Drive DVD Toshiba on Satellite U300 does not

I have a new Sat U300 and the Toshiba DVD player refuses to work, the message is that a module is missing.

Any ideas?

Hello

WHERE´s the problem. Uninstall the current version installed, and then reinstall the Toshiba HD-DVD player. It would be best if you look at the [Download Driver Toshiba Site | http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/download_drivers_bios.jsp] updates to this program.

If this is not enough, all your backup files and perform a full system recovery, which should really help.

Otherwise, give a few comments here.

Good bye

  • Drive HARD TOSHIBA CANVIO 3.0 does not work with USB 3.0 ports

    Hello

I bought an external TOSHIBA HARD USB3 CANVIO 3.0 disc MORE.
I and laptop computer from other manufacturers that support USB3. When I connect the USB2 HARD drive it works and I can copy or paste my files but when I connect the HARD drive to the port USB3 that it doesn't work and my laptop cannot detect HDD with USB3.

I've updated my driver USB3, once again, but when I connect it to USB3 just turn on the blue light and nothing more.

Please tell me what can I do to solve my problem?

This link is my HARD drive type and model: http://storage.toshiba.eu/cms/en/hdd/external_drives/

    Thank you

Have you tried to contact support for laptop and ask whether something should be activated or changed for this port USB3.0? Maybe some BIOS settings.

If possible, try to check the functionality of some other USB3.0 available PC/laptop.

As much as I know there not something special that will help you. It is Plug & Play device.

  • Toshiba Recovery Disc Creator does not work on my Satellite P300

    Hello

I need to make my drive recovery for my Satellite P300 (PSPCCA-05V01Y), but the Toshiba Recovery Disc Creator does not work, as it is said that it is not a file on the pc HARD drive recovery.
I tried before, and he had a problem with the core files, saying he was corrupt.
So I was wondering if there is in any case I can download the installation of HARD drive recovery so that I can install and put it back to "factory condition" and reburn the recovery disk?
    Cheers for any help
    Mikey

    Hello Mikey

The situation is quite complicated. When you've got your laptop recovery files was recorded on the second partition in folder HDDRecovery. The second partition and backup files should not be modified.

If you did something with the second partition or this file recovery Toshiba creator cannot find these files and the recovery media cannot be created. This will work with the factory only settings. but I see another problem there.
Theoretically, you can now install new OS using the installation procedure of recovery HARD drive and with factory State, you should be able to create DVDs, but if the Toshiba Recovery creator can not find the files I'm afraid that the installation of HARD drive recovery can have the same problem.

If you want you can test. Try to start the installation of HARD drive recovery.

  • Satellite C660 does not start on disc or USB

My Toshiba Satellite C660-DSC0QE app, BIOS version 1.80, will not start Windows more - it just goes to the dreaded black screen with white cursor.

I tried a system Win 7 recovery disk, a USB with software from Kaspersky on her recovery and even a full Win 7 installation disc, and it does not start at one of them.

The boot order is set correctly, (optical drive or USB port) devices are read, but their initialization never actually in them - there is an obscure error message, or it acts like they weren't there at all.

The obvious answer to these forums seems to be disable secure boot mode and then switch the to the CSM UEFI boot mode. Easier said than done - the menu options don't exist at all in my BIOS/CMOS screens.

Finally, I see no way in the instructions to get a BIOS update occur without being already in Windows on the PC - http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/HTD9502M10000R01.htm I'm assuming that the BIOS version 2.00 would have these options.

    Any help gratefully accepted!

    Hello

I assumed that you have a white blinking cursor in the upper left corner.
    Is this correct?

These symptoms appear where the system can not find a boot device (HARD drive) or memory problems (RAM module).

First of all, you said that you have UEFI / CSM boot mode in the BIOS settings.
So I m asking you what parameters of start mode appear in BIOS exactly?
Find you these settings in the right area?
Usually, you should have an area (tab) called security in the BIOS.
In most cases, you will find a safe boot option, but the Satellite C660 does not support this option because it s too old.
But the startup mode (UEFI /CSM) should be available in the BIOS. Check the settings in the BIOS of the system area

Anyway, as I said above; It could also be a memory problem, so I recommend you to check if the memory is OK.

  • Satellite L655 does not load

    Hello

My satellite L655 does not load, BUT it works fine when I charge the battery of my second toshiba laptop
also does not open when I plug just the charger without the battery (led power 3min.from-no at all)

    charger works fine
    battery works very well
    tested on my other toshiba

It works when I plug a charged battery ready.

    Any guys help?

    > It doesn't work when I plug a charged battery ready.

It seems that there is a problem with electronic control gear.
I mean that the laptop does not work even if plugged into the sector.
It is certainly a problem given that all laptops would work without battery connected but connected to the power outlet.

So I think there is a problem with the electronics which is part of the main map.

  • Satellite A300D does not illuminate

Toshiba Satellite A300D does not illuminate

The battery light is red when it is plugged in with the light of the white plug

When I press the power button it lights up two other fires, and one that looks like a sheet a4 fact paper.it a vibration when turning it on also.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Disconnect the power adapter and remove the battery.
Leave the laptop unplugged and then hold down power button / stop along 30 sec.
Then reconnect the two parts and check how the unit works.

In which case nothing would be visible on the screen, try replacing the RAM modules. Perhaps one of the modules is the troublemaker
Otherwise if the RAM modules are OK, the problem could be linked to the motherboard.

  • Satellite sometimes does not detect the wireless network

    Hello

My laptop Satellite sometimes does not detect wireless networks and the only thing I can do is to restart my computer, is there a solution for this?

    Hello

Well, in most cases the WLan driver update could solve this problem.
In addition its advised to check the firmware of the might of Wlan router must be updated as well.
I recommend also to reset the settings of the WLan router and set it up again

Another idea; Disable the save option in Win 7 the power supply WLan management

  • Satellite A300 does not Logitech Bluetooth receiver.

    Hello

My problem is that I don't know exactly what the problem...
I have a laptop of 1MS Satellite A300 does not have built-in Bluetooth

I have a bluetooth (MX5000 series) Logitech mouse that I installed for Windows Vista (I downloaded the latest driver of Logitech's official website)
The Logitech software for bluetotth is called set point and the Assembly says I can connect other bluetooth devices through the bluetooth mouse receiver (like a cell phone, for example).

The mouse works perfectly well, the problem starts when I try to connect my cell phone to the laptop (with the Nokia PC Suite software). I get a message that says that there is no bluetooth hardware installed. I tried to look in the bluetooth configuration control panel, but it isn't here. I can't find a folder or a tool that allows me to set up bluetooth.

I would like to know what is the problem, why my laptop does not recognize the bluetooth receiver.
I used to have installed on another laptop with Windows XP and it used to work without any problems.

I tried the receiver in all the USB ports on the laptop with no result.

    Hi guys

I can say with certainty that the Satellite A300-1 ms was not was equipped with the internal BT module and so the laptop does not recognize the Bluetooth receiver
If you want to connect to the laptop to the external BT device then you need a BT USB key for example.

  • Drive DVD M305D-S4830 satellite disappears

I just bought M305D-S4830 during the visit to the United States, 3 days ago, but for some reason, the DVD drive disappears. No error message does not appear, according to the system event viewer is "disconnected".

The drive light flashes, but it cannot be ejected\opened.

Usually, he returned after a reboot, but will disappear after a few moments.

    Any ideas?

Did you install some virtual odd emulation program or the CD/DVD creation tool? Read there might be some conflicts between some of them, then try to uninstall them.

Another thing you could try is this:

Open the Device Manager in control panel - system and remove the drive from the list of devices CD/DVD.

Then start the registry (run open as-> regedit) and delete the Upperfilters and Lowerfilters completely from the following registry key values:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Class {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}

  • USB ports, CD/DVD player, and Mike just does not work

So I'm pretty sure that these things are happening at the same time, although there are risks my trying to troubleshoot the USB ports have contributed to the failure of the microphone (internal and will not capture sound) and cd/dvd drive (not open). Perhaps? It is true that I know little about these kinds of things, but I'm much less following the indications which is what I did to try to tackle the problem of USB port, which was the first I noticed. I followed all the advice I could find online for troubleshooting when all usb ports do not respond. I used Device Manager to disable in its regular and safe mode. I also uninstalled them all in both modes (even if they reinstall until I'm able to restart). I unplugged and wait 5, 10, 15 min etc. There was a difficulty mentioned about watching the. Mine and INF files do not contain the mentioned error. I'm tempted to all my files backup and restore the computer to factory settings, especially now that the CD/DVD player and the micro does not work. This would solve the problem? If these things are related? Could even restore settings because I can't have in the cd/dvd drive? It's a dell inspiron 1721, and it crushed while you restart for almost a whole day just all the time I've began to notice all these malfunctions. I really appreciate any guidance!

Good so I solved all of these problems. I don't know what did the trick, but when I went back in the BIOS to re - activate the ports they have worked!
