Diagnostics of crash
My PC crashes just without apparent reason. I unplugged all the USB ports and I ran a full audit of virus - nothing found.
Question: How can I find out what my PC / what program it was running in the crash?
Dr. Watson doesn't seem to be in Windows Vista.
(I'm under Windows Vista Home Basic with an Intel Celeron processor).
Hi David.Alan.Smith,
Do you know if the dump files created during accidents? Take a look at thisdocument to configure your computer to generate a dump file. You can also find this document useful. Have you tried to use the clean boot to see if it is a start-up service or the origin of the problem program?

C7280 - Microsoft Diagnostics said: HP driver issue crashing Office 2007
I have Samsung Q310 laptop with Vista connected wireless to HP C7280. The printer works fine, but deliberately out to an Office like Word or PPT application, Office gives an error message indicating a crash and restarts the application. Irritating, but not catastrophic.
I ran Diagnostics MS that said it was a problem of driver HP and HP is working on that. I ran the update of HP and he says that the drivers are up to date. Please can you advise if there is a fix in the pipeline?
Thank you very much.
Hello, HardCopyTed is indeed correct, the HP and Microsoft have taken measures to help solve this problem. If you are looking for an easy way to find the update for your product, then check this document...
http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c01584850
You will find a path to the driver of your products and download page of SW and the question around. I recommend that you install the update.

MacBook Pro crashing / interpret a report of Crash of OSX
So I get some accidents every day
I followed this link Apple then finally:
- erased from my hard drive
- reinstalled OS El Capitan
- Run the Apple hardware test / Diagnostics (detailed version) and had no problems
- only used Mac S/W
- had no devices running
Yet I still get some of these every day (there is no model what triggers their.)
If anyone can point me in the right direction (according to the Crash report below), I would be very grateful:

10.11.5 crashes completely after you disable wifi on old Macbook Pro
My Macbook Pro 17 "(fin 2007) installed 10.11.5 without problems." Ran smooth and fast, and then frozen after turning off wifi. System tried to reboot itself. Could not restart, crashes when starting upwards. Had to do a clean install. Unfortunately I turned off wifi once more after re-install-same problem. Another gel, the system does not restart, no matter what I tried. No keyboard shortcut works, only cmd R gives an option to re - install the entire system. Does anyone else have this problem after turning off wifi?
I would either reinstall El Capitan report to the current system or erase the drive altogether and install a new copy of the El Capitan. Implies that it is not a hardware problem. You did check works hardware - run a hardware test or check the system information to determine if the Wi - Fi card work.

- Processor Intel Macs - using Apple Hardware Test
How to run Apple Hardware Test on Mac Intel
To check your hardware, use hardware diagnostics. Start the OS X Installer disk that originally shipped with your computer. After the ring, press in and hold the "D" button until it appears the diagnostic screen. Run extended diagnostics several times during an hour or so to allow possible errors to be detected. If you receive error messages note them down. You will need this information if you take the computer home.
Reinstall El Capitan without erasing the drive
Please make sure that you back up.
- Restart the computer. Immediately after that the chime hold down the command and R until the Utility Menu appears.
- Select disk utility, then click on the continue button.
- Select the withdrawal (usually Macintosh HD) entry of the volume of the list to one side.
- Click first aid icon in the toolbar. Wait until the button is active, then click it.
- Quit disk utility and re-enter the Utility Menu.
- Select Reinstall OS X and click on the continue button.
Also, see this tip for user: basic steps for the OS X upgrade.
Install Yosemite or El Capitan, from scratch
Backup if possible before proceeding.
- Restart the computer. Immediately after the chime hold down the command and R buttons until the Apple logo appears. When the Utility Menu appears:
- Select utility disc in the Menu Utility, then click the continue button.
- When loading disk utility, select the volume (entered into withdrawal, usually Macintosh HD) from the list of devices.
- Click Delete in the main window of disk utility. A panel will fall.
- Define the type of Format Mac OS extended (journaled).
- Click on the apply button, then wait for the done button to activate and click on it.
- Quit disk utility and re-enter the Utility Menu.
- Select reinstall OS X and click on the continue button.

Hiya
Been having a problem for a while now and it seems that its getting worse. I'm having crashes completely random, random and systemic. By chance I mean I don't know how to reproduce the problem, it can happen at any time. It often happens in the middle of a drawing in paint Studio Clip (annoying!) or after my iMac wakes up and I'll enter my password (also maddening!). It could happen tomorrow, in two weeks then and perhaps a few hours from there and then maybe three weeks later. It's very random, but it happened at least a dozen probably several times in the past 6 months that I have owned this computer and I'm losing work because of this.
What's happening: I'll take the spinning beachball, and will boost the my CPU to 100% according to a third-party application that is located in the menu bar called menu meters. The system is not responding, can't do anything else than to force quit apps. If I force quit all open applications, and then relaunch Finder, the system does NOT come out of it, I have to restart the iMac. Once again, I leave the computer at night to see if it would finally come to, but it won't.
I am at a loss. I ran first aid on all my drives, ran diagnostics hardware at startup,... advice on how to proceed would be greatly appreciated. I have AppleCare but thought I'd try here first.

I think the HARD drive is a bad thing. Check with utility disk first aid.
And personal Adobe something wrong. Remove and reinstall from scratch could solve the problem.

MacBook Pro crashes when connecting to WiFi at home
Hi all
Short:
When I connect to some of my macbook pro WiFi networks freezes. By freezing I mean all input devices stop working: no touchpad, no keyboard, no external mouse, no keyboard. My laptop stops 30 seconds after the Frost is out of the reboot. The problem is worse at home. He will die almost instantly if I try to use my home network. On the road, it can take an hour or two, then freeze! At work, life seems almost endless, but it froze. More details to follow.

Symptoms:
- When I connect everything first a loading bar is shown, sometimes it will freeze it and start/stop.
- Shortly after I log in, before you do anything, but moving the mouse, it will freeze.
- Sometimes I can not connect and it will work fine for a few minutes, until I use all that internet: firefox, safari, mail, any software that checks the license through the internet, then it freezes.
- Other times, I can work on the internet without pain for hours.
- Sometimes it will work very well, I will walk away and the machine goes to sleep. When I wake up, it will freeze. With and without the WiFi on.
- Sometimes it will work very well, I'll close the lid for a certain period of time for 1 minute to 24 hours and sometimes when I open it it will freeze.
- It crashed when booting in verbose mode. Died when something with bluetooth. I tried only once.
- When in recovery mode (CMD + R), I can run the utility disc fine, but if I want to reinstall OS X, the minute, trying to download (after signing with my Apple ID) it will freeze. It's the only way I've been able to reliable and predictable way to reproduce this problem, however, as on my home network.
- There is never crash logs in the console. I have never one "your machine should be stopped." The only way that I know that there was a problem is that I will ask you to log in and when I do, none of my programs are still open.
Where this happens:
- On my work WiFi network, it's hardly a question. Happened at least 5 times in the last year.
- During a journey (so any number of networks and equipment) will occur once an hour.
- At home, he can go months without a pass and then, as yesterday (24/04/16), occur continuously for hours on end. (I have just let my laptop open and hear the chime start about once a minute).
What I tried:
- Reinstalled OS X.
- Run diagnostics (CMD + D)
- Reset the PRAM and SMC
- Run recovery stuff (CMD + R)
- Safe mode has the same problems; When internet is used, it freezes.
- That thing where you delete all of your connections wifi, both in the Terminal and in the GUI.
- Disable IPV6 on my Macbook Pro
- The laptop is not hot. Power supply or the battery power does not make a difference.
Other stuff:
- I have an old Macbook Pro (running Yosemite) who doesn't have these problems. There is another Windows Mobile and apple and windows Phone which does not have these problems.
- Using WiFi at home and Arris TG1682G me provided by Comcast/Xfinity.
- My laptop froze all the time and then I went to another network (neighbor thank you!) and everything seems fine.
As my computer can still freeze on other networks I'll post this now and change it. I don't want to lose that.
I can't find a button change. Shortly after I posted this my macbook pro has frozen and restarted. I was not on my wifi at home.

5000nc HP Omen: Omen HP system crashes
Hi all
I have a problem with my brand new HP omen that had me driven nuts lately. The system hangs for about 5-10 seconds at random intervals - sometimes it's several times per hour and sometimes it's just once every two hours. Anyway, I was able to track down the issue through the event viewer, and there seems to be a problem with the hard drive and to know the bus controller AHCI. In Event Viewer, there are 2 frequently asked questions:
Error ID 153 - source: disk - IO address of the logical block operation * for drive 0 has retired.
Error ID 129 - source: Storahci - \Device\RaidPort0, restore the device, has been published.
I searched the web and applied countless solutions, including: apply new drivers to the control bus, try the generic drivers from microsoft, editing the registry for the service storahci and the NoLPM key and parameter setting from AHCI to my hard drive in my power profile of fouls COMMITTED HIPM or assets, I also tried the command "bcdedit/set disabledynamictick Yes" and nothing works. Oh yes, I also tried to run HP diagnostics for the drive hard (using F2 at startup), and he passed in all respects, so it must be a software problem. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to determine any pattern of errors compared to what I was currently doing.
To be honest, I'm pretty sick of that question. I bought a laptop for a considerable amount of money and I expect it to work perfectly. Not to mention that it is a cell phone game and if it freezes / crashes several times each hour it just makes the game impossible.
I thank you in advance and look forward to finally resolve the issue.
Thank you
Just to let you know. My current loan of HP product is a harbinger of 15. I got it for about a week now. I played my Steam games on it. I'm playing Borderlands, Borderlands 2, FarCry, FarCry 2. I had nothing to happen in terms of grip, accidents or other odd behaviors.
If my loan product developed questions such as yours, I would run tests of material disgnostics. If no failure was present, I'll immediately with system restore tests and if no positive result, try a system refresh. If has no reolve that he, a factory image recovery would probably be in order. If no joy after all that, I'd go straight to the watrranty service
Consider also using utility System Internals ProcessExplorer from Microsoft to try to see which processes are runnng, what may cause the problem. It's Process Explorer runs at startup to hang it.

Skype crashes when selecting talk IM
My Skype crashes as soon as I open it to see new IM. It started a week ago and accidents are not so frequent (about 2 per day). But now it crashes almost instantly when I opened the IM tabs. I tried to reinstall own Skype, even a couple of older versios, so I begin to suspect that there is something wrong with my machine. Add the log file and DirectX diagnostics.
Open this link with your Internet Explorer. You see, what version of Flash Player installed?

Various crashes, freezes, video glitches, audible clicks
These kinds of things have been going on for some time. I get these kinds of things around once a week or more. Today video glitching presented, so I think it's time to do something.
I get the gray multilingual screen accident sometimes, or restarts, the screen freezes or vanish by clicking or ticking noise coming out of the speaker. Today, there are blocks of blinky graphics truncated past horizontally on the screen. Didn't really crash, but I restarted and it didn't come back again.
I have a MacBook Pro (retina, 13 inches, beginning 2013) 3 GHz Intel Core i7 Intel HD Graphics 4000 8 GB of ram and 750 GB SSD.
Running 10.10.5, but the problem has happened for a long time and several system updates.
Went to the Genius bar in March, and they ran diagnostics - own. Looked at crash stuff in the console and restarting recommended.
I decided to put up with it, but it seems to have worsened recently.
I learned to leave iPhoto closed, so I don't have to rebuild the library after losing (even if it's in the background).
Run the extended Apple hardware test today after the video glitching (I video iPhone if it's useful). The test revealed no problem.
Things that seem to trigger these problems: a lot of scrolling, video playback, audio playing. I tend to keep at least 50 Chrome open tabs. But I have disabled Flash in all browsers. Accidents may be more likely to occur when the machine is heated a lot of treatment - usually too many tabs in chrome that causing.
That's what I see happening in the console 'crash ': research

I'm looking for how I should address troubleshooting. Is it possible to find & fix something like that?
Or just fuck and troubleshooting, get started on again.
Then I would look for advice on how best to do that said the person of genius bar - wipe the drive and reinstall. This user is ongoing for a long time. OS 7 maybe? (Similar course crash was going before I migrated to an iMac for Macbook.) But I want to keep as much of my settings, iTunes library, programs, iPhoto library intact as possible.
Or just continue to live with it. The MBP restarts pretty quickly. :-)

as many times these problems are caused by part 3, additions like anti-virus, Mac cleaners and cleaners for memory (all useless, but people always install).

Months and months passed, my system wake up from sleep mode. Could not find a solution, I gave up using the mode "Eve" and restarted with each use. The other week, he began to enter the mode "sleep" during navigation only to chance on the web. It would have then several hard reboots (holding in the power button) until it would get back to the top. Several because he would fall asleep again upon restarting, so I have to do it a few times to finally get to stay awake.
Last night, as a Christmas gift lucks for me, he did it again. Only this time he won't return after half a dozen hard boots. He keeps falling asleep start-up or running diagnostics or repairs or all the other options I can try briefly.
I tried a different monitor; It still gives me the error 'no signal '. So now I know that it is not the monitor. That leaves the video card, motherboard, power supply and the operating system as the culprits.
I can't test an any of them however, because as I said, he falls asleep during execution of start diagnosis, repair or anything else.
Inside my machine is clean; does this when he started to do this. I also felt a very low ozone smell last night when he crashed and refused to wake up this last time, which could mean that it is a problem of card and the card is fried.
I am at my wits end and is about to give up on this. All that I know is that I do buy it more products HP. The number of threads on problems similar to mine is staggering, and nobody seems to be able to offer a real solution from HP.
If anyone has any ideas for last minute... I'll give them a whirl.
«As far as I know that I won't buy HP products.» is a bit harsh for a machine that is 5 years old." But it is up to you.
This means that for the monitor to go to sleep and the 'no signal' - there is no video from the PC to the monitor. With not enough information on the model (according to the HP support site) number, it could be the graphics card itself does not, assuming you have a discrete video card. In this case, remove the video card and use the onboard video by connecting the monitor to the VGA port on the back panel. That should allow any test that can must be filled. If everything checks out, replace the video card. Now, if there is no video card and you already have the video embedded, then install a video card to see if this fixes the "no input signal". If you don't have or can't borrow one for testing, getting a single used for the test card is not too expensive, if you are not sure of the problem. If you are sure the video card is the problem, then buy one that meets your needs.

When you start DxDiag get error messages about DirectInput, DirectShow and Information System.
'DxDiag has detected that there may have been a DirectInput access problem last time that this program has been used. You want to bypass DirectInput this time? »
By selecting Yes let the DxDiag proceed, selecting no results in DxDiag crashing.
Also cannot access the game controllers in Control Panel. Don't know if this is linked above.
Any help appreciated.

My anti-virus has encountered a problem with this message: result =-2147467259. I have no idea what all this means. I just know I have high speed internet with a cell phone and it acts like dial-up when I try to connect. I wait forever, it seems a page to load. Joelj1964 also suggested I have try CCleaner - home, Glary Utilities and Clean Up Center - Windows Live OneCare scan security that I did and none of it worked. Help, please! I'm at my wits end with this. My system keeps freezing and crashing. When it blocks the screen with everything what top just melted away. Can someone please help me solve this? Cindy barrett
