  The 932 Deskjet will allow printing with an empty cartridge, but for years, the cartridge may fail electrically and needs to be replaced.

  • HP 3845 printer power light flashes

Power light of my printer keeps flashing and I can't print anything. I ran the HP software troubleshooting, reloaded drivers, turned off and restarted, fired cartridges and checked for jams. NO JOY. Can I get a test page to go to Quebec, but it will not be printed. This all started when I tried to print a form the net. Has not worked since,

    Hey Mics.

Thanks for the update.  The Deskjet 3845 is a printer function and I have all the information to reset on this model.  If power cycling the printer, uninstall/reinstall, etc. have been unable to solve the problem, it seems to be a hardware problem with a sensor in this printer.

I recommend a quick test if you have availability.  You have another computer, you can try to connect this printer?  It is possible that the question is one of the queue stuck in this PC information and not a problem with the printer.  If you connect the printer to a different PC and you have the same result, so I suggest looking into replacing the product.

  • HP Officejet Pro K8600: Power light + resume light flashing after printing only one Page

After trying to print a document of several page, the printer produced a page and then the power light and the resume light (page feed) Flash. I also tried to print multiple copies of a page, but that leads to the same result.

I can get the lights extinguish by turning printer off then turn it back on. But it will always print that one front page the same lights begin to Flash. I did six times in a row just to print a six page document.

I went through all the steps in troubleshooting HP software. Not like searching for cleaning print heads, re-seats cartridges, etc., fragments of paper. Nothing seems to work.

    @Bob_Headrick

Thank you for your response. However, none of the suggestions could solve the problem. ALTHOUGH the light guide troubleshooting that you provided was close to the solution.

I came across the solution by reading the PDF manual for the printer. On page 77, it describes the power led + resume light flashing. One of the causes for this using EXPIRES of CARTRIDGES of INK, CARTRIDGES RECHARGEES or NON HP CARTRIDGES.

WARNING: It is important to note that if your printer is still under warranty, DO NOT DO THIS. HP notes in the manual using this substitution can void the warranty against damage caused by the use of faulty ink cartridges, obsolete or not allowed.

    SOLUTION:

While the power light and button resume flashing, press and hold the power button and press the button repeat 3 times. This replaces the "apparent" internal error message to use the cartridges you have installed. It may also cause a print cartridge alignment page.

    MY OPINION:

It is important to note the HP cautioned against it, it FIXED MY PROBLEM IMMEDIATELY! I know that the cartridges that I have installed are in agreement. Like many HP owners out there, I take advantage of sales and have stored on cartridges. I guess some may "expires" before you install it. In my view, the idea of "expiring" cartridges also somewhat falls into this column to "How can do us buy more ink?" What kind of market we create where it's cheaper to buy a new printer than to buy a new set of cartridges/toners? BUT it's a slippery slope... let's not go there.

  • HP deskjet all-in-one 3630: printing on linux mint

    Hello

I have a problem with my printer which, when used with windows 10 works fine, but I'm also using Linux Mint cinnamon 17.3 O.S. on my laptop which is my favorite operating system. The problem is that I'm unable to print, or Linux does not recognize this printer model or vice / versa

The printer is there when I open "Printer" in the Mint menu. But that's all. If I open another window in ' what impression "it shows several documents ready to be printed." But does not print! Although it printed fine on my old desktop running mint "Mate" O.S. (now is no longer in use). I tried to download and install "HPLIP but unsuccessfully someone out there with a solution, it would be greatly appreciated."

Hi, I tried your suggestion and I now have my installed printer, my printer flash lights but it wont print, I built a 33 print queue jobs... have cancelled their and tried to print a test page, but nothing prints... either by the way, I am pretty new to Linux and I'm on a learning curve steep here.

Thanks a lot for your suggestion. Will do some research on the web.

Any helpful comments would be greatly appreciated...

    Hello

In short, 0, long ways 1.
In your case, the binary code is 1000 1001
Now, we must reverse the binary code because the most significant bit.
This means that the code is; 1001 0001
The HEXADECIMAL code means; 91 h

Error code is 91 h but I n t know what that 91 h means and what role might be affected exactly!

Eventually it s something wrong with electronic power supply on the motherboard, but only the ASP technician could provide more details
However, in most cases, the motherboard is affected and needs to be replaced.

  • Taking a long time to power laptop

    Hi all

My laptop (HP ENVY 17 - j005tx Notebook) when to stop only takes a few seconds, but it can take up to 5 minutes to be able to...

At first I thought some service or program took a long time to stop, I installed Windows 8.1 SDK Performance Toolkit to try to identify a culprit. run the command "shutdown - traceFlags BASE + DIAG + LATENCY - noPrepReboot xbootmgr-trace" and the generated trace succeffully.

I noticed that the notbook was restarted in a matter of seconds...

Anyway, I proceeded to analyze the trace file using the wpa.exe anf program cannot find any program or service taking much time to stop!

SO, I now understand the operating system Windows stops well even if the laptop is very long take-off power.

Someone at - it suggestions?  I have installed NVIDIA driver 337.88 and found another thread here where they suspected this version of the driver has not been tested by HP and after they have applied it their judgment of the laptop slower than usual--is this somehting, perhaps to look at...

I am currently downoading sp63414.exe NVIDIA driver for my laptop - should I uninstall my current driver and applies HP?

    Thank you visruth...

What I've tried is run "msconfig" and boot into "safe mode", restarted, then stop, stop was back to normal again.

Then revived "msconfig" disabled all Microsoft Services, judgment and yet all fed off the coast as usual (soon after).

Then restarted and re-enabled all services using "msconfig".  Disabled the following services, choose these particular that I'm not sure why they should be executed and some do not know what they are...

rebooted and then stop and everything stop and power off was normal...

It seems that one of these services is at the origin of the power off to take a few minutes...

I suspect the bluetooth services, GSService, or IconMan_R, or even the genius of Netgear...

Funny enough I did uninstall netgear genius a few weeks ago and see for some unknown reason, that the Service is still there? Hmm...
