Disc on the remote computer

If my drives became full I can be considered to share a directory from a remote computer?

I would never consider as a solution thanks to numerous performance and technical problems. Rather, I will ask for the new disks to your manager.

  • How can I activate the remote computer to power saving Mode monitor?

I am a technician in a small private company and it is my duty to keep all desktop computers works very well.
    Desktop computers:

    • are the Dell Optiplex GX260
    • Run Windows XP SP3
    • have Dell 17 "monitors
    • with Intel Pentium 4 (2.4 Ghz) processor with 1 GB RAM

I do my job after working hours. I connect to them with my laptop (running Windows 7) and check their conditions, one by one. Now, my employer comes to know that when I do this whole process monitors for desktop computers continue to run. As it is not put in place a very large company and electricity and the price of fuel in Pakistan are very high. So, he asked me to find a way to turn the monitors to the power saving mode, when I do my work. In this way, it will be significant energy savings and fund savings in monthly bills. So, can someone please tell me How do I turn on monitor of the remote computer to the power saving mode?

There are several ways to handle this.

#1-have affected the power turn on their monitors, but let run PC
#2-click Start > Control Panel > Power Options and choose how long it is before the screen turns off. Once your activity on their machine is complete, then will kick time.
#3-you say that you connect to their machines to check their conditions... whatever that means exactly. You can map their computer management console directly to your machine and I * think * he didn't wake up the monitor.

    I hope this helps.

It depends on how the computers are connected and their intellectual property regime.

They are on the same network (e.g., connected to the same router)?

I am trying to accept an invitation from my mom's remote assistance and this is what I got after entering the password: connect Remote Assistance could not be established because the DNS name of the remote computer cannot be resolved.

You get the error "a Remote Assistance connection could not be established because the DNS name of the remote computer could not be resolved" when the requesting computer (the computer 'demand' help) sends its private IP address instead of its public IP address in the request for assistance. The solution is 'easy' for some and difficult for others. I present here for your perusal:

    (1) obtain the public IP address of the requesting computer (by visiting a web page such as http://www.whatismyip.com)
    (2) save the remote assistance request computers
    (3) modify the remote request for Assistance (RcBuddy.MsRcIncident) using a text editor (such as notepad) and replace the private - section of IP address should be something like this:
    RCTICKET = 65538,1,192.168.1.33:3389 «»
with the public IP address from whatismyip.com or elsewhere - should be something like this:
    RCTICKET = 65538,1,74.125.47.147:3389 «»
    (4) save the file of RcBuddy.MsRcIncident 'new '.
    (5) double click it to connect to the computer needing help
    (6) cross your fingers and hope it works!

  • Connection to the remote computer problems

Have XP Pro on work and home computers. Monitoring the windows XP start using remote desktop info. Computer work defined as host, trying to connect remote, after putting in the name of the computer to work, I get "unknown parameter was specified in the computer name field.  How can I connect to my work computer?

    Hi Raider2118,

    · What is the work computer protected by password?

    · Is the work computer have to plan together?

When you connect to another computer using Remote Desktop connection when you specify ComputerName/console in the computer box, and then you click Connect note ComputerName is the name of the remote computer to which you want to connect.

To get the name of the computer navigate to the location below:

    a. Click Start, right click my computer

    b. click Properties

    c. Select the computer name tab

If you have tried the steps above and then temporarily disable the security software on the computer and then try to connect to the computer and check the results.

Note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

  • "The remote computer has disconnected your session because of an error in the licensing protocol. Try to reconnect to the remote computer, or contact your server administrator. »

    Hello

I received the following error message

"The remote computer has disconnected your session because of an error in the licensing protocol. Try to reconnect to the remote computer, or contact your server administrator. »

This happens when I try to log on my remote on the icon access log, I put on my computer at home so that I can get to work if I need to.  He worked for a few months after I bought my new laptop and software, but now suddenly it doesn't.  I talked to my guy TI in the work and they seem to think it's a common problem with "Vista Home Premium", I can do to change it so that I can use the remote access icon?

    Thanks in advance

    Hello

Licensing protocol handles the communication of information on licenses between your computer and the remote computer. If there is an error in the licensing protocol, your computer may not be connected to the remote computer.

To resolve this problem, restart the computer and try connecting to the remote computer. If you continue to receive this error message, contact the server administrator.

This also occurs if one of the registry entries is corrupt. Try the following steps to resolve this problem.
    1. Click Start, type regedit and press to enter.
    2. on the window of the registry editor, navigate to Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\MSLicensing
    3. right click MSLicensing, click on export and provide a file name for example RemoteKeyBackup and click on save to the desktop.
    4. right click on the HardwareID key and store under MSLicensing folder and click on delete.
5 restart the computer for changes to take effect. Restarting the computer will create new keys.

NOTE: If the problem persists, then you can take backup of the MSLicensing registry key and to load it on the computer of the problem, this will fix the problem.

Visit this link for more information:
    http://TechNet.Microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc756826 (WS.10) .aspx

Important: Incorrectly editing the registry can cause serious problems on the computer.
    Back up the registry: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/Back-up-the-registry

Try the steps and check the result.

I've always used my blackberry to tether my phone but I get the following error message and I can't solve this problem, any help would be appreciated, thanks!

The connection attempt failed because the modem (or other connecting device) on the remote computer is out of use. Error 777

    Hello

It seems that the blackberry is not more.

Pass the installation attaches on the blackberry and make sure that it is configured properly and work.

  • Remote Desktop disconnected. The remote computer disconnected the session because of an error in the licensing protocol. Try to connect to the computer again.

I understand there is a patch to 'fix' it, but I don't know how to access.  Can anyone help?   Thank you.

Here is an article on this problem with a proposed solution - although it seems a bit risky.  I would create a point system restore and backup of the registry before trying. http://kjctech.net/2009/06/12/the-remote-computer-disconnected-the-session-because-of-an-error/.  The same answer is given by Microsoft here: http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=187614.

Here is an another artidle which includes essentially the same correction (although I didn't check closely to see if they were the same): http://www.techbuzz.in/how-to-fix-the-remote-computer-disconnected-the-session-because-of-an-error-in-the-licensing-protocol-in-windows-vista.php.

The thing is, I can't find a clear answer, if this applies between two ordinary computers or between a server and a computer.  I hope that the solution works in both cases.  If this isn't the case, you can still use the system restore to go back to the old situation and we can try to find another solution.

I hope this helps.  Keep me posted.

    Good luck!

How use remote desktop to view the programs that are running on the remote computer. I connect to the pc remotely is used to monitor a communication system for the alarms. The alarm Viewer application runs as a service. When I connect locally to the computer, I can see the application and view the status of the alarm system. When I connect via remote desktop, I can't.
