Disks dvd conversion to blackBerry Smartphones

No one knows the best way to convert a dvd to the 9000 "BOLD". All free software and idiots to do an English. See you soon

Hello

I use "Any Video Converter" (http://www.any-video-converter.com/products/for_video_free/). Its fast and works well.

Convert to MP4, video bitrate 768, 320 x 240 *, 30 images/s, 128 audio bitrate. The files end up bigger that necessary because when you play on the "BOLD", I don't see much difference between the use of 768, 512 and sometimes 384 for the video.

That said, when get my next phone that will no doubt have a plu screen bright, sharper, I won't have to redo each of them. Its kinda of "scalability".

* 320 x 240 is not the normal resolution or for "BOLD" aspect ratio, but it was for my old Nokia. I continued to use this parameter with the "BOLD" and the videos are not stretched or crushed. Again, it is a bit of scalability in case future models have different screens.

I got as much as Yes, it can be done, but impossible to find someone who knows how to do so that I can hear my messages. They say I must be able to convert VBK to wav file. and they don't know how to make that happen. Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi and welcome to the forums!

This is a golden oldie, but he always comes back every now and then.

There are restrictions regarding the .wav file that is created.

I'd hate to see you get converted into a .wav file that is encoded with the wrong codec.

    Read this for any relevance.

"Cisco Unity has been configured for recording voice mail of the .wav files in format G729A, which is not natively supported by the Service of attachment of a BlackBerry. The BlackBerry attachment Service is unable to decode and translate the attachment in a format that can be opened on the BlackBerry smartphone. • Conversion of blackBerry Smartphones. jpg.rem to .jpg someone?

Life could be so simple. I take a picture; It is stored as. jpg.rem on BB Bold 9000, no matter whether I turn off encryption for the media. I can get it my laptop through USB mass storage connectivity, but then what do I do to convert the. jpg.rem in a plain .jpg? It goes the same for other files written by other applications, such as the export of bbtracker a. gpx.rem...

    Thanks for the tips,

    -Axel

Here's what I discovered today, after adding a card memory (8 GB). Files saved in the photos / subdirectory on the map not be encrypted. That's very good because it allows me to at least recover the photos directly on the map using the media as well as Media Manager USB mass storage (I probably now is more need anyway). Interestingly, when I ask for an application such as bbTracker to store something to map documents / subdirectory, get the encrypted files. If I tell the app to save on pictures /, no encryption takes place. I suspect that this may have to do with what the BB categorizes as "media files".

If I move a file from the memory of the device encrypted images of the map / subdirectory, it gets decrypted during the copy operation and ends in the clear on the map.

While all this hassle is really not necessary, and once again is an example regarding bad usability of the BB, he at least lets me work around the problem for now.

    Thanks to all who helped.

    Best,

  • Contacts blackBerry Smartphones Nokia and Motorola conversion in Blackberry contacts

I got a deal of my new carrier for two new BlackBerry for the price of a more expensive. So I got a 9700 "BOLD", then my wife receives a Pearl 9100. Now, previously, we used two different phones, she was using a Nokia 3500C (GSM), while I was using a Motorola KRZR K1M CDMA (). I tried port both of our lists of contacts from phone above.

First, I tried to copy the contacts to my wife in the Nokia SIM card. I then put the SIM card in its new BB, and it would not read the SIM card. I guess that's because BB is locked to a specific carrier. My carrier unlock our phones until we've been with them 3 months, that use me at the moment.

Then I simply imported contacts into our PC with Nokia Software and then saved your contacts file to *. CSV format. I also did the same thing on my Motorola, with the Motorola software and also recorded one *. CSV file. When I tried to read the two contacts in the Blackberry Desktop Manager, he returned with an error:

Error has occurred. Error code: 0 x 80040057.

    See the documentation.

I think it has something to do with some of the fields that exist in a phone but not the other. I would have thought that their Intellisync software would know how to take care of this? It's the exact message even if I don't speak of contacts from the old phone to Motorola or the old Nokia phone.

Same thing when I try to import the calendar entries too.

This KB, provides a sample CSV (bottom of the KB, a link)... This might be useful in your quest.

OK, so you need to start with is the following:

    • Article ID: KB05099 Steps to take before selling or after the purchase of a used BlackBerry smartphone

The steps of the WIPE removes prevention device-lock password and return the unit to (almost) a State of "new factory". If the device is locked by password, then you just keep trying until exhaust you all attempts, how much the device will perform the WIPE to remove this password.

Be aware, however, that it didn't is not held here which may have to be performed by the actual owner of the disk... for example, the former carrier may refuse your request to release the BB ANKLE of their BIS system so that you can have your door - create an account BIS for the device. You are not the owner of the disc with that carrier, but as you go through the required legal process, the police various or other reports that you hold some sway with the former carrier.

In addition, it is possible that the previous owner reported to their carrier (and other authorities) as lost, and the unit may now be on the blacklist, which will prevent its features on any carrier anywhere, anything else is done. But, again, these official reports, you have maybe a few extend.

You do not want to check if the device is carrier unlocked or not... If not, then it can only serve as it is originally made for door. Reference:

However, even if unlocked, so also reported as lost, then it still won't fully work on any medium. Except again once you use your police service and other reports as stabilizing with the carrier imposed on the lock.

Also, be aware that no BB devices are universally functional on all carriers. First, each model is made with only a few radio technologies and frequencies that the unit can operate with... and can operate on carriers that operate on those. In addition, each carrier decides what specific device model numbers that they will support for these features BB... If the carrier does not have this device as supported for automatic broadcasting HRT and address book maintenance, then full BIS functions may not be possible, even if it is consistent with what the carriers of radio signals.

You have a lot of work to do. Good luck and let us know!

  • BlackBerry smartphones can not download applications

Hello, I recently brought the new 9320. I have the card memory base San Disk that come with the Blackberry. Also, as soon as I put the phone I downloaded Blackberry Desktop Support software. The desktop software and storage on the phone at the same time options I have a 14.4 MB remaining on the phone storage and 1.4 GB left on my memory card. When I try to download apps on the phone via my WiFi it is said that there is not enough remaining space. I guess that the phone will only attempt to download the application in the device memory. Is it possible that I can get the phone to automatically download the application directly on my memory card? Or is there another problem that prevents me download apps?

    Thank you.

Hello and welcome to the community!

There are three types of potential memory on a BB: 1) application memory, the device memory) 2 and 3) Media/SD Card Memory.

Application memory - it is the most important; It is protected (not available to the user), dedicated and (fixed size) space as the destination for the installation of applications (the BONE itself more certain applications storage, overhead and such). You can't touch AppMemory. You cannot improve the maximum AppMemory that your BB has. It is what it is. Applications can install only here... There is no other choice.

The device memory - it is space on your BB you can touch these files, images, media, etc. In general, it is not very big, but it is available.

Memory card SD/Media- is what it says... your SD card to store files, media, photos, etc.. It can be as large as your BB OS can support... see this KB:

    • KB05461 Sizes of card MicroSD taken in charge by the BlackBerry device software

On some devices/OS levels, you can see 'Free file' (Options > status), I think this is equivalent to AppMemory. You can see on other devices, all the memory usage levels three (Options > memory). Here are some tips to use:

    • KB02843 What is the function of low memory manager on the BlackBerry smartphone
    • KB14320 How to maximize space and power battery life on the BlackBerry smartphone
    • KB14213 Call logs, SMS text and email messages are deleted from the BlackBerry smartphone

Finally, it is always important to correctly close applications when you are finished with them. Using the back or on the red button won't do that - those leave the app to decide what to do... and some let themselves memory-resident, consumes resources on your BB, slowing down the overall performance. On the contrary, to close an application, tap on and select 'Close' or 'Quit'... which force the application to be closed, freeing resources for your new use it consumed. Some applications will always be running (in general - BBMessenger, browser, homescreen, phone and Messages)... but, you should always close them properly - especially the browser... If we leave on a web page, it will not consume only additional resources, but the power of the battery as well.

In addition, each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy. Some have taken to do this on a regular basis as a preventive measure... some as often as once a day. Others got the app QuickPull to automate a simulated Batt Pull.

Thus, issues of the app, it is a question of AppMemory... Please see the information above in order to maximize the amount of free AppMemory on your BB. If your particular model of BB has a limited amount of total AppMemory, then you must understand the mixture of 'must have' for you and then give priority to your "optional elements" in order to charge as much as you can, sacrifice these things of lower priority.

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones SMS TEXT HELP! (and bbm)

My pearl cannot receive new texts.

    It only gets new e-mail...

and unless I have register earlier texts (before this problem happened), all the rest are deleted...

also, my bbm conversations had all been cleaned...

I rebooted my phone from TONS of time... is there a way to reset the phone?

It comes from occurring as you face constraints of memory in your device. The low memory manager (LMM) is activated automatically when the flash available on the BlackBerry smartphone memory decreases less than 400 KB. Flash memory is used to store such as Messages, calendar, Contacts, tasks, Notepad BlackBerry smartphone applications and third-party applications.

    Perform the following steps-

    1. Give a soft reset by removing the battery for 30 sec.
    2. Check the amount of memory is free in your device to Options -> status -> free memory. To view all aspects of database go to Option -> status -> click on the Menu button and then select the database size
    3. Remove the less frequently used application. To remove go to Options -> Advanced Options -> Applications -> highlight the application you want to delete-> click Menu , and then select Remove
    4. If you stored your image in the memory of the device to move them to your media card

  • Backup BlackBerry Smartphones get BB protect compared to the clouds

    Hello world

I tried the manual backup yesterday by the site Web de Blackberry Protect. I successfully backed up the first time and made a few changes on my BB Curve 9300. Freed from some space by deleting messages and other data. I also want to return to the top of that State or to this specific point, I did the backup through the site Web of Protect. To my surprise (and I'm not aware) the new backup crushed my previous where in I need important messages I deleted expects that the backup will just create another set of backup rather than crush the other.

My question is. Are there opportunities that I can restore this backup?

After a few searches on Google and read messages. I knew that the backup is saved in the cloud that has lost the chances of recovering data backup with recovery tools that I can use.  I thought that if I can retrieve/recover deleted files and even formatted disks, technical staff of BB Protect or RIM could do the same and help me with my problem.

Hope my message reached the Cloud for RIM or BB Protect administrator.

    Thanks in advance.

Hello and welcome to the community!

First of all... this site is not a channel for any official communication with, support, or climbing to the RIM. This site is a community of users for volunteers who are trying their best to help each other, but we have no access to any system "back-end" to act on your request. If you really need official support from RIM, you must start with your support contract required string that starts with your mobile service provider, which can degenerate case RIM free of charge to the end user if such is always appropriate.

There is something called incident support, but it costs to just ask the original question, since you are not through the contract, you signed at the time of purchase. If you want to study, you can check it out here:

OK... with that of the road, see:

    • KB25063 How to use BlackBerry Protect to restore data on a BlackBerry smartphone

According to who, it should actually be different dates you can use BB Protect backups. If they are not, however, appear for one reason or another, they are not available to you through any means automatic... and you would need official support (above) of a human being to the RIM to see if it can be recovered.

All this said, I hope that you are not solely on BB Protect for your backup needs. BB Protect only back up (I think) 8 databases, which is a small subset of all the content of all of your valuable data. FYI, here's the process that I always recommend:

Daily - configure BB Protect to save what he can, preferring to WiFi if the network of consumer data carrier is a matter of concern.

    Weekly:

If you're not up to BBM7, then manually save your BBM contacts to the memory of your device or Media Card

As insurance, the backups are reactive or an optional activity. And this process, in my humble OPINION, provides the best protection of all the valuable data that is kept on their BB. When you compare BB Protect backup actually compared this process to protect, I think you will find that the difference is very large. In addition, this process would give you 100% control to keep the previous backups.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Email receipts

I have a BB 8830, my frustration is that when I send an email from my BB or my account gmail online I always receive an email from myself of what I just sent.  How can I stop it?

    Cause of the problem

Webmail Gmail accounts were not separate sent items and Inbox folders. The web page of Gmail account contains a Messages link on the left side, but is not a folder separate from the Inbox. Webmail gmail messages are grouped into conversations, which leads to all messages sent and responses of others appearing as an entry of a single e-mail message in the Inbox. This allows to easily read and look on the web page of Gmail, but, when it is integrated with the BlackBerry Internet Service account, results in copies of sent e-mails on the BlackBerry smartphone as new e-mail messages.

    Resolution

To prevent messages sent back to the BlackBerry smartphone each time, create a filter in the BlackBerry Internet Service account to block sending these messages to the BlackBerry smartphone.

To create a filter, follow these steps:

    1. Connect to the BlackBerry Internet Service account. For instructions on how to connect to the BlackBerry Internet Service account, see KB03781.
    2. Click the icon of filters next to the built-in Gmail account.
    3. To create a new filter, click Add a filter .
    4. Configure the filter to ensure that messages are not sent to the BlackBerry smartphone if the message coming from the integration of webmail Gmail account:
    • Type a name for the filter in the filter name field. For example, my messages to email Gmail.
    • Assign to the field filter to apply when 'FROM' field.
    • In the contains field, type the address of the Gmail webmail. For example, @gmail.com >.
    • Select the next radio button of do not forward messages to unit.
    • Click on add filter.

Note: After you create this filter, e-mail messages will not be received on the smartphone BlackBerry if sent to the Gmail webmail account.
