• Droid SMS sent/received times?

  I recently had a (service through Verizon) Droid and ran into a little problem.

  When I receive an SMS, it lists a "sent" time, but that time is not the time the message was sent, but rather when I received it.  This means that if I have an SMS sent to me while my phone is turned off, it will list always time 'sent' as when I turned on my phone back.  Not very useful.  Any ideas on how to solve this problem? (or is there no solution with the current version of the android OS?)

  I think that the motorcycle or Google devs are aware of this and it is apparently on the menu "correction". I never mine turn off

  After finally taking the plunge and buying a droid, joining the world 3G of the 21st century, I seem not to be able to select multiple contacts, the way in which I used when texting. Could someone tell me what I am doing wrong? I can only understand how to send a message to a contact at a time. I don't seem to find a lot of help in the online guide.

  You can easily send to multiple contacts with just a comma between each contact.  If you start typing a name from contacts, a drop down menu appears with options for contacts you can choose also.  Alternatively, you can get the app Handcent SMS (NEW) of the market.  This will also give you the possibility to enter in your contact list and check the contacts you want to add to the text.  I hope this help you.

  From the call duration use call log.

  Hello eveybody.

  This is my first post and my first BB, I have the BB Bold 9700 with T - Mo. Here's my question:

  How to configure the BB to display the coordinates on the text message. Whenever I get a text message it shows just the phone number not the name, but when I connect to my home WiFi, the name to populate the text messages, but when I dissconnect the Wi - FI names disappear and phone numbers... I must have done something stupid when I was installing my contacts and or WI - FI

• How to backup Contacts on DROID

  My previous phone was a LG DARE and to back up all my contacts, it was the BACK UP ASST at Verizon.  It would download and save every night. I actually used to transfer all my contacts to my last three phones.  How to back up our contacts on the DROID.  They did the transfer of the LG DARE for the DROID to the VZ store.  I just want to be safe, just in case the update (do not have) mess anything.or I have to do a factory reset. Any info would be helpful.  Thank you

  While the synchronization of accounts is a great feature - it is NOT the same thing as the backup of your data.

  Just as importantly, you should never backs up your data to the same disk/device you are trying to protect.

  To back up your contacts after sync with your gmail account, you should then export your gmail contacts to a csv file and save it on your computer or, better yet, your computer and a server off-site.

  The best way to save your contact is to use one of the applications of the market which will allow you to save not only your contacts, but all your Droid settings, call logs, sms/mms and photos as well.

  MyBackup is one of them (30-day free trial and then $4.99, I think). I don't know that there are others.

  I'm in a restaurant with no cellular service, but they have wifi.  I can't send a message to a droid.  What technical problems that prevent?  Seems to me that once you get the text (data) on a network, it should be able to be converted (if necessary) and delivered to a number?  What Miss me?  Thank you

  SMS (text messages) use the cellular signal. Only the Apple iMessage can send messages to other Apple devices using data other than cell phones.

• Sync info does not stick on the desk and a link shared on Android FF, where on the desktop?

  If you don't mind, I have two questions. The first is in what regards to Firefox Sync on Windows 7 x 64. Windows Firefox 19.0.2 won't save my login Firefox Sync. Whenever I start my browser that I put in the key name to username/password / recover.

  This is the context and which, in my view, could be the cause of my problem. I was with an account of synchronization to synchronize between Win Office, computer laptop Win and a portable work Win. Sync worked for years with no problems before, for me. Finally got rid of Symbian for Android and I set up Firefox Sync on my Droid phone. Unfortunately, she totally trashed my favorites. So I show all my browsers (Firefox Android) and restored my bookmarks from a backup and created a new account to sync to start over (ensure that no corrupted data was be synchronized). Since I did it, Firefox desktop won't save my synchronization with the new or old account login information. I could rebuild my profile from scratch but I use this profile for a few years and rebuilding it will be really a lot of time. If I have no choice, I'll take my vacation time during the Easter holidays to do, but the man who really sucks I had the intention to leave the laptops at home. I would appreciate it so any ideas on how I can fix without having to start from scratch?

  My 2nd question is in regards to Firefox Sync on Android. Before I took off all my devices in my old account Sync I have played with the sharing for Firefox Sync feature and couldn't make it work. So my question is, if I shared a link to 'Firefox Sync' on my phone Droid, how to access this link on your desktop? I could not find anywhere.

  I am a fool! Fixed today on my work computer and the fix worked on my home computers, so this post is closed. Under the browser close cleanup actions in the privacy settings, I had the option of passwords clear verified. Uncontrolled which and the info FF Sync stuck.

  I use lastpass, so I had that checked to erase whatever it was captured by Firefox. Never put it together that's not only erase web passwords but past extension too, since my pocket and other passwords extension all stuck. I have same subbed to Xmarks before I left and stuck his name of user and password.

  Anyway, putting this here in case someone else made the same stupid embarrassing mistake I did.

• What address info iMessaging uses to communicate between devices?

  I wonder if anyone knows what info address is used (required) to transmit messages between Apple devices.  Is - this phone number or email address?  I have an iPad and exchanged messages with other iPads and also successfully iPhones.  iPads do not use telephone numbers (that I know) and iPhones need phone numbers and e-mail addresses to perform their multiple functionality.  Also, whence the iMessaging app get it is coordinated with and how does he know if a specific contact is able to use the function iMessaging?  Also, I have a contact who is an iPhone user and I can't send the contact a message successfully.  What would prevent that from happening?

But they can't provide me with just the firmware.621 for the Droid 2 cover their own ASSES? LOOKS LIKE THEY WANT THEIR CUSTOMERS TO BE HAPPY. BUT I SEE THAT IT IS QUITE TO THE CONTRARY. I will never buy another product from them ever again! EVERYONE TO STEER CLEAR OF THEIR CRAPPY SERVICE. After paying nearly $1,000 USD for their products, they will be hung up on & feed you the same line of nonsense showing the only option 'US' (AS IN A RANDOM underpaid CUSTOMER SERVICE AGENT) have only the ability to refer you to the service of repair service to have your phone BOOK AND NOT GIVEN on A MONTHS. Just think of the time and the pain that they would save a lot of people if they would release just this specific firmware version. I could have done in less than 5 minutes and be on my pleasure getting married, yet feed the mouth of Dan Moloney (President) & Sanjay Jha (President and CEO). Fucking flat back, with service agents speaking English-no customer! I understand even half crap which poured in their mouths! This shows that you, expensive products, cheap crap customer service. • Droid Maxx (Kitkat) - car dock Griffin (Dialer)

  Today, I write about my current business with Motorola. This is the case number is140121-006278.

  I use my car griffin dock to make and receive calls on my Maxx Droid while I'm on the road.

  I noticed since the update of Kitkat on my Droid Maxx replacement I got Verizon today only once

  I use the Dock car numbers on the keypad are really hard to press. I have been troubleshooting

  with Motorola and Verizon Tier 2 Tech Support level 2 and were able to get this fixed up.

  Info on the device:

  We tried things:

  I don't know what to do, because even the gal that helped me at the Verizon store Corporate in Beaverton, OR say the same thing on his Droid Ultra with Kitkat.

  Has anyone else noticed this who has the car Dock Griffin made 4 Ultra Droid & Maxx or has heard of this problem?

• Problem with email and SMS, after 1.3.5

  First, I would like to say that I like the Pre. Up to this point, he's been perfect - I have a replacement, but it's because I gave up (bad angle, bad location, broken screen). However, following the 1.3.5 update I have now a problem quite important with email and sms - I can receive messages and email, but not send them.

  I have two e-mail accounts. My personal account is with earthlink. My business account through an ISP that uses the domain name of my employer. I do not use Microsoft Exchange or Outlook. I tried to remove and reinsert accounts and that did not work. I can receive messages but receive error messages when I try to send.

  Ditto for Messaging. I don't use it very often. But yesterday I receive a text message and tried to answer and got the error message.

  I power the phone off every night because I have a landline phone and use it as the main telephone at home.

  I looked around bulletin boards, trying to find a solution for this.  Has anyone had this problem and it was resolved?

  I forgot to add that there is a stock of pre. There is no patch or homebrew apps.

  I found a fix for the problem of e-mail messages on precentral and this Council a few months ago. The info came in a Google search and not the research councils, which is frustrating.  Here is the info and the link.  I wish really that Palm info on this work around on their site, or at least makes it easy for people to find.  The solution is the last post in the thread linked below:

  Had the same problem.  Checked with Earthlink - no help.  Checked with Sprint - without help.  Checked with Palm - no help.  Finally, here's what worked:

  Delete the earthlink account and start again.  When you do - it's the key - set up the account manually.  If you use the default settings of pre and try to change the settings it will not fix the problem. Your settings for outgoing mail must be:

  "smtpauth.earthlink.net.

  Use authentication in position 'on '.

  user name is your email address

  your password by e-mail

  Port "587" value

  encryption 'none '.

  Again, the key is to set it manually.
